Baby bird thing is only a myth, if one fell out of the nest put it back in or else it will probably just die
Lildogdog RS if the baby bird is very developed or fully feathered then it is probably a fledgling and should be left alone. Otherwise, put them back
Long story short, no, touching a baby bird will not make the mother abandon it, but good news is, even at that age, the mother might have known it was there, and been cool with it. Birbs are funny.

That bird wasnt that young it was of age to fly but it just wasnt strong enough yet

I believe most of those were green ear sunfish also referred to as black perch, great for flathead fishing.

what you did with the gate is great but here in Nevada we have a ton of fences on public land for cattle that graze on public so it makes it way harder for us to know private from public

Hey Rob they sell powder attractants at Walmart and you can even use bread but you could buy a cast net and throw bread or the attractant in the middle then throw the cast net.

Probably didn't need saving.
Even extremely young birds are sometimes seemingly lost, but if you watch for a while, you'll usually see the mother come back, feed it, and protect it.
