  • The Gurdon Light is a mystery light located near railroad tracks in a wooded area of Gurdon, Arkansas. It is the subject of longstanding local folklore. The tracks are no longer in use, and the rails are at least partially removed/covered, but it remains one of the most popular Halloween attractions in the area. Enjoy!

As an Arkansan, this is one of our biggest folklore within out state. I've personally attempted to go and see the light year's ago with friends but we didn't see it. Some people say that weather conditions have to be just right and some say it's only seen on the anniversary of the murder. Im not sure which is the case but we had fun nevertheless. Thanks for sharing this! - Jason

I live in the city right next to Gurdon. We used to search for the light all the time as kids. You almost had the name right! It's pronounced Gur-dun

Wow I just heard about this legend on another TH-cam channel and they wasn't sure of the validity of the of the the legend . But when I hear about a town I've been to I'm always fascinated to hear a legend about it.
