great tutorial thanks friend you precise with short talking and not confusing us beginners like most people do even that they helping and i really appreciate that but once more less is more when explaining something to someone that is in the beginning best regards good flights
hekki friend congratulation on that beauty and can you please tell me what esc and motors are you using and how much is that quad weight ? thanks and good flights
I dont know if you will ever see this question because I can see that the video is abet old but I just hope that you see it and you can help me. I have couple of pixhawks on my quad and one of them I had configur for rc plane, with frsky x8r reciever. the problem is I just can not get the Flight modes to work!!!? I have it working on my drones with other recievers and I have been using this reciever on my quad at some point and it worke but right now no matter what I do it just wont work. any idea's !? and it is connected with one line sbus to rc in.....!!? thank you
Hi I recently purchased pixhawk 2.4.8 and a hexa frame S550. I am facing some problem with it. Please help me 1. Main out 3 of pixhawk seems to be the problem. Whatever ESC I connect I am not able to spin motor. But with other Main out's I am able to spin. What could be the problem here? How do I resolve? I had flashed Hexa firmware, Octo firmware and quad firmware. None of these firmware worked for me on main out 3 . But main out 3 was working fine before. 2. As I am not able to use main out 3, I had to flash octo firmware for the pixhawk on my hexa frame. So , I could use main out 7 and able to spin the motor. Now I am able to arm the drone. But when I try fly , it leans or drifts towards left side. I am not able to control it and I have damaged my hexa frame. I am using FSi6 transmitter. Do I have to trim? or Do I have to calibrate comapsss. How do I handle levelling issue? Please help me.
does that canopy come with the 680 kit? I wish all quads came with some type of canopy. it just looks so much more slicker than seeing wires come out everywhere, which is hard to organize and give the wires a clean look when there's nowhere for them to go.
1) Powered the drone with 3s 2200mAh battery. 2) ESCs make initial sound(Don't know if anyone is not making). 3) After sometime, can see 2,3,4 motors rattling a bit with each beep, except motor 1 and no beep with motor 1 ESC. 4) Using Pixhawk, after arming when I fly the drone tilts on the motor 1 side, but motor1 rotates. 5) For this reason, I have lost my props of motor 1 twice. Please help.
Great job, man! Thank you to show us the PixHawk communication port setting! You did very well didactic explanation! Allow me asks you some questions, please. 1) Are there different PixHawk specific firmware needed to load it when flying airplane or multicopter? 2) Or the default PixHawk insider firmware is enought to do any route traced with Mission Planner free software? 3) What is the maximum distance provided by the 915MHz radio telemetry antennas? 4) Do you know if the Spektrum DSMX receiver (e.g. DX8), with attached telemetry modules (pitot tube, thermal sensors, rpm sensor...) can be connected to the PixHawk RX IN port? Or the Spektrum AR8000 RX should be connected to the PixHawk RX IN port and the Spektrum telemetry module AT1000 connected at the PixHawk SBUS port? What about PixHawk SPEKTRUM/DSM port connection?
davrosd We tested it but left it disconnected. Without a 3 axis gimbal there isn't much point to the retracts and I figured they are a liability with no real benefit. Pixhawk will be able control the landing gear soon, once that is sorted out we will connect the gear by default.
Is it possible to use the uBlox GPS + Compass unit without having this board here? I guess I should have read into it more, but I bought the GPS thinking that's all I would need.
Yes it is. The board I think you are referring to is the i2c expansion board. You can simply plug the i2c cable directly into your flight controller. The expansion board allows the use of multiple i2c sensors on the same bus.
The Pixhawk itself runs on 5 volts +/- The battery for a multirotor or fixed wing is based on a number of variables like motors, ESCs, prop size, craft weight, desired flight time, etc.

can i connect all the three wires of all the esc to pixhawk without cutting off any middle power cable. Will it be okay for pixhawk?

Why on the 3dr site it mentions to add a BEC to power the servo rails? is it needed?

what's the difference between this and Pixhawk Pro version?
were do you do you fit the video cameras/microphone??
Hi, do you use OPTO ESC or common esc? I mean, is it normal connect all 3 wires from each esc which deliver some power?
same question from my side
Which ESCS were you using?
also can you fit a release switch such as for fishing line"""",

what is the dimension of frame you used?
Great video. Have you got the retractable landing gear working yet?

Can I use a 3DR solo link
where to buy this frame
is the Pixhawk only sbus ?
hello, sorry what about pixhawk? is really better than APM?
+willy m yes. Very much so.
Where is the part 2?
what size battery
The Pixhawk itself runs on 5 volts +/- The battery for a multirotor or fixed wing is based on a number of variables like motors, ESCs, prop size, craft weight, desired flight time, etc.
what size were you using on this quad ..i have similar frame ..i am using 4s 3000mah
bill alvarez We used a 4S 6000 on this. We have used up to a 10000 with good results. The landing gear is the weak link, careful when touching down!
k thanks ..i got a 4s 4k right now i need to get more
cool frame
Thx
