  • Jordan Peterson sits down with Chris Lunsford AKA Oliver Anthony. They have a lovely conversation about art, authenticity, marketing, and how to maintain creative control. The discussion about focusing on what is good and making that your priority in life versus the draw toward evil is a fascinating one. This is a long video, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Let me know what you guys think.

This was such a great conversation between these two. The more I hear Chris speak, the more I like him.
(At the beginning of the interview, Jordan talks about being in Nashville and hearing "a vicious rendition of the national anthem played on electric guitar". I suspect I heard a better one at the Atlanta Pop Festival in Byron Georgia in 1970 - Jimi Hendrix , on July 4th, two months before he died.

You heard Jimi in person play the National anthem!!???!!! That is AWESOME!

@@CassiusAchilles It was unforgettable. I had been heading back to our camp, in the pecan grove, when I heard that first chord. People rushed back to the field, it was pretty late. and we didn't expect any headliners to return until the next morning, but top names played throughout the wee hours too. Every time you felt you just HAD to crash, here comes another great band.

I watched the podcast yesterday when Chris (Oliver) posted it was uploaded to YT. Foe someone who dropped out of high school he is a very wise man. He knows what he wants and he is on the road to get it. It was great to learn more personal things about him and his family. I loved it when he was talking about his 1st son and saying "The last couple weeks have been spent on what to name the rascal". I bet he is a fantastic dad. Thanks for taking the time to react to this, I know it was very long and even though I watch it yesterday, enjoyed watching it again with you.

Thank you so much Destiny. Yea I also like getting to know him a bit better, especially when it's about family. I like how he and his wife decided to commit to getting away from their more modern life and to reduce their expenses. Love how he lit up about his son too. I appreciate you. Lead with love.

@@CassiusAchilles If you haven't seen it yet, He dropped yesterday Simple Man (Shinedown, Oliver Anthony, Papa Roach). It was great. He takes his dogs to every venue he plays. Skynyrd is my all time favorite band (the early days before the plane crash). This drop to me was great because it was a cover on Skynyrd!!

I am 56 years old , I grew. Up in and around the Appalachian mountains, but I did go to art school in Knoxville @ UTK with a dual major of theology. I recently discovered UTUBE, I was widowed 6 years ago , and this has been such a wonderful way to connect to smart people and listen to others with similar interest who can teach me more, because for me seeking knowledge is not something I am willing to give up! I have a bone disease so I can’t physically travel to connect with people, so this is just wonderful for me to have this medium to immerse myself in! It feeds my brain but also my soul ❤

It was cool watching it a 2nd time! What an inspiring conversation. I didn't really know much about Jordan Peterson before now but this interview made me like him. I also just wanted to hear more of Chris' take on things but they had a great flow together and I learned a lot.
Really enjoyed your input as well and, as always! It's been hard to find anyone on social media like minded that can see through all boxes society tries to put us in. Thank you and the Mrs for being the kind of people this country and world needs! 🙂❤
I believe Chris (Oliver) is going to do some amazing things in his future with God guiding him! 🙏

Thank you so much Kellie. I'll be sure to share this positivity with my wife. I was raised to stay away from boxes. Likely because I've always been a bit of my own little rebel. Lots of fighting and whatnot in my youth. Thankfully I had someone help me learn to channel it into thanking for myself. I love seeing people like you in the comments who also refuse to succumb to a list of labels. You're appreciated. Lead with love.

Cassius, glad that you are reacting to this JP interview with OA. Like you, I can't seem to get enough of OA. Several years ago, I was a big fan of Ben Shapiro. Then I was a big fan of Daily Wire. Currently, I am a big fan of JP. Lately, I have soured on BS and DW; primarily due to their treatment of Kanye and Steven Crowder. I couldn't help but get a sense from JP that he was talking up the benefits, throughout the whole interview, of working for Daily Wire. It's funny that JP had, initially, tweeted support for Kanye or Steven; but, then later retracted his tweet of support. I love JP and OA; just lot's of worry about Daily Wire. Love You! 🙂❤

I think he sees himself in Chris. They both went viral over a response to political challenges. Jordan - in Canada- spoke out against Canada legalizing compelled speech, which happened several years ago around preferred pronouns. He saw it as undermining authority in the classroom, as well as compelling people to LIE when someone says they are something that they are clearly NOT....and it actually did become a law and a father in Canada was sentenced to 6 MONTHS in jail for calling his daughter his daughter. She said it was the equivalent of violence and he was sentenced as if he physically assaulted her because he "misgendered" his biological daughter.

Haha that's bad timing. Yea he does talk a lot. Although I think he is trying to offer advice more than give an interview. Overall, I like the conversation between them. You can see Oliver is a big fan of his.

He's mentoring in Chris in this one - I think he sees alot of himself in Chris as far as being launched into a global phenomenon.
