- Lolo Claro’s is a town favorite in Cavite and they between 300-400 chickens a day using a recipe that is so simple, you wouldn’t believe how good it tastes! Bernie Ilagan is the proud owner of the small fried chicken joint that honors his late grandfather, Lolo Claro. He has a story that is worth telling and we are here for it!

The way Mr. Bernie Ilagan narrates gives a good movie vibe. This is more a story of family than chicken.

I think this has to be said but this is not like a Colonel Sanders story. Lolo claro didn't invent the recipe it's from Max's. The owners just tribute lolo claro (as stated from the video). But dang hell their chicken is delicious.

Parang alam ko ung name nung date nyng pinagtrabahuhan na chicken house. Hehehe itsura palang nung manok alam mona kung saan nakopya. Sana ganyana lahat yung mga binebentang deep fried manok saten mas masarap yan kaysa dun sa mga breaded chicken para sakin. More power!
Pre-pandemic, we used to eat in their Trece Martires branch for lunch with my officemates, sadly they closed it down when the pandemic hit. Fortunately, they opened a branch in Amadeo, that's also near our office. Had good memories with my officemates here. We still dine-in once in a while, when we are reporting on site :)
the owner of lolo claro's we met in 2002 on our way to Pico de Loro it was just a really small eatery way back then Pastor Bernie is the husband of my office mate's sister. so happy to know how it grew it was really huge. now it is a household name in the whole province of Cavite sabi nga nila mas masarap pa sa Max. Kudos

Once a year, we go back to the Philippines and we always make sure to dine here at Lolo Claro’s. The taste hasn’t change since early 2000s til today. It’s comforting and nostalgic.🍗 best fried chicken ever!

Definitely a fave. Sayang nung nakabakasyon ako nagsara na pala yung branch nila sa Trece. Nakailang dayo tuloy sa Maragondon OG Branch haha but well worth it para sa chicken, lumpiang ubod and the leche flan!!!

You could attract a wider world wide base if you could put subtitles/translations in your videos. You actually have very interesting topics which the multitudes need very little motivation to get reeled in.
Have been eating here since I was a kid whenver my parents would take my siblings and I to Caylabne. So when I got sick, my parents took me on a beachtrip and we had their chicken and lumpiang ubod. It was just the type of healing I needed.

Like Max's restaurant crunchy chicken..yum ! I wanna visit someday...cavite place is nice too .my doctor sister works in private hospital there and do rotation job there teaching .you ll never get hungry in cavite plenty of canteens and resto. very accessible to anyone.silang cavite by the way is cold weather already. 15 minutes drive from my retired lawyer brother house at tagaytay .. I love cavite ❤
