    I really like Televes. I tried hard to get the DATBOSS LR Mix to work in the attic. Gave up on it eventually. It was just too big. I am using their pre-amp however, and it has that same power unit. I have one output going to the TV and the other going to the Air TV. I basically get signal to all the TVs in the house from the one line coming in. Good stuff.

    weather dose not affect this antenna

    verry impressed my antenna sits in my room on my floor

    The Low VHF element look exactly like my FM dipole antenna, mounted vertically it will have excellent reception on FM band plus the TV channels on VHF High and UHF. Televes just like AMIKO and Dipole (Poland) make the best antennas and ideal for locations with medium to low signal. This model is for reception in locations with medium signal, for locations with medium to low signal there are other Televes models.

    Thank you for doing a review on this televes low/high vhf and uhf combination antenna. I love the thought it has passive mode because I use to hate when the power would go out as my battery tv even with an adapter was useless because it was like having no antenna at all with no power when I had mine to a preamp. Excuse me if you did cover this, but how wide are the low vhf elements? Is that antenna pretty light weight? How far (miles or kilometers) is your low vhf stations? Sorry for all the questions and I love your videos. Your videos are the most to the point and educational ones on over the air broadcasts. I love too that you cover both antennas and FTA. Your videos are amazing and well done. I am a fan. PS. Thumbs up as always!

      Thanks for watching and for the kind comments. The Low-VHF elements are 72 inches long (mentioned it early on). This antenna is not what I’d call heavy, but has some weight to it. The bypass feature is definitely good- ensures the antenna will work even in the event of a power supply failure.👍

    Super Video - do you compare it with a other antenna in case of fringe signal at the digital receiving? How much Watt this power supply consume? The 3x outs 75ohm on the end is very good! Due the integrated amplifier in the antenna it is not necessary to have one extra installed this is really a new good thing. You see in your test that the high Frequency have a higher signal strength then the lower band. Thank you for watching! weakbit Thumbs UP No.27

    I would like to know where you are located Sir ??? The VHF signals are not that prevalent around America. Most are UHF. Nice video with very good information and down to earth numbers given. Job well done fella. One more thing, how does this compare to the super long DAT Boss antenna where the mast is attached to the three directors ??? Thanks

      @@NorthcoasterHobby I am in eastern Pennsylvania near Philadelphia. One of the few places where VHF low high is still used a lot.
      What I want to tell you from what I have found out is this, there are many variations of the DAT BOSS out there. The super fringe has the mast attached to the three directors and attachment bars on top of the antena, for five square tubing. Then there are ones that are attached behind the 45 degree reflector. I was told there is a third type forget the uniqueness of that type. The model numbers are the same too. That adds to confusion when ordering which type one will get when he or she orders the antenna.
      Look forward to see your video on the DAT. Nice videos also fella

      This antenna, as many Televes models do, has a built-in preamplifier that automatically regulates the signal gain on VHF and UHF separately.

  • @bjs2022
    @bjs2022 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You failed to explain that there is an LR (long range) version, too.
    If you only have VHF stations you would be better off with a VHF-only antenna because separate band antennas almost always outperform combination ones. The problem is there are no longer any broadband VHF-only antennas available so the Televes combination models are probably a better choice than the combination ones with broadband VHF from Channel Master, Extreme Signal, and Winegard, and not only because of Televes’ unique built-in preamp.

    • @NorthcoasterHobby
      @NorthcoasterHobby  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wasn’t testing the LR version. I’ll talk about that when and if I test it. Should I mention every other antenna they make too?
      I’ve tested several VHF-only antennas. You failed to watch all my other videos.

      @bjs2022 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NorthcoasterHobby No, I saw your test of at least one VHF antenna but it was high band only. I think I remember that since you are in a strong signal area it was able to work sufficiently for a low band station.

    I've been looking at this for months now. Not sure if I wanna drop that much cash on this. Like how much better can it be than the RCA yagi or ge pro?

    • @NorthcoasterHobby
      @NorthcoasterHobby  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is pricey, but a good quality antenna. It all depends on your location, signal strength, a GE or RCA yagi might work fine in your location. I've tested the RCA yagi and it did very well in my location.

      Price finally dropped. I just may pull the plug. I just want laff tv in Ocala Florida. I pick up the other stations right by it, not sure why I can't get any others. I get 19 which is more than most neighbors. I'm not doing anything special. In fact it's in the closet in a certain spot and I grab 60 to 80 signal and low 50s on my pbs which ain't bad but I have that drop out crap happening and it's making me mad, like real mad, to the point, I'll pay whatever jus to have good tv. I was using a really good IPTV service but I don't have good Internet at my new place. I'm about to just buy that visible phone and use it just for hotspot

    • @NorthcoasterHobby
      @NorthcoasterHobby  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Generally, the higher the gain, the more directional an antenna is. With this Televes, though, once the signal is locked, it’s locked.

      @@NorthcoasterHobby True, it's just this particular antenna doesn't pick up the closest market as well on the backside when you're between markets. Kind of wish I didn't buy the one with the preamp built-in and bought two without the amp and used two of them with a single amp combined.
