Nice little knives. I'm a custom maker myself but I specialize in historical weapons (swords, short swords & daggers) but I do utility bi knives that slot into the scabbards occasionally. Especially on the German Messers & the Slavic Kindjals.

Very cool! When I was in Turkey they had souvenir kukris that had 1 or 2 small knives that fit into the scabbard. I probably should have bought one, they were cheap but they were cheap! I did like their use of water buffalo horn though. Thanks!

A boning knife is not a work knife (well, it's used for work, if you're a chef, but...) ...and a kiridashi isn't just a marking knife. It's used a lot for carving. It used to also be used to sharpen pencils, as well as to do anything box cutters are used for. (though less commonly now, due to pencil sharpeners and box cutters) Also: Why is there no mention of the nata?

Thanks for the lesson, everyday is a school day! These videos are not all encompassing for the region. I will revisit many places in the future. Just yesterday I completed a higinokami style knife that will be in a future episode. Thanks for watching!
