This helped me so much with my Squating in Powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting. It also helped with my pain in the front of the ankle when I did a lot of hiking.

Thank you so much! I developed the pain while an intense hike. When walking on leveled ground I would be fine but it was until I did an incline that I felt the stabbing pain. I went to physical therapy and got better but not fully recovered from it. I been having the lingering pain. I tried these excersises at my gym and I could instantly feel the stretch.

Rehabbing post compound tib-fib fracture, with a prior ankle fracture (base of fibula) and foot dislocation 7 years ago 🙁
This one, and the one with the toe raises and band around the big toes are things I’m going to try to do every day.

Finally! Been struggling with this ever since a foot/leg injury years ago. Whenever I haven’t walked for a while, and I push my self too hard (walking fast, and put a lot of strain on my legs), the foot becomes like a brick, and just hangs. Basically the front of the ankel. No flex. Also very painful. If I continue to walk I’ll just limp. I either have to take a break or lay down.

    Greetings,
    1. From ours` experience point of view we think, the ankles stretching exercise he shows, may be done more for the quads, than the ankles. We think ankles should be locked, otherwise he may inflamate or tear the ligaments or the tissues of the ankle.
    2. The sidewalk he shows is a semi attempt to twist the ankle, the better exercise we recommend is the calf raises at the stairs. The trick there is not let the heels fall under the stair level, otherwise he would go into achilles hyperextension, which may lead to cramps, absence of motivaton or inflammation.
    Best Regards !

I started trying to strengthen my legs by walking backwards about 2 weeks ago, and about 1 week ago, I started having shin splints and ankle pain in the morning. Are these things related?

These exercises felt great! I’m going to do these everyday to help my tendinitis heal. I wake up every morning with stiffness in this tendon and it hurts so much. The pain goes away after walking on it for a minute. I believe I injured it when I was kneeling down on the right knee and my (35+ lb) toddler sat on my opposing leg that was propped up. It was probably too much weight when I tried to arise from that kneeling position.
