Is Re-Baptism Biblical? When Should Someone Be Re-Baptized?

- In this video we will learn about when baptism is not biblical and when someone should be re-baptized today. We can't let the opinions and ideas of man make the decision for us. We must obey the gospel the apostles preached as written in the Word of God and make sure we don't overlook the details.
This was helpful. I was voluntarily baptised in high school but didn't understand the Gospel until my late 20s. I want to be baptised again because I understand the Gospel of Jesus now and understand the meaning of baptism - when I didn't before.
That’s awesome and praise the Lord! Find someone who will baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38 KJVS
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
God bless you as you walk in obedience to the gospel!
I was baptized about 3 times one when I was an infant and the others when I was about 10-11 I was only doing it cause I loved the water. I look back at it and am ashamed and I never really gave my life to God and now that I’m much older i matured in faith and through Christ. This video helped! I’m getting re baptized soon and I’m publicly declaring I’ve repented from my sins and I now live for God and only him!
I'm so glad this video has helped you to see the importance of getting baptized after having personal faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and all that He did for you through His death, burial, and resurrection and that one must first repent and turn from their sins before getting baptized in order for baptism to be biblical. I must also stress how important it is to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (not just in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) because the name of Jesus is the only name by which we are saved and all through the book of Acts the apostles commanded people to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (the actual singular name of the One True God who manifests Himself to us as Father, Son, and Spirit). I've done an entire video series on this subject and why it's so important to get baptized by calling upon the name of Jesus instead of going off of traditions of men that stem from Catholicism. Acts 2:38 states very clearly that baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is for the remission of sins. Acts 8:12-17; Acts 10:48; Acts 19:1-7; Acts 22:16 all show that the apostles commanded baptism to be done in the name of the Lord (Jesus Christ). My gospel series and a series focused entirely on water baptism can be seen at the following links and should be watched in order:

@@ShatteringFalseFoundations I was baptized as a catholic when I was 10 but I am only a Christian now. I was not fully immersed in water baptism. I am now totally following Jesus and repent daily compared to the Luke warm Christian I was before.
@@truthmatters758 Sorry, but part of your comment is missing. Were you asking a question?
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations thanks for reply my question was if I should get baptized again since I’m not catholic anymore just Christian and was not fully immersed
@@truthmatters758 Yes you should get baptized again by full immersion and you should find someone who will baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ and not in the titles Father, Son, and Spirit. One needs to truly repent before getting baptized and the name of Jesus must be called upon. But don't just rush off and get baptized before you understand more of what God's Word says regarding water baptism. I have done an entire video series on a full understanding of the gospel and how one obeys the gospel in order to be born again that can be seen at this link:

I was baptized as a baby and I back slided should I get baptized again
@@sancheznancy4897 Yes, you should get rebaptized because infant baptism is not biblical and doesn't accomplish anything. A baby can't have faith and has nothing to repent of, nor can it repent even if it did. Both faith in Jesus Christ and repentance are a requirement before water baptism. Water baptism should only be done after someone truly repents and turns from their sins and has faith in Jesus Christ and what He did through His death, burial, and resurrection for our salvation. Water baptism should be done by full immersion in water and it should be done in the name of Jesus Christ (calling upon the name of the Lord) like the apostles did in the book of Acts (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:48; Acts 19:5; Acts 22:16). Water baptism is for the remission of sins only after someone truly has faith in Jesus Christ and understands who He is (God manifest in the flesh) and repents (turns from their sins and turns towards Jesus). Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions. God bless you as you seek the truth.
Thank you for the insight I was baptized when I was a kid probably 7-8 I asked God into my heart but after many years I've been struggling so much with sin and felt like my relationship with God had gone down I pray here and there
Now and have been on the fence about if I should or not
We need to be born again like the Bible says in order to truly be freed from bondage to sin and have power over sin. The “sinners prayer” gospel and asking God into your heart is not found in Scripture. What we do find in Scripture is our need to repent, get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:37-38 KJVS
[37] Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? [38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
This is how one is truly born again of the water and the Spirit as we read about in John 3:3-5. You need to find someone who has been born again to baptize you. Most churches baptize in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. They don’t understand that Jesus is the singular name we are commanded to be baptized in because they don’t look to Jesus as their Father but instead see Jesus as one of three persons that make up God. That is Catholic doctrine. Jesus is the singular Person of God incarnate. The name Jesus means Yahweh is our salvation. So it’s just not a matter of going and getting baptized again, it’s important that you do it in faith after understanding who Jesus Christ truly is and after truly repenting of your sins. You are then promised to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit through which you will have power over sin. I’ve done a gospel series that may be of help and also I’ve started a video series all about understanding who Jesus is.

This guy is on it he's exactly right Acts 18:24 Acts 19:2 should I be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Acts 2:38 says be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ both are biblical and both are the right way to do it I was baptized in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit when I was eight or nine years old. I understood what was being said I understood what I was doing no one made me go... I went on my own but, I want to be re-baptized the right way...in the name Jesus Christ or the Lord Jesus. It's the NAME the NAME is what's important not just the titles. Good lesson
Amen and praise the Lord! Thanks for commenting. I'm so glad to hear God has revealed to you the importance of getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. These videos may help clear up some misunderstandings about the gospel and help you to renew your mind with God's Word so that the spirit of condemnation is no longer upon your life and you can walk in the full freedom that is available in Jesus Christ.
There is nothing wrong with being rebaptized again in the name of Jesus Christ if you didn't truly repent before being baptized the first time. Repentance must come before water baptism in the name of Jesus. Even if you got baptized a second time in the name of Jesus and you had truly repented the first time, it doesn't mean you are lost or on your way to hell. God looks at the heart. So if you truly repented and have been baptized in the name of Jesus, then all you need to do is renew your mind with the Word of God and have God speak to you through His Word regarding your sins having been washed away when you were baptized and how you are a new creation in Christ Jesus.
Have you been filled with the Holy Ghost and received the sign that you have been filled by speaking in other tongues? If you haven't, you need to seek to be filled with the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost needs to fill you because this is how one is able to live a victorious life above sin. I am connected with true born again believers all over the world that I may be able to connect you with if you desire who can pray with you about receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Whereabouts in Africa do you live?
Study Romans Chapter 6 and read it until God reveals to you that if you repented of your sins and were then baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, that your sins have been washed away. You may remember your past, but God has chosen to forget your past. All God sees with regards to your past is the blood of Jesus. But you must not live a life of continuing in sin, you need to live a repentant life and a life that is Spirit led where every day you are growing in the Spirit and not giving into fleshly temptations. Know that I am here for you to talk more about this. Let me know if you have more detailed questions and where your understanding may be lacking and I will try to be of some help through using God's Word. I'm lifting you up in prayer right now and pray God brings you peace and confirms in your heart all He desires for you to know and understand. God bless you as you continue to seek God and His will for your life.
I was baptized when I was like 9 I didnt really understand back then but now I understand should I be rebaptized
Yes you should be rebaptized but you should first learn more about why you should be and understand more regarding the gospel and the name of Jesus Christ in baptism. Most churches baptize in the titles Father, Son, and Spirit and so they just repeat the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19 instead of actually obeying the command and baptizing in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
If I told you to go tell your neighbour what your name is and you knock on your neighbours door and say “what your name is.” Then you wouldn’t be obeying my command. In order for you to obey my command you would have to actually tell them your real name, and not just repeat what I told you to do. Does that make sense that is why we see all throughout the book of acts that the apostles commanded baptism in the name of Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:38 KJVS
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
I encourage you to learn more about the gospel as taught by the apostles and then respond in faith to what God is speaking to you from his Word. Here are two video series that will help in your studies.

@@ShatteringFalseFoundations yes it was an apostolic church and I was baptized in the name of Jesus cuz I said yes when the pastor asked me if I accept Jesus as my lord and saviour. Do I still need to be baptized? Or should I just repent cuz I did a lot of wrong like judging people. I did not know it was wrong until I started reading the bible
@@CameronCook-g2v I’m glad to hear it was an apostolic church and it was in the name of Jesus. As long as you truly repented before getting baptized in the name of Jesus and you acknowledged Jesus as Lord and Saviour and the name of Jesus was invoked in baptism then it was a valid baptism at nine years old. Any sins that are committed after baptism should be repented of. We only need to get baptized once as long as it was a biblical baptism to begin with. Sins committed after baptism should be repented of and the blood of Jesus covers us.
1 John 2:1 KJVS
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
Have you been filled with the Holy Spirit and spoken in other tongues?
Hey.
I have been a Christian all my life.
I was baptized after going on a missions trip when I was 19.
I'm now 47 and completely committed to Christ.
I spent my twenties and early thirties living a life of complete disobedience.
I read my Bible and listened to praise and worship music. I always prayed and loved Christ during those sinful years.
Unfortunately I had no self control.
My life has been completely transformed by Christ.
I feel all those years of willfully sinning, my baptism really doesn't mean anything to God.
How can it? I lived in so much sin for so long.
God knows my heart, but I have felt for the past 10 years or so, that I should retake that step of baptism.
I don't know......anyone??
Thank you.
Hey Gary, I'm so glad to hear about you committing your life to Jesus Christ. He's such a wonderful Lord and Saviour! Judging from your experience of sinful living after your baptism at 19, I can pretty much conclude that you didn't truly repent before getting baptized or you were baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost and not in the name of Jesus Christ as we read in Acts 2:38. The name of Jesus is the name above all names and the only name by which we are saved. The name that manifests Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus. We must call upon the name of the Lord in water baptism as we read in Acts 22:16. This is how we call upon the name of the Lord in order to be saved. Water baptism is more than an outward sign of an inward work as many church denominations teach today. There are a lot of false gospels floating around in the churches today. We must make sure we believe on Jesus through the word of the gospel that the apostles preached (John 17:20, Acts 2:38). Water baptism is where we see our old man crucified and buried with Jesus Christ and where we see our sins washed away and where we resurrect to a new life in Jesus Christ (Romans 6, Colossians 2:9-15, 1 Peter 3:20-21, Galatians 3:27). It's not the water that cleans our bodies, rather it's what God does that saves us when we are washed from our sins in the blood of Jesus (Revelation 1:5). The blood of Jesus is applied to our lives in water baptism.
You also may never have received the Holy Ghost since you believed (Acts 19:1-6). We must be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to live a life of victory above sin and be able to walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh.
We must be born again of the water and the Spirit which is water baptism and Spirit baptism in order to enter the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is a life of victory in Jesus Christ. My advice for you is to get rebaptized, but first you need to understand more deeply what God's Word reveals to us about water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ under the New Covenant. Water baptism saves us by the resurrection of Jesus Christ according to the apostle Paul and Peter. If you feel God speaking to you through what I've said, then I encourage you to watch my gospel series and the series I've done on water baptism. After watching them, if you feel God has spoken to you through His Word and you want to get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, I know brothers in the Lord all across the world that may live near you who can baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ and pray with you to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. I pray God speaks to you and gives you clarity of what you should do. God bless you in your studies!

Matthew 17:20-21 New King James Version (NKJV)
20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your [a]unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 [b]However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
If you need help I can give you pointers, I was released from my bonds of some wicked things (lust and stuff) through prayer and fasting. Praise our Lord Jesus Christ and thank you Shattering False Foundation’s for your video.
The Jews who had just crucified Jesus and who were baptised for remission of sins by John the Baptist Mark 1 :4-5 asked Peter what they should do after killing Jesus. He told them to repent and be re-baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and they would receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38. Maybe you should follow their example but you should now truly repent and stop sinning. Please note that the Samaritans did not receive the Holy Ghost by repenting and baptism in Jesus's name only. Acts 8:14-18 This happened when Peter and John lay their hands on them. Similarly the Ephesians did not receive the Holy Ghost after baptism in Jesus's name, this happened after Paul lay his hands on them. Acts 19:1-7.
I love this, and I thank God for leading me to your video, just in the right time, my question is answered....

@@ShatteringFalseFoundations I was actually baptized 2017, but as time went by my conscience has been not so pure concerning the baptism I had because I deeply had a sense of getting re baptized whereby I prayed concerning it from time to time and the most questionable thing to me was that the name of Jesus Christ was not proclaimed in it and that why the people baptizing others loved to sin and never willing to yield to the holiness of God and only after 3 years when I escaped from there by the help of God that there were so much corruption and false doctrines founded upon the congregation. I surrendered my soul for the Lord’s sake by late 2014 and joined that congregation because I didn't know which church to go to, but I remember one very day I sat during the service in that congregation while l starred ahead at the pulpit at the signs and wonders that they were doing I desired to join the leadership but clearly I heard The Lord speaking"Do not join those people" but I reasoned in my heart saying "but why shouldn't I join them if they are pastors perhaps they will teach me the Bible since I'm new and immature" SINCE THAT DAY DUE TO UNBELIEF AND IMMATURITY FEW WEEKS LATER THEY DESIRED ME TO JOIN LEADERSHIP BUT DEEP DOWN I REFUSED, THUS IGNORED, AGAIN THEY DESIRED ME, I STARTED GETTING SPIRITUAL ATTACKS AND SO ON..... I was tried to the point that I forgot the word of God "do not join those people" and I joined..... That was the beginning of spiritual torments, but God kept revealing to me who were they time to time in dreams but I never believed because it was just too hard to believe. 2017 by end I grew very weary and went into a long fastings and prayers, on the 7th day a lot was exposed to my knowledge and understanding concerning the congregation foundation and the rulling powers there and the Lord inspired me to depart soonest, and through prayers I got convicted and remembered that I actually disobeyed Him from at first, when He warned me of that group but by His mercies came through. So I left and since the whole last year(2018) from the time of 2017 Nov after fasting and prayer, I came to realize that I was lost and fallen into divers kinds of doctrines and I felt like starting over, so the Lord inspired me to be still and know Him, and for this long period until today I grew a strong burden to preach the gospel everywhere I shall go, so since I left it, it has been like denouncing false doctrines and being taught the truth, I walked with Him as if in the wilderness yet with Him and without a church congregation to go to, He has allowed me to fellowship with other saints in small homecell gatherings and it really helped me this far, the Lord’s hand came through I met someone whom I have known and have seen His presence in him, and tomorrow I'm going to get baptized.... My story is a bit long but I tried to brief it,and i thank God for you and other saints in the body of Christ praying for us even now... Amen. May the will of God be done and not ours.

Thanks Chip! Yeah I really think you will be amazed at how much is contained in God's Word regarding baptism being in the singular name of Jesus which is the name above all names and the only name by which we are saved. The name of Jesus (Jehovah our Salvation) reveals God as our Saviour and helps us to see the true identity of Jesus Christ as God manifest in the flesh. The apostles understood Jesus' words in Matthew 28:19 and actually obeyed Jesus' command by telling everyone that they needed to get baptized in the singular name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). i have been thinking about getting re babtised, i honestly feel like i didn’t trully know why it was so important, i read the bible passage about the man who didn’t know his sole would be called in the middle of the night & honestly i didn’t want that to happen to me without at least doing the one thing god asked for. i was more scared of not telling god that i wanted to live his life & not mine, & that i understand that only through baptism though Jesus could i ever be saved
Many people are becoming aware of what the Scriptures say outside of the "traditions of men" and are seeing how important it is to obey the gospel in faith like we read in Acts 2:38. Fatih in the gospel requires action but it's not an action we do to earn our salvation. Jesus did everything to earn salvation for us, but we must receive it in faith. Getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ is an act of faith and when we do it in faith after truly repenting of our sins, God is the one who saves us and washes away our sins. We must also be filled with the Holy Spirit. The truth does indeed set us free! God bless you in your walk and seeking of the truth with regards to getting re baptized.

I was sprinkled and in life someone cared enough to explain what the wolves had mislead me. I went back and was baptised under the water, the first didn't work anyway, it was false hopes of salvation. Romans 6 5 tells us if we are baptised in the likeness of His death we will also rise.i am a baptised under the water Christian. 6 t then sounds like a promise to me. Do this and this will be a good ending in life. I'm 68 and don't wee well. Hope u can read this.
I'm glad to hear you were baptized by full immersion into Jesus Christ's death, rising a new creation in Him. We who have obeyed Acts 2:38 are promised to be resurrected unto eternal life on the last day. Sadly, many people who claim to believe in Jesus don't actually believe that water baptism is part of the gospel. They believe it is an outward sign of an inward work, but Romans 6 says otherwise. Thanks for commenting.
I was baptized at age 12, and I have never had a constant or steady faith, including years of living in immorality, apathy, and honestly I don’t remember why I took steps to get baptized, I know I felt a love of Jesus and a desire to align myself with my chriStian family. Now I’m 37 and just now have realized what it means to build my life on and around Jesus, abide in him and make him my dwelling place. So should I re baptize?
Greetings Marie! Yes, I believe you need to get baptized again. Don't rush into getting baptized again until you learn more about the gospel. There is a lot of confusion in the world today regarding salvation. Man made religious institutions are false and many so-called "Christian" churches don't even preach the full New Covenant gospel that the apostles preached. We must have faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour (understanding that He is God manifest in the flesh) and all that He did for us through His death, burial, and resurrection. We then must repent (turn from our sins and look to Jesus alone for freedom from sin and death), we then must get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins where our sins are washed away and forgotten by God and we are made a new creation in Jesus Christ (don't get baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost-this is a repetitious tradition of men that is not how we actually obey the command of Jesus), and then we are promised to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost when God's Spirit comes and dwells in our spirit. We will receive a sign that we have been filled with His Spirit when we begin speaking in another language we have never learned. This is the gospel that we must obey in order to be saved. I highly recommend watching the following video series of mine on this subject, as it will take you through the Word of God so God can speak to you through His Word on these things. It may help clear up some confusion that you may have on baptism. They should be watched in order as each video builds upon one another.

God bless you as you study God's Word on these things and walk in obedience to His command to repent, get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Please let me know if there's anything you have questions about as you study. May God's perfect will be accomplished in your life so that you can experience His blessed peace, freedom, joy, and victorious power over sin.
Thankyou for this x
Hope it was helpful.
True/Real repentance brings one to change. Not to continue doing the same wrongs.
Amen! Without repentance we will perish as Jesus stated through the gospel accounts. And yes, repentance is a turning from our sins which means not continuing to live a life in bondage to sin. This is why Jesus Christ came and paid the price for our sins. After we repent and turn from our sins, we must turn towards Jesus and be baptized into his death (putting on Christ as the apostle Paul states in Galatians 3:27, having our sins washed away, made a new creation in Christ Jesus and walking in the power of His Holy Spirit that fills us.
Amen! Great comments
So I wanted to ask something that adds to what you said at 4:40 about being baptized due to someone else.
I decided to reaffirm my childhood baptism in March 2023. However, I did so while hoping to impress a friend I made at church. I even asked him to be baptized with me, but he declined. We are no longer friends, and I have questioned separate of that if my reaffirmation was truly authentic and if I should redo my baptism reaffirmation.
I also want to note that this reaffirmation was done with pouring water over my head instead of full immersion.
Thanks for the feedback in advance. God Bless.
If we stick to Scripture alone regarding New Covenant baptism, we don't see the need for "reaffirmation." Either you were truly baptized correctly to begin with or you weren't. How old were you when you got baptized as a child? In order for baptism to be biblical, it should occur at an age when a child can acknowledge that they are a sinner and can understand the gospel, after true repentance and acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and it should be done in the name of Jesus Christ by actually invoking and calling upon the name of the Lord, and it should be by full immersion. If these details didn't occur when you were baptized then you should be baptized the correct way. The re-baptism if done according to Scripture would be the one and only baptism you would need. It's important to understand the full gospel and how one is born again according to Scripture before rushing off and getting baptized. If your church baptizes in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost without saying "in the name of Jesus Christ" then I would seek out a new church that believes according to Scripture. Be sure to watch my gospel series to understand more on this important subject:

Hi I got baptized at 11 years old, twice. First time was in a pentecostal church and the baptism was done in the name of Jesus, however the pastor, due to the fact that he knew that my dad was a minister, he didn't give me the opportunity to confess my personal faith in God and state whether or not i believed Jesus is God etc , as seen with Phillip and the Eunuch, because he said "he's sure my dad went through all of that with me already", so he just baptized me. Also the pastor stayed out of the water and I alone went down into the pool. My dad was not comfortable with this process because in the bible it stated that both the man of God and the individual who was getting baptized both went down into the water.
The 2nd time i was baptized was a few days after the first, where my dad and another minister went through the process, by allowing me to state whether I believe in the necessary things and due to my confession he then baptized me in the name of Jesus Christ.
My concern is, after 10 years I still have not received the gift of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongue (Acts 2:38). I backslid when i was attending high school for about 2 years and I rededicated my life to God at around 18 years old. I am 21 years now and I am pretty concerned because not only have I not yet spoken in tongues, but I honestly feel like I am at a spiritual standstill. At the moment, I do not have a home church, because we're looking for a church in Trinidad that has a solid belief in the right salvation process, but its difficult to find, because alot of church on the island push sinner prayer salvation, and also baptism in the titles, Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
I was wondering, however, if I should re-baptize again, because I do not understand what is happening :(. Its stressful not knowing where you stand spiritually. I can honestly attest that I am staying faithful to Christ, but its feels like something major is missing.
BTW, I was not forced by anyone to give my life to God at 11. It was during family prayer, when we were reading revelations and I read about the eternal torment for sinners etc. that I I became very convicted and I decided then and there, I was ready.
Hello Neki, Thanks for sharing your thoughts and concerns. I just want to start off by saying God bless you and I want to encourage you to keep on seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. You're on the right track! Just remember that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a promise to those who have repented of their sins and been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. 10 years is a long time without being filled with the Holy Spirit, but I wouldn't let that discourage you. I could really hear your heart when I was reading your message. God knows your heart and He wants what's best for you. I know how difficult it is to find a church that has a solid foundation. Keep praying and seeking and God will connect you with other members of the Body of Christ in your area. It may take time, but be patient and know that God is with you regardless of whether or not you have a church to attend right now.
By only going off what you wrote in your comment above, I don't see any need for you to get rebaptized. As long as you truly understood that you were a sinner and that your sins had separated you from God and you truly repented of your sins and turned toward Jesus as your God and Savior when you were 11 years old (all this taking place before you were baptized), and you were then baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, then it was a valid baptism and it was for the remission of your sins. It was for the remission of your sins past, present, and future. Is there any reason that you can think of on why your baptism would not have been valid? If not, don't ever let the enemy bring condemnation to you about your past or current situation. Jesus has freed you from the bondage of sin and death and has washed your sins away. He does all this even before we are filled with the Holy Spirit. You need to continually renew your mind with the Word of God about who you are in Christ and what your baptism really accomplished (Galatians 3:27, Romans 6, Colossians 2: 9-14). Believe it! This many times is all some people need to do in order to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
If you backslid or have any sins that haven't been repented of, you would need to sincerely repent and turn to Jesus as your mediator. It sounds like you repented if you rededicated your life to Jesus Christ. As long as you're not purposefully living a life of sin, and seeking after God and His will for your life, then God wants to baptize you with the Holy Spirit. Has another born again believer ever prayed for you by the laying on of hands to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost? This is important and is what we see as commonplace in the book of Acts. My wife and I would love to meet with you and pray with you if we lived closer to Trinidad, but we'll be in prayer that you are able to find someone who can pray you through to the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
One thing I always tell people who haven't spoken in tongues but are seeking to, is to not seek to speak in tongues but seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues will come out of being filled with the Holy Spirit. Pour your heart out to God and worship Him. Think of all He has done for you, making you a new creation in Christ Jesus. Raise your hands, close your eyes, focus on Jesus and let all the cares of the world and distractions around you fade away, and allow God to fill you with His Spirit and through your worship God will meet you. By surrendering your all to Him, tongues will flow. Don't get your mind all focused on tongues, but rather just focus your mind on Jesus in worship and love. It is helpful to have another born again believer pray with you to receive the Holy Ghost. The laying on of hands encourages faith. Have faith that you will be filled, and take every negative thought of the enemy captive.
I will be in prayer for you about your desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit and finding a group of believers that you can assemble together with. Remain faithful to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and everything will work together for good. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is very important and something you should never stop seeking. That's definitely what is lacking in your life. If you hunger and thirst, you will be filled! He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. My mom went most of her life without speaking in tongues and then one day she cried out to God in a very trying time in her life and her cry turned into tongues as she worshiped God. The more you can recognize your dire need for God and the more you hunger for Him and His will for you, the closer you will be to being filled. Never look down upon yourself because you haven't spoken in tongues yet. You have obeyed the gospel and have continued faith in Jesus, just be sure to let God continue to work in your heart and remove things from your life and add things to your life that He wants. Just remember that the Holy Spirit is a promise and a gift.
I hope I have been clear in what I've written and that it's been helpful. Please let me know if something is unclear and if you have any more questions as I would love to offer any help I can. Keep on walking by faith. Peace and love in Christ!
Beyond thankful for your feedback. I understand and I am very encouraged by it. And yes, my dad has prayed for me to receive the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands a couple of times, but I was only ever brought to tears, nothing more. Today I will be fasting and praying concerning this matter, praying God leads me to a good church and for me receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank you so much again brother for both your feedback and your prayers. God bless you.
When I was baptised I didn't know the real meaning of baptism and repend.
I only thought that if I take baptism I can go to heaven and and get the power of the holy spirit.
I didn't know the real meaning of baptism and repend.
But now I know the real meaning of baptism and repend.
Should I want to take baptism again?
Greetings! Yes, you should get baptized again because water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is only for the remission of sins to someone who first has true faith in Jesus Christ and all that He did for them through His death, burial, and resurrection and then truly repents and turns from their sin. If repentance doesn't take place before water baptism, then all you did was get wet. Make sure you find someone who believes the gospel the apostles preached (Acts 2:38), who will baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ and not just speak the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. We must call upon the name of Jesus Christ in water baptism like the apostles did through the book of Acts (Acts 2, Acts 8, Acts 10, Acts 19, Acts 22). If you need help finding someone in your area, just let me know and I may be able to connect you with someone who can baptize you and pray with you to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit since I know people all around the world. God bless you as you walk in obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ that the apostles preached. Let me know if you ever have any other questions. I have done an entire video series on the gospel and water baptism if you are interested in hearing more. They can be found at the following links:

Thank you for this true word of God we. Must do everything in the Name of Jesus christ. Giving thanks to God amen
I got baptised today (fully immersed), fully believing and accepting that Christ is my saviour and that He died for me and rose back to life 3 days later. I've been wanting to do it for a while but wasn't allowed because my dad didn't think it was the right time and doesn't think the church we go to is the right one for us. I did it at a camp so he wasn't there to see it because I just did it cos if I told him that I wanted to get baptised, I know he'd not let me and I was ready and didn't want to wait any longer. When he picked me up, I told him I got baptised and I wanted him to celebrate but he got mad. He got mad and I think he wanted to witness it and I wish he did. Now he's calling this baptism 'invalid' because I didn't get his blessing to do so and because he wants me to get baptised at a church he thinks is better. It's making me feel guilty and he wants me to get rebaptised cos he thinks the one I did today wasn't a valid one. I fully accepted Christ a while ago and the baptism was done properly (full immersion by a pastor, accepting Christ as saviour and believing his resurrection) so I shouldn't get baptised again even if my dad wants me to because he thinks it wasn't valid and it was with a church he personally didn't like/agree with their doctrines, and cos he didn't get to witness me do it right?
I'm sorry to hear about all that has transpired since you got rebaptized. Baptism should be an exciting time that we can celebrate together with our loved ones who also believe, so it must have been difficult for your dad not to share in the excitement with you. But don't let that put a damper on what actually happened that day.
If you truly repented of your sins before you got baptized and when you got baptized you were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (the name of Jesus actually being spoken by the person baptizing you) by full immersion, then you were baptized correctly and you don't need your dad's blessing for baptism to be valid. Baptism is a personal choice and it must be upon the confession of your own personal faith in Jesus Christ. I can understand that your dad would have wanted to witness it because it is an awesome thing to witness, but this is not a valid reason to get rebaptized. I would express to your dad your heart and let him know your true feelings on everything and why you did what you did. Pray that God will help him to understand why you did what you did.
The most important thing is that you understand that water baptism is more than an outward sign of an inward work. Water baptism needs to be done by calling upon the name of Jesus Christ because water baptism is where our sins are washed away and our old man is crucified and buried and where we put on the new man, Jesus Christ, resurrecting to a new life in Christ (Romans 6). In Christ Jesus we are a new creation and we no longer are in bondage to sin. We can live a life of victory above sin through the power of the Holy Spirit. Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? May I ask you what church this camp you attended is a part of? I just want to make sure you were baptized the correct way according to how the apostles obeyed the commands of Jesus to baptize in the name of Jesus Christ like we read about in Acts 2:38. The name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus! We obey Matthew 28:19 by baptizing in the name of Jesus Christ. I pray God gives you peace through all of this and just be comforted in knowing that all things work together for good to them who love God and are the called according to His purpose.
I was baptized in a church that was out of order (had a woman pastor) two years ago, but I genuinely was hungry for the Lord’s Word and have been growing more spiritually mature.
I’ve prayed about it because God is of order but I don’t feel like I need to be but my family keeps pressuring me to be re baptized. What is your thoughts?
I would study the Word of God more regarding the gospel and how we obey it in faith and then do what you feel God calling you to do. I have done a gospel series that can be watched here:
th-cam.com/play/PLo_7oh9llbNZAqbRChaNccCdByN3i_E-e.html
I’ve also done a series focusing on water baptism that can be watched here:

One needs to know who Jesus is and truly repent before getting baptized. Baptism should also be done in the name of Jesus Christ and not in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the name of the One True God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Don’t just get baptized because your family is pressuring you. You must get baptized according to your own faith and understanding before God. I encourage you to learn more about baptism before getting rebaptized. Let me know if you have any questions if you decide to watch the videos in the series above. God bless you in your studies and on walking in obedience to how the Lord leads you through His Word.
Thank you for posting this content.
Thanks a lot, it was very useful. I'm starting the Bible study and there is a lot to learn.
Thks again from Brazil
Awesome, glad to hear! God bless you in your studies. There are endless things we can learn from the Word of God. Let me know if you ever have any questions or comments and I would love to discuss the Word of God with you. Peace and love...
Can you help me find someone in the Minneapolis, MN area that will baptize in the name of Jesus and help me receive the Holy Spirit? I was baptized as a teen, following my parent's "religion" and had no conviction of sin whatsoever (and my life showed it). I am very much feeling a sense of urgency about this. Thank you.
Hey Cindy, I'm so glad to hear about your desire to walk in obedience to the commands of Jesus and the apostles. Your sense of urgency is a good thing, but just be comforted and know that God knows your heart and sees your desire to walk in obedience and that He is with you every step of the way until you are baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Are you by chance willing to make a drive to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin? It's about a 4 and a half hour drive from Minneapolis. I know of a true body of believers/ministry there that will baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and pray with you to receive the Holy Spirit. If you are not able to drive to them, I can ask them if they can drive to you or if they know of anyone in the Minneapolis area that is closer to you that can meet up with you. They know a lot of other believers in that area. I actually grew up in Minnesota and North Dakota in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Let me know what would be the best for you and then I can connect with them and they can then connect with you. I'll be keeping you in prayer and trust that everything will come together. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with or if you have any questions. God bless you and keep you!
Hi, thank you so much for getting back to me. Yes I would be willing to drive over to Wisconsin for sure but we are also currently seeking a church home here in the Twin Cities as well. I would love to know the folks in Wisconsin but if they would have any connections here closer to home for our church family that would be much appreciated too. I moved back to my native Minnesota about 10 years ago from the East Coast and was seeking a solid Bible teaching church at that time. We ended up at a Lutheran Church that taught Jesus and the Bible. That was my priority at the time, given the environment of lukewarm churches around. My daughter was to start the confirmation class there this fall but for various reasons I did not feel comfortable having her do that so we have been looking for another church family since September. I would love to connect with you to see if you can help us in this matter. Thank you so much! I don't know if I should post my email address here but perhaps that might be a way that we could connect in a private forum. Let me know. Thank you again!
@@beckcy1 I live in Burnsville Minnesota, I can rebaptize you in Jesus name for the remission of sins, in my pool this weekend. Please contact me (612) 239-4029, or you can email me joelgerber2620@gmail.com
She’s already been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. I think it’s been two years ago now. I connected her with someone in Wisconsin. Anyway, thanks for reaching out.
Yes, thank you both so much. I was baptized on March 9th, 2019. I am so grateful. Thank you.
Brother my name is Rohan Peter. I'm from Kerala. I have a very big absent mindedness. Sometimes i feel very zoned out. I was saved 2 years ago in 2022 and accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and saviour. I had depression, fear and memory related issues. I repented off my sins and renounce every curses upon me passed on from my mom's side (which she too suffered) today I got baptized but the absent mindedness still remains. Sometimes i feel like my baptism is not valid because i have not requested my baptism to my pastor these days yet I have longed and prayed for it many times to God about it and said to my pastor that I will get baptized very soon many months before. I had the Joy of getting baptized. The spirit inside me was joyful before getting baptized. And added to that it took me three times to get immersed fully in the water. Is my baptism is still valid?
That is good and important that you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Saviour. We must believe that Jesus Christ is the one singular God incarnate as our Saviour. It is also good and important that you were baptized by full immersion in water.
Some questions for you:
Did you truly repent of your sins before getting baptized?
Were you baptized in the name of Jesus Christ or were you baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost?
How we are baptized is really important. We must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. The name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus Christ! That's how we actually obey the command of Matthew 28:19 as we read all throughout he book of Acts when the apostles baptized.
Acts 2:38 KJVS
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
There is a lot of deception in the religious world today regarding baptism. What is popular and commonly taught is not necessarily true. I have done an entire video series on the gospel and on water baptism in case you are interested in studying these things more from the Word of God. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

@@ShatteringFalseFoundations yes i truly repented off my sins, but i still believe there's a still a curse inside me passed down from my birth. I'm seeking a pastor for deliverance soon.
How were you baptized? Did you call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in water baptism? Was it a denominational church pastor that baptized you?
If you were baptized in the titles as we read in Matthew 28:19 and never actually called upon and invoked the name of Jesus, then you haven't been baptized correctly. There is power in the name of Jesus to cast out devils and we should be baptized in the name of Jesus because that's where the power is for remission of sins.
Matthew 28:19 KJVS
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
This is why the apostles obeyed this command by actually baptizing in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:38 KJVS
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 22:16 KJVS
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Mark 16:15-16 KJVS
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Acts 8:15-17 KJVS
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: [16] (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) [17] Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
Acts 10:47-48 KJVS
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? [48] And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
Acts 19:1-6 KJVS
And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, [2] He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. [3] And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. [4] Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. [5] When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. [6] And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Find a pastor who understands the gospel as we read in Acts 2:38 who will baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ and be able to pray for you for deliverance and to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Hello I got baptized at 21 and after that I still continued to lived a very sinful life. I am now 25 ready to dedicate my life to God. Should I get baptized again???
Were you baptized in the name of Jesus Christ or in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? Had you truly repented at age 21 before getting baptized? If you are unsure how you were baptized or you didn't really understand what repentance was, then you should be rebaptized, but you need to understand some things first. Water baptism is an extremely important part of how we obey the gospel and are born again. We should understand what the Word of God says about water baptism before we get baptized because we must get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by faith after we truly repent. If one doesn't get baptized by faith then all you do is get wet. So I encourage you to study the Word of God regarding water baptism and why it's important to get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). I have a gospel series that covers all aspects of the gospel that can be watched at this link here:
th-cam.com/play/PLo_7oh9llbNZAqbRChaNccCdByN3i_E-e.html
I also have a water baptism series that goes into great depth on understanding water baptism under the New Covenant that can be watched here (after understanding the gospel in its entirety):
th-cam.com/play/PLo_7oh9llbNZ2GrHzabwK-uXkKwf64Hgk.html
These two video series will cover most of the questions someone has regarding baptism and how one is truly born again and set free from the bondage of sin. Most people have not ever heard the full gospel and how one is truly born again according to the Word of God. There are a lot of "easy-believism" gospels out there which I myself believed growing up, but I too, found myself still defeated by sin. It wasn't until I recognized that I hadn't obeyed the gospel and how I needed to be born again that I was able to obey it in faith and be set free and receive the Holy Spirit. My personal testimony video is also in the video series. Anyway, I'm sorry if you wanted a simple yes or no answer, but water baptism isn't something we just go and do. We need to understand what God's Word says about it and we need to pay attention to the details of God's Word and make sure we truly repent before getting baptized and that we call upon the name of Jesus when we are baptized. If after learning more from God's Word on these things you want to get baptized correctly in the name of Jesus Christ, you may find it challenging to find someone to do that since most pastors baptize in the titles Father, Son, and Spirit. Please feel free to reach out because I may be able to connect you with other born again believers in your area. God bless you in your continued studies and may God show you what you need to do.
when I was a serious lukewarm ( I didn't believe in God, I was living on the path to death, I would hate to hear people preach, I grew up in the church and would lie and say I knew God but I never did ) I got baptized because I didn't want to seem not Christian, now that I look back and know God I feel so terrible and feel like I really do need to truly be baptized
Amen! Yes, you should be rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins (Acts 2:38). When we get baptized we need to truly believe in Jesus and truly repent before getting baptized in faith, understanding and trusting God for a new life in Jesus Christ. If we don't have faith in Jesus and repent before getting baptized, then all we do is get wet. I encourage you to watch my gospel series so that you can see the Scriptures that speak on this subject and learn why baptism is important and how one is truly born again. Let me know if you have any questions. It's also really important to get baptized invoking the name of Jesus Christ and not the titles Father, Son, and Spirit. There is no power in the titles of God, but there is power in the name of Jesus! This is why we pray in the name of Jesus, cast out devils in the name of Jesus, and see people healed in the name of Jesus. We should get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ if we want to actually obey the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19. God bless you in your studies and may you be obedient to how He is speaking to you. If you don't know any believers in your area who baptize in the name of Jesus, I may be able to connect you with people in your area since I am connected with born again believers all over the world.

Thank you! I went through a few videos and you had the best explanation 🙏🏿
I'm glad it was helpful!
Good Evening! So I have been thinking about getting re baptized. The thing is I was born and raised in church with my father being the pastor and when I was about 11ish I was baptized in Jesus name. My father taught and loved Acts 2:38. I have fallen away for some time and recently been committing myself to turn back. When I try to think of my baptism I'm unsure if I knew what I was doing. I know I should probably pray and fast about this, but I was hoping to get some advice.
Hello Rachel. If you were baptized when you were 11 years old and you weren't really aware of what you were doing (why you were getting baptized) or you never truly repented before getting baptized, then your baptism may not have actually accomplished anything in your life. One must have a personal understanding of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and understand who He is (God the Father manifest in the flesh) and all that He did for them through His death, burial, and resurrection. One must also understand that their own personal sins have separated them from God and they need to repent and turn away from their sins and turn to Jesus Christ to save them from their sins. One needs to get baptized into Jesus Christ by faith. If there is no faith in the one getting baptized, then I'm afraid it is just a religious act. From what little you've shared with me here in this thread, I would be re-baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, after fully understanding the gospel, believing on Jesus, truly repenting before getting baptized, and by faith understand what takes place when you are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins. I encourage you to watch my entire gospel series before getting baptized so that you fully understand what God's Word says about baptism and why it's so important.

Just like you I've been planning to get re-baptized. I was baptized the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, but those are his titles and they never mention the name because it says in the NAME of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost... so Acts 2:38 tells us to be baptized in the NAME of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. I think we should do exactly what the Bible says... no more no less so not just in Jesus name but either in the NAME of the Lord Jesus or in NAME ofJesus Christ I think those titles are important.
So does that mean I need to get rebaptized as I was baptised as an infant in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit even though it was through immersion (under water)? Confused as it does say one baptism.
Yes, if you were baptized as an infant then you need to be rebaptized as an adult who can first have personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and repent before then getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Belief must precede baptism and infants can’t believe or repent. “One baptism” is referring to a biblical baptism. For example, if someone got baptized as a Mormon then they would first need to come to the knowledge of the truth about Jesus and the gospel and then be baptized again the correct way and with the proper understanding in faith. Does that make sense? Were you raised Catholic? Catholics baptize infants whereas most other “Christian” denominations understand that infant baptism isn’t biblical.
Awesome video! Thanks for letting God use you to touch others.
Thanks and God bless!
I don’t know if you’re still replying to comments, but I’ve been in need to get rebaptized. Two years ago when I was baptized, I did not repent. I loved Jesus, but did not repent prior to baptism. I have repented now, but I would like to get baptized again. I don’t want to get baptized by my church as they did not tell me the importance of repentance, they would also probably react funny to me wanting to get baptized again two years later. I live in the Saint Louis area in Missouri and I don’t know if you have any connections to those who would baptize correctly.
Yes, I'm sure I would be able to connect you with other born again believers in your area who understand the gospel and could baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ and pray with you if you haven't already received the Holy Spirit. Let me know if you want me to connect you with other believers in your area and I'll get right to it. I also encourage you to watch my gospel series and my water baptism series so that you can get grounded in what the Word of God says to prepare you for your baptism and a new life in Jesus Christ. In the gospel series, there is a video of my personal testimony of how I was born again in my mid twenties even though I had believed in Jesus my entire life. I lived in bondage to sin even though I believed in Jesus, but wasn't actually set free from sin and filled with the Holy Spirit until I obeyed the gospel by faith.

Were you ever able to find someone in your area who baptizes in the name of Jesus Christ? If not, please let me know and I'll get right on it.
Hi friend interesting topic. As God convicted my heart, I repented for my sins and was baptised in water in 2003. Then I received Holy Spirit baptism also. The people who baptised me they baptised me, in the name of father, son and Holy Spirit. But now I understand that we should baptise people in the name of Jesus only. I do baptise people in Jesus name. My Question is - Do i need to be baptised again in Jesus name?
Hello my friend. I believe it is important to walk in obedience to the commands of Jesus and the apostles that we read in the Word of God without overlooking the details. Once someone comes to a full understanding of who Jesus is (YHWH manifest in the flesh) and how water baptism is for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38) and how the name of Jesus is the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), I believe that one should then follow the convictions they receive after learning from the Word of God how we are to be baptized under the New Covenant by getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (the singular name of the one true God who is Father, Son, and Spirit) as we read through the book of Acts. I don't just recommend someone get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ without first understanding the gospel and the importance of baptism and the name of Jesus Christ as part of the gospel. One must have faith when getting baptized in order for baptism to be for the remission of sins. So you wouldn't want to just get rebaptized for the sake of doing it, but out of faithful obedience to the Word of God.
You need to hear from God through His Word regarding what you should do. If you are desiring to do His will, I know God will speak to you regarding what you need to do. I have done an entire gospel series and one that focuses on water baptism that can be watched if interested that goes into great detail on the subject of water baptism and the importance of being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

When I was young I didn’t understand completely How loving God was and would have spurts where I would feel like I wasn’t seeking Him enough and that I needed to make myself cleaner. I understood the principle of His forgiveness but always felt like I needed to do or confess more before I could be made right with Him and to where He would be pleased with me. Though I had times where I felt close to Him and though I understood His gospel and message of forgiveness, I didn’t truly feel like I was good enough and that I had confessed, dug deep into myself enough, changed enough, or sought Him enough. I eventually decided to get baptized bc I knew Him and His message and felt His love and had been raised knowing He loved me- yet often not really always feeling or believing that this was true.
I felt close to Jesus when I chose to be baptized, but at the time but had some serious misunderstandings about His character. When I was baptized I repented of my sins but felt like that want good enough and that I needed to search deeper to discover deeper sins or fully be made right with God before I could truly be saved. Before I was about to be baptized I remember kind of telling God that I knew I wasn’t good but that I’m sorry of my sins and that I’ll try better to truest seek Him and TrueType be saved. In my head I knew God was love and that if I repented I’d be saved. But I also in my head didn’t understand how free his grace is if we accept it and in my heart I felt unworthy and like I needed to be more and seek His will and forgiveness more before being baptized. I didn’t really think I was 100% saved. I now better understand Him and know How freely His grace is. I understand that baptism is the start of the journey and that you learn more as you keep walking with Christ but I just wanted your opinion on wether rebaptism could be a good thing. I still struggle with feeling unworthy but know it’s just a feeling and that God is with me. The idea of my baptism not really counting though has weighed on me a little recently and want to be open and honest about it with God and either be rebaptized or not. I feel like I told the world I loved Jesus and like I knew and accepted His forgiveness, but also feel like I truest didn’t understand that simply confessing, accepting, claiming, and seeking Him was good enough and that I still needed to really find Him and loose my sins before I can be saved. My doubt tells me that rebaptism could clear things up- but i feel as though I don’t want to and that I already was baptized. I don’t want to be lazy and prideful and not get baptized just bc I don’t have to or bc I don’t feel like it, but also don’t want to be doubtful. I have prayed about it and feel as though God will lead me. I feel as though rebaptism isn’t needed bc though my misunderstandings, I still said and believed in God and His forgiveness and can now praise Him for the joy of full surrender and salvation (knowing that doubt isn’t God wish for us but that we have courage and a sound and joyful mind) I wanted to let it out though and ask your opinion on the matter for me and anyone else who may be struggling with similar issues. Thanks for your help and God bless.
John, thanks for sharing your heart with me on this subject. I wish I could meet with you in person, as there is so much we could talk about and that could be said. If you have the time, please watch the following playlist of videos I did on the full gospel and salvation and let me know how God speaks to you through it.

There is a video of mine called Understanding Salvation by Grace Through Faith that should help you in your understanding of these things. It is really important for you to understand that you can never be good enough for God. This is why Jesus came, because we all have chosen to sin and come short of the glory of God. All our righteousness is filthy in God's sight. We must be born again through obedience to the gospel the way the Bible says, not the way of popular tradition. When we are truly born again, we are given God's righteousness for free with nothing we did to earn it and we are freed from the bondage to sin being made clean in God's eyes and we have power through His Spirit to live a godly life. Please watch my gospel series for an in depth look into this subject.
Water baptism is extremely important according to the Word of God under the New Covenant. Water baptism is for the remission of sins and it is to be done in the name Jesus Christ, not in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost (but in the name of the One true God who possesses those titles). We must call upon the name of Jesus in water baptism since it is the only name by which we are saved. Of course water baptism accomplishes nothing without true repentance and faith in Jesus and all that He did for us. Your heart is right and seeking for truth. I pray these videos speak to you. Please ask questions as you go along and I will try and be of help in any way I can. God bless!
Shattering False Foundations Thanks a ton for answering my questions! I know that grace and salvation is Gods gift to us if we accept it and that we are saved by his blood alone and understand that I’ll never be good enough by myself. I understood this too when I was getting baptized it’s just my head still told me I had to be better before I could be saved. I thank God though that never doubting or that never feeling unworthy isn’t a requirement for salvation! Thanks for your help and I believe that through my doubt, insecurities, and misunderstandings when I was younger I still understood Gods word and principles and repented of my sins- and though I might have still had my doubts and thought that I needed to be dig deeper and confess more sins, I knew God was gunna be there and that He cleanses (even when we still feel unworthy)
Shattering False Foundations What just fuels my doubt though is that when I was baptized I understood and believed salvation through faith alone- yet still felt like I had to confess more to feel worthy of God. I believe however that I still knew God forgave and that through the doubt in my heart that I accepted that. Part of a journey is growing- and that’s what I’ve done since then. God bless and keep fighting the good fight!
@@johnreff602 As long as you repented before you were baptized, had faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, and were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, then your baptism was effective and all you need to do is renew your mind with the Word of God so that the doubt and lies of the enemy that he puts in your mind are taken captive. Take every negative thought captive with the Word of God and know that God sees you as washed and clean and that He has chosen to forget your sins. Even though we may still remember our sins, it's encouraging to know that God has chosen to forget our sins.
Hebrews 8:12
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Hebrews 10:17
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Always remember that we don't make ourselves better before baptism in order to be saved, rather, we repent and turn to Jesus so that He can make us better and give us His righteousness. Keep on walking by faith and study the Word of God so that you can effectively use it as a sword against the enemy and his lies. God bless you as you study and seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

i was thinking all day about whether i should or shouldn’t get baptized again. I was baptized as an infant but i already know that it wasn’t truly valid. So just last month i was baptized again and wanted it to be truly making a declaration of faith in Jesus and obedience to him. but the thing is that i don’t like saying this but i struggle with lust and pornography my flesh loves it and sometimes ill admit i let it get the best of me and give into those temptations only to feel guilt, shame, and regret after. i want the best solution for me. trust me i do not want to keep spiraling in this addictive loophole for the rest of my life and it’s been making me feel like even my “re-baptism” was just as invalid as the one when i was an infant. please tell me what to do please tell me ill do anything i want to obey the lord i want to be his disciple. i want to repent of this sin i want to do what he wants. please see this comment please what should i do.
Hey brother, let’s discuss these things through email. I just emailed you.
I've always been strong in my believe of Jesus, but never lived the full Christian life - a traditional Catholic Christian with a middle east background. I got baptised as a baby, had my holy communion and confirmation around 15. These were all important before I was going to do my holy communion I did get a dream with me walking down the ail towards Jesus. I'm sure i got something out of my holy communion. But now as an adult that wants to live a more Christian life , i started to hear about being born again. And now after reading the book of acts and seeing people do signs and wonders I want more of the Holy Spirit ?? I see people heal the sick etc.. they move differently and they left their old life you know. I see in comments you wrote about repentance.. I dont think I'll ever be perfect but I will try to repent of all my sins.. I want to live the Christian life.
Hey there my friend! Thanks for commenting and for sharing your desire to live a more Christian life. We cannot live a victorious life without Jesus Christ and an understanding of how we are saved by grace through faith. We must have true biblical faith in the gospel in order to be born again (of the water and the Spirit). There are a lot of false gospels being preached today that proclaim one is born again the minute they believe in Jesus and ask Him into their hearts. This gospel is found nowhere in the Word of God. Rather, we see in Acts 2:38 what the gospel is today under the New Covenant that we must obey in faith in order to be saved. We must repent, get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in other tongues. This is how we are born again, when we obey the gospel by faith. You can never be good enough for God on your own, which is why you need to be baptized into Jesus Christ and have your sins washed away. You need the Holy Spirit in order to be able to live a life of victory above sin and to have power in the name of Jesus to heal the sick and cast out devils. We must do what God's Word tells us to do and not go by traditions of men. I grew up believing I was born again because I believed in Jesus and was baptized when I was 5 years old. I knew nothing of the Holy Spirit baptism and speaking in other tongues. It wasn't until the full gospel was revealed to me that I recognized I had never been born again. After obeying the gospel in Acts 2:38 from the heart, my sins were finally dealt with by the blood of Jesus and I was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in a beautiful language I had never learned just like we read about in the book of Acts.
I have done a video series on the details of the gospel, including my personal testimony of how I was set free in Jesus Christ which can be seen here:

I've also done a video series that goes into great depth on understanding water baptism:
th-cam.com/play/PLo_7oh9llbNZ2GrHzabwK-uXkKwf64Hgk.html
I pray you come to a full understanding of how you can live a life of victory in Jesus Christ by walking in obedience to the gospel and how there is power through the Spirit for all born again believers to heal the sick and cast out devils. If I can be of help to you in any way, please feel free to comment and ask questions. God bless you in your continued studies and seeking of the truth. The truth shall indeed set us free!
Hi! Shattering False Foundations. I have a question about this theme, I'm kinda confused, about if can be rebaptized, my church said that we weren't supposed to be baptized twice, or we don't need to be baptized twice. My church says that if you were baptized before and u did not fully repent, that the only thing u need to do is to repent and believe, that u don't need to be baptized again and I also believed them because I saw a bible scripture were it said, " One Lord, One Faith, One baptism" In Ephesians 4:5 so this verse really convinced me that we can only be baptized once, but I also think I interpreted this verse wrongly...
. So I'm actually really convinced about what u said with the bible scriptures too, u made it clear to me that we can baptize twice, but how can I explain to my church that, to be baptized twice isn't wrong? Please answer my question and may God bless u as u do.
Hello, that's a very good question and one that we should take very seriously and look to the Word of God for the answer. We need to realize that Ephesians 4:5 is referring to a biblical baptism under the New Covenant. A biblical baptism is a baptism that follows the commands that were given regarding how we obey the gospel under the New Covenant as found in Acts 2:38. This means that if someone truly believes in Jesus as the great God and Saviour and truly repents before they were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, then there is no need to get rebaptized. That one baptism is for the remission of sins once and for all as long as the person continues to live a life of repentance.
With that being said, we must also understand that many people today are baptized without a true understanding of who Jesus is, which is the case with the Mormon religion who get baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost without ever actually understanding the identity of Jesus as God manifest in the flesh. One must come to a true understanding of who Jesus before getting baptized in order for baptism to be biblical. One must also be baptized by full immersion in order for baptism to be biblical. One must also be baptized by calling upon the name of Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus must be invoked in water baptism in order for baptism to be biblical. The name of Jesus is the name above all names and the only name by which we are saved. The titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not names. The name of the One True God who possesses those titles is Jesus Christ. That is why the apostles actually baptized in the name of Jesus Christ all throughout the book of Acts (Acts 2, Acts 8, Acts 10, Acts 19). They were actually obeying the command of Jesus to baptize in the name (singular) of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost (the name of Jesus). So if someone hasn't been baptized by calling upon the name of Jesus, then their baptism wasn't biblical and they should be rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins (Acts 2:38). Romans 6 opens up a deeper understanding of why we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. It's how we take part in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It's how we receive a new life in Jesus Christ. But one must have personal faith in Jesus Christ and repent before getting baptized. The counsel from people in your church are wrong about those who didn't repent before baptism and how all they would need to do is repent after baptism. That is taught nowhere in Scripture. The opposite is taught!
If someone didn't truly repent before getting baptized, then they need to repent and then be rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ. If someone was baptized as a baby, that baptism was not biblical because one must first believe in order for baptism to be for the remission of sins according to Jesus (Mark 16:16) and a baby isn't able to believe. So you see there are many reasons why a baptism is not valid. In these cases, rebaptism is essential and commanded by God. I'v done an entire series that goes over the details of the gospel and water baptism, going through the Scriptures that reveal how we obey the gospel under the New Covenant and why baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is so important. My personal testimony is included in the series. If interested, the series can be viewed below. The first link is to my series regarding an overview of the gospel the apostles preached under the New Covenant. The second link goes into depth on water baptism and will be a great help for you to get grounded in the Word of God regarding these things so that you can share with your church. I pray God bless you in your studies and in helping the people in your church to see these truths in God's Word. Be sure to watch the series in order, as each video builds upon the next. Let me know if you have any more questions that I can help you with as I'd love to be of help in any way. Peace and love.

@@ShatteringFalseFoundations Thank you so much for answering my question, I now understand the meaning of baptism and I've also understood the difference between being baptized in The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and being baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. Thank you once again for explaining this to me. And may God bless you in Jesus name.

hi there, i was baptized at 9 and went on to live a full prodigal lifestyle so i got rebaptized at the age of 26 with repentance for my old life and to be made new in Christ. i believe that baptism was sufficient because 12 days later the holy spirit fell onto me in fire. but i was still never baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, only Father, Son, & Holy Ghost. it always bothered me that it was not in the name of Jesus. i'm going to a biblical healing retreat & they are doing baptisms in the creek, and are encouraging rebaptism because there is no rule against it and there is power in the waters. And since i never got baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, i think i will. whats your take on that situation?
Thanks for taking the time to comment and ask this important question. I believe God is tugging at your heart to have you obey His Word by getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
I strongly believe that calling up on the name of the Lord Jesus in water baptism is important and is how we actually obey the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19 to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Just speaking those titles or calling upon those titles does not involve the actual name above all names who is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The name of Jesus is the only name by which we are saved according to Scripture. Peter declared the gospel under the New Covenant for the first time in Acts 2:38 and he said to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. That is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. When we get baptized by calling upon the name of Jesus, it is God who does a supernatural work on our heart (circumcision of our heart). He's the one who washes away our sins when we get baptized in faith while looking to Jesus and calling upon His name. There are some who mistakenly think that getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ is leaving out the Father and the Holy Ghost. Believing this way reveals their ignorance regarding who Jesus Christ actually is and shows that they haven't truly come to know who God is. God is not three different Persons. God is one singular Being who is an invisible omnipresent Spirit and that one singular Being of God was manifest in the flesh as a genuine human being in order to atone for the sins of mankind. Jesus is the great God incarnate! This is why we are to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. It shows God that we know who He is and that we are complete in Jesus Christ because of who He is. I've done an entire water baptism series that goes into great depth on this subject just in case you're interested in seeing more in Scripture on this important subject:

That's great to hear that you have been baptized with the Holy Ghost. I assume you know that because you spoke in other tongues as the Spirit gave you utterance? Be sure to let me know if you get baptized again and if you every have any more questions. God bless you in your pursuit of truth and walk of faith!
What is the sign you get when you receive the Holy Spirit
According to the Word of God, the sign that someone has been filled/baptized with the Holy Ghost is that they will begin speaking in other tongues. This is how the apostles knew that the Gentiles had received the Holy Ghost in Acts 10:44-46 and it is still the sign today. I grew up believing that I had received the Holy Spirit the minute I had faith in Jesus Christ. It wasn't until later in my life that I came to understand what God's Word revealed about receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit and actually walked in obedience to the commands of God that I was actually filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues. It was such a beautiful and amazing experience and it is still for today. Here are two links to videos I have done on receiving the Holy Spirit and my personal testimony video. I pray they are a blessing to you.

Thank you for this, I also am considering to be rebaptized, I know I was baptized in Jesus name and it's the correct way but I was about ten or twelve and at the time I really don't remember if I really understood the reason for being baptized but I still want to, out of obedience! At least this time I understand the reason for it, I was raised Pentecostal from birth.
Thanks for sharing! I pray God leads you according to His perfect will regarding whether or not to be re-baptized. When you got baptized, did you have personal faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for you through His death, burial, and resurrection? And did you repent before getting baptized? One doesn't need to fully understand the depths of what water baptism accomplishes in order for it to still be valid and still be for the remission of sins. If you believed in Jesus, repented, and then got baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, then your baptism was valid. You'll have to be the one to determine if you understood repentance and faith in Jesus at age ten or twelve before you got baptized. If you are unsure, then I would pray about it and do what you feel led to do. Hope this helps. God bless you!
I may also add that It is not a sin in your situation to get baptized again in the name of Jesus Christ even if your first baptism was valid. God knows your heart and it may be better to err on the side of caution without any doubt in your mind that you got baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by faith and not with some ritualistic belief.
Hello I have a question of being baptized at a different church I am a seventh day Adventist and now I am studying the Book of Mormon and I like it and I prayed to god to give me a sign if this book is true should I be baptized at this church but then I remember someone from SDA church told me I could be cursed.
I understand the Mormon religion very well. My mom came out of Mormonism into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Mormonism is a religion that adds to the Word of God by holding the book of Mormon equal to the Bible. They deny the deity of Jesus Christ. There are numerous passages in the Bible that contradict what is written in the book of Mormon. Besides all of this, Joseph Smith was a freemason. Fallen angels can appear as angels of light, which is what Joseph Smith saw and believed. The Word of God says that we must not preach any other gospel than what the apostles preached (Galatians 1:8-9). It says that even if an angel from heaven says something different that we are not to believe it. The danger of praying to God to give you a sign if the book of Mormon is true or not is that the Word of God tells you that His Word is all that you need. By praying to God in that way, you are going against His Word, therefore, allowing forces of darkness to be able to deceive you into believing a lie. Trust God at His Word. Study the Word of God regarding how we must be born again through obeying the gospel. Acts 2:38 tells us all what we must do to be saved. We need to repent, get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. When I repented and got baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, i came up out of the water and started worshiping the Lord and I was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in another language that I had never learned. I now have a powerful testimony that lines up with the Word of God as we read about all throughout the book of Acts and the epistles. I have been freed from the bondage to sin. The gospel really is the power of God unto salvation to those who believe and obey it in faith. If you care to hear my testimony you can watch it here:

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. God bless you in your continued studies and seeking of the truth. The truth does indeed set us free! My advice would be to pray to God and ask him to open the eyes of your understanding regarding His Word and what you need to do to be born again as we read about in John 3:3-5. Don't get baptized into a religion. Learn about baptism first and do what God's Word is calling you to do. Trust God at His Word.
God bless brother very clear and informative
This was my reply to this video. I hope you take it well and do some research.
Much of what you said is in the bible but if you do not rightly divide the scriptures (II Tim 2:15) you will take doctrines from God's word that He never intended for us in this dispensation. Example: You use the term born again. This term is for the nation of Israel. Exod 4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: Gentiles were never the firstborn of God. Matter of fact they were aliens and far off. Jesus used the word in the OT under the law to a Jewish leader, not to us believers in Christ's death burial and resurrection - which is the way we are saved. In Jn 3 the gospel of the cross did not even exist, b/c Jesus did not yet die.
Also you think that whenever the word baptism is used it is speaking of water. This is not so. Notice the 3 baptisms mentioned in Matt 3:11 alone. Paul's one baptism mentioned in Ephesians is not by water, but by the Spirit. 1Cor 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. It can't be water because one does not die physically or spiritually when water baptized. Rom 6:3-4 (there's no water in these verses)
If you think our sins are remitted by getting water baptized then what good was the blood shed on the cross by Christ? Sins are only forgiven by believing Christ died on the cross, was buried and rose for our justification. I Cor 15:1-4.

I hope you research what I am telling you. You seem to want to know what the bible really teaches. But your info in this video you received from some teacher of pastor or tradition is not rightly divided. Most of it was not written to you for your doctrine.
This was my response to D&K Grace. He didn't stop long enough to examine where his weaknesses are in his belief. I'm putting a response here for all to see because many people can be deceived by what this person is sharing on here. We must obey the gospel in order to be saved whether we are Jew or Gentile. Anyone who preaches any other gospel than what the apostles preached is preaching a false gospel.
D & K Grace We must obey the gospel the apostles preached. They preached the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and how we obey the good news of what Jesus did by repenting, getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins where we put on Christ and die with Christ, our old man being buried and we rise a new creation in Christ and then receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. You assume to much and make judgments about me without even reasoning together from the Word of God. Every one of your statements I’ve dealt with in my gospel series and water baptism series. I hope you watch them, as I feel you haven’t really studied out this matter. Romans 6 is not referring to Spirit baptism. Colossians 2 is also referring to water baptism where we receive a spiritual circumcision. Tradition of men is what has led people to believe these passages are referring to Spirit baptism. You end up turning water baptism into a meaningless act that people only do to show that they are saved. The Word of God is not on your side regarding this. In the book of Acts the apostle Paul’s sins were washed away when he was baptized, calling upon the name of the Lord. Do you think that is referring to Spirit baptism as well?
My next comment was as follows, D & K Grace I think you need your eyes opened about the errors of dispensationalism. The true Israel of God is both Jew or Gentile in Christ. He has made of both Jew and Gentile one new man, thus making peace. We are not living in a Gentile church age. Grace is and always has been for all men. God is no respecter of persons and salvation is by grace not race. Why do you hold on to the lie of dispensationalism? All need a Saviour and no natural Jew will ever be saved outside of the blood of Jesus through obedience to the gospel message the apostles preached. Everything in the Old Testament pointed to Christ. Not all of God’s people in the Old Testament were natural bloodline Jews. Why do you make it a racial issue? It was always a faith and obedience issue. You make the mistake every dispensationalist makes and assume that the seed of Abraham and the term Israel refers to a particular race of people. Paul makes known to the church in Galatia that the seed that was being referred to in the Old Testament was Christ (not seeds as of many but seed as of one, that of Christ) - Galatians 3:16. Jesus Christ is the seed of Abraham, and if we are baptized into Christ then we are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. It’s not a racial thing. A natural Jew is as much without hope as a Gentile if they don’t have Christ. Ephesians tells us that he has made of twain (Jew and Gentile) one new man (referring to the church - the body of Christ).
I have to strongly disagree with your conclusion regarding the book of Acts not containing the gospel for the Gentiles because it was a transitional book. First off, I agree with you about the Bible not being written to us but for us. I believe this so much so that I actually take Jesus at his words in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 as already having been fulfilled when Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD. The last days being referred to all through the New Testament was the last days of something in the apostles time, not ours. There is no future 7 year tribulation and Revelation is for the most part a fulfilled book. Do you agree?
I must point out that by taking the book of Acts and saying it was a transitional book before the gospel opened up to the Gentiles is actually a false statement. The same gospel that was to be preached to the Jews first was to also be preached to the Gentiles as can be seen in Jesus’ words of the great commission. It was for all nations. It just happened to be preached to the Jew first because it would be the fulfillment of Daniels 70 weeks where Jesus was crucified in the midst of the 70th week and the gospel to the Jews was to be preached for the rest of that week (3.5 years). The gospel then was opened up to the Gentiles in Acts 10 where Gentiles heard the exact same gospel the Jews heard and were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost and began speaking in other tongues. So by saying that the book of Acts was only for the Jews is simply not true. The same gospel the apostles preached is what saves both Jew and Gentile when they obey it. It would help you if you came to a biblical understanding on the true Israel of God because I believe this is where much of your error in how you are dividing the Word on these things stems from. Just as Jesus is the “seed” of Abraham, Jesus is also called Israel in Isaiah 49:3 even though he was also called the servant of God. Hosea 11:1 calls Jesus Israel and when comparing that passage with Matthew 2:14-15 we can see that Hosea was speaking about Jesus Christ as a child. We need spiritual eyes to see these things or we will always read the Word of God and miss these spiritual truths. Our old man must die (whether we be Jew or Gentile) and we must be resurrected with Jesus unto life and filled with the Holy Spirit. This all happens when Jew or Gentile obeys the gospel by faith and that gospel is Repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost.
I am on vacation right now visiting my family and am typing these responses from my cell phone. When I return home to my computer I will respond to all your points using the Word of God. This is important because if the church in Galatia was told not to preach any other gospel than what the apostles preached to them, then we must take the importance of the gospel message the apostles preached to heart (Galatians 1:8-9). Notice it’s not just referring to a gospel of Paul but the gospel of the apostles which was the same for Jew and Gentile. One gospel message under the New Covenant, not two gospels.
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations There are too many issues we do not agree on. I was were you are some what, until I started rightly dividing the word as Jesus told Paul to write in II Tim 2:15. This video may help. Try to listen to it on your way home. Hope your vacation was safe, refreshing and enjoyable. To understand God's word we need to come without bias and presuppositions we get from different people. Peace and grace.
th-cam.com/video/F1Kp_k_C3nE/w-d-xo.html
@@dkgrace6743 Yes, there are way too many issues that we don't agree on, sadly most of which are foundational. The Word of God tells me not to listen to anyone who doesn't abide by the gospel the apostles preached. You are assuming that you are rightly dividing the word and I am not. My entire channel focuses on shattering the conclusions that you have made in other comments regarding the born again experience being only for Jews and the absurd comment that what took place in the book of Acts is not for Gentiles today. I've already pointed out to you that Gentiles obeyed the gospel in the book of Acts in Acts Chapter 10 by being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and getting filled with the Holy Ghost. You then tell me it is only for the Jews back then and that Gentiles today should not be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you probably believe that speaking in tongues has ceased and isn't for today. I came out of that false teaching and I don't have time to hear someone preach a gospel that doesn't line up with the great commission of Jesus and what the apostles actually preached (obeying the command of Jesus). There is only one gospel that will every save anyone (either Jew or Gentile) and it is the New Covenant gospel that the apostle Peter first began to preach on the day of Pentecost and what was opened up to the Gentiles 3.5 years later in Acts Chapter 10, thus fulfilling Daniel's 70th week after Jesus was crucified in the midst of the week.
I agree with you about not coming to the Word of God without bias and presuppositions from different people, but I feel you are doing just that and looking at me in the same light. This gets us nowhere, so we're just going to have to agree to disagree. We are going to be judged by God's Word. I'm ready to stand before God with the understanding of His Word and the gospel that the apostles preached and how I've obeyed it and been set free from the bondage of sin and death, having received the sign of the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the proven power to live a godly life by walking after the Spirit and not after the flesh. I've experienced the power of God just like on the day of Pentecost and no devil in hell can deceive me into thinking it's not for today... too late! The gospel is very clearly laid out in the Word of God, but denominationalism in the world today has corrupted the truth through traditions of men that never truly save anyone. There are many people going to church Sunday after Sunday thinking they are saved, when in reality they are living defeated lives with no power over sin and no victory in their lives. The sinner's prayer unto salvation is not found anywhere in the Bible. The "Romans Road" hyper grace gospel passes right over Romans 6 and leaves water baptism out. John 3:16 is a rebuke to Nicodemus who wasn't receiving the words of Jesus about the necessity of "man" being born again in order to enter the Kingdom of God. We all become dead in our trespasses and sins (both Jew and Gentile) and, therefore, all need to be born again, taking part in the first resurrection (which happens in water baptism according to the apostle Paul and Peter) and be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to receive everlasting life. May God open your eyes to the truth and stop you from continuing to declare to others a false gospel that deceives people into believing they are "saved" when they have not even obeyed the gospel. We must obey the gospel and we need to know what that gospel is if we are going to actually obey it. Obeying the gospel by repenting of our sins, getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost is what we must do in order to be saved from the consequences of our sins. This is how we actually believe on Jesus through the apostles word like Jesus prayed in John 17:20. We believe on Jesus like John 3:16 declares through the apostles word. That word was first preached on the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts and continues to be preached by the people of God today and is setting people free. No other gospel will ever save anyone.
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations You have your apostles confused. The 12 preached the gospel of the kingdom to the Jews. Matt 4:17. Matt 10:7. Paul is the Apostle to the body of Christ. The words are plain. No interpretation needed, just read the words on the page. They continued this till Israel rejected the Spirit of God by stoning Stephen in Act 7. Then Paul was saved by grace not under the kingdom message seeing he was taking part in the stoning of Stephen and thus committed the unforgiving sin of blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. Matt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
You need to rightly divide the word to get the correct meaning of the contexts. Otherwise you are mixing letters not written to you or about you. But still profitable for our learning, but not our doctrine under this age of grace. Unless you built an Ark lately, or sacrificed a lamb, pigeon or bullock?
Start over with just the word of God and you. You will not read these presuppositions you have which you heard from other people who misinterpret the scriptures. Another video to watch and learn how to rightly divide God's word as He intended. th-cam.com/video/f-9jmDbmpJk/w-d-xo.html
Good day brother, i have a question? I've repented two years ago and have been filled with the Holy Spirit. I wanted to be baptized then but missed my opportunity, i didnt understand the importance of baptism then i just thought it was symbolic, but now recently i started doubting my salvation even though i have been on this journey and God has provided me with spiritual gifts i just feel the need to be baptized to do things right by God. The only struggle I'm facing now is that in South Africa and being from Cape Town we have been on lockdown due to covid-19 and now there is no way i can become baptized somwhere with water and also have to social distance. Do you have any advice on how i could be baptized and who can baptize me? I have asked a sister in Christ but the only thing holding us back is lockdown 😥 i was baptized as a child in catholic church but that doesn't count at all.
Greetings Yolin! I am so happy to hear about how God has stirred in you the recognition regarding the importance of water baptism and your need to get baptized. If you haven't already watched my series on the gospel and how we obey the gospel, I encourage you to watch this series if you are able and have time. It will help you to see more clearly what the Word of God teaches regarding repentance and water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (not in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Water baptism is powerful and it is where we take part in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as Romans 6 declares. I lived a life of defeat as a believer until I recognized that I needed to obey the gospel and that water baptism was part of the gospel the apostles preached, even though I was taught otherwise. Be sure to watch these videos in order, but the first few videos are really important to set the foundation of understanding the gospel.

You are in a difficult situation with regards to the desire of getting baptized during this lockdown situation. We see in the book of Acts 16:25-34 that Paul and Silas risked their lives and the lives of the prison guard to go out that night and baptize the prison guard and his household. This is because they understood the importance of water baptism. So I would find someone who understands the gospel as found in Acts 2:38 and who is willing to baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ (I can't emphasize how important it is to invoke the name of Jesus when you are baptized). The name of Jesus is the name above all names and it is the only name by which we are saved. This can take place in a bathtub or any other safe place where you can be baptized fully under water. To abide by the restrictions during this time, the person who baptizes you could wear gloves and a mask, but ultimately our protection is the Lord. If this woman is willing to baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, then be sure to use wisdom and trust the Lord with how you go about doing it. If she is unwilling to baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, then let me know and I may be able to connect you with someone nearby who is willing to baptize you since my wife lived in Cape Town for 3 years and I have been there and we have many friends there who are in the faith. I pray over you right now that God would lead and direct you to be obedient to what He has called you too and that you would be protected from any attack of the enemy and I come against anything that would hinder this baptism from taking place. May faith arise in your heart and may an even deeper understanding of the gospel and water baptism be revealed to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
I highly encourage you to continue to study the Word of God on this subject before your baptism and fill your mind and heart with what the Word of God reveals to us about water baptism and what it accomplishes in our lives. Please feel free to respond to my other videos in the link I shared above as you have any questions as I would love to be of help in any way. God bless you!
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations thank you so much brother. I realise now why i always could never make it to church for my water baptism, ita because satan despises it and kept me from going everytime. Yolin Momberg the hardest hour of the week is the hour before going to church.
Don’t give up, the flesh is deceiving and your spirit will constantly battle your flesh but by fasting and prayer you can edify your spirit and be closer to our Lord. Don’t give up. Don’t give up!
True, the name of the Father, son and Holy Ghost is "Jesus", people are misunderstanding on what Jesus meant when he said this! These are only titles and not "a" name, meaning one name, "Jesus"! Otherwise they'd be baptizing in let's say "three" names, "father, son and Holy Ghost", in which we know aren't actually names at all, so they're still missing the "true" way to baptize!
I was baptized in the name of The FATHER, SON and HOLY GHOST. That's what is Written in Matthew but acts says in Jesus CHRIST. I need more of your view as I look into the issue and pray for direction
Greetings Militant Immanuel! I, too, had been baptized when I was younger in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. It wasn't until I studied out the Scriptures and the Lord revealed the truth of His Word to me about the importance of water baptism and the name of Jesus, that I actually received a revelation about what I needed to do to actually obey the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19. I was then baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and received the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Jesus gave a command to be obeyed in Matthew 28:19 when He commanded to be baptized in the name (singular) of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Jesus didn't want the apostles to repeat those words of His but to actually obey the command that was given to them. When we turn to the Book of Acts we can see the apostles actually obeying the command of Jesus by baptizing in the name of the Lord Jesus (the name - singular - of the One True God who has manifested Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost). No baptism in the Book of Acts is said to have been done in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. However, Jews (Acts 2), the people of Samaria (Acts 8), and Gentiles (Acts 10), were all baptized in the name of the Lord, which is Jesus.
Father is not a name, Son is not a name, and Holy Ghost is not a name. They are all titles of the One True God. The name above all names and the only name by which we are saved is Jesus. This is why we need to be baptized in the name of Jesus, so that we are actually obeying what Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19. We must also allow God's Word to speak to us regarding what takes place when we are baptized in faith. In water baptism, we are baptized into the death of Jesus Christ, burying our old man, coming up out of the water a new creation, having put on the new man, Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-6, Galatians 3:27). I have done an entire series on water baptism if you are interested in studying these things in more depth. It's best to watch the series in order as each video builds upon the next video and will take you through the Word of God regarding the gospel and the importance of water baptism. You can check the series out at the following link:

Somebody must first truly repent (turn from their sins and turn towards Jesus), have personal faith in Jesus Christ and all that He accomplished for them through His death, burial, and resurrection, in order for water baptism to be for the remission of sins. If we have truly repented and been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, then we are complete in Him (Colossians 2:9-10). Much more could be said, but my water baptism series goes into all of this and more and in much more depth. Be sure to check it out.
The Word of God needs to be rightly divided in order to arrive at a true understanding regarding water baptism. This is one reason why there are so many different denominations and various religious organizations claiming to be based around the Word of God. We must look at the entire Word of God in order to properly interpret passages that can be used out of context to prove a certain point. We must study the Word of God to show ourselves approved unto God. God bless you in your studies. Let me know if I can be of help in any way. Peace and love in Christ Jesus.
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations thanks so much dear brother for your response. So it means it needs to be rightly done? I responded to your other comment. Hopefully TH-cam notifies you that I responded as it's been a little glitchy as of late with notifications.
I want to be rebaptized as I was baptized as a baby, and was not fully submerged into the water (if that matters) and I am now repented my sins and have faith in jesus.
Hi Rachel, Thanks for tuning into my channel. I'm glad to hear that you want to be rebaptized. There is power in baptism only if someone first repents and has faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for you through His death, burial, and resurrection. Since you have already repented and confessed faith in Jesus, then I encourage you to get rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins as is taught throughout the book of Acts when the Church first started and what should continue to be declared today. Where are you currently living? I am in Canada which is probably too far from where you live, to have be baptize you. I encourage you to watch the following movie on youtube before you get baptized. It's important to recognize from the Word of God what water baptism by full immersion accomplishes and that it is part of the gospel and that there is power in water baptism.

I have a question i got baptized 8 years ago to be honest i dont even knw if i repented bt i knew i always wanted to give my life to the lord i was baptized biblically in the right way just i felt the same when i came out of that water ... Jan 2020 I truly gave my life to the lord fully finally and repent and got filled with the holy spirit i turned from my sin and i can feel the holy spirit nw lives in me ...what advice do u have for me ? shall i get baptize again ?
That's great news to hear that you were filled with the Holy Spirit! Praise the Lord!
With regards to your baptism 8 years ago, if you did not repent, confess and actually turn away from your sins before getting baptized and continued living in sin after getting baptized, then all you did was get wet when you were baptized.
Repentance is a turning away from your sin and a turning towards Jesus as your Saviour. It involves forsaking your sin and no longer wanting to continue living in sin and looking to Jesus for the power to live a victorious life above sin. Repentance must take place before water baptism in order for water baptism to be for the remission of sins. If you don't recall repenting before getting baptized, then you probably didn't repent. But it sounds like you truly repented this year, which made it possible for you to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I would err on the side of caution and get rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ. God knows your heart and as long as you are getting rebaptized because of this uncertainty, then He will understand even if your first baptism was actually Scriptural in His eyes. Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is so important that you don't want there to be any doubt. Make sure find someone who will baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ and not in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! Do you understand what water baptism accomplishes according to the Word of God? Are you part of a particular church denomination? Be sure to let me know if you have any more questions, as I'd like to be of help in any way. God bless you in your walk.

Water baptism is more than just an outward sign of an inward work. According to the Word of God, water baptism is part of the gospel and it's how we die with Jesus, and take part in the first resurrection, rising a new creation such as Romans 6 tells us. 1 Peter 3:21 tells us that baptism saves us by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:27 tells us that when we are baptized into Christ, we put on Christ. Acts 2:38 tells us that baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is for the remission of sins. Colossians 2:11-12 tells us that when we are baptized we receive a spiritual circumcision from God where the body of the sins of our flesh is removed. So much more could be said, but if you're interested, I've done an entire series on water baptism that can be found at the following link. Blessings!

Hello Brother... Thank you for this teaching... I am a little bit confused about my water baptism. My question is should i get re baptized if the person who baptized me was not yet received the Holy Spirit? But she was already a believer and got baptized in water. But when i got baptized i have already faith in Jesus Christ and i have a repented heart. And she baptized me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Is it necessary for the person who will baptized me is already a fully born again christian in water and in Spirit. I mean she or he is a fully disciple of Christ and already baptized in the Holy Spirit?
This is a touchy subject for many reasons. I'm going to be held accountable before God for my answer so it is not for me to just simply say yes or no. I will, however, point you to the Word of God in the book of Acts where only born again believers were baptizing those who had faith in the gospel. Nowhere do we read that someone who hadn't received the Holy Spirit had the authority to baptize anyone. May I ask you a few questions? How old were you when you got baptized? Have you been filled with the Holy Spirit? Are you living a life of victory and freedom from sin or do you still find yourself stuck in sin?
I have a friend who was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by someone who hadn't been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord convicted him that he needed to be baptized by someone who was born again and so he did what he felt the Lord convicted him to do and he found someone who was born again to baptize him in the name of Jesus Christ and that is when he had a powerful baptism and received freedom and was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other tongues. Do you feel convicted in any way about your need to get re-baptized by someone who has been born again and has the Holy Spirit? Do you know anyone who has been born again (baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Spirit) who could baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ? I await your response and pray you receive clarity of what you should do. God bless you!
Thank you! Learned a lot!

Are you by chance open to talking about these things? I got baptized when I was little and I didn’t really understand why I was being dipped in water, didn’t even repent! So now I’m getting into the word of God and I’m trying to teach it to my community! Should I get re baptized?
Hello! Yes, you definitely should get rebaptized if you didn't really understand what you were doing when you were baptized the first time and especially if you didn't repent first. I encourage you to learn more deeply what the Word of God speaks on this important subject before getting baptized again. One must first repent and have faith in the operation of God that takes place in water baptism in order for baptism to be for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38, Colossians 2:8-13). I was baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit when I was 5 years old and I didn't really understand repentance or baptism, and I lived a defeated life as a believer in Jesus until I came to a full understanding of the gospel in my mid twenties. Even though I believed in Jesus and God was working in my life, God revealed to me that I needed to be born again by obeying the gospel (even though I had been told by many that I had already been born again) and so I truly repented and got baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by faith and was then filled with the Holy Spirit. I then felt the heaviness of all my past sins lift from my life and I began worshipping the Lord and was filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance (just like we read in the book of Acts). It was such an amazingly powerful experience. I now disciple other believers in the truth of the gospel and see many defeated believers truly repent for the first time, get baptized in the name of Jesus by faith and get filled with the Holy Spirit. The details of the gospel are so important in today's religious confusion and false gospel deception! If you want to get grounded in the Word of God on the subject of repentance, the importance of water baptism in the name of Jesus and not in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit - be sure to watch the following video series I've done on this subject. My personal testimony is also a part of the series. Let me know if you have any more questions and please let me know the decision the Lord leads you to make. God bless you in your studies and seeking of the truth. The truth indeed sets us free! Praise the Lord Jesus!

Shattering False Foundations thank you🙏🏾
Hey I need to ask a question that I need help with, I was baptized when I was 11 years old and I believed in God but I didn’t obey God or even knew what repentance was I didn’t repent I just got baptized now that I actually know what it means and I have true faith in Jesus Christ do I repent and get baptized again. When I did get baptized I didn’t understand Anything and didn’t have a actual relationship with God until now I’m 15 now, should I get rebaptized
If someone never truly believed in Jesus Christ and repented before getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins by faith, then all they did was get wet and would need to be baptized again after coming to an understanding of who Jesus is (God manifest in the flesh) and all that He did for them through His death, burial, and resurrection. One must get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (by calling on the name of Jesus) and not in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The name of the One True God who is Father, Son, and Spirit is Jesus Christ. You also need to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit like we read about in the book of Acts. If you haven't watched my entire gospel series yet, I encourage you to watch and familiarize yourself with what the Word of God says regarding faith, belief, repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in other tongues. If you have any questions while watching, please feel free to ask. I also am connected with born again believers all over the world who can pray with you, baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ, and help you in receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. I pray you receive great clarity from God's Word on what you should do. God bless you as you study His Word!
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations I believe in God but I didn’t repent of my sins I just got dipped in the water, do I need to get baptized again in the name of Jesus and repent
Yes you need to get baptized again and this time do it after having truly repented of your sins and do it by faith understanding that it's for the remission of your sins where God washes away your sins and you become a new creation in Jesus Christ. Please watch that gospel series to get grounded in what the Word of God says and then get baptized by faith in what God's Word says.
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations I will watch it, thank you I appreciate your help

Thank you! God bless you too!
What about Matthew 28:19 where Jesus tells us to get baptized in the name of the Father the Son and of the Holy Spirit?

@@ShatteringFalseFoundations youre wrong, being baptised 'in jesus name' basically means by the authority of Jesus, thats it. not in the name of john the baptist or paul in the name or by Jesus' command. so whether u baptise in the name of the father son and holy sprit or by saying Jesus name THESE WORDS ARE THE SAME thats obeying his command
@@ShekinahFineArt "In the name of" means invoking the name when referring to being baptized in the name of the Lord. We must call upon the name of Jesus in water baptism to differentiate it from all other false religions.
Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
"In the name of" means invoking the name. So clear with the exact same Greek words, such as in the following examples.
Acts 3:6
Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Acts 4:18
And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
Acts 5:40
And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
Are you by chance aware that Shekinah is pagan? It has nothing to do with God and is found nowhere in Scripture. It is found in the Jewish Talmud and sadly many believers are ignorant of this truth and are actually inviting a divine feminine goddess into their midst. Do a little research on it. If you claim to be a Christian, you might want to change your youtube channel name.

Would you please contact someone in North Carolina who rebaptizes the way you have taught?
Praise the Lord! Whereabouts in North Carolina do you live? There are quite a few apostolic churches in North Carolina so it would be nice to find one as close to you as possible. This is exciting that God is stirring in your heart the need to be rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ like we read all through the book of Acts! Do you understand the gospel in its entirety with regards to repentance, the identity of Jesus being God (YHWH) manifest in the flesh and why we are to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and not in the titles Father/Son/Holy Spirit, what water baptism accomplishes by faith, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in other tongues?
Someone shouldn't just rush off and be rebaptized without first understanding the need to truly repent. Repentance must come before baptism in order for baptism to be for the remission of sins. I have done a gospel series that can be watched at this link:

What about when a person is baptised into a church that was unbiblical in some of its doctrines and finds the truth from another denomination, do you still need to be rebaptised
Anyone who was baptized into a church was not baptized correctly. We must be baptized into Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour after first repenting of our sins. It’s important to have a proper understanding of the gospel as the apostles preached beginning on the day of Pentecost. We must be born again of the water and the Spirit in order to enter the kingdom of God.
John 3:3-5 KJVS
[3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [4] Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? [5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Peter then preached the gospel under the New Covenant for the very first time. This is how we are born again of the water and the Spirit.
Romans 6:3-4 KJVS
[3] Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

I see that you’re replying to a lot of comments on here so I thought I should go ahead and ask a question of my own.
I got baptized at the age 16 in a Pentecostal church (I’m not with any denominations myself, I believe it separates the Bible) but it was the only church I was aware of that baptized in the correct way which is in the name of Yeshua (Jesus)
When I got baptized I did it in the understanding that we are “required” to according to John 3:3-5, however, I somewhat now believe that John 3:3-5 wasn’t referring towards water baptism but was talking about being birthed from your mother, and of course being born again by the Spirit. (I’m still learning about it tbh) But regardless, baptism is still very important because it’s how we are “buried” with Him.
Now this is where my main question comes in. When I turned 17 I fell back into deep willful sin due to the relationship I got in at the time. I would still repent but I would continually seek after my own self pleasures. Skipping ahead of time when I was 19, I prayed and asked Elohim to take anyone out of my life who is hindering my relationship with Him, and about a week later the girl I was with since I was 17 left me. Now at the beginning of January/February I made a sincere repentance and truly (as I would like to say) came back to Christ. I know no longer live in the way I used to live, I no longer try to abuse the grace of Elohim, I am now freed from deep depression/anxiety, and etc.
I suppose this question is funny to ask because you did go over it in your video, but what throws me off is how I just willingly went after willful sin after being baptized. So simply just repenting and truly meaning it with a humbled heart is completely okay, right? And with the understanding of baptism I had at the time? I’m just not sure if I got baptized in the thought of “if I get baptized then I’m saved” because that would be trusting in my own works? Also, if this is all confusing that’s my bad aha.
Hey Thomas, thanks for taking the time to comment and ask questions. Praise the Lord that you are now freed from deep depression and anxiety! Don't worry, your question isn't confusing. There are so many issues that need to be understood and dealt with regarding what you wrote because a simple answer can't be given until some other things are understood. First of all, I'm so glad to hear that you were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at the age of 16. I can't stress enough about the importance of being baptized in the name of Jesus and not in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I am not part of any denomination either because I understand that the church (body of Christ) is made up of all who have obeyed the gospel under the New Covenant by faith (Acts 2:38). I have done an entire gospel series of foundational truths that must be understood about the gospel and how we obey the gospel that the apostles preached. I encourage you to watch this gospel series of mine in order from the first video in the list to the last video and feel free to comment as you watch. It will lead you through the Word of God regarding much of what I'll be saying in this response but in much greater depth. They can be watched at the following link:

I do not believe that John 3:5 when referring to being born of the water is referring to being born of our mother. I've heard many people try and teach this from that passage, but I feel it falls short when compared with the rest of God's Word. First off, it would be a redundant statement for Jesus to be telling Nicodemus that he needed to be born of his mother a human being and be born of the Spirit in order to enter the kingdom of God. When we compare Scripture with Scripture and allow the Word of God to speak, it becomes abundantly clear that being born of the water is referring to water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and being born of the Spirit is receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in other tongues. My video series that I posted above will help establish this understanding through Scripture. You are correct in saying that we are buried with Jesus in water baptism, but it is also where we are crucified with Jesus and resurrect with Jesus according to the entire context of Romans 6. After we truly repent by turning away from and forsaking our sins, we then turn to Jesus in faith to save us from our sins by getting baptized in water by full immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins where our old man is crucified and the body of sin destroyed and where we put on the new man, Jesus Christ, rising out of the water a new creation in Christ. We are then promised to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in other tongues.
May I ask you a few questions that will help me answer your question more Scripturally? Have you been baptized with the Holy Spirit and spoken in other tongues? If so, when did it happen? Before you got baptized in the name of Jesus Christ did you have personal faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and all that He did for you through His death, burial and resurrection? Did you recognize that you were a sinner and that your sins had separated you from God? Did you truly repent (forsake your sins and in your heart turn from them not wanting to continue in sin) before getting baptized? If you know with certainty that you had personal faith in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour before getting baptized and that you truly repented of your sins before getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, then your baptism was valid and was for the remission of sins. Any sins that you committed after your baptism would then need to be repented of by going to God and confessing your sins and turning away from those sins by not continuing in those sins, and instead turning to Jesus who has freed you from sin by His amazing grace and trust and lean on Him for victory, being led by the Spirit and walking after the Spirit and not after the flesh. If you didn't really repent before getting baptized, then you would need to consider getting baptized again, but this time truly repenting before doing so.
I also think that you need to come to a deeper understanding on salvation by grace through faith and how obeying the gospel is not doing "works of the law" but is how we show God we have true biblical faith. My video series will help you understand these important truths from Scripture. There is a difference between works of the law and works of faith. In James Chapter 2, we are told that faith without works is dead being alone. In that instance, the works that James is referring to is not "works of the law" but active faith (faithful obedience, works that prove our faith). If we have faith in the gospel, we will obey the gospel. Obeying the gospel, including water baptism is not a work of the law but is something we must do by faith so that we have active faith and not dead faith like James was warning about. Much more could be said, but I don't want to overwhelm and I want to give you a chance to respond before going any deeper. Also please watch my video series if you feel led to as I think it will help put your mind at ease about certain things and help you to see if there is anything else God is wanting you to understand and do by faith. I await your reply. God bless and keep you!

I appreciate your response and I’ll definitely look into your videos when I’m able to :)
Now with your questions. Have I ever been baptized in the Holy Spirit? I’m not completely sure. I was praying one night (about a week or two ago) and I was adding some Hebrew words into my prayer and suddenly I just began to get into this sobbing state? I didn’t have any tears coming out of my eyes but I was absolutely in a sobbing state for sure, I just went down on my hands and knees and just began to keep speaking Hebrew (in the words I knew), and then I spoke or “added” some other language/words that I’m not completely familiar with. I mean it certainly did sound Hebrew but it also could’ve been Aramaic or Arabic, but it did sound Hebrew if I had to give an exact answer. And if I remember correctly I didn’t “force” it to happen, it just came whilst I was crying out to Him asking for forgiveness and etc. I’m not 100% sure if that was the Spirit, I’m still learning about it all.
Did I have a personal relationship with Christ and allow Him to be my Savior before baptism? Absolutely. I would actually continue to allow Him in my life over and over again aha, I was always worried about not making the “right” prayer or just thinking I didn’t do it “right” the first try. I did also acknowledge that I was a sinner and etc.
I did repent, but I did fall back into temptation after baptism and it just made me feel absolutely terrible. But I also did seek after repentance as well. But I guess I could say I didn’t “fully” understand what repentance was until I got older. When I repented before baptism I did it in the understanding of “Father I’m sorry for everything I did, please forgive me.” Now I also understand it’s that, but also where you grow a hatred towards your sin and you seek to stay away from it and seek after living holy and just pleasing the Father and not your flesh. Basically a change within your heart/mind I would say, if I’m able to remember correctly (I got a bad memory) I never really knew that was what repentance strictly was at the time. It’s honestly quite hard for me to explain, but that’s probably because it’s 3am and I’m pretty tired not gonna lie. But I’ve already written out a whole essay so I’ll await your reply!
@@thomas7571 Thanks for responding! This helps a lot. My gospel series will help establish this important point, in greater detail, but very briefly I will mention here that one must be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to be able to live a life of victory and freedom above sin. We won't be able to walk after the Spirit until we have been filled with the Spirit. The Word of God makes it very clear that the apostles knew whether or not someone had received the Holy Spirit by whether or not they had spoken in other tongues (a language they had never learned nor understood). So if after you were baptized when you were 16 you never were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues, then this would explain why you so easily lived in willful sin. We need to be filled with the Spirit so we can walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. What you have described that happened a week or two ago when you began speaking other words that you weren't familiar with could have been the initial infilling of the Holy Spirit. If so, this means that you can now live a Spirit led life. I encourage you to continue to worship God by crying out to Him and praising Him for all that He has done for you. Thanking Him for His amazing love and mercy and seek to be filled afresh with HIs Spirit to overflowing. Everyone who has been filled with the Spirit is able to pray in the Spirit (a language they have never learned) for self edification (I've done a video entirely on this important subject in 1 Corinthians 14 that I think would bless you).
The reason you may have so easily fallen back into temptation after baptism was because you were never filled with the Holy Spirit at that time and so you didn't have the power to live a godly life even though you were freed from your sins when you got baptized. One must be baptized in water and be baptized in the Holy Spirit in order to be born again. Both need to agree together in one new birth. My videos will make all of this abundantly clear, as I allow Scripture to speak for itself. I encourage you to continue to praise the Lord and seek to be overflowing with His Spirit to where you begin praying in the Spirit in a language you have never learned, as the Spirit gives the utterance. If you ask for bread, He will not give you a stone. Pour your heart out to Him and worship Him and He will turn the words of your mouth into a spiritual language you have never learned. This will edify you and give you confidence, revealing to you that you can now walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh and that all your past sins have been covered by the blood of Jesus when you got baptized and any future sins would just need to be truly repented of, causing them to also be covered by the blood of Jesus. Again, so much more could be said, but hopefully these words are an encouragement to you and they lead you to watching my gospel series where you can get grounded in these truths and God can speak to you through His Word on what may be lacking in your faith and understanding. God bless you in your studies and walk with Him!
Hello pastor..I baptized when I was 15yrs old and I was not sure about it like whether I was really came out of all habitual sins....and I baptized in the name of father son and holy spirit. So now am fasting and praying continues to get out of habitual sins... should I take baptism in the name of Jesus Christ again? And also please explain why we should not take baptism in title of the father of the son and of the holy spirit.... because in Mathew 28:19 it's says take baptism in the name of the father, of the son and of the holy spirit.
Hello my friend, thanks for opening up and asking these important questions. I found myself in a similar situation as you in my mid twenties when I recognized that I hadn't yet been born again (even though I had believed in Jesus my entire life) and that I had not experienced a transformation in my life by being freed from sin because I didn't fully understand the gospel. Here is a link to my personal testimony if you are interested in hearing my faith journey:
th-cam.com/video/nzIm-6KLVm8/w-d-xo.html
Repentance involves changing your mind regarding serving sin and instead choosing to serve righteousness (willing to give up all sinful habits to instead serve Jesus Christ and live a life of victory above sin by the Holy Spirit). We can only serve righteousness by turning to Jesus Christ for forgiveness. So once one truly changes their mind about serving sin (true and full repentance), one must then turn away from their sins and turn to Jesus to save them from their sins (this is where baptism enters the picture). One can't stop sinning on their own because after we sin from our youth we are in bondage to sin and must be freed from that bondage (the harder we try not to sin on our own, the harder we fall). This is why we get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins as we read about in Acts 2:38. Water baptism is more than just an outward sign of an inward work. Water baptism is where we call upon the name of Jesus Christ in order to be saved, it's where we receive remission (forgiveness) of our sins, where we receive a new heart by the operation of God, and where we are crucified, buried, and resurrected with Jesus Christ as we read all through the New Testament. When we get baptized by faith after we've truly and fully repented, it shows God that we have faith in all that Jesus did for us through His death, burial, and resurrection. It shows God that we recognize that our sins have separated us from God and that we need the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from all sin. The Word of God reveals to us that when we get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, we are baptized into His death and our old man is crucified and buried with Him, and we rise a new creation having put on the new man, Jesus Christ. This is how we are Scripturally found "in Jesus Christ" (Romans 6, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:9-13, 1 Peter 3:21, etc...).
If this is new to you, I encourage you to watch my gospel video series and my water baptism series that goes into great depth on these important truths as we read in the Word of God:

Matthew 28:19 is a command of Jesus telling them to preach the gospel to all nations, baptizing the believers in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. It says "name" and not "names." Father is not a name, son is not a name, and Holy Spirit is not a name. These are all titles describing how God has revealed Himself to mankind. The actual singular name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ. The apostles understood that in order to actually obey the command of Jesus they needed to actually baptize in the singular name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16, 10:48, 19:5, 22:16). There is no power in the titles Father, Son, and Spirit. There is power in the name of Jesus Christ which is why we can see miracles take place when we pray for someone in the name of Jesus Christ. Getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ shows God that we acknowledge Jesus as our great God and Saviour. Jesus Christ is the true God and eternal life. The name of Jesus embodies all of who God is as our Saviour. There is no salvation in any other name. Acts 2:38 reveals how when we get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by faith, we will receive remission of sins. We are then promised to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
So much more could be said, but if you feel God is tugging at your heart through what I've shared, I pray you will watch the video series above and allow God to speak to you through His Word on these important truths. It's important that we understand the gospel and that we obey it by faith so that we can be born again and truly set free from the bondage to sin. Let me know if you have any more questions and if you can see your need to be rebaptized, many churches today won't baptize in the name of Jesus Christ, but I am connected with born again believers all over the world that I may be able to connect you with in your area who can baptize you and can also pray with you to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. God bless you in your prayer and fasting and seeking of the truth!
Sir, I wasn't feeling very well and had doubts the day i got baptized. (I think i was under heavy attack)
I also had the feeling my left feet and part of my forhead wasnt fully submerged is this something to worry about
When you say you had doubts, can you be more specific? Did you lack faith in Jesus Christ and all that He accomplished for you through His death, burial, and resurrection? Did you understand why you were getting baptized and what it would accomplish? If so, did you have faith in what you knew? Did you truly repent before you got baptized? Were you baptized in the name of Jesus Christ or were you baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost?
If one is fully immersed in water where they go under the water and a small part of their body happened to not have gone under completely, don't worry about that. The most important thing is that you were baptized by full immersion and not sprinkled with water or had water poured over you. God is looking at your faith and step of obedience to be baptized by full immersion. I'll be able to better answer you if you can answer these questions for me. God bless!
So I got baptized first when I was nine and I didn’t know about it I just wanted to do it cause a couple of my friends were doing it. Later on in life, On a Sunday during the call to Jesus, I believe that Jesus knocked at my heart and began to cry not knowing why, I heard in my someone say walk to the alter and I did, I then got re-baptized at the age of 18 last year knowing about repentance and why Jesus died for me, I also received the Holy Spirit. I was faithful and praised God everyday but later began to fall away and began to sin again I would repent and do the same thing again but I have now truly repented and want to live my life for Jesus. I was just wondering did I have to get re-baptized and have I lost my Salvation?
When you got baptized, were you baptized in the name of Jesus Christ or the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? If you were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, then you don't need to get rebaptized since you had faith in Jesus and repented before you were baptized. All you need to do is continue to live a repentant life by turning away from what you know is sin and looking to Jesus as your mediator and Saviour. Renew your mind with the Word of God about what your baptism accomplished (like in Romans 6 and Colossians 2) and continue to look to God for grace each day to help you. This is why we have a mediator, Jesus Christ, if we sin after we are baptized. We only need to get baptized once, and if we sin, we turn to Jesus for forgiveness knowing that He will forgive us if we truly turn to Him with a repentant heart. A repentant heart does not want to keep on sinning, but will turn to Jesus. We must then learn how to walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh, growing unto full maturity in the Lord.
But if you have been baptized in the name of the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, you need to recognize the importance of actually obeying that command and be baptized in the name of the One True God who has manifested Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost and that name is revealed to us as Jesus. We must call upon the name of the Lord in water baptism. It's really important. I've seen people who struggled with sin, actually get rebaptized in the name of Jesus with the understanding of the name of Jesus for the remission of our sins and their struggle with sin was finally dealt with. You don't lose your salvation if you sin after your baptism, but one must truly repent in order for the sins committed after baptism to be forgiven. Does this answer your question? Again, knowing how you were baptized is important in order for me to give you a straight up answer to your situation. If you don't know how you were baptized, just ask what the people who baptized you believe. If they don't believe that baptism is to be done by invoking the name of Jesus, then you need to find yourself someone who will baptize you in the name of Jesus. I can help you find people in your area that baptize the way the apostles baptized and the way in which Jesus commanded. Just let me know. God bless you as you continue to seek the truth.
what about the scriptures in Matthew 28:19..."Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you..." The Holy Bible does say to baptize in Jesus Christ, but also in the Father, Son (who is Jesus Christ), and Holy Ghost...aren't they both correct, The Lord God is One
@@karabu6649 Father is not a name. Son is not a name. Holy Ghost is not a name. They are all titles of the One True God. The name of the One True God who has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus. So we must obey the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19 by being baptized in the name of Jesus. The apostles actually obeyed the command of Jesus and baptized Jews, the people of Samaria, and Gentiles in the name of Jesus. Since Jesus is the name above all names and the only name by which we are saved, and the name in which we are supposed to do all things in word or deed, we should understand that the name of Jesus must be called upon in water baptism. So when someone gets baptized by only saying, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, one is not actually calling upon the name of those titles. Jesus is the name of the One True God who possesses those titles. I've done an entire video series on water baptism that goes into this subject in more depth if you are interested in studying these things more deeply.
I always remind people that devils aren't cast out by saying in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Devils are cast out in the name of Jesus. There's power in the actual name of Jesus, not in the titles. I hope this helps. God bless you in your studies.
Hi brother just a question i was baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for remission of sins and to be placed into his death resurrection and church
I fully was immersed under water apart from my forehead didnt get under or water on it.
My whole body and head was under water apart from my forehead
Is this still valid just take my faith and obedience serious
Also what if my repentance wasnt good enough or perfect because we do repent and die daily till we die in this body so what if i didnt repent enough or repent rightly at the time.
Ive just got these what ifs
Thank you
Hello my friend! There's always so much that could be said regarding water baptism.
As long as you understood that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh (not denying the deity of Jesus Christ), truly repented of your sins and had personal faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour before getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, then your baptism was valid. You weren't sprinkled with water and so by going under the water by full immersion, the fact that part of your forehead didn't go under the water does not invalidate your baptism. You got immersed (went down into) in water where you were crucified with Christ and buried with Christ and you rose to walk in newness of life. God is looking at your heart and your obedience to His command to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in that moment. Jesus is the one who saves us when we are baptized, not the water. So don't allow that minor detail to make you doubt your baptism's validity.
Now with regards to your repentance and whether it was good enough or not. That is a common question with many believers who have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. With some people who were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, they never truly repented before getting baptized and so their baptism would not have accomplished anything. These people would need to be baptized again after truly repenting for their baptism to be for the remission of sins.
But there are many people who have truly repented before baptism and then begin to wonder if they repented "enough." The enemy could start sowing seeds of doubt in their mind. By thinking of repentance in that way, it can cause someone to misunderstand biblical repentance. Repentance is a turning away from sin and a turning to Jesus to save us from our sins. It's a change of heart regarding us serving sin. Repentance is a willingness to let go of all sin with a desire/willingness to be freed from sin. Anyone who gets baptized while wanting to continue in certain sins they know are sinful has not truly repented. Anyone who gets baptized acknowledging their sinfulness and in their heart before God is letting go of all sin in a general sense and desires to be freed from it has truly repented. It's a heart issue, not necessarily something that is "good enough" or not. Did you repent from the heart? Only you can determine if your heart was right before God when you got baptized and you were ready and willing to see all of your sins washed away and were not planning to continue living in sin or holding on to specific sins. If so, you then acknowledge to God by getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ that you are trusting in Him as the way to live a victorious life above sin. So repentance is just as much a turning to Jesus to save us from our sins as much as it is a turning away from sin. If we turn away from sin we must turn to Jesus or else we will just fall back into sin. This is why baptism follows repentance. By turning away from sin we then turn to Jesus to save us from our sins and call upon the name of Jesus in water baptism. That's where our old man is crucified and buried and where we rise to walk in newness of life.
Were you holding on to any sins in your heart that you were unwilling to give up before you got baptized? This is the main question you need to ask yourself. If in your heart you were willing to give up all sin in your life that you were aware of at that time, then God sees your heart and He gives you a new heart in baptism and writes His law on your heart.
I see you asked another question on another video. I'll save my next point for that reply. Was this helpful? Did you need any further clarification on anything?

Can you help find someone to re-baptize me in my area? Most of the churches around here won't do it because I was baptized before or want me to take classes, and yes, the first time I was baptized, I was young and didn't understand the significance of a relationship with Jesus Christ. A lot of the churches don't baptize properly either, refusing to say in the name of Jesus Christ and instead say in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. As far as where I live, I'm live in Independence, Missouri. If you could help me, I would be eternally grateful, thanks!
Hey there Michael, that's great news that you want to get rebaptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and with the understanding of what water baptism accomplishes. There is a married couple just outside of Lincoln, Nebraska who understands the gospel and will baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 6:2
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Anyone can call out to Jesus Christ, their God and Saviour at any time, confessing their sins to Him and turning to Him in true repentance and with a true heart desiring to forsake your sins and cling to Him for salvation. God will provide a way for someone who's heart desires to walk in obedience to the gospel and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins. I know there are born again believers all over the world in every single country that are willing to travel to those in need of being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Do you need help finding someone to baptize you?
If someone dies without ever having had the opportunity to get baptized, yet they truly repented and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, then I believe God will judge righteously and mercifully. But if we have an opportunity and don't take it, we will be judged according to God's Word that speaks loudly to importance of water baptism where we die with Jesus Christ and are resurrected to new life in Him (Romans 6, Galatians 3:26-27).
Let me know if you have any further questions.

How did the thief upon the cross ( right side) end up going to paradise without baptism? Faith
@@timjones6637 Yes the thief on the cross who died alongside Jesus went to paradise by faith. What one needs to understand is that he was under the Old Covenant. The New Covenant had not yet been established because Jesus Christ had not yet died. The thief on the cross couldn’t get baptized into Jesus Christ’s death because the New Covenant gospel had not yet been established and declared. The apostle Peter preached the New Covenant gospel for the first time in Acts Chapter 2. Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is how we get baptized into the death of Jesus Christ. If we don’t get baptized then it shows we either don’t have faith in the gospel or we have been deceived by “another gospel” that the apostle Paul warned about. We must be born again and water and Spirit under the New Covenant. The thief on the cross couldn’t experience either because Jesus had not yet died, resurrected, and ascended into heaven. Notice how Jesus commanded the apostles to begin to preach the New Covenant gospel message after they were filled with the Holy Spirit. That happened after Jesus died!
Luke 24:46-49 KJVS
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: [47] And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. [48] And ye are witnesses of these things. [49] And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Peter then obeys the command of Jesus after he was filled with the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost.
Acts 2:38 KJVS
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ under the New Covenant is how we are baptized into the death of Jesus Christ by faith. Baptism is a step of faith!
Romans 6:3-4 KJVS
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

I baptized befor getting close to God and now I fallen apart from God do I have to be baptized again in order to be saved and in order to have a relationship with God please answer I really been finding an answer to this
Hello and thanks for taking the time to ask this important question. One must first truly believe in Jesus Christ and genuinely repent of their sins before getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in order for baptism to be for the remission of sins. If you didn't repent before getting baptized the first time and if you were baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Spirit, then you need to be rebaptized. In order to obey the gospel you must first truly repent and then get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (not in the titles Father, Son, and Spirit), understanding the true identity of Jesus as God manifest in the flesh.
We obey the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19 by getting baptized in the singular name of Jesus which is the name of the One True God who has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Spirit. The name of Jesus Christ is important for you to call upon when you get baptized and that name should be invoked by the person baptizing you. I encourage you to learn more from God's Word regarding the full gospel under the New Covenant that the apostles preached before rushing out and getting rebaptized and then do as you feel the Lord leading you to do through His Word. If you need help finding someone who will baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ, I may be able to help connect you with other born again believers in your area. God bless you in your studies and in your seeking of the truth. Just remember that Acts 2:38 is the gospel message under the New Covenant for both Jew and Gentile that we must obey in order to be born again (saved). When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you will begin speaking in another language that you have never learned as the Spirit gives you the utterance just like we read about in the book of Acts. It's such a beautiful and powerful experience and confirmation that you've received the seal of promise. It's a promise to everyone who confesses faith in Jesus Christ, repents, and gets baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins. Let me know if you have any other questions that you need help with.
We are missing the point here. John specifically said. I baptize you with water.... Jesus baptize with? The holy spirit not by water
Jesus baptized “with” the Holy Spirit where His Spirit dwells in us but we need to be baptized into Jesus Christ where we dwell in Him. We must be baptized “into” Jesus Christ’s death so that we can rise out of the water a new creation in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:27; Romans 6; 1 Peter 3:20-21; Acts 2:38; John 3:3-5). We must be born of the water and the Spirit. Water baptized and Spirit baptized. People who ignore water baptism as part of the gospel are missing a big chunk of how we are born again. Religion has turned water baptism into a ritual or watered it down to such a point that it really serves no purpose. The Word of God declares otherwise. We must obey the gospel the apostles preached in order to be born again and that message we need to obey is found in Acts 2:38. Repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (water baptism) and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Spirit baptism).

Ok lets understand the one baptism!
Immersion in water or immersion in Christ.
Do we get water baptized to be in Christ? Do we get water baptized because God searches the hearts for faith, and grants repentance unto life, purifies the heart by faith, because God saved us by faith?
Jesus said we must be reborn!
What was John 3 really talking about?
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Note: what does it mean to be born of water?
What does it mean to be born of the Spirit.
Lets read the next verse. Jesus breaks it down.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
He is describing a rebirth. The first birth was of the flesh of adam.
Paul said the first Adam was a fleshly soul.
The second Adam being Jesus, is a life giving Spirit.
He was born of God. Adam was created by God.
Jesus was not born of the seed of man multiplying from Adam; but of God conceived of the Holy Spirit, in the womb of a virgin.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
This is why we must be born again, this has nothing to do with water baptism.
Read 1 Corinthians 15.. sown( born) in corruptible seed, reborn of incorruptible seed in Jesus
Are we born in judgment of the fall of creation by one mans sin?
Is eve the mother of all living?
Genesis 3:
20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living
Are we all in adam in our fleshly birth? Are we condemned in this birth and eventually sin and held accountable for our sin?
The first birth is corrupt and we all sin in this iniquity we are born into, all in adam.
Romans 5
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Marvel not, we must be reborn!!
@@ProclaimeroftheGospelofJesus Here's my baptism series that goes into great depth from the Word of God on this subject:
th-cam.com/play/PLo_7oh9llbNZ2GrHzabwK-uXkKwf64Hgk.html
The one baptism of Scripture under the New Covenant is water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. It's not an either or situation.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 6:3
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Colossians 2:11-12
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
1 Peter 3:20-21
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
All of the above passages are referring to New Covenant water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ which is to be done by full immersion like we read about in Acts 8:38. To take away water from the passages above is to twist and manipulate Scripture to say what one wants it to say based off of one's preconceived ideas usually instilled in one's mind from a denominational understanding of Scripture.
1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Many confuse this passage and teach that being baptized into Jesus Christ is referring to being baptized with the Holy Spirit that happens automatically upon belief in Jesus. They ignore multitudes of other Scriptures which show that we are baptized into Jesus Christ when we are baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ by faith. What this passage is revealing to us is that the Spirit of God is responsible for baptizing us into Jesus Christ when we are baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ by faith. It's not something the person getting baptized can do nor is it something the person baptizing does. The person baptizing is just a vessel through which God is working. God is the one doing the work by His Spirit of baptizing us into Jesus Christ when we get baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ by faith. We must have faith in the operation of God that takes place when we are baptized as Colossians 2:12 makes clear. The latter part of 1 Corinthians 12:13 is referring to Spirit baptism when it reads, "and have been all made to drink into one Spirit." That verse is speaking of being born of water and Spirit just like Jesus declared in John 3:5.
We get water baptized to show God that we have faith in the gospel and all that He did through His death, burial, and resurrection. We get water baptized to see our old man crucified and to put on the new man, Jesus Christ. We get water baptized for the remission of sins. (Acts 2:38; Romans 6).
Ananias told Paul very clearly that he needed to be baptized while calling on the name of Jesus in order to see his sins washed away.
Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
The jailer risked his life to get baptized in the middle of the night in Acts 16:33. Kind of a ridiculous thing to do if it has nothing to do with salvation wouldn't you say!?
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
John 3:5 contains words of Jesus correcting Nicodemus' carnal understanding of how bing born of water and Spirit was referring to natural birth. Being born of water in no way is referring to being born of Adam! It's most definitely in alignment with the rest of the New Testament regarding salvation through Jesus Christ under the New Covenant (water baptism and Spirit baptism agreeing together in one salvation experience of being born again). Religion and traditions of men have twisted and manipulated the clear teaching of Scripture regarding the gospel the apostles preached and salvation through Jesus Christ and have taken away all aspects of man's need to respond in faith to the gospel in order to be born again. Getting baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ is something we must do in faith in order to receive remission of sins (Acts 2:38). Remission of sins is something God does to those with true biblical faith in the gospel.

I take it you are also a Calvinist. Here is a series I did refuting the erroneous doctrinal system of Calvinistic theology:
th-cam.com/play/PLo_7oh9llbNbuveNaVxp6cwBpyeOpuylY.html
Your understanding of Jesus not being "of Adam" is flawed and is rooted in trinitarian dogma. God fathered a Son, but that in no way means Jesus Christ wasn't "of Adam" with regards to his humanity. The Word of God clearly reveals Jesus to be the singular seed of Abraham that is mentioned in Genesis.
Galatians 3:16
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, and to thy seed, which is Christ.
Jesus is also called the Son of David. When one is able to allow their preconceived idea of original sin corrected through the Word of God, then one can recognize that Jesus came into this world like everyone else, as an innocent child. Jesus was the only one to live a sinless life from his youth. The Word of God declares that everyone else sins from their youth and comes short of the glory of God.
May God speak to you through His Word as you consider these things.
Yes, yes, yes. Truth, truth, truth. Jesus. No false bablonian captivity y names. Jesus.
what does it mean to repent?.......how does one 'repent'?
Very good question! To repent is to turn away from sin and turn towards Jesus in obedience. Repentance is more than just feeling sorry for your sin, but is a forsaking of sin and a turning away from a lifestyle of sin and desiring to live a life of victory above sin through Jesus Christ. One cannot live a life of victory above sin until they see their old man (body of sin) crucified and buried with Jesus. This takes place when we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ as Romans 6 explains in detail. So water baptism should only take place after someone truly repents (turns away from and forsakes their old lifestyle of sin). If there is any sin that someone refuses to turn away from then that wouldn't be true repentance. It is a forsaking of all and a turning towards Jesus who will give you the grace to live a life of victory in Him. Those who truly repent and are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ are promised to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The sign that someone has received the Holy Spirit is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. Once someone is filled with the Holy Spirit, then that person can walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. They can now live a Spirit led life. This is what John 3 refers to as being born again (born of the water and the Spirit).

So are we to keep the 10 Commandments?
We are not saved by works of the law but by works of faith. Under the New Covenant we look to Jesus now as the author and finisher of our faith. We must be born again and "put on Christ" and be filled with the Holy Spirit so we can walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. We do what Jesus said by the grace of God through the Spirit. The sabbath day commandment was never taught by Jesus Christ since He has become our eternal sabbath (He is our rest). The other 9 commandments Jesus taught and we keep them by abiding in Him and by walking after the Spirit. God gets all the glory, not us depending on our good works in whether we keep the Old Covenant law or not. Jesus fulfilled the law and has provided everyone with the opportunity to be found in Him not having their own righteousness (which is as filthy rags in God's eyes) but the righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ by faith. Faith is active and our faith should always be in Jesus Christ and His completed work. I have done an entire series on the sabbath day rest under the New Covenant if interested:

What happens if one get saved, turn to sins and forgot to repent some and further baptized when parents forced. Is it biblical/valid
I don't believe your question reveals a biblical understanding of salvation. Someone can't "get saved" before getting baptized. Getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ is part of salvation since it's where we receive remission of sins. Faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and repentance from the heart must come before water baptism. If someone was baptized incorrectly then they must learn what the Word of God says regarding baptism and walk in obedience to the Word of God. If someone was baptized without truly repenting of their sins, then all they did was get wet. They would need to first truly repent and then get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by faith. Be sure to watch my gospel series to understand important details from the Word of God regarding water baptism and salvation.

Most religious denominations today do not baptize in the name of Jesus Christ. If you got baptized in the titles, you need to find a church who adheres to the gospel the apostles preached and that baptizes in the name of Jesus Christ since there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. It's really important!
Repentance is not necessarily remembering to confess every single individual sin that you have ever committed in your lifetime but it's a turning away from your sins, recognizing that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour, and a turning towards Jesus to save you from your sins. Repentance is a willingness and desire to be freed from bondage to sin by giving God your whole heart. If your heart is fully yielded to God and there is no sin that you are holding onto and unwilling to be freed from, then you have truly repented. So only you can answer that question of whether you truly repented before getting baptized. You then need to make sure you got baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy will always try and get people to doubt things, but as long as you turned from your sins and turned to Jesus to save you from your sins by getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, then you just need to let the enemy know that you have been washed and set free from bondage to sin and you are a new creation in Jesus Christ. In other words, you need to renew your mind through the Word of God.
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations I belong to Pentecostal denomination. An ordained Pastor baptized me in the name in the name of Jesus Christ 🙏
@@RohanPeter-e3t I’m glad to hear that you have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. It sounds like your baptism was valid then. This might just be the enemy sowing seeds of doubt in your mind. You just need to renew your mind with the Word of God. Did what I shared about repentance help at all?
My view is that my "re-baptism" was actually my one-and-only Born-again baptism.
Would you please explain further? I think I understand what you are saying. Are you like me who was initially baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Spirit and then came to understand the gospel and was rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ after truly repenting? If so, when we got baptized the correct way according to Scripture after truly repenting then it really is the one and only born again baptism. I would agree with you if that’s what you’re saying. If we get baptized any other way then all we’re doing is getting wet and it’s not considered a true baptism in God’s eyes.

@@danielestaub9445 Got ya. I was baptized when I was 5 years old and didn’t even understand repentance at the time. So both of our child baptisms weren’t even considered born again baptisms. It’s never too late to get rebaptized. I know a pastor who baptized a 98 year old man who came to understand the gospel. So awesome!

Good interpretation brother. Thank you.
I had my eyes open when I went under water and I didn't understand what baptism was or how you change after it because a was young and unknowing of what it truly meant to be baptized should I be baptized again?
Yes
I was baptized after I believed and committed to following Christ. I didn't get baptized for salvation. Is my water baptism invalid then?
Hello Giraffe Backflip, As long as you truly repented before you were baptized and had faith in Jesus Christ and what He accomplished for you through His death, burial, and resurrection, and the name of Jesus Christ was called upon or invoked during your water baptism, then your baptism is valid even if when you were baptized you didn't fully understand that water baptism is part of the gospel and when we actually receive remission of sins.
Were you baptized in the name of Jesus Christ or in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? If you were baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, I would find a born again Christian to rebaptize you in the name of Jesus Christ to walk in full obedience to the commands of Jesus and the apostles (watch my other videos on this subject if you don't understand what I am talking about). If you already were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, then I would renew your mind with the Word of God by reading Romans Chapter 6 and receive revelation of what your baptism accomplished for you and walk in the victory and newness of life that Jesus has provided you since you put on Christ in water baptism. Paul even had to remind the Roman Christians about their baptisms by saying "know ye not that so much of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death that like as Christ was raised up by the glory of the Father, even we should walk in newness of life..." The main thing now if you truly repented before you were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, is to walk in the newness of life that Jesus provided for you and live a life of walking after the Spirit and not after the flesh. This all happens when we understand that our old man was crucified with Christ in water baptism and that we can live a life of victory over sin through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Hope this answered your question. Let me know if you have any more. Thanks for tuning into my channel and I hope it has blessed you in some small way. God bless!
Focus on Acts 2. This is the day that the apostles first preached what Christ told them to do just before He ascended into heaven. Peter preached to them Christ, they were sorrowful and asked what they needed to do. Peter told them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." This is all they knew...They knew who Jesus was and what they had to do to remove their sin so they obeyed. From that point forward they grew in their understanding as the apostles taught them.
Do you get the Holy Spirit when you repent and believe in Jesus Christ or in water baptism? I am confused on this
Hey there, that's a good and important question. I can understand the confusion since there is a lot of misinformation and conflicting thoughts in the religious world on this subject.
Water baptism and Spirit baptism are two different experiences that are both required in order to be born again (John 3:3-5). We must be born of the water AND the Spirit in order to be born again and enter the kingdom of God. This is in reference to water baptism and Spirit baptism that agree together in a born again salvation experience under the New Covenant. Water baptism is for the remission of sins where God washes away your sins, gives you a new heart (circumcision of the heart), where your old man is crucified and buried and you put on the new man Jesus Christ, and it's where God gives you a clean conscience (Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16; Romans 6; Colossians 2:11-14; Galatians 3:27; 1 Peter 3:21). But one must first have faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and repent of their sins before getting baptized in order for baptism to be for the remission of sins. This is one of the reasons why infant baptism is unbiblical.
Now to answer your question about when we get the Holy Spirit. Someone can receive the Holy Spirit before or after water baptism, but most commonly people receive the Holy Spirit after water baptism. Water baptism needs to be done in the name of Jesus Christ, not the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The singular name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is Jesus. An example of when people received the Holy Spirit before water baptism is found in Acts 10:43-48 where they were then commanded to be baptized in water in the name of Jesus. An example where people had not yet been filled with the Holy Spirit until after water baptism can be found in Acts 19:1-6. The sign that the apostles looked for to know if someone had received the Holy Spirit was that of speaking in other tongues. I've done videos on this subject if you are interested in deeper study. I hope this helps clear up some confusion my friend and be sure to let me know if you have any other questions. God bless you in your continued studies and seeking of the truth!

Are you saying that baptism saves you?
Jesus saves! The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe (Romans 1:16). The gospel needs to be obeyed and so true belief in the gospel is when someone obeys the gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:8; 1 Peter 4:17; Romans 10:16). This is true biblical faith. The gospel is clearly laid out in Acts 2.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
If we truly believe that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh and have faith in all He did to redeem mankind through His death, burial, and resurrection; then we will repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Salvation takes place when we are born again of both water and Spirit (water baptism and Spirit baptism) that will only occur after true personal faith in Jesus and genuine repentance.
So this needs to be understood in order to answer your question. Water baptism doesn't save as if anyone who gets water baptized is saved. People who get baptized without any faith or repentance will not receive remission of sins. Faith and repentance must come first in order for water baptism to be for the remission of sins unto salvation. So the answer to your question is both yes and no. Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (not titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) after someone first has personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and truly repents of their sins is where they receive remission of sins. Someone who gets baptized without faith only gets wet.
Faith is key! We are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8). Salvation is a gift from God to all mankind. We must receive His free gift of salvation by faith in the gospel. I want to give you a visual to help you to understand how our faith is required in order to receive the free gift of salvation that Jesus Christ alone earned for us.
Imagine there is an ocean and is representative of sin. When we are in bondage to sin we are drowning in an ocean of sin. There is nothing that we can do to save ourselves since there is an undertow that is beyond our human capabilities to save us from impending death. We know that as long as we are in that ocean that there is nothing we can do to save ourselves. We are in need of a Saviour to pull us out of this ocean of sin. Jesus Christ is the one who can save us, so God throws us a life ring called the gospel. That life ring is our only hope. We can either choose to grab a hold of that life ring and be saved as Jesus then is able to pull us out of the ocean of sin, or we can choose to continue to drown in the ocean of sin and not grab a hold of the life ring. The life ring is the gospel and it includes our need to repent, get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. When we receive that message in faith, we are saved by the blood of Jesus. Jesus is the one who saves when we receive His free gift by faith. Obeying the gospel is not us earning our salvation but is us receiving the salvation that Jesus Christ alone earned for us. God gets all of the glory!
One needs to understand that baptism in its proper context of the gospel and faith saves us by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 3:21
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
When we get baptized into Jesus Christ we are baptized into His death by faith so that we can rise to walk in newness of life, experiencing the first resurrection which is a spiritual resurrection from being dead in trespasses and sins.
Romans 6:3-4
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
The blood of Jesus is applied to our lives when we repent and get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. This is why it is for the remission of sins. But again, only if someone first has personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
Hope this was helpful.

@@ShatteringFalseFoundations First brother, thank you so much for the time and effort and resources you used to best answer my question. Please correct if I'm wrong but, you sound like your oneness penticosal, that denies the Trinity, would I be correct. I was oneness for a while myself until the Lord opened my eyes that I can't work or earn my way into heaven. It's by Grace alone, by faith alone in Christ Jesus alone that saves us. Baptism is a public acknowledge that you have put your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation, and one should be baptized if it is possible for them to do so. The thief on the Cross was not baptized, or payed tithes, didn't speak in tongues, but Jesus said he would be in Paradise with him how do you reconcile a person on a ventilator on his deathbed that makes a profession of trusting in Jesus Christ by faith for his sins can he get up off his deathbed to go get baptized? So baptism is a public acknowledgment of your trust and faith in trusting in Jesus Christ for the remission of your sin, it is not a requirement to be saved Thank you
I provided you with the Word of God but all you did was provide me with your own thoughts in response? Do you genuinely want an answer to your questions? Or are you going to ignore the answers from God's Word and share more of your thoughts on these things passed down through tradition? I hear these types of responses all the time. Did you even take the time to read my entire comment? Of course someone can't earn their way into heaven. Jesus alone earned salvation for every man. What in the world gave you the impression that I believe we can earn our way into heaven? Do me a favour and please take time to actually read what I wrote.
Do you want me to jump to conclusions from what you wrote and act like you don't believe Jesus saves? You said "it's by grace alone by faith alone in Christ Jesus that saves us." You are then in essence saying that faith saves you and denying that Jesus saves! Do you think that is fair for me to jump to those conclusions based off of what you wrote? Of course not. But this is what you have done with what I wrote. I started off my comment with Jesus saves! Your comment doesn't even acknowledge this. Your comment implies that grace and ones personal faith in Jesus saves. You take the focus off of Jesus who saves and by making the statement above you would either be saying that all men will be saved (since His grace is for all men -Hebrews 2:9) or you would be saying that only those who have faith in Jesus would be saved. So you in essence would be saying the exact same thing I did and yet you label me someone who believes in a works based salvation. Faith is a requirement on man's part in order to receive the free gift of salvation. You can't get away from this fact from Scripture. Faith in Jesus Christ is a free will decision to reject or obey the gospel. (Refer to analogy in previous comment).
Let me break it down even more for you and everyone else reading these threads in order to understand the gospel. Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world and faith in the gospel is the means by which we can receive His free gift of salvation. God doesn't force salvation on mankind. He provides mankind with the opportunity to receive His free gift freely by faith in the gospel (not by works of the law). If you would have taken the time to read and consider what I wrote in my previous comment you would see the folly in your response. Your comment is typical of someone stuck in religious tradition just repeating what they have heard or been taught without actually taking the time to consider what God's Word actually says in its entirety.
So you used to believe you could work your way into heaven? I'm glad to hear you no longer believe that. You conclude that is what I believe and that is where I can tell you didn't take the time to read my previous comment and you don't understand the gospel the apostles preached. Let me ask you a simple question. Do you believe someone needs to repent in order to be saved? If so, then if someone repents would that mean they are earning their salvation? The answer is obvious; of course not. The same is true with regards to the entire gospel that one must obey. It's all done by faith. Repentance is an act of faith. Water baptism is an act of faith. Receiving the Holy Spirit is an act of faith. Those things are not "works of the law" like you mistakenly assume. They are God's requirements for us to prove to Him that we have true biblical faith in Jesus. Jesus is the one who saves! God is the one who does the work in saving us by His grace through our own personal faith in the gospel. How can one say that grabbing the life ring someone throws out to you to save you from drowning is you saving yourself? That's ludicrous! If you grab the life ring, you are receiving salvation by faith. Your grabbing of the life ring would not be a work to save yourself. If you think that way then you have been brainwashed by Calvinistic theology. Read Hebrews 11, the faith chapter. See for yourself what all of the great men of faith actually DID by faith. They didn't just believe in their minds. Faith without action is a dead faith. If you truly believe the gospel, then you will do what it says: repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38). Only after responding to the gospel in faith can it be said that someone has been born again. Paul wrote to the church in Rome, "But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you." - Romans 6:17.
Let's take a look at the thief on the cross in the Word of God. The thief on the cross died under the Old Covenant. Are you aware of this? Most people who make statements like yours are totally unaware of the context of Scripture as a whole and fail to recognize that the New Covenant had not yet been established at that point in time when Jesus told the thief on the cross that he would be with him that day in paradise. The thief on the cross could not have been baptized into Jesus Christ's death since Jesus had not yet died and resurrected from the dead. Also, the thief on the cross couldn't receive the Holy Spirit at that time because it had not yet been poured out because Jesus had not yet been glorified. You see, the New Covenant gospel message wasn't preached before the day of Pentecost in Acts 2. So nobody would have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ until after Jesus died, resurrected, and ascended into heaven. This means that everyone who died before the New Covenant gospel was preached would have died under the Old Covenant and God would have looked at their faith accordingly. Anyone in the transitionary period from Old to New Covenants who had opportunity to be baptized by John the Baptist and yet refused his baptism and died in that state would be lost. Anyone capable of being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ under the New Covenant who refuses or doesn't believe it's necessary will be judged accordingly.
John 7:38-39
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Romans 6:3-4
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Luke 24:46-47
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
The Word of God says that now is the day of salvation. Someone shouldn't wait until their deathbed to respond in faith to the gospel. For the very rare case that this truly happens when someone hears the gospel and truly repents and is filled with the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in other tongues and is wanting to get baptized as well but can't then that is where God will be the Judge who looks to the persons heart and willingness but won't hold someone accountable for something that they are not capable of doing. Again it is Jesus who saves in water baptism and He understands these unique situations. God is the Judge with these rare cases. But we should never make this the norm for how someone is born again according to Scripture.
There's not one Scripture to support your statement, "baptism is a public acknowledgment of your trust and faith in trusting in Jesus Christ for the remission of your sin, it is not a requirement to be saved." Let's look to see what the Bible says and stop going off of religious tradition. Our beliefs don't mean anything if not supported by Scripture.
Baptism is associated with salvation since it is part of the gospel.
Mark 16:15-16
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
1 Peter 3:20-21
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
We are all going to be judged by what is written in God's Word. It's clear for all to see how faith in the gospel is how we receive the free gift of salvation that Jesus Christ alone earned for everyone. Water baptism is part of the gospel, just like repentance and Spirit baptism. I'm not part of any denomination so you can't put me in a box like you are attempting to do. I don't agree with many doctrines "oneness pentecostal" groups believe.
You asked a death bed question so now I'd like you to answer a similar question. An infant who dies before arriving at the age where they are capable of repenting, where will they go when they die? I hope you take time to read and consider what I've written and I hope you read over my previous comment again as well. I await the answers to my questions.
Are we supposed to be baptized in the name of the jesus only? If so, should i be rebaptized? This year i chose to be baptized but I was told it was just a public decree of faith and that it was not necessary for salvation.
Hello Aaliyah, the Word of God reveals to us that baptism is to be done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We must call upon the name of Jesus in water baptism (Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16) in order to actually obey the command of Jesus to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The name of Jesus is the only name by which we are saved and it's the name we are to do all things in word or deed. We pray in the name of Jesus, we cast out devils in the name of Jesus, we see people healed in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus is powerful when we use it in faith after we have been born again.
If you were baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost and the name of Jesus was not invoked or called upon when you went under the water, then I believe you should get baptized again in the name of Jesus Christ. Water baptism is part of the gospel and it's something we must do in order to be born again. Many religious denominations are preaching a false gospel that remove water baptism from the born again/salvation experience. This is not what Jesus or the apostles taught. I have a video series on here that goes into detail on these things and should be watched from the beginning. It will help you to see why we must obey the gospel Jesus told the apostles to preach. Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38) if someone first truly repents and has personal faith in Jesus Christ and all that He did for their salvation.
Find a church or body of believers in your area that will baptize you in the name of Jesus and that believes water baptism is part of the gospel. If your church doesn't believe that water baptism is part of the gospel and that we shouldn't be baptized in the name of Jesus, then you may want to consider finding another body of believers to assemble with. I have connections all over the world of people that understand the gospel and live the gospel and can baptize you in the name of Jesus. If you are interested, just let me know and I can try and connect you with someone in your area. I hope this answered your question. God bless and keep you as you seek first the kingdom of God.
I forgot to include the link to the video series. It can be found at the following link. The videos should be watched in order. Blessings!

I wanted for my selfe to receive the holy spirit but also my friends where geting baptised too and members of the church were telling me to get baptised.. And that had an impact in my action... So.. This year.. Ends of 2019 till August 2020..i left god.. The devil deceived me and filled my mind with lies.. And i kinda rejected gid.. Was ashamed to tell friend i believed.. Ended up being depressed and being broken.. Drinking.. Some times smoking weed.. But god saved me and changed me in a youth camp i go every summer and from that day i understood what god has done for me and how much he loves me and i fully gave my life to him.. And my question is this.. Should i get baptised again because I've been feeling like i should.. I need your help :).. Im 16 now btw
Nobody should ever get baptized before hearing and understanding the full gospel that the apostles preached after Jesus ascended into heaven. Baptism is a command we must obey by faith only after we truly repent of our sins and have personal faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Water baptism should also be done in the name of Jesus Christ and not in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. One must also understand what it means to be saved from our sins and how one is actually born again according to the Word of God under the New Covenant.

God bless you in your studies and your desire to walk in obedience to the Lord.
I got baptized in around 1999-2000 and don't remember if it was in Jesus name or Father, Son, Holy Ghost and understand stood about repentance as a change of mind about sin without fully turning should I get rebaptized and is that a sign of crucifying Jesus again?
Hey Rob, thanks for taking the time to ask this question. It's a good question and an important one. If someone doesn't turn from their sins before they were baptized, then their baptism is not biblical and accomplishes nothing. One must repent before getting baptized in order for baptism to be biblical. It also should be done in the name of Jesus, as the apostles taught all throughout the book of Acts. The name of Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. There is only one baptism under the New Covenant and once you are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ after first repenting, you don't need to get baptized again, but need to continue living a life of repentance and looking to Jesus as your Saviour and mediator.
If you are wanting to study these things deeper regarding the gospel under the New Covenant and salvation, be sure to watch the following series of mine in order, as I break things down to help people understand the simplicity and beauty of the gospel under the New Covenant. Be sure to let me know if you have any more questions on the subject and if you feel the Lord speaking to you to get re-baptized, be sure to reach out and I can try and connect you with another believer in your area that can baptize you in the name of Jesus. God bless you in your studies!

Since me and my boyfriend want to be rebaptized (we were both just babies) can we just baptize each other in a bath tub?
The biblical model for us to follow is for someone who has already been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Spirit to baptize you. This is important for many reasons. Have either of you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? If you can't find another born again believer in your area who will baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ, be sure to let me know and I should be able to connect you with someone in your area who can baptize you and pray with you to receive the Holy Spirit if you haven't already. Be sure to watch my gospel and water baptism series for a more in depth study on these important truths. It's important to know what the Word of God says about baptism because it is so much more than an outward expression of an inward work. According to the Word of God, water baptism is for the remission of sins after someone repents and has faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
God bless you both in your studies and in your obedience to the gospel to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and receiving the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

In the other comment when you said don’t let it consume your life do you mean a heart/mind issue or amount of time the prolbem right now is that I’m forced to play and it takes a lot of time during the practices I just want to please God
It’s a heart/mind issue. God knows your heart. Don’t let it become an idol in your life. If it takes up a lot of your time, be sure to not let it affect the time you dedicate to the Lord for reading His Word, prayer, fellowship, etc. Be sure to talk to the Lord about it and tell Him how you feel about it and ask Him to reveal to you anything that you should be aware of and change. Maybe he wants to use you to be a witness to the people in the sport you are playing. You just want to know you are in God’s will and allow Him to use you in whatever endeavour He has you pursue. Walk by faith and not by sight. God bless and keep you. Rest in Jesus!
I was baptist when i was 12...after that i continue going to church nurtured by my mother in a christian way of life...but it came to.my life a so called backsliding ang mingled in a worldly sins..and now God found me again ang called me in His fold..and i repent truely to Him..do i need still a rebaptism..thank you..
That's an important question to ask. The short answer would be yes, you should get rebaptized. But you should first come to a full biblical understanding of water baptism accomplishes as we read in God's Word and that we should be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and not the titles Father, Son, and Spirit. There is power in the name of Jesus and that's how everyone was baptized in the Book of Acts (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; 10:48; Acts 19:5). I have done a gospel series and a water baptism series that opens up a full understanding of the gospel and the importance of knowing who Jesus is and true repentance taking place before getting baptized in order for baptism to be for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). If interested, you can watch my video series below and you can ask questions as you follow along in the series:

I pray you come to an understanding from God's Word of what you should do and why. God bless you in your studies!
Hi Sir! Greetings! Could you elaborate why we should be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ alone and not in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as have been commanded in Matthew 28:19? Thank you a lot!
Greetings! That's a very important question. I have done an entire video series on the gospel and one specifically on water baptism as well that can be found at the following links:
th-cam.com/play/PLo_7oh9llbNZAqbRChaNccCdByN3i_E-e.html
th-cam.com/play/PLo_7oh9llbNZ2GrHzabwK-uXkKwf64Hgk.html
So be sure to check out those video series for an in depth explanation on why we should be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. But to briefly answer your question, we are to be baptized in the "name" of Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ is the singular name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost and we actually obey the command found in Matthew 28:19 by getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ as we read about in Acts 2:38. We see all throughout the book of Acts that commands were given to Jews, the people of Samaria, and Gentiles to be baptized in the name of Jesus (Acts 8:16; 10:48; 19:5). The apostles understood that the name of Jesus was the name of the One True God who has revealed Himself to mankind as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
The name of Jesus Christ is the name above all names and the only name by which we are saved (Philippians 2:9; Acts 4:12). Father is not a name. Son is not a name. Holy Ghost is not a name. These are all titles that belong to the One True God, but the singular name above all names that reveals God in His entirety is Jesus. The name of Jesus means "Yahweh our Salvation." We are also told to do all things in word or deed in the name of Jesus (Colossians 3:17).
If we can see that Jesus commanded the apostles to do the same thing that we read about in Matthew 28:19 in the gospel account of Luke, we learn a very powerful revelation about the name of Jesus and how we receive remission of sins by repenting and getting baptized in the name of Jesus, calling upon the name of Jesus (not just invoking the titles of His name). This can be understood with regards to praying and casting out devils. Nobody would ever pray in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and expect there to be power to heal. There is power in the name of Jesus which is why we pray by invoking the name of Jesus. Same is true with casting out devils, we cast out devils by invoking the name of Jesus.
Luke 24:46-49
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
In Luke's account of the great commission we see that Jesus commanded them to preach repentance and remission of sins in "his name." The subject from verse 46 is Jesus Christ, so we know that the name that He was referring to was Jesus. The apostles do exactly what Jesus commanded after Jesus ascended into heaven by waiting in Jerusalem until they were filled with the Holy Ghost (endued with power from on high) on the day of Pentecost as we read about in Acts 2. Peter then stands up and does exactly what Jesus told the apostles to do and preaches repentance and remission of sins in the name of Jesus for the first time.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Notice how the apostle Peter understood by inspiration of the Holy Ghost that one receives remission of sins by first repenting and then getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Even the apostle Paul was commanded to be baptized to wash away his sins while calling on the name of the Lord.
Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
This lines up fully with Mark's account of the great commission in Mark 16:15-16 where Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, he that believeth not shall be damned."
One must first truly believe in Jesus by repenting before getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in order to receive remission of sins and be saved. There is salvation in no other name.
We can also see the apostle Paul confirm the understanding that when we are baptized we are baptized into the death of Jesus Christ so that we can rise to walk in newness of life, having put on Christ in water baptism where we receive the circumcision of our hearts and the remission of our sins (Galatians 3:27; Romans 6; Colossians 2:8-12; Acts 2:38). So much more could be said, but I pray the Lord has used this to cause you to want to study these things further. If you feel led to watch my video series, please feel free to comment and ask questions as you go through the series. God bless you in your continued studies and seeking of the truth.
For my understanding according to the Scripture. Jesus Christ is the King , and until now He is alive and sitting on the throne at the right hand of God. He is the only person who have a name that is above every name. In His name everyone shall bow down. Very powerful. And only Jesus Christ is the only Way, the Truth and the Life. No one Comes to the Father except through Him. And "For God so loved the world that He gave His Son Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (will be saved if you believe in Jesus). Before we will get baptized, we should believe and have faith in Jesus Christ and we should have a true repentant heart. Truly repenting to our sins... Turning away from 180 degrees. Only Jesus Christ is able to save us from eternal death because he was the only One who gave his life for us, He is the only One who died for our sins or for the sins of mankind. He died so we may have eternal life with Him in heaven. No one else but Jesus Christ. God the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit they are One...
I got baptized in August I was serious about Jesus got baptized in Jesus name but I was still in sport and I’m trying to quit I’m forced to play sport do you think my baptism was valid even though sport may not be a sin I found a video condemning it and I’m trying to quit but I’m forced time is short and I just want to make sure I’m right with the lord Jesus is coming soon
If by sport you mean baseball, football, tennis, hockey, etc... and you enjoy playing "sport" but don't let it consume your life or be something you worship by giving your heart to it, then yes your baptism was valid. There is nothing wrong with enjoying sports. As long as you truly repented of your sins and turned to Jesus to save you from your sins by getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and had faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, then your baptism was valid and it was for the remission of sins. Have you received the Holy Spirit since you were baptized? Do we have to get baptised again if you were baptised as an infant
Infant baptism is unbiblical for many reasons. An infant has not done anything to transgress God's law and so an infant is innocent in God's eyes. The false doctrine that man is born a sinner is not true when we study God's Word.
One needs to understand the gospel before getting baptized. Infant baptism is not biblical because one must first believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and have personal faith in all that He did to atone for our sins through His death, burial, and resurrection. One must also repent and turn from their sins completely before getting baptized in order for baptism to be for the remission of sins. We must also get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and not in the titles Father, Son, and Spirit because there is no power in the titles but there is power in the name of Jesus (Acts 4:10-12). An infant can't believe, have faith, or repent before getting baptized and so infants should not be baptized. If this is new to you and you have never heard how we are called to obey the gospel and be born again, be sure to check out my entire video series that I've done on the gospel the apostles preached under the New Covenant as found in the Word of God:

Let me know if you have any other questions. God bless you in your studies!
I got baptized at 17 but when they baptized me they baptized me in the father, son, and the Holy Ghost we are a non denominational church and I didn’t really fully understand what repentance meant and I didn’t confess with my mouth anything all I said was “yea” when they asked me if I believed Jesus died for my sins. I only knew the story of how he died on the cross like the story everyone should know but I was expecting more than what happened and plus I was nervous so I was like ok.. I guess this is it but I didn’t know how to continue my faith in him or anything nobody told me but I guess I had to ask someone myself?
Hey Alexsis, I'm so sorry for the late reply. I've been away visiting family. Now to answer your question. If you didn't understand repentance before you got baptized, then your baptism is not a valid baptism and didn't accomplish anything. We must have faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and truly repent before we are baptized in order for baptism to be for the remission of sins. It's important to get baptized in the name of Jesus because that's the only name by which we are saved and it's how the apostles obeyed the command of Jesus when He told them to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. They didn't repeat those titles when they baptized people, but instead obeyed that command by baptizing in the actual name of Jesus. The name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus. Just in case you are interested in further study on the gospel and how we obey it, you may find the following video series of mine very helpful. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Is there someone in North Dallas that could baptize me in the name of Jesus Christ??
Most definitely! I can connect with a ministry that I know about in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and get back with you. Do you mind giving me your email or phone number so I can have them connect with you? If you don't want to share it in this comments feed, you can email me.
Is your name Jordan? and may I ask how old you are and your reason for wanting to get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ? Have you been baptized before in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? Hope to hear from you soon and I should be able to get someone to contact you in a timely manner. I'm excited for you in your decision to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. You just need to understand the full gospel and your need to be born again. Not according to traditions of men in religious institutions, but according to the truth of God’s Word. I was in a similar place as you thinking that I was saved because I believed in Jesus but still being in bondage to sin. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe. To believe the gospel is to obey the gospel. I recognized in my mid twenties that I had been told I was saved but the Word of God said that we must be born again of the water and the Spirit in order to enter the kingdom of God. After coming to understand the full gospel and my need to truly repent, get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, I obeyed from the heart and was totally set free and transformed by the power of God. Would you be willing to talk over the phone about a few things before I connect you with someone in your area?
In the meantime, if you have time to watch my gospel series along with my water baptism series, I think it would help you tremendously before you get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. You need to understand what baptism accomplishes and have faith in the operation of God that takes place when you do it in faith after truly repenting of your sins. I’ll post the links below and then I’ll wait to hear back from you regarding your willingness to talk over the phone. A video of my personal testimony is in the gospel playlist.

What denomination did you get "anointing oil" placed on your head? Everyone needs to be born again according to Scripture in order to enter the kingdom of God. Water baptism is part of the gospel and it is to be done in the name of Jesus Christ. @@ShatteringFalseFoundations I know that the actual baptism doesnt save you. I have repented. I have confessed my sins. I got a water baptism at the Church Of Christ this past Sunday.
@@johnwesner Jesus is the one who saves you when you are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by faith. Remission of sins takes place in water baptism according to Scripture only after someone first repents and believes on Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Water baptism saves us by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are baptized into His death so we can rise to walk in newness of life.
Acts 2:38 KJVS
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
1 Peter 3:18-21 KJVS
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: [19] By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; [20] Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. [21] The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Romans 6:3-6 KJVS
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. [5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: [6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
After a difficult time someone ended up renouncing their adult water baptism...
What if someone renounced the water baptism they had... can they 'start over' with God?
Did they get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ or did they get baptized in the name of the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? This is what matters most. If someone renounced their first baptism in the titles they would need to repent and get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
Acts 2:38 KJVS
[38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
If they renounced their baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, then they would need to truly repent and would be forgiven. But my main question would be whether or not they had received the Holy Spirit since they believed. Many sincere believers aren’t aware that one doesn’t automatically receive the Holy Spirit when they believe. It’s a powerful experience that most often happens after someone truly repents and gets baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by faith, understanding who Jesus truly is, God the Father (Yahweh) incarnate. We can see a perfect example of this in the book of Acts.
Acts 19:1-6 KJVS
[1] And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, [2] He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. [3] And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. [4] Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. [5] When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. [6] And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
So the answer to your question is yes they can start over, but how they start over is different depending on their situation. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions. My gospel series might also be of help to this person that can be watched here:

Hi, I was baptised when I was still a scammer at the age of 21, now I know what true repentance is can I still be re-baptised?
If you didn't truly repent and actually turn from your sins at the age of 21 before you were baptized, then you must get baptized again after truly repenting of your sins and turning to Jesus as your Savior. You should find someone in your area who can baptize you in the name of Jesus and not in the titles of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The name of Jesus must be invoked and called upon in water baptism and it should be done by full immersion under water. They can also pray with you for the baptism of the Holy Spirit if you haven't already been baptized with the Holy Spirit. God bless you as you walk in obedience to God's Word and let me know if you need help finding someone in your area who will baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ (the name above all names and the only name by which we are saved).
I got baptized twice,,,, first one was just a sprinkle so I don't think it's the correct way of baptist and the secondly my dad forcefully baptized me when I was just 16 years old I didn't even knew the meaning of baptism an I did lots of sinful deeds in my life💔so should I repent or should I re-baptist thrice I'm confused??????
Hello there. There is only one biblical baptism according to the Word of God and that is when we get baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins after we first truly repent and have personal faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Your first baptism was done by sprinkling which isn't a biblical baptism because it needs to be done by full immersion. Even if you were baptized the first time by full immersion, if you never repented before being baptized, then all you did was get wet. Repentance MUST take place before water baptism in order for water baptism to be for the remission of sins. Your second baptism when you were 16 years old was also not a valid baptism because your dad forcefully baptized you and it doesn't sound like you repented before he baptized you. One must have personal faith in Jesus Christ before getting baptized. Your dad's faith doesn't count as your faith.
This is all good to understand because now you seem like you are in a place where you understand the gospel better and you can walk in obedience to the gospel the biblical way. You must first truly repent and turn from your sins and sinful lifestyle. Recognize that repentance is a turning away from a life of sin and a turning towards Jesus who died to save you from your sins and give you power to live a life of victory above sin. After repenting, you then must walk in obedience to the rest of the gospel and get baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, where you die with Christ and resurrect with Christ (spiritually speaking) a new creation in Him. He will then give you the gift of the Holy Spirit.
So in God's eyes, your first two baptisms aren't even considered baptisms. There is only one baptism and that is the New Covenant baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins (Acts 2:38). If you have any more questions, please ask. If you would like me to connect you with people in your area that will baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and pray with you to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, please let me know and I may be able to connect you with other believers in your area. God bless and keep you!

Hey sir. I baptised last month. I knew jesus I dumped in water and baptised after believing jesus. But after 1-2 days my main old problem masturbation is overtook me. I pray and stay with jesus to forgive my sin of masturbation and heal me. I don't use any porn videos. Days before I baptised, I delete all porn clips from my computer and mobile. But I unable to delete it out from heart. Sir is there any cure for this?
One must truly repent and turn from their sins before getting baptized. We must believe from the heart the gospel the apostles preached: repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins and we shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38). We must call upon the name of Jesus in water baptism (Acts 22:16). If you were baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, then you never called upon the name of Jesus in baptism and should get rebaptized by invoking the name of Jesus. Water baptism is for the remission of sins and washes them all away. We must then receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. Only after having our sins washed away and the Holy Spirit fill us, will we be able to live a life of freedom and victory above sin. If you need me to connect you with a body of believers in your area who can baptize you in the name of Jesus and pray with you to receive the Holy Ghost, just let me know, as I am connected with believers all over the world. Only God can clean your mind and renew it with His Word. It can't be done through self effort, but needs to be done supernaturally by the Lord. He will give you a new heart when you obey the gospel and look to Him through all temptation. I hope this answers your question. God bless you in your decision. You may find this video series of mine very helpful in coming to a full understanding of the gospel the apostles preached and how we obey it in order to be saved (born again).

Should someone who has been baptised in a Sunday church seek baptism after beginning worship in a Sabbath church
The day of the week in which born again believers assemble together as the Body of Christ or when someone gets baptized is of no significance. Jesus is our eternal Sabbath in whom we rest every day from dead works. The important question we must ask about water baptism, is whether or not we had personal faith in Jesus Christ and had truly repented before being baptized. Also baptism should be done in the name of Jesus Christ, calling upon the name of Jesus as the book of Acts shows happened when both Jews and Gentiles were baptized. Getting baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is not actually obeying the command but repeating the command. To obey that command in Matthew 28 we must get baptized in the name of Jesus.
no
you are the walking church. they are simply the congregation
There is no indication that Apollos was baptized again--important action. He had already been baptized but he didn't have the full story. This did not mean he did not have the Spirit. That was a gift of God. The Ephesians were baptized w/Johns baptism after the death of Christ and so it was inadequate and they failed to receive the Spirit. That is how Paul understood their deficiency. Today if someone is immersed in the name of Christ in obedience to God, there is no reason to be baptized again.
I agree with you that if someone understands the gospel and truly repents and is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ that there is no reason to be baptized again. There is only one New Covenant baptism according to Scripture (Ephesians 4:5). Spirit baptism and water baptism are two different baptisms that must agree together in one born again experience. In Acts 10 Gentiles were baptized with the Holy Spirit before being baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ. In Acts 8, there were those who were baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ who had not yet been baptized with the Holy Spirit. Water and Spirit baptism are two completely different baptisms that agree together. One must be born again of the water and the Spirit in order to enter the kingdom of God (John 3:3-5).
Now with regards to Apollos not being rebaptized, I strongly disagree with your conclusion based upon what the New Testament reveals to us. There is only one New Covenant baptism and that is a baptism into the death of Jesus Christ (Romans 6). John's baptism was only unto repentance and it pointed to Jesus Christ, but it wasn't the New Covenant baptism that the Scriptures talk about. John only prepared the way to Jesus Christ. All Jews who had been baptized unto John's baptism needed to be rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). John the baptist died before Jesus died so there is no way someone could have been baptized by John after Jesus died. Apollos only knew the baptism of John in Acts 18 when Aquila and Priscilla preached the full gospel to him (the way more perfectly). Just because Scripture is silent about him actually getting rebaptized doesn't mean he didn't. That's where we need to rightly divide the word of truth and turn to the rest of Scripture as a whole. Once someone understands that New Covenant baptism is a baptism into the death of Jesus Christ where we take part in the first resurrection (the resurrection of Jesus - Romans 6), then we can understand why Apollos would have been rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ just like everyone else (both Jew and Gentile). Hearing the full story would not have turned John's baptism into the baptism of Jesus. We must call upon the name of Jesus in order to be saved as in Acts 22:16 when Paul was commanded to be baptized in order to see his sins washed away while calling on the name of Jesus. Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is crucial in order to truly be born again under the New Covenant.
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations I'm just sharing my opinion and thoughts on this subject which has evolved through the years, to a point I believe to be more faithful to the text. The one baptism is being born from above, water and spirit. Jesus' ministry was to be characterized by baptism in the Spirit (Matt 3:11). There is no reason to believe baptism in the Spirit required speaking in tongues or any other spiritual magnification. It was another way to speak about regeneration in the Spirit (Titus 3:5-7; 1 Cor 12:13; cf Ezekiel 36:25-27). Secondly, there was no reason to believe the 120 were baptized again; they would have been baptized already since that was very characteristic of the ministry of the disciples of Jesus (John 4:1-2). The same with Apollos, his teaching was aberrant buy there was no reason from the text to conclude did not understand the Lord or have the Spirit, since the Spirit arrive on Pentecost and indwelt believers.
When we look at the Word of God as a whole, I believe there are many reasons why we should believe the sign someone is truly filled with the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. For starters, in Acts 8, we see Philip preach the gospel to the people of Samaria and Simon the Sorcerer. Those who heard the gospel then believed and were baptized, including Simon the sorcerer. This is where most people would stop and assume that they were also filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:15 reveals that Peter and John who were sent to them knew that they hadn't received the Holy Ghost. This wouldn't be possible if there wasn't a sign that they were looking for. Acts 8:16 confirms this fact that they had not received the Holy Spirit yet, even though they had been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. We can learn in Acts 8:17 that when the apostles laid their hands on them, they received the Holy Spirit. Now it doesn't say they spoke in other tongues, but we know from Acts 10:45-46 that the sign the Gentiles had been filled with the Holy Ghost was speaking in other tongues. By reading Acts 8:18-19 we can then discern that the reason Simon offered the apostles money to have the power to lay hands on someone and have them receive the Holy Spirit that he must have witnessed something very powerful. If nothing supernatural happened, then why would Simon offer them money? By comparing Scripture with Scripture we can conclude that he witnessed them speaking in other tongues just like on the day of Pentecost. I've done other videos on the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in other tongues and why speaking in other tongues is for every single born again believer and how one needs to understand the difference between the gift of speaking in tongues/the gift of the interpretation of tongues for the edification of the church (1 Corinthians 14) and speaking in tongues after one is filled with the Holy Spirit. Those videos can be watched here if interested:

Given what the entire New Testament as a whole presents to us about water baptism, there is equally no reason to not believe that the 120 were rebaptized into the death of Jesus Christ through New Covenant baptism. John's baptism was not the New Covenant baptism. The 120 were not the apostles. The apostles made up the foundation of the church along with the prophets with Jesus Christ being the Chief Cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20). The 120 needed to be baptized into the death of Jesus Christ in order to be lively stones placed upon the foundation of the church (1 Peter 2:5).
There is also no reason to look at the disciples of John the baptist in Acts 19 and conclude that they were any different than the situation with Apollos. Apollos and the men in Acts 19 only knew the baptism of John (Acts 18:25, Acts 19:3). The Word of God brings out the important point that Apollos only knew the baptism of John. If the baptism of John was valid under the New Covenant, then why did the Word of God bring out this point? We can conclude through the rest of Scripture that since he only knew the baptism of John, just like the men in Acts 19 who only knew the baptism of John, that Apollos was rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ since that was the only baptism under the New Covenant.
With all that being said, there is no reason for anyone today to deny baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins under the New Covenant. There is also no reason for someone to believe that speaking in tongues is not for everyone today since 1 Corinthians 14 makes it clear that when we pray in tongues (in the Spirit) it brings us individual edification. I understand where people are coming from with regards to being against tongues since I used to believe that tongues were not for today and I even went as far as saying that they were of the devil. I am not ignorant of the charismatic movement where there are such things as "false tongues" since the devil always try to attack and manipulate anything good. But thankfully I heard the full gospel preached and the Word of God pricked by heart and I could see that I needed to be born again even though I had been a believer in Jesus all of my life. I then got baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and was filled with the Holy Ghost after coming up out of the water and began speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance. Until I repented of my wrong understanding and false thoughts regarding tongues, I couldn't be filled. I testify that tongues are still the sign someone has been filled with the Holy Spirit and are still for today and praying in tongues is for our own personal edification and is so powerful. Anyway, I pray these things speak to you in some way. God bless you in your continued studies and seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations Thank you for your kind response and link to your other videos on similar teaching. I have a few comments to add to your observations. I too have studied this subject for many years and have adjusted my teaching to what I have discovered. Some things I have learned that may be of help: 1. In the NT not all new believers spoke in tongues, it usually happens in connection with the arrival of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost or some unique need like the movement of the gospel to new people groups (Samaritans, Acts 8; Gentiles 10-11). 2. Paul directed stated that "not all speak in tongues" (1 Cor 12:30). The Spirit gave some in his purpose the gift of tongues but not all (see 1 Cor 12:11). 3. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit was not given, to mainly bestow sign gifts of the Spirit. They happen early on but only with a purpose to endorse the new age movement as it spread through the different people groups. They also were given in the early church for edification and confirmation of the message give (1 Cor 12:11ff; 1 Cor 14). 4. I see that many underestimate the efficacy of God's baptism. It was for the forgiveness of sin. Christian baptism and John's baptism were different in the salvific timeline and not forgiveness by the blood of Christ. 5. Those who have been baptized before the death of Christ would have been saved by the blood, but they only needed the regenerating Holy Spirit (that fell on Pentecost) to fulfill the salvific event (Acts 2:1-4). 6. The deficiency with the Ephesian disciples was not receiving the Spirit because they had received John's baptism after the death and exaltation of Christ. Thanks for your consideration! This will be my last response!
@@darrellclark2248 In the New Testament, just because every single instance of someone responding to the gospel doesn't list them as speaking in tongues or as getting baptized doesn't mean they weren't. The New Testament reveals that unless someone repents they will perish. But there are numerous instances that show someone believing the gospel without it mentioning that they repented of their sins. Does that mean that not everyone needs to repent? Of course not since we look to the entirety of Scripture to establish our doctrine. Tongues still exist today and so attributing tongues to Pentecost alone is pointless. You'll never convince someone who has genuinely been baptized with the Holy Ghost and spoken in other tongues as the Spirit of God moved upon them that tongues aren't for today.
If you were open to hearing my points on 1 Corinthians 12 and 14 regarding tongues and what the context is regarding everyone not speaking in tongues, then you would understand why 1 Corinthians 12 should not be used to speak against tongues being a sign for all who receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Nowhere in the Word of God do we read about the gifts of the Spirit ever ceasing once we entered a "New Age" as you say. The New Covenant of the early church is the same Covenant that born again believers are part of today. The kingdom of God arrived back in the first century and it's leavening effect in the earth has taken place ever since. When Jesus (that which is perfect) comes, then the gifts will be done away. Until then, all born again believers have power to cast out demons, heal the sick, and speak in new tongues through the power that only comes in Jesus Christ and by the Spirit.
Again, anyone who was alive after the resurrection of Jesus, other than the apostles who made up the foundation of the church, needed to be baptized into the death of Jesus Christ in order to be saved under the New Covenant.
What about the thief on the cross?
That's a good question that many people jump to the wrong conclusions about because of a lack of understanding on what the entirety of Scripture declares. One first needs to understand that the thief on the cross died under the Old Covenant. The thief on the cross could not get baptized into Jesus Christ under the New Covenant because Jesus Christ had not yet died and resurrected from the dead and the gospel under the New Covenant had not yet been preached. I've done a video all about this important point that needs to be understood:
th-cam.com/video/Xa4Dbx3YrnE/w-d-xo.html
The apostles began preaching the gospel under the New Covenant for the very first time after Jesus resurrected from the dead and walked with them for 40 days and ascended into heaven. They waited in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit that was poured out 10 days after Jesus ascended and told them to begin to preach the New Covenant gospel message beginning in Jerusalem. On the day of Pentecost, after the apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit, the apostle Peter stood up and declared how we obey the gospel under the New Covenant for the very first time as we read in Acts 2:38.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
True biblical faith in the gospel means that we will walk in faithful obedience to what the gospel is telling us to do. Getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ is getting baptized into the death of Jesus Christ so that we can rise to walk in newness of life, just like Paul explains in Romans 6. If one lets go of preconceived ideas they have been taught about the gospel in modern times and "faith alone," they will come to see that water baptism is an act of faith where God does a work on our heart and cleanses us from sin. Colossians 2:9-15 explains the invisible work that God does (an operation of God made without hands) when we get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by faith. I know many people are taught that water baptism is an outward sign of an inward work, but the Bible as a whole and when rightly divided doesn't support that belief. The gospel under the New Covenant requires us to be born again of the water and the Spirit (John 3:3-5). This is not referring to being born from our mother's womb as some people have taught. It's referring to water baptism under the New Covenant and Spirit baptism just like Peter declared in Acts 2:38. If you're a studier of God's Word and aren't holding to a particular denomination and it's traditions, I encourage you to consider what I present in my gospel series on these important points. I go into great depth on the gospel, obedience to the gospel, faith, grace, water baptism, Spirit baptism, etc.... I also deal with the common misconceptions regarding water baptism and Spirit baptism.

I love how you explain the things of the Lord so humbly and faithful.
If someone is in the hospital and could not be water baptized can they still be saved?
Nobody should ever wait until their death bed in order to be saved. We shouldn't put off salvation if we are given opportunity before something happens to us that puts us in the hospital.
2 Corinthians 6:2
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
God is powerful to heal and will make a way when there is no way. That's the God of the Bible. I don't believe God will allow someone to be lost who's truly repented and who's heart desires to get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Anyone can call out to Jesus Christ, their God and Saviour at any time, confessing their sins to Him and turning to Him in true repentance and with a true heart forsaking their sins and cling to Him for salvation. I strongly believe that God will provide a way for someone who's heart desires to walk in obedience to the gospel and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins. I know there are born again believers all over the world in every single country that are willing to travel to those in need of being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, even while in the hospital. Born again believers would pray for healing from whatever is wrong so that the individual can get baptized.
When someone is not physically capable of getting baptized for whatever reason (handicap), then God will look at the heart of the person that walks in obedience with regards to their capability. This would mean the person should do everything in their power to get baptized by full immersion, whether that means going mostly under the water or having water poured over them. God is looking for their faith and where their heart is in obeying the gospel. This is only my personal belief and opinion and it should in no way be considered as God's Word. Ultimately God will be the Judge of where someone spends eternity. Someone who is capable of being baptized by full immersion must! It’s all about faithful obedience and I feel God will look at the heart in unique situations. If someone dies without ever having had the opportunity to get baptized, yet they truly repented and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, then I believe God will judge righteously and mercifully. But if we have an opportunity and are able to get baptized and don't do it, we will be judged according to God's Word that speaks loudly to the importance of water baptism where we are baptized into the death of Jesus Christ and are resurrected to a new life in Him (Romans 6, Galatians 3:26-27). We should never delay walking in obedience to the gospel because we are not promised tomorrow and tomorrow may never come. Now is the day of salvation!
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations well not everybody hears the gospel before something happens, if you were to go to the hospital today and talk to somebody about the gospel but they could not get out of the bed can they be saved is the question?
@@mauricewilsondaddybob1307 I pretty much answered that in my previous comment if you read through it again. If the gospel be hid (vailed) it is hid to them that are lost. They can still hear the gospel and respond to the gospel by faith. God can heal them and provide a way for them to get baptized if they are genuinely repentant and truly understand and have faith in the gospel. Again, if for whatever reason they are unable to ever get baptized before they die, but were repentant and filled with the Holy Spirit, then I believe God will judge accordingly. I don't think God will judge someone for something they were never capable of doing. But I am not the judge of where someone spends eternity. God will judge us all based on what is written in "the books" (the 66 books of the Bible).
Revelation 20:12
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the were opened: and another was opened, which is the of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the , according to their works.
Who can baptize me
Can the apostolic or evangelical church in my area baptize me?
Where do you live? Anyone who has obeyed and teaches the gospel the apostles preached (Acts 2:38) can baptize you. Just make sure they baptize you in the name of Jesus, calling upon the name of Jesus. It's important to understand that you must have faith (believe from the heart) in Jesus Christ and all that He did for you through His death, burial, and resurrection. You then must truly repent and turn from your sins and turn towards Jesus before getting baptized. Only after you have faith and repent will baptism be for the remission of sins. You are then promised to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. I may be able to connect you with other believers in your area if you need help finding someone to baptize you. God bless you as you walk in obedience to the commands of Jesus and His apostles.
So I was baptized in Jesus Name in 2016 (I was 11). I repented and received the Holy Ghost in 2018. A little after I received the Holy Ghost, I fell into a few sins. And after I knew I was doing wrong and sinning, I kept doing it anyway. I’m out of it now, but I’d like to know should I be rebaptized?
Hey, thanks for taking the time to ask this important question. If you understood who Jesus was as your Saviour (God manifest in the flesh) and by faith repented and got baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (and not the titles Father, Son, and Spirit) then your baptism was biblical and there is no need to get rebaptized.
Did you repent (change your mind about serving sin) before getting baptized, acknowledging that you were a sinner in need of Jesus, your Saviour?
Did you speak in other tongues when you were filled with the Holy Ghost?
If you truly repented before getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, then you don't need to get rebaptized. You would just need to truly repent of your sins and turn to Jesus for His grace to have victory over those sins. You may need some discipleship regarding how we are to walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. May I ask what church you are a part of? It's important to be around other born again believers for support and encouragement. Rest in Jesus Christ and continue to abide in Him so that you don't fulfill the desires of the flesh. Understand that you are forgiven because of the blood of Jesus when you truly repent. Keep on walking by faith. I will be able to answer more thoroughly and certainly once I receive your answers to the questions above. God bless and keep you.
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations I was baptized before I repented and received the Holy Ghost. I am now trying to live the best life I can for Jesus.
I am apart of The Bible Way Church in Jesus Name. Located in Raven, VA. We are having a baptizing after service tonight and that’s why I was wondering if I should be baptized or not. Thank you!
@@TheMJGChannel If you didn't repent before your baptism, then I would encourage you to get baptized again because one must first repent before getting baptized in order for baptism to be for the remission of sins. If you get baptized again by faith after truly repenting, your sins will be washed away by the blood of Jesus and these sins you have been struggling with will not be able to bring you back into bondage again. But you must have faith and believe. Understand what takes place when you are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Believe it and walk by faith. Hope this was helpful. God bless. Let me know what you end up doing.
Also, don't try your best to live for Jesus. Your best will never be good enough. Learn to depend fully on the Spirit to lead you and enable you to live victoriously. Nothing but the blood of Jesus makes you good enough. Rest in Jesus Christ, knowing that you are loved and complete in Him. Striving after the Spirit and by the Spirit.
Colossians 1:29
Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
@@ShatteringFalseFoundations Hello sir, as Jesus died and resurrected one time, we are to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins only once or we make our Lord an open shame according to Hebrews 6:1-6, the doctrine of Christ. I am not a teacher of the word of God, but thought it be needful to share this with you. All we must do when we fall short is repent and continue in the word of God, by the grace of God, obey it.
@@graftedinthruYahusha That is only true if someone’s first baptism was valid. By that I mean it was done in faith after someone truly repented of their sins. If someone gets baptized without true repentance then all they did was get wet. There are a lot of people that don’t get baptized in faith and, therefore, their baptism is invalid and they would need to be baptized again with faith and true repentance. Do you understand the difference? Jesus said in Mark 16:16, “he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved…” Without true faith, baptism accomplishes nothing. But I agree that if someone was baptized correctly in the name of Jesus Christ and that they did it after truly repenting, then they never need to be baptized again and if they sin they would need to repent.
When we repent and believe and put our faith and trust in Jesus is what saves us and puts us IN CHRIST, baptism is an outward expression of an inward change, baptism is not necessary for salvation, and when we are in Christ we are sealed until the day of redemption, you cannot lose salvation
This is what you have been taught by man's tradition, but it is not taught in Scripture. Where is the Scripture that says we put on Christ when we believe in Jesus? Where is the Scripture that says baptism is an outward expression of an inward change and that baptism is not necessary for salvation? Nowhere!
Here is what the Word of God tells us:
John 3:3-5
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God.
To be born again is to be born of the water and the Spirit. We are born of the water when we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and we are born with the Spirit when we are baptized with the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Galatians 3:27-29
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
This verse is very clear in saying that we put on Christ when we are baptized.
Romans 6:3-6
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
When we get baptized in water, our old man is crucified and we put on the new man, Jesus Christ.
Colossians 2:8-14
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, where in also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
We are buried with Jesus in baptism and rise a new creation having put on Jesus Christ. We take part in the first resurrection (Revelation 20:6) when we are baptized into Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 3:18-21
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 2Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Baptism into Jesus Christ saves us by the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
This verse in Mark does not say what you want it to say. It includes baptism with belief for salvation. It doesn't read, "he that believeth and is saved shall be baptized." We must first believe and have faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ before we get baptized or else all we do is get wet. Baptism is only for the remission of sins when someone first truly repents and has faith in Jesus Christ.
There's too much to be said with regards to the errors of Calvinism, but once saved always saved is unscriptural due to the numerous Scriptures that talk about those who would fall away from the faith. We can fall away from the faith and we can lose our salvation. This is why it says we are to overcome until the end, taking up our crosses and denying our self life. Matthew 7 contains a powerful example of people who believed in Jesus as their Lord and weren't saved. They were workers of iniquity. Believing in Jesus does not remove our sins. The devils believe and tremble. The heavens declares the glory of God. The Bible tells us that under the New Covenant we receive remission of sins when we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ - by calling upon the name of the Lord (Luke 24:46-47, Acts 2:38)
Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Paul's sins were washed away in water baptism.
I could list more, but this should be more than sufficient to anyone who allows the Word of God to speak over man-made tradition and religion. God wants a relationship with us, and it doesn't come through false religions and false gospels. Acts 2:38 is the gospel we must obey today in order to be born again and enter the Kingdom of God. God bless you as you continue to study God's Word and grow in the knowledge of the truth.
