- I had the dream opportunity to get behind the wheel of an iconic Pagani Zonda, and most specifically the very specific Zonda F Clubsport that took a Nurburgring Nordschleife lap record in 2007! With thanks to Carugati Automobiles in Geneva, we jump into the legendary Pagani for a drive to see what it's all about and let that V12 sing!
The Pagani Zonda itself was first introduced in 1999 at the Geneva Motorshow, even this model, the Zonda F, was introduced then at Geneva in 2005. Just this week the latest and final, final, final Zonda has also been launched at the show a whole 19 years later in the form of the Zonda HP Barchetta. Having had an opportunity to drive an early Zonda S before now, this was my second ever Zonda outing and of course the first in the F and I have to say it felt remarkably more a step ahead and refined. Only 25 F Coupes were built, and 25 F Roadsters as well; of which just 6 are full carbon bodies like this car.
With a 7.3l naturally aspirated V12, making 602 horsepower and 760Nm torque, you feel connected to the car through the manual gearbox but aware of not only its scale but also its value at approximately €2.5m for a carbon Zonda F and then some more for the historical pedigree of this specific car.

So here I am, having missed the old Zonda I searched “Pagani Zonda F” on youtube just to see how on top of the supercar game this Zonda was back in it’s time. And amongs the search results pops up a Shmee video with a Zonda in it that says “uploaded 5 minutes ago”.

The Zonda should not end! Been my fav car for 16yrs. As a kid i saw the 1st gen C12 in a car book & its been my fav ever since. Ive seen only 3 in person (C12 S, Monza & HP Barchetta) & its my dream car. Just dont want it to end 😞

Shmee150 yeah i know Tim just love seeing new builds etc. Being in America these are super rare. Theyre are more chirons centenarios LaFs P1s etc than the Zonda. I know Dan has 3 in Cali & Huayras are all over the country but in NY area i think theres atleast 2 Huayras & maybe a Zonda or 2. Hope one day i can visit the factory.
No car has a better engine and exhaust.... I love this car.

Justice Warrior no turbos, and a naturally aspirated 7.3L V12. How many cars can you say that about? It's about the experience you don't get in any other Pagani, or any hyper pcar for that matter.

Probably my favorite designers ever. Just can easily tell a Pagani so quickly. Interior... every single thing is just beautiful. Exterior is amazing. Love them all. Never even heard of them until about 2006 or 2008 watching BBC AMERICA channel and saw on Top Gear.

Dont get me wrong a 760rs is amazing just feel like the F and F roadster are the sweet spot in terms of design, all Zondas that followed seem very fussy in comparison.
I don't care if its special edition or not, a Zonda is a Zonda, even more so now that they have stop making them.

Epic!
This car reminds me of a Miyazaki film, or something steam punk. The interior evokes WW1 fighter plane, with the yellow leather around the pedal box on the floor...the instrument panel feels like a giant Swiss watch. Pagani is an absolute genius - these cars are like paintings that can only go up in value. Plus, maintaining the manual gearbox with the naturally aspirated V12 makes this probably the most thrilling and proper supercar to drive. This car is in the McLaren F1's league IMO.

Horacio pagani is Argentinian, and that is something he wanted to keep present all the time. The name "Zonda" is from a climate phenomenon from argentina. Awesome history he has.
