  • Despite ingenious evolutionary adaptations, Dinosaurs face an futile battle against the nature of Earth itself. Meanwhile plants, flowers, insects and birds are thriving in the warm moist climate of the late cretaceous period. Subscribe to BBC Earth: bit.ly/ydxvrP
Broadcast in 1999, Walking with Dinosaurs set out to create the most accurate portrayal of prehistoric animals ever seen on the screen. Combining fact and informed speculation with cutting-edge computer graphics and animatronics effects, the series took two years to make.

Sebiroth Gaming BBC make very similar, HD documentary about dinosaurs called "Planet Dinosaur" in 2011 and spin-off in 2012. This isn't as good as "Walking with Dinosaurs", but still fantastic. Also, if you don't have any sentiment for old "Walking with..." series, you probably like it better. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_Dinosaur

How weird it might sound, this scene saved my life and the life of one of my friends. One time my friend was laying on a bad (I was standing) and he weirdly passed out. Since he was laying on a bed he was closer to the ground than I was. I remembered that CO2 was heavier than air due to this scene. So, I dragged him out, just to be sure (since C02 does not have a color or smell) and heared afterwards that the room we were in was filling up with C02 due to a leakage in the heating.

Among the few subtle nuances they got wrong, BBC did mostly everything right - one thing I love especially is how realistic the species-environment relationships are. Most dinosaur documentaries portray tyrannosaurus in a lush jungle setting, hunting stegosaurus as if it’s the middle of the jurassic era... like seriously? Lol this is much more accurate, nearing the end of the creatious period when the planet was essentially falling apart
