How does the alpaca crew hold up with washing? I love the way it looks, but wool always ends up looking super piled even after hand washing per instructions.
I think Everlane's designs and materials are classics and good quality. I have purchased a few items including jeans, t-shirts, denim shorts, other shorts, denim skirt, leather shoes, sweaters etc. I even remember asking you about sizing on the day shoe :) I don't have wide feet so they ended up being half a size to big for me but not a deal breaker. Since I have purchase from Mexico the downside is the guess work it took from chart sizes and paying extra for shipping and customs. I want to visit a physical store one day.
I love the alpaca crew as well. I tend to wear it on repeat during the winter at home, because it feels like a soft, cozy hug. It's funny how you can have quite an extensive knit wear collection but keep gravitating towards certain pieces over and over again. I think it's because of how lovely it feels on. Also LOVE the new curved way high jean - a barrel like take on the way high. It's up there in my top 3 pairs of denim ever!
I agree! It's also just such an easy piece to wear, don't you think? A classic that feels a little more unique because of the sleeves, the texture etc. OOOH! Those are on my wishlist! I can't figure out whether to go cropped or full length, though x
Great video, Jamie! I have two pairs of the way high pants and wear them all the time. I also took one size down from normal (US 4 instead of 6). I also have and love the tencel blazer in off white and would consider getting one in black. For me their jeans are just ok, I prefer Levi’s. And I’ve give up on ordering tees from them because I have a long torso and don’t like a cropped look.
The entire way high line is just fantastic! Really good for gals like us with longer torsos :) Levi's jeans are fab - definitely what you're looking for. Quite a few of my styling clients find them uncomfortable (I'd say as there's not really any give) so I feel like the Everlane way high jean is a really good alternative. I swap between the two styles a lot week to week. Hope you're having the best weekend! x
Tip: 90% isopropyl alcohol wet into leather, where it hurts, will break down the leather to mold to your foot. Wet area w cotton pad, then wear shoe. Breaks in swiftly, within a few days.
Thanks for the tip JD - I'm not clued up on all the ways you can stretch leather beyond taking them to the cobbler, which from experience have learned that in of itself isn't always a magic salve (though I think wet newspaper is another trick) - but I'm a little weary of using any kind of alcohol as I believe this can damage the leather? That said, I'd rather just buy shoes that are comfortable from the get go. Life's too short for uncomfortable shoes! Thankfully (for my feet) it looks like they've put a pause on using that leather for their shoes for the moment :D
Fellow Everlane devotee here! Agree with most of your top 10, I'd add the dream pant to that list and their utility barrel pant! I also think their linen is really good, high quality and thick while still being soft. Only issue is the pricing which I think is a bit high (but they do good sales and often have storewide discount of 20% so worth waiting) and the loooong shipping times to Aus and the $30 return fee, which makes me reluctant to try items that I'm not 100% sure will flatter me. Just wish they'd bring in more warm-toned colours as a warm-toned human.
I really love their barrel pants too! Ones I've recommended in the past. Just a fabulous cut. Is it just me, or have they popped their prices up considerably in the past couple of years? Maybe it's just a weaker AU dollar, but I remember being struck by how expensive things seemed. Like you, I tend to take advantage of their sales. Often you'll find great items almost in all sizes at 60% off or more.
They've increased prices CONSIDERABLY. I think the sales are very odd, because they used to discount to maybe 30% if you were lucky (remember 'choose what to pay'?) and now it seems like they do site-wide discounts all the time, plus heavily discount sale items up to 70% which is insane. Makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes and whether these regular, deep discounts are part of the new business model or just... bad planning from a supply/demand/price/quality standpoint. Time will tell.
I had an Everlane moment a few years ago. The over-size blazer and silk shirt are going strong not so sure about the cashmere sweaters they are too lady-like for me these days. Once again Jamie - thanks for your great eye for fashion and wearability.
I feel like this would be a common sentiment! Ah - the classic crew style that they do? A good basic but I can appreciate the desire to have something that feels like it has a bit more personality to it in terms of the silhouette/shape :) Thanks so much for watching - hope you're having the best start to your week! x
Could not agree more! I bought a couple of tops which have both turned out to be winners. I was surprised to see so much of their knitwear on sale too!

this was very helpful, thank you :)
big fan of the boxy oxford - have it in a couple of colours and it's a great shirt/great staple!
Ooh yes good call! I have a friend who has a couple of these and they look fab on her x

Love everything! Would love a review of the sezane pumps. They look great.
Thank you! And noted - I am planning a Sezane video very soon :D

Thanks for the recommendations! Just brought the alpaca crew 😬
You're welcome! I hope you love it - I'm wearing mine right now x
Hi Jaime. Thanks for the video. Quick question - do you actually dryclean the alpaca sweater or can it be hand washed?
I put mine in the washing machine on the wool setting x
@@mademoisellejaime thanks so much!
Jamie, what size do you wear for the cropped, apricot, recycle cashmere, boxy sweater?
Hi! I’m wearing size S
