Thanks! I know that you’re not a replacement to visit and have someone specifically look at me, but this is the first video where you focus specifically on this. I’ve had this problem on my right foot for a couple years now and I’ve recently started having it on my left. I’m getting to the point where hurts to 🎉 walk at all and I have two year-old. Not walking is not an option. Going to make sure I stretch better every single night, ice my ankles, get the shoes you recommend and possibly make an appointment.

Thank you!!!! Left leg too short due to broken leg when 13.. now 54 very very active job .. no otc anti inflammatory for 20 years. Your advice diagnosed me so I am better.. but most likely pain is due to fibrosis of anterior tibialis.. foot Dr wants to do Arizona ankle brace.. I really appreciate you!!! Working on calves now
I’ve been to PT for the past 3 years trying to find the cause of my hip pain…then inner knee pain and foot pain. The cause has been unknown. My R foot also turns out and the cause was unknown (I was told lack of hip internal rotation) your video finally described exactly what’s happening.
I drive Uber and finally figured out bad foot positioning has caused this for me. It is improving as I work to maintain my knee and ankle at a 90 degree angle as my default position, and really focusing on keeping my foot/ankle/tibia/calf relaxed while I drive.
I watched this video yesterday and used a rubz ball (ball with spikes on it) and the Stick to massage my foot and calf. I did the massage last night and twice today. I also stretched my hammies, glutes and piriformis muscle this morning. I iced a couple of times and now I am feeling much better. I will try stretching my calf muscles tomorrow and will keep doing the massage with the Stick.

Gosh I just love what a wonderful doctor you are! Not one podiatrist knew what this was when I presented to them when I first had this! I have this in my left foot. This video is amazing. Looking at other TH-cam videos you can just really tell you know more about the topic than most other TH-camrs. One yoga guy whose video is really popular is telling people a bone in their foot popped out and you just need to push it back in. Ridiculous. I have always had tight calves. I stretched by leaning against a wall while keeping the target foot flat on the ground. You probably know the stretch. It's ok but I just got that angled step board you showed at the end and oh my God that is so much nicer. No more foot sliding around trying to get a good angle and sometimes not even feeling the stretch. That thing burns! (in a good way). I'm using it constantly and hoping that alone will fix a lot of things for me but I'll try the other tips you give too. Thanks so much for the video.

I got it after wearing new Hoka Bondi 8 shoes for 2 months at work where I walk on my feet all day. I have very high arches, and was told that particular shoe is not for people with high arches. Can't read the topics and descriptions behind your head. Please figure out how to show the info behind your head. Also, the one thing your graphics showed was an image of a broken or injured Lisfranc ligament that you showed but never talked about. That is where my injury is. Got the injury from playing tennis in not proper tennis shoes that had very flexible soles, I felt the break when it happened. Has not healed. Is surgery the only way to fix the break or can it heal with time?
I don't know how I got it but I fractured my medial malleolus about 20 years ago, I had 3 screws then had them taken out a year later, I've had chronic pain ever since , recent MRI said tibial posterior tendinosis and tenosynovitis with intrasubstance tear, previous deltoid ligament injury with scarring and synovitis in the medial gutter and old anterior talofibular ligament also , I'm tired of being in pain waiting for surgery for the ptt tendon, deltoid ligament and a clean out and now I'm having this pain 😩🙄

I had ORIF for a posterior malleoulous fracture. On day 45 and started walking without support at home with my hooka slippers. I cleaned, walked a lot but… suddenly I started to have pain on the front part of the foot. I put myself back in the boot and non bearing weight for a week, to give it time to heal. Irish dance overuse. In Irish dance it’s a lot of pointing and flexing the feet (mainly ankle movement) along with landing incorrectly, not doing enough rehab exercises after my sprain, and not sufficiently warming up. It’s a common injury in my sport but it still sucks
Please consider updating your video to include the newer recommendations concerning ice and rest. Even the RICE guy, Gabe Mirkin, changed his recommendation.
In some of my newer videos I go over this a lot including tbe new studies. Rice is not meant to heal rapidly, it's meant to stop night time or throbbing pain in injuries. Early mobilization definitely great, but icing will not hurt or damage anything 😊🙏❤️
Thank you! As an acupuncturist, I see a lot of people using cold exclusively, or cold / heat alternating. If they are told cold, or alternating, that's what they remember.@@DrTomBiernacki

@michigan foot doctors, I'm in Michigan city of Detroit, and would like to know who do you reccomend for bunion surgery?
I know a guy! www.michiganfootdoctors.com/
Thanks - this was helpful.
Did a few sets of tib raises and had this pain the next day and had it for a few days now. Any ideas?
I am wondering if you know about the McKenzie method. If you do what do you think about how they can help peoples feet?
I have heard of it, but personally I have not enough of it to make a strong recommendation. The concept sounds interesting.
Hey Dr. Biernacki were are you practicing at i called the office they didn't know.

I'm experiencing the TAT pain right now after a long walk. The first time it started it was during a soccer game. It caused me a ganglion cyst just right above the ankle. It become tense and visible when I'm walking. Dr.. Do these kind of ganglion cysts become cancerous after along time? Thanks 🙏
I miscalculated my steps and landed in some rocks in extreme ankle inversion. I apparently partially ruptured my anterior tibialis tendon. Is the rehab protocol similar to tendinitis of that same tendon?
Hello Dr. I really liked this video. Actually I am feeling this pain in my right foot. I had slipped on a hard floor 3-4 months ago and fell on both my knees. I didn't feel anything for2 months but then I am having this severe pain in right foot around my ankle from and back. What would you suggest? Thank you

Hi,
I got mine after the muscles around both my shin bones and both calf muscles atrophied down too far because of a intestinal parasite infection that induced muscle waistng.
Saw a podiatrist two years ago when I first started having these issues. He seemed stumped. Just told me to rest.
Thank you for all the details and great explanation!! Now I understand how this happened and what to do. Wish I lived closer to Michigan

I get this from sitting at my job. We sit for 36 hours per shift.
Hi, I am struggling with tibialis anterior tendinitis. I specifically struggle with top of my ankle stiffness in the morning. I have rested and was wondering, am I able to continue running at a slower pace, or should I stop completely?
good night doctor..i'm from Indonesia...my tibealis interior tendon broke, the doctor..now it's been a month after surgery..i can walk..but my ankle is hard to tiptoe...about...how many months my ankle is can be normal again so I can work again..thank you..

sensational info - thanks so much. Shame my issue is now chronic after seeing osteo, physio and doctors for 4 years. Finally insisted on scans and I have severe arthritis in the mid foot and other foot joints. Swimming and walking made the pain worse... I now have orthotics and need to do these exercises to reduce pain.

Agh… don;t do stupid things people, just because you want to be ahead of the game,…

Irish dance overuse. In Irish dance it’s a lot of pointing and flexing the feet (mainly ankle movement) along with landing incorrectly, not doing enough rehab exercises after my sprain, and not sufficiently warming up.
It’s a common injury in my sport but it still sucks
The shoe info suggestions are totally backwards.
In what way?
Please consider updating your video to include the newer recommendations concerning ice and rest. Even the RICE guy, Gabe Mirkin, changed his recommendation.
In some of my newer videos I go over this a lot including tbe new studies. Rice is not meant to heal rapidly, it's meant to stop night time or throbbing pain in injuries. Early mobilization definitely great, but icing will not hurt or damage anything 😊🙏❤️
But you are 100% correct this video is definitely due for a new update , I will start working on it soon!
Thank you! As an acupuncturist, I see a lot of people using cold exclusively, or cold / heat alternating. If they are told cold, or alternating, that's what they remember.@@DrTomBiernacki
@@marzipanbb2179so do ice and heat or don’t? Stretching, shoes….
@@allysonhomayounkhah2432 ice is indicated for the first 36 hours and thereafter use heat. Ice reduces pain, and heat helps to heal.
