Thats what I was thinking. My brother got a normal 2017 Malibu and it has everything exactly the same except for the red accents and wireless phone charger/teen driver options. Still has the turbo and same power and everything else so as cool as it looks, doesn't sound like its worth it. I love the chrome accents on my 2018 Impala Premier, though I'm wondering if i can get a turbo put in it/how much that would cost 😂 Sounds like it would complement its 3.6L V6 quite nicely
I traded in my 2014 Impala ltz for a 2017 Malibu premier with the 2.0 turbo an 9 speed automatic transmission and yes this Malibu is faster then the 3.6 305 horsepower Impala. The Impala with the 3.6 can do 0 to 60 in 5.9 and the quarter mile comes in at 14.9 . The Malibu premier 0 to 60 can hit 0 to 60 at 5.7 and do the quarter mile at 14.3. This all has to do with weight and the 9 speed transmission. Believe me I wouldn't buy this car if it was slow. By the way, top speed is drag limited at 153mph.
Tom McBriarty the Honda Accord 1.5 turbo makes 184 hp and does not melt or crack pistons. GM should ditch the 1.5 turbo in favor of a 2.5 naturally aspirated 4 cylinder with around 200 hp.
They already have the 250+ hp 2.0. And I'm still surprised that the OP didn't bother or still doesn't see the shitty spelling pointed out a long time ago.
Not a fan of the Hyundai Elantra, dislike the skinny front end. The Elantra has more of a teenage sporty look. The malibu has more of an executive look. Plus I can't get past the inside of the elantra how that gauge panel raises up so high.
Doesn't GM realize all they have to do is go the retro route with their sedans like they did with the camaro and they would make a killing? Something reminiscent to the '64 impala or even the 95' impala ss or 69 malibu
Jordan Hagan for interior quality there’s a degree of subjectivity/opinion but it’s in line with most mainstream reviews. For resale value and power, are you not connected to the internet? Check KBB and Edmunds, among others. Check any spec sheet for midsized sedans.
@@mfmf100 ahhhhhh just as I thought, you just like to make assumptions and talk out your ass. Lol yes I know how to find information, I'm just asking you to for the obvious reason that you cant cite your sources. Maybe the first step you should try is learning that sticker price isn't what the car sells for XD. Good job embarrassing yourself. You can leave now.
It needs a 335 hp 3.6 V6 engine.
Love my Chevy Malibu 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
So they slapped some small red accents on it called it red line and charged 30k?
Yep it looks just like the 2016 😂😂😂

I think it looks better than the impala
I disagree
I think so too but the impala is faster and has more power
The Impala is no more. So RIP impala.
Plus, I don’t believe they have a redline impala. I could be mistaken tho

The white redline edition looks much nicer
The american automobile
nowadays become more
stylish than ever before
i really like it alot so far.xx
Needs more power!
I own one and I have a Ford focus st and its way quicker than the redline I agree!!
Ls swap it
@@harmcityflash1463 a1
Get the 2.0t then
I think Redline Reviews needs tos see this car!
I have a 2018 Malibu lt I loved it at first but I realize now, it’s not meant for speed, it just gets up slow 🙄 but no problems other than that
Why make a sporty car if it don't go fast?
Show me how to change the headlights on this car. If they made it easier, than, and only than, will I be impressed.
I know this was years ago but are those fog lights or DRLs ??
Too bad this one comes with the tiny 1.5L engine. All bark no bite.
If they could just put at least a V6 in it, that Redline Malibu would be awesome.
Wish Monte Carlo was in 2018
They need to bring Pontiac back..
Is this one still available? I’m in the Houston area
Should I get black or white?
Don’t know if I should get this or a 14 camaro
Camaro
Does the 2017 model have remote key start? I’m buying a one tomorrow and this is exactly how I wanna black mines out 👍🏿🔥
yes
30,000 for a 1.5 turbo that’s a joke
Especially one that only makes 160hp.
Tom McBriarty the Honda Accord 1.5 turbo makes 184 hp and does not melt or crack pistons. GM should ditch the 1.5 turbo in favor of a 2.5 naturally aspirated 4 cylinder with around 200 hp.

Good thing it isn't 30k lol
Nice looking but at 30k no value, near or at bottom of class.
I wonder if it still has the( shift to park ) message problem which bothers me a lot
Yes mine does that sometimes
This car hasn't left the lot and it already looks old
Can u get the redline edition in the V6?
Only available engine are 1.5L & 2.0L
P&M Productions that's too bad. The 3.6L V6 would be killer in this car.
They haven’t had a V6 since 2012
I see gm is still using recycled 20 oz pop bottles to make their interiors. Not surprised.
One amazing car right here
Awesome review..keep it up 👍

What's a Tubro? Is that the new spelling of turbo?
All looks and Not enough power. Hyundai Elantra Sport offers 201 HP with a 1.6.Turbo
Good for Hyundai!
And you can get the 2.0t with 250hp in this. Chevy offers options.
Not a fan of the Hyundai Elantra, dislike the skinny front end. The Elantra has more of a teenage sporty look. The malibu has more of an executive look. Plus I can't get past the inside of the elantra how that gauge panel raises up so high.
EGGINFOOLS 250?! You mean 275?
Tom McBriarty caddy version is higher. Malibu is lower rating. Caddy is 272. Malibu 250.
Anyone know the top speed just curious
I've gotten mine to 130 and it was still climbing
Can’t wait
What's a "tubro?"
it means that the engine employs a device called a turbocharger. Aturbocharger is an add-on part that uses recycled exhaust gases to increase power.
I know what a turbocharger is. I was asking what a "tubro" is.
He's a break dancer back in the days in 80's
P&M Productions So the poster still hasn't seen it?
Wow, you repeatedly spelled "turbo" wrong in multiple vids.
The rim and badge design would look good on my Chevy SS sedan
Sylvester Harris That Chevy SS is one beautiful car, it deserved more attention then it got.
I LOVE that car. You're lucky to own one.
I thought I was the only SS owner looking at this video 😂😂
For my first car I’m gonna be driving a Chevy Malibu 2015, it’s a great car.
4:40. Some people never learn left from right...smh
🤭 you got him
GM says', "a styleish low emission rear engine, left hand drive...its just wild-rational, and cleaner' Omg-!
Nice my husband is buying me this car soon🙂
Look better then the 2016 Version tho
Good video
It's a nice car mine just as nice tho and it's a 2017 Lt, dont see any place to add a pic or I would
Doesn't GM realize all they have to do is go the retro route with their sedans like they did with the camaro and they would make a killing? Something reminiscent to the '64 impala or even the 95' impala ss or 69 malibu
1.5L redline?
I want my wheels like that
I'll trade in my 1.5 yaris for it
HOLY @^#%!!! IT's a 2017 Chrysler 200s !!!!!!!
All ya wonder if I will be in the shop more then you drive like my 2011?????????? No more for me!
No V6, not interested.
Yeah bro it's tubro
2013-2015 was a better style but the best is 2008-2012 models in my opinion
Syrup•Pancakes•Waffles•EggMcMuffin I agree 100%, I have a 12 with very last available V6 in it best car I have ever owned.
I love the 3.6 HF V6 engine in the LTZ.
Explain why if u don’t mind
Có về Việt Nam ko a
My malibu looks better than my neighbors daytona charger
Demostraciones es español.
What happened to SS cars , how about a 2.0 turbo with 300 horsies ! No wonder young people are going to Dodge !
Malibu 2015 v6 best than 2018
3moory gh970 Malibu didn't come with a V6 in 2015, 2012 was the last year for the Malibu V6.
👍👍Goooood
im trying to purchase one...who think this is a good car...need advice
THANGS BATTON absolutely amazing car

What ticking noise? Where’s the time stamp
Went cheap Af on tail lights smh
160 hp 🤦♂️ cmon chevy where is the ss model
good
Nice looking but at 30k no value, near or at bottom of class.
"Nice looking" but it's also "No value" and "Bottom of class" XD
Jordan Hagan right. Competitors at the price have more power, better interiors and will hold their value better.
Can you please cite your sources on that? Or is that an uneducated blanket statement?
Jordan Hagan for interior quality there’s a degree of subjectivity/opinion but it’s in line with most mainstream reviews. For resale value and power, are you not connected to the internet? Check KBB and Edmunds, among others. Check any spec sheet for midsized sedans.

That’s fucked up you can’t even see the pipes. That’s bullshit I have a 2009 Chevy Malibu lt with the 3.6
This car would look better if it was silver.
