Omg I am totally that person that buys the same thing but different colors and fonts so I need to stop my closet is exploding and I only wear 25% of it! 🤦♀️
I don't dismiss impulse shopping because I have found pieces that I love and rewear constantly. The last one is a long black pleated skirt in a synthetic fabric (but nice!) I wear it in every season, mix it with pieces from different styles, I take it on my trips as it is wrinkle free!!! I got it in a thrift store for peanuts! I have other items like that (but I must confess I made some mistakes as well)....
I have to say the BF and pushy sales season do quite the opposite to me: they completely turn me off. Went to a TKMaxx today to sense check how I feel. I never felt as uninspired in my life. I think we've exceeded the saturation point of fashion and I LOVE everything in my wardrobe so much more than anything I see in the shops these days.
Excellent video! I can’t tell you how many times I have not bought a clothing item after I place my thumb over the models face. It ever looks as good without the beautiful face in the photo. Great advice!
I love your content Adeline, it really resonates with me. As always really thoughtful and intelligent. I only buy things I love, otherwise I walk away.
Love your posts and your brown leather jacket because it hints at burgundy. For me that's enough of a nod to the current trend. I find if I buy trends I hold them a year or too before wearing them.. personally not a fan of wearing what others are at any given time. I feel it strips me of my uniqueness.
So agree with everything you say, I'm trying to buy less but better, have managed to stop buying from the likes of h&m, peacocks, newlook, primark, this is the first year i haven't brought from these stores at all.
my mom always said if a certain cut and style of blouse works on you get it in different colors, i've never encountered the "different fonts" as mentioned in the video
My Mum always said never buy something if the only reason you're buying it is because it's on sale. "It's not a good deal if you won't wear it." I've heard that ringing in my ears the past few weeks with all this Black Friday hoopla. I've actually been deleting a lot of the sale emails without reading them to stick to my guns and not add anything that I don't need and that isn't a total Wow piece.
I can see you wearing the In and Out t-shirt in the summer with white jeans, belted or with a front tuck. I usually take scissors and remove the banded collar from the neck, and cut a small slit in the center of the neck/chest area (Flashdance style.) This was an excellent video, I got so much out of it. You make so many excellent points about my wardrobe that I needed to hear.
I’ve bought a few vintage pieces that I shouldn’t have purchased. It’s absolutely not a good deal if you never put it on. Graphic t shirts are a good example. Love to buy -don’t ever reach for them!
Thank you for this video! How interesting you found an In-n-Out shirt in Tokyo. This is a fresh fast food company originally from the Los Angeles, California area and it has not expanded to all the states in the US. Thank you again for the tips on this video!
WOW great video! Hit really close to home, buying without NEED - and I agree I NEVER do duplicates, as soon as I do that, I don’t like the original item- so strange. - Georgia in BC😊
Nothing earth shattering. Basic common sense. I'm now starting to apply the same no buy rules to you tube videos by creating a list of only things I want to learn/know.
I am so 💯 agree with you, if the item is not “Heck Yes!!!”then it’s a no! Don’t spend money on it, you will regret the purchase

I think we all do it 🤣

Sometimes our impulses can be right! And I love it when they are 🤭🤭

Love your honesty . In my experience, my worst mistakes came from online buying. And why? Because I hate to waste the time in shops. Mistake.

Love your tip about cutting the head off - never heard that before but will do this from now on. Hitting subscribe now 👍
"Cutting off the head" 😂 Great tip!
Love your posts and your brown leather jacket because it hints at burgundy. For me that's enough of a nod to the current trend. I find if I buy trends I hold them a year or too before wearing them.. personally not a fan of wearing what others are at any given time. I feel it strips me of my uniqueness.
I would love you yo post a vídeo about how to Make a good wish list!
Loved this video. Yes! Please show me how to make a wish list 🙂
Such an excellent, helpful video. Thank you!
Such good reminders. I’m guilty of the last one-for sure. Remain strong against marketing.

Congratulations :) It's not easy to break out of shopping habits. Less but better is such a good approach ☺

You're welcome and thank you for watching ☺
