We built one of those using rabbit wire and pool noodles. lol We used ours as a live well on the river though. To keep turtles out while running trotlines
Hey Rob, great vid but Im gonna try and warn you about the floating deer blind. I have a decently large floating dock on a pond, and ive attempted to shoot deer rifles off of it before. Not to say that it can't be done, but even if theres very little wind, any slight movement of the dock makes it very difficult to get an accurate shot with any decent magnification at a distance. When you're looking down that scope, any slight movement of the dock causes the cross hairs to sway which can mean huge error at distance.
We build traps like this a lot here in Jersey to remove and rehome turtles. You may want to make it a bit shallower. If you are looking to rehome them. The deeper will cause them to struggle and may cause them to drown.
That minno y’all pulled out of the pond is called a mosquito fish. They are great for your pond and the bass will eat them up. They get about an inch long and multiply like crazy.
my father was a prolific lake fisherman , brown trout , salmon , and 50+ lb pike . he thought my brother to fish as i was more into chasing parked cars . really enjoy your vids Rob , be safe from Dublin Ireland
Hey a little tip on the PVC glue once you're done using them turn them upside down and let them sit and next time you use them they won't harden up on you when you go to unscrew them
Don't know about a floating blind, but a family friend has a strip of land that backs the nature preserve on the lake. Something about shooting towards the preserve and hunting with in a certain amount of yards from the boundary. So they went out into the lake shooting towards their own property from a pontoon. The big boys never showed, they did get a nice Doe. I'm sure people have hunted from islands shooting towards shore and boats, so a dedicated boat blind, absolutely. Don't forget to get orange life vests.
In 1980 my Granpa gave me a bolt action .22 to take care of the turtles and Cotton mouths. I was a 10 year old sniper. Still have the rifle in my safe. From Mckinney so probably near your pond.
Definitely a largemouth. I just looked up largemouth bad fry and that is exactly what they look like. Kinda clear with the lateral line and that silverish spot on their stomach
You will hate the master shower pan sliced rock floor, because the water will pool in the grout. My husband’s a custom home tile installer and has replaced many shower pan floors that had that same tile. Just think about your decision before it’s too late.
You may want to ask your contractor to start covering your floors. I can't imagine they wont get scratched up with all the debris on there and you still have a ways to go.
So I'm the same way with home improvement stores. Problem is when u finally figure out where everything is they change up the location and ur screwed. So I usually just find it on their website and it gives an isle #, almost everytime you do ask for help and nobody knows where it is anyways or what ur talking about.
No one should ever wander aimlessly. Every big box store has a website to tell you exactly where to go. Plus they have this cool thing called signs the beginning and end of every isle telling you where things are
2:08 You have the exact opposite in ny... you cant get help for a DAMN thing... and you need employees because everything more than 75 bucks is locked up
Don't blame u for not paying that much for a 2 ft piece of PVC. The funny thing is you can buy a 10 ft piece and they will cut it into 5 2ft pieces for free
That might take care of 10% of the turtles. You are going to have to get turtle traps and put bait in them. No way to get rid of them forever though. But thanks for relocating them and not killing them. If you did it for food, no problem but just shooting them wouldn’t be cool. I like turtles.
I shall not reveal the name of the lake, but you, Chris, Jon b and rack attack have fish it deep in the deep east. but I know a man who jacked a 44 lb bag in late June. every fish's tail was dripping blood.
Download the FREE Upside App at upside.app.link/lunkers to get an extra 25 cents back for every gallon on your first tank of gas.

Thanks to BamaBass, I’m now addicted to these pond vids
Tell me about it😂
Right? I watch all of these that I find.
Yes lol
So many popping up since the Crimson Oak Pond went live...
Rob's pond is pretty sick though with all the trees

What percentage of pvc sold is actually used for plumbing and not for all the crazy projects and solutions people come up with?😂😂😂😂
PVC Projects were like 3D printing before 3D printing was 3D printing.
@@jetfuelg4083 dang, I need to get a 3d printer! I’m still PVCing everything!🤣🤣
@@jetfuelg4083do you mean 3D printing or 3D printing?
60-70%

Will adjust it
Thanks for the video, ponds are hot right now! I hope we get to see what you catch in the turtle trap.

Good to know
So cool seeing mister zaladin or however you spell Chris’s last name love to see him as part of the channel for a episode
Another great video new home looking amazing and looking forward for the progress on the lake and land
Thanks mark

Absolutely love the floating deer blind idea!
So stoked to see Zaldain in the video!

Throw out some native wildflower seeds to attract more bugs. Be good for the pollinators too

Great video. Thank you for sharing
I wanna see that floating deer blind🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think a floating blind would be cool got to do something wile you sit watching for deer why not fish and hut combo
it's starting to turn spicy already and it's only just begun to take place
Floating deer blind sounds awesome
Floating deer blind with holes in the bottom to simulate some Texas Ice Fishing, ive never heard of a better idea
Always a good day when we get a video
🤖
You could just get a layout boat and use that as your blind. Or just go full in on a Mud Boat.
That's definitely a Bass minnow 😂👍

Pretty wild then
May have to put 4 more pvc pipes under the ones you got. Get it up out of the water some so they can’t crawl out . Great idea you have though.
Great idea
Use traps but you can also have target practice. Turtles do fly! Turtles have little claws. They can climb up a board no problem.
Those zip ties holding the grate on will be snapping after a month or two. Shoulda done metal.
The fry kinda looked like a mud minnow to me. If you built the pond with a creek runoff it’s possible that it came from there.
Going to lowes over home depot tells me everything i need to know. He doesnt build much 😂
Leave an opening on floor inside the floating blind so you can fish and hunt at same time
You will hate the master shower pan sliced rock floor, because the water will pool in the grout. My husband’s a custom home tile installer and has replaced many shower pan floors that had that same tile. Just think about your decision before it’s too late.
Damn i hate those pvc glue lids🤣
Took till 12:27 to see actual pond for those wondering
You guys should do a video of a 1v1 in Puerto Rico with indigenous species of fish
PVC pipe cleaner is red in Australia, how interesting!
It's just a purple primer.
@@jeremysmith8529 primer is all red in Aus

Have to check Texas/Oklahoma law (idr what state this property is in) about shouting deer from the water. If it's GTG it'll be a banger....
That tiny fish you got was 1/10th the size of the smallest fish you planted yesterday.
👍
U should of put a trail cam to watch the turtle trap
Can do
Yah that would be sweet
If that dont work do two storys of pvc it will float higher in the water and will keep the turtles from climbing out
Make it to were you can pull the boat into the blind. Then go sit in your chair and wait for the thirty pointer
Definitely miss u on "speak the truth".

Almost 100% sure that is largemouth bass fry. Crazy for this time of year but not impossible
Latest I’ve seen in Texas
I’m in Alabama I’ve seen it once this time of year on Jordan
I searched for images of baby bass fry and that's what that was for sure!
No one should ever wander aimlessly. Every big box store has a website to tell you exactly where to go. Plus they have this cool thing called signs the beginning and end of every isle telling you where things are
In most states it's illegal to hunt deer from the water, not sure about Oklahoma
how did your camera follow you when you was getting that long piece of pvc
Magic
Still waiting for you to get back on Speak the truth for a visit ROB banana gang misses you!!!!
Im not sure about your state, but ive never seen a floating deer blind in Canada because its illegal. Just a thought.....
2:08 You have the exact opposite in ny... you cant get help for a DAMN thing... and you need employees because everything more than 75 bucks is locked up
Definitely put some dead fish in the trap to bait them in
Who supplied the lumber for your new house? Was it Big D Lumber? If so, my brother-in-law and his dad owned that
In some states, it's illegal to hunt deer from a boat or float.
A turtle can easily climb over PVC. Itll use the net for leverage
turtles can even climb over fences and even trees. Yeah its a slow climb but a climb nonetheless
Just what I was looking for, we have the most turtles I have ever seen this year in our pond located in Dallas. Thanks for information
Floating deer blind! Add a trolling motor and it sounds like a Oklahoma drive by to me! 😂🤣😂
Lol
I'm pretty sure that little fish is a monnow called a mosquito eater
I just started asking for help on finding things but the advice don’t need it thanks man unless your older than me I don’t want your advice haha
Get lowes app will tell you if in stock and what aisles it in.
Now we need you to get back to Speak the Truth!
I wonder how many turtles it'll take on the 2x6 to weigh it down enough to let some of the trapped turtles escape....
As a former pool man please leave the pump alone 😅😅😅
You should of used that busted ass boat to make your floating blind. Apparently it doesn't sink
Won't your recently added bait fish go over the spillway?
Maybe some but not enough to do anything
@@LunkersTV Be sure to check and see what's going over after a big rain....you might be surprised! Love the videos!!
Just pvc primer? No glue? You should have asked for help🤣
What went on after the primer…
Use bailing wire
Did ya jump on June 6th?
Make it a floating deer blind with ice fishing style removable ports in the floor so you can fish while you hunt.
I don't think they get ice that far south
He’s just talking about make the floor have holes in it so u can drop bait down below it like you would with ice
Don't blame u for not paying that much for a 2 ft piece of PVC. The funny thing is you can buy a 10 ft piece and they will cut it into 5 2ft pieces for free
Rob those are 90 degree angles
Just a heads up, you don't need primer if it's not going to be under pressure.
That was a mosquito fish that he slapped with a rod not a bass.
When are you going to make an appearance on STT podcast?
That was a bass you had it out the water so long
sometimes birds transplant fish to new water ways
aint gunna lie… those workers are messy….
Lowe’s app will use your location, it’ll know you’re in a store and will tell you what isle and bay to find the item.
Please show the turtles you catch in the trap
I doubt showing dead turtles after they drown will be good for his channel
why do turtles hurt the lake u are building rob ? i am curious. i guess i just figured they would be good for eco systems
They eat alot of fish
Dude get your phone out and look on the stores website, they show the location on it. It what a lot of the employees do anyway.
What happen to his eBay and whatnot business?
Omg bro……use tie wire please
🍻🍻

I love how you try to relate with your viewers by complaining about buying gas and how much it costs you.
Not matter how much money you make in life one will always complain about the price of gas or diesel cause it’s simply ridiculous
@@Capper69 keep thinking that buddy
Just because I found a way to make money doesn’t mean I don’t value the money I’ve made.
You know they will cut it for you
That was 100% a largemouth bass fry. They can spawn as late as June in Oklahoma. It depends on the water temps.
Back wall
That looks more like mosquito fish fry.
Best videos!

what 45 degree angles?
