The problem is that if you are baptized on Pentecostal Church, and then God lead you to a Baptist Church or vice versa, The other church will sometimes require you to be Baptized again. I think the entire evangelical churches needs to resolves that issue.
He's straight up biblically wrong when he says that you shouldn't just find the nearest pool of water and be baptized. That's exactly what Philip did to the Ethiopian. That wasn't a public declaration, there was no audience
He says we can only get baptized once yet the Bible in Acts 19 1-5 talks about how when Paul went to Ephesus, he ran into some disciples and they were baptized a second time.
1:42 he dwells on baptism as a PUBLIC demonstration. In Acts 8, NO ONE was there but Phillip and the unnamed Ethiopian. The only condition was believing with his whole heart - NOT witnesses other than, I suppose, Phillip. This is what drives me crazy about preachers who have an agenda which is clearly NOT teaching the scriptures.
I believe if you did not know much about the true meaning and nature of baptism or if you did it as a small young child or baby. Then you should get re baptized. JESUS lead an perfect example do it at an older age that you fully understand what you are doing. Its doesn't save you nor condemn you if you do or don't its a pact you make with God. Remember the thief that was next to the cross with Jesus he said " Remember me when you get to Heaven" Luke 23 :43 And Jesus said to him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."
I mean you can but why would you do it again? You already did it, it meant something regardless of how you think n felt because eventually you got to the right place. There's always repentance.

It’s a relationship - it’s like recommitting your marriage vows - your still married but you want to celebrate - or re baptising after decades your wanting to celebrate a new move of the Lord in your life to a greater depth - can you get baptised again? Can you recommit your marriage vows again?

I love the work David does. But what scripture refrences being baptized inside of a church building? Unless I'm missing something, it appears as if he contradicted himself by saying, "In Acts they were baptized that very hour", then later saying, "Wait till you get to a church building." I'm not trying to be argumentative, I just want to make sure I'm doing the Biblical thing.
The baptism is a sacrament. In other words it is an act of God, not an act of you. If you wish to demonstate your faith among others, then the easter mass is the place. The congregation defy the deavil aloud, we say YES to the creed, aloud. And to stay on the right path, we repeat this confession every easter.

Baptism is the sign and seal that you belong to God. He baptized you out of his mercy, grace, and love for you. You can’t do anything to save yourself or make yourself belong to God. Instead he chose you and sealed you with his sign and seal. Since he has claimed you as his, you have a duty to learn about and improve your Christian walk while thanking God by remembering that he chose you when he baptized you. So show your duty to God by learning about him and serving him in love. Praise God for mercy and loving kindness towards you! He chose you and showed you mercy!
hello may i ask. what if when you baptist before but your not doing the right thing or good things you do bad things and bad decisions? is it okay to re baptist ?
Baptism is about God’s promise to wash and regenerate you. God baptizes you and promises to wash you clean. You don’t need to do another baptism because God’s promise is still the same. Baptism is a sign and a seal of his promise to make you his. Because you sinned after baptism doesn’t mean God’s promises are invalid. He still washes you upon your repentance - a second baptism says that God can’t keep his promises if you sin really badly. It says he can’t forgive you and so you need to be washed again and we know that is not the case. A second baptism is an affront to the power and grace of God.
If you get baptised as a child and didn't give you're consent then growing up all you're life not believing in God. One day god leads you to him. Then you live by the word of god like Jesus Christ the best possible then I don't see what's wrong g with getting re baptised.
I got rebaptised after I committed adultery and fornicating. (I did that as repentance rededicating my life to Christ) I'm working on renewing my mind. Having trouble waking up earlier or when I read my Bible I get tired or can't concentrate as much but most times I can but sometimes. Consistency is key ik
That is the wrong thing to do, you can not bribe God with baptism or other good deeds, nor can you punish yourself for repentance. We have a direct line to the Father, through Jesus Christ who shed His blood for our sin. When you sin, go to Him for repentance, humble yourself and if you genuinely mean it, God will forgive you. Baptism is a holy institution and I believe it is offensive to the Lord to do it twice; was the first not enough? I hope you find this helpful, God bless you.
@SteliosMusic So everyone (between the crucifixion and reformation) went to hell because they were practicing the "wrong" way? Why do Protestants always talk trash on Catholicism but Catholics never talk trash on Protestantism? I realize humility is hard but at least try.
