Hi Jordan! I am from Baghdad/Iraq and I would like to tell you that Sunni and Shiites live together in Iraq peacefully, some of our families contain a Sunni mother and a Shiite father or vice versa. Some of my best, lifelong friends are Christians and I walked by a church the last month and saw a priest saying goodbye to a smiling family leaving the church. Rest assured that the majority of Muslim people are peaceful and loving, but the actions of some bigoted minority sometimes, unfortunately, leave a stronger impression.

you are a subject matter expert and you have been an inspiration to me and to countless others. I listen to you very carefully and I am proud of you and all the hard work that you do. I am only asking that you do not stretch yourself too thin. some topics such as islam and the muslim world which I have experienced personally (I grew up in a muslim country as a christian) are simply too complex. please tread carefully. Suni's do not hate shia's, islam does not hate jews or christians. I'm afraid that you might be falling victim to the same media that you are fighting against. there are a few radical, fanatic, extremist muslims who I've encountered personally, just like any other group. don't get trapped.

Plan to dismantle Israel/Palestinian/Muslim Apartheid, settle all religious disputes, and bring peace to the "Middle East".
Plan does not need to be absolute truth nor believed by it's implementors (or the implemented). Can the plan be pulled off with success is what I wish to lay out to you if the above title is a goal you wish to achieve regardless. [They wait for the success of the plan after the fact before they TRULY believe in the plan anyway]
The plan is to promote and force the hand of Israel to enthrone me, Edward Nathan Schwarz, as King of Israel according to Torah law and I would have absolute rule over the interpretation of all the Holy Writ [Tanak, Gospel, Qur'an] and settle all religious and legal disputes TO EVERYONES BENEFIT AND SATISFACTION.
And you can flesh that out with me ahead of time what that settlement would be and see if any side would feel a ruling would not be Just for them or in their interests.
What do Palestinians want? No walls surrounding them? They're gone. What do Muslim's want? No apartheid in Jerusalem? Done away with. What do the Rabbis want? A Temple? They'll settle for the Tabernacle. What does Egypt want, what does Jordan want, what does Iran want?
The Davidic King, according to ALL their Lore, holds the Lord's power of attorney in Israel's affairs. Except for cases in idolatry, this king can amend the covenant laws at will among other powers. I got plenty of resources to share. Who wants to be my friend?
Anybody please tell me, What can I give you that you be my friend? I'll open an office and stock it with Santa's helpers for you to send in your requests. I got resources and "stuff" warehouses busting their seems. I'll bring an oasis to your desert if that is what you need or want - spare no expense.
So whoever this is I'm speaking to please forward this plan to concerned parties for consideration and refining if interested. -Cheers

If a book is inspiring almost 2 billion people over 1000 years since it was first written, it would be arrogant to assume that oneself is somehow beyond its relevance before even reading, as I was arrogant during my atheistic past of assuming that I could figure everything out based on my own limited intuition.

I’m a Christian, at one time I often traveled to Turkey where my company had offices. I talked with my Muslim co-workers about faith. I realized that the wedge between us is fake. Various leaders weaponize religion for their own gains. We have more in common than we think. Even if we never overcome our differences the simple fact that we have bigger more dangerous enemies should be uniting.

As a Muslim who respects Dr.Peterson and has followed him for quite some time,
My 3 issues with this video:
1-This message could easily apply to Jews and Christians aswell, did Jordan ever make a message directed to Jews or Christians telling them to stop seeing Muslims as enemies?I don't think so.
2-There is anti-Jewish sentiment in the Muslim community, but the majority of Muslims don't even see Christians as their enemies,so I don't see why Jordan was speaking as if there was a significant anti-Christian sentiment in the Muslim community.
3-As for the Jewish point:imagine if a man made a TH-cam video in 2022 encouraging Ukrainians to seek peace with Russians as if it's a simple task, the response to said video would be outrageous since it would be ignoring the complexity of the situation between Russians and Ukrainians and ignoring that there's a war between them. The same could be said to Jordan encouraging Muslims to stop vilifying Jews. Firstly,Muslims have trouble with Israel and Zionism more than they do have trouble with Jews and Judaism as a religion. Secondly, like my Ukrainian example, the issue of "Jews and Muslims" is very complex and there's a war going on in Palestine,so telling muslims to seek peace with the "Jews" or Israelis in such a situation would be ignoring the complexity of the situation and treating it as if it's some playground squabble that could be solved simply and easily. And ofcourse Jordan used the term "Jews" rather than "Zionists" or "Israelis" even though the latter would've been more correct to use, this word choice is dishonest and doesn't tell the whole story.
    ---
    That's all.

I see what you’re saying, we all have our blind spots, he has his. I’m sure is open to correction, just as I would say you aren’t aware of the full story in Ukraine. The Russian speaking Ukrainians have been slaughtered since 2014, under the orders of interim president Oleksandr Turnochyv. They’re infested with an ideology older and more odious than Nazism, and their actions could hardly be seen as forgivable by the Russian speaking Ukrainians who’ve suffered untold torture, kidnap, and extrajudicial ethnic cleansing at the hands of Ukrainian officials. This is in fact a message applicable to almost every other major religion as you said and should be said to them too, although there exist no such divide today between Jews nor between Christians. And I recognize that the vast majority of this is actually nationalism rather than theological conflict. Alowites are seen as heretics for example by a great deal Muslims though as are Sufis by fewer. Salam brother.

I think there's something you still don't know, because the bitterness and inferiority complex that exists is from Ishmael to Isaac. I am a bit of my ancestors, so there are Muslims who are the face of Abraham's first son, resentful, bitter, because he was born first, but Abraham took Isaac to sacrifice, that's why Israel wins wars.
That's not me saying it, but it's the psychology of the collective unconscious, and Jesus would bring Israel back. I'm sorry don't think badly of me, but know, I'm a Christian, a Zionist, and in the State of Israel even Muslims live with more freedom. Shalom .

As for why are such messages meant for muslims: it's because islam is the only religion in the 21st century that has a widespread track record of modern religion-endorsed violence, sometthing that the Christians and Jews phased out in the middle ages and Roman times, respectively. Islam is violent by nature, and muslims seem to have little problem with it. Christianity and Jewish faith are like.. herpes, but Islam is like cancer, so it's more important to deal with that at the moment.

Like saying if you don't believe in the miracles that the prophets have come with from god, don't expect a good ending. Arabic is such a cumbersome language, you really won't get any accurate results with google translate. For example is 'عبس وتولى' this one has another tragic mistranslation story of its own. It might sound demanding but I believe people should learn Arabic first if they wanna learn something meaningful from Muslims and their book.

This video is proof that even the most intellectual and educated people like Jordan Peterson can share wrong info or misguide people.
I just wanted to say, as a Lebanese muslim, that despite all the differences between Sunni and Shia ideologies, we live with each others in peace. All the problems/wars happening in the muslim world are purely political, and they shove religions in the conflicts to sustain the same amount of violence.
As a sunni, i have tons of shia and christian friends, and i dont have jewish friends because simply there are none in my country.
And I believe that you know very well that muslims in general have a problem with Zionists, and not jews.
You just chose to share certain info in a certain way to support a certain political group, and this is very predictable.
Finally, and in conclusion, you're 100% wrong.

In just the past 70 years 12 million+ muhammadans have died fighting other muhammadans in conflicts .. . and yet here you are and many other muhammadans in absolute utter denial about the elephant in the room and look to blame the messenger and or everyone else for problems in your own system

-Cheers

      John 3:16-20 (READ IT ALL)
. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

A muslim living and working in Japan.
Like not I am bullied or stuff, but being critized or thought to be weird by my not being promiscuous and waiting for marriage to have sex, and felt lonely of not being understood, this massage, just hit right into the heart. The Japanese, really does respectful and they actually respect religious rules of others, but still, they subtly or explicitly blame religion for group conflicts, and advertising atheism as the right way to be individualistic. Me here just to be not understood can came with huge sadness sometimes. But your message, searching for satan inside yourself, being the light and being the example by your actions, was what I had as a stance for like 15 years(I am 31) as a stance of life. You should show what you are and strive for good, and be good example, so people will admire your thoughts. I could not even think whether there is more wonderful service to your religion and your society, given you believe truthfully to your religion and consider it to be righteous. But, it is not that my/your religion just have the good people. We should compete for goodness both inside our religions, and across religions, so we can just be an example to "Nah, not all of them are bad / useless / satanistic / terrorist. I know a brilliant/kind guy from that religion", and it would be huge. That was what I have always thought, do my best to follow rules of religion, try to understand why they are there(so I would not be blinded or ignorant), and apply them to my life as much as I can (or at least strive for it). And I thought that everyone must have the equality of opportunity, after then (whether religious or ideological) the truly good beliefs will shine through. And I thought we must give it to all that opportunity, and so people would strive and lift up themselves, and would make their society better. And I am working toward that goal in work, not that it gone a long way yet though, trying to make education better and cheaper, while being with truly different ideologies in the company, the mission of better and cheaper for everyone is the same
Still, I was lonely of not being understood on some part, especially on theological front that my religion being center of my life rather than it being some "(minor) tradition", so, your beautiful words, and they are directed to Muslims, I just thought I wouldn't cry, but it made me cry (even I had tears writing this). Just there is someone, at the other side of globe, whom I respect, believing (or acting accordingly to) another religion saying the almost same thing, just got me in the heart. Thank you Peterson. Thank you Dr. Jordan.
PS. I have took your personality tests and occasionally watched your lectures in 2019, more intensely this year, and had many agreements. I am not taken your self-authoring course (yet?), but I am also trying to write my fears / shortcomings of now and past, and long/medium/short term future goals and analyze them to get my shit together, which the concept of your course inspired me to do. I am somehow autistic ( not diagnosed but less like ADHD and more like asperger maybe?) and still got over its shortcomings, I can relate to your ideas on the wokeness front as well, similar to the religious/ideology front, I think people should get their shit together if they can (instead of self-victimazing) to represent their group better while keeping individuality. And society should focus on those who cannot do that because of poverty/(real) disability.

As a muslim I respect Dr Jordan Peterson alot but in this video I'm sure he didn't do his study and research well . As muslims we can agree with Dr Jordan Peterson that the Quran it is mentioned that we muslims should respect the people of the book ( jews and Christians ) but it's mentioned in the Quran chapter 60 : verse 8 " God does not deprive you of those who did not fight you in religion and did not deprive you from your home " and what did the jewish settlers do to the Palestinians ? Between 1920 and 1939 the Balfour declaration promised to facilitate Jewish immigration under suitable conditions and the jewish population focused on purchasing lands from the arab owners so by controlling both the land and the labor that gave them the opportunity to occupy Palestine and over 700000 Palestinians fled from their homes and became refugees in neighbouring arab countries and they became stateless . Now here's an honest question. How do you want us to make peace with those who fought us , kicked us out from our homeland , and declared war on us ? Palestinians are living under isreali military occupation and the Israelis treat the Palestinians as they are sub humans in their own land . Just last year ago when the battle started between the Palestinians and the Isreali government , there were Zionist mobs marching through the streets of Jerusalem chanting " Death to Arabs " and smashing in Palestinians own stores with protection of Isreali police . And they were kicking Palestinians out from their homes in sheikh Jarrah east Jerusalem to make way for Jewish settlers . And yet people say that God promised them this land and the they have the right to live there . How do you think Isreal was built ? Do you think that millions of Palestinians decided to leave their homes behind burn down their own villages for no reason ? Isreali forces are bombing and shooting people praying inside Al Aqsa mosque and airstrikes are hitting the Gaza strip and what are the Palestinians supposed to do ? Their homes are being destroyed, their places of worship are being bombed and their families are being killed . Are you expecting from them to remain quiet and to sit back and accept it ? Some jews claim that it was their land so if history is to be taken to throw people out from their homes then why doesn't the US give back the land to the native Americans ( the red Indians ) . Don't you feel like as if Palestinians are still living under colonialism ? As muslims we have no problem with the jews at all . The Quran doesn't say that the Jews and the muslims should fight , it says that the strongest enemies to the muslims are the jews and this is actually a fact and it proves the Quran is right and the proof for that is easy . Just let the jews get together and decide to stop the war on the Palestinians and to give the stolen land back to them . Will they do it ? We are not anti-Jewish , we are anit-Zionists. We don't want war , we want justice . We are not fascists , Nazists nor racists . The Palestinians were uprooted from their homes by " God's promise " and when you call us anti-semitic infact the Palestinians are semites because arabic is a semitic language . So our problem is with the Zionists because zionism is a political movement not a religious movement and history proves that muslims Christians and jews were coexisting and they were living in peace when the Islamic warrior Salah El Din Al Ayubi conquered the crusaders and took control of Jerusalem he entered into an agreement that muslims should protect synagogues and Churches .

I am sure many are inspired for your lectures and podcasts and would be great if you may of course, consider meeting Shia Scholars such as Dr Sayed Mustafa Al Qazwini, who resides in Orange County and which speaks wisely in the Islamic Educational Centre of Orange County.
Please know I pray and hope for a one banner under Gods true name on Earth, that we may thrive ourselves to a better World and leave a future which our future ancestors may be proud of.
    May God always bless you.
    Peace be with you.

-Cheers

This self constructed enmity between Shias and Sunnis is in fact the cause of all problems for Muslims, and the refusal to communicate their issues through is making it a lot worse. This has got to be the most sincere and genuine piece of advice for Muslims. You spout things like Shia and Sunni Muslims fighting each other, yet you don't know why either term exists or who each sect is. Also, you are blaming Muslims and claiming we hate Christians and Jews, yet it's your Christian and Jewish governments brainwashing your people into hating Muslims and instigating fights against them since the times of Romans. How about you read some religious history, our brother Hamza Yusef told you in an interview, yet you didnt listen to him.
You need to always remember, that your governments have always been the oppressors in most cases through out history. Muslims brought knowledge and ethics into your degraded cultures during the European dark ages, you took it, denied it ever came from us, and now, you are doing the same thing. You are denying Muslims by your worthless words of how we should be with Christians, Jews or with each other. Yes, Muslims fight each other sometimes, but we never caused a world war. Christians caused 2 world wars already, and on the verge of a 3rd world war, yet you want to preach Muslims philosphical non sense about clearing hate? What a contradiction. We all saw the hate and racism towards Muslims when they migrated to Europe during the wars which Christian and Jewish governments caused in the Middle East, but when Ukranians migrated because of the wars you caused, you welcomed them with open hands.
Our authority in life comes from the one only, and that is, Allah all mighty. We listen to what Alllah tells us in the Quran, and what our Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him tells us, not you, or anyone else in this world for that matter. We know who our enemies are while you don't. Allah told us in the Quran (Surah 5 Al-Ma'idah, Ayat 82-85) that Jews and polytheists hate the Muslims the most, so we will always be on guard with them, while Christians are the most friendly, so we have no issues with Christians. Also, we know about the fight against ourselves, Allah already told us in the Quran, old news. Jordan, if you actually read the Quran you would know, but you haven't obviously, you show no sign of any respect to Muslims, you read books about LGBT stuff yet you never tried to read and understand the Quran. So contradicting. Also, in general, most Christians and Jews will never accept Islam, Allah all mighty told us in the Quran in Surat al Baqara verse 120.
We understand Christians and Jews more than you understand us. And it's your governments wrekcing havoc in the Muslims countries by placing dictator hypocrite butchers in our countries because Allah all mighty gave your countries science and military ability. This is all a test to see what you do with it. Your governments corrupt the earth and skies with your technologies, steal resources from other countries, kill the planet, kill the people, and then you want to give us a lecture about making peace with ourselves? You dont even understand the basics of peace. Soon enough, your countries will pay for what they did, and every oppressor will pay for what they did in this life or the next. Your words have no effect on educated Muslims.
To my Muslims brother and sisters, don't be flattered with his words, becareful, this person doesn't care about Muslims, heed my warning. If he did, he would not say these things to us after all the interviews he did with Muslims. It seems that Jordan is part of the propaganda to unite Christians Jews and Muslims under the new movement of Abarahamic religion, which is utter non sense. I had my doubts about Jordan and now this is it. No more trust, unsubscribe.
To my fellow Christians, what I wrote is not because of any hate towards you, these are the realities of your governments, and if you study and research about the topics I spoke about, you will find the truth. I live and work in America, I find Christian Americans to be very nice people. I don't want war against anyone, but I won't be quiet and will fight anyone who tries to attack our religion, insult us, and act as a hypocrite authority to Muslims like you Jordan. You as Christians need to figure out the truth about your own governments, we already know about our corrupt governments in the Muslim world and are fighting to fix it. A true Muslim never has any issue with establishing peace with anyone offering it.

Hello Dr Peterson, I’ve been following your work for years now (since 2015, I believe), and your lessons helped me process and go through a lot of challenges I had in life. However, I’m disappointed by how shallow and presumptuous this video was.
I’m a Palestinian, and as a young adult, I faced many challenges in gaining the right to exist and work anywhere in the world. Those challenges fundamentally stemmed from Palestine’s impossible human conditions and the ongoing illegal occupation of our people. In many ways, I’m much luckier and more privileged than many Palestinians who have their houses demolished, freedom stolen, and lives taken every single day by the Israeli government and army. Our problem was never with Judaism or its people but rather the inhumane practices and attitudes of Zionism.
I’m doing much better now, earning enough to sustain myself and help my family, and I can pursue what’s meaningful. Your books and lectures influenced me to reach this state. So thank you.
Finally, while I’ll be the first to criticise the Muslim world, your critique has come off as misinformed and shallow. Consider learning more about the subject matter from its people. Perhaps you could form a pen pal partnership with someone from Palestine? That ought to give you a glimpse into the reality there and might give you an insight that many westerners don't have.

--Plan to dismantle Israel/Palestinian/Muslim Apartheid, settle all religious disputes, and bring peace to the "Middle East".
-Cheers

To have a relationship with God on earth so you can spend eternity together in Heaven. So, what pushes me away from God? Sin (lying, unforgiveness, sexual sins from lust, dishonouring parents, steeling, taking the Lord’s Name in vain etc) which leads to hell. But Jesus died on the Cross and rose from the dead to give you the ability to repent and Believe in Him as your Lord and Saviour.

So, I ask you again, why should God let a sinner into Heaven?
Sinners don’t go to heaven they go to hell, But we are blessed to have Jesus (God incarnate) die on the Cross and rise from the dead. If you Repent (forsake your sinful, unholy ways and live righteous instead) & Believe in Jesus as God, you will be seen as a Saint and welcomed into Heaven.

I'm not trying to construe that Dr Peterson's comments toward Muslims' imply a majority of Muslims hate other" Muslims. I don't have too ,apparently its a big enough problem for him to comment on it.. What is the percentage,, you don't know, and I don't know. So what do you base your hate on? Politics? I am dubious about the level of acceptance in the majority of Muslims and people in general. The problem is Islam and many sects seek the destruction of those that are different from themselves.

Living in the United States i feel Muslims have been disrespected by a political agenda, specifically after 9/11 . I am Christian, but it was not until i did my own research into the Muslim faith and people did i truly understand and respect what they stood for. I have nothing admiration for the Muslim people and their faith. It is one thing to speak words anyone can do that however, i find that most Muslims practice what they preach. It is their dedication to their Religion and Faith not just by mere words but by their actions such as fasting at certain times of the year. I have never seen more respectful people, even when they disagree, it is done with respect . The world can learn so much from the Muslim people and hopefully one day God willing that will happen for it can only help unite us in this wild world of division we live in today. All religions have radicals...something about the Muslim faith does seem to breed more though? I do understand that a VAST MAJORITY of Muslims are great people. But there are huge swaths of people who will murder for their religion. Burn a Quran in front of Muslims and you'll find the radicals immediately. Look at what Sweden is going through. They loved the idea of immigrants and bringing immigrants to their country and even providing for them.....one man burns a Quran...and they are ready to burn cities to the ground. It's insane. Immigrants must understand that if you move to a Western country....burning a Quran is legal and everyone has the right to do it. Just as you would have the right to burn a bible or whatever other symbolic thing you want to burn. Learn to live in a world of freedoms....don't bring your stone age ideologies to another country. Hello, Jordan! First, I should thank you for all that you do to unite the disciples of the Abrahamic religions.
I have been watching you for quite a while, and I respect you a lot. This is the first time I have posted a comment under you video. About the Sunni and Shiia (don't know the word for it), well, I live in Afghanistan, a country in which both Sunnis and Shiias live without conflict whatsoever. And about our relationship with Christians and Jewish people, well, we respect you all (you are the people of the book), but that minority of Muslims who don't see it that way, it is their problem. No Muslim advocate for war etc. (except the Al-qaeda- types, which we don't see them as Muslims) We follow what our beloved Prophet (PBUH) and our Holy book say, that is:
If you kill one human, you have killed humanity, and that if you save one human, you have said humanity.

As a Muslim and a fan of yours, I must say that I’m kind of disappointed. There is no doubt in my mind that your message was out of good will, but you got some things wrong.
First of all, this sort of message, a pacifistic one, should not be towards Muslims only, but also towards Jews and Christians. Yes, you also mentioned them in the video, but the title is only towards Muslims.
Then there is a big difference between Jews and Zionists. A Jew and a Muslim could live together in peace, and neither should hate the other, but that is not the case with Zionists. We as the Muslim Ummah do not have any hate towards a regular Jew, but this is not the same for Zionists, as the latter only aims and strives to achieve the Great Middle East - Project.
Last but not least, Sunnis and Shias are not killing each other on the streets. We do live peacefully, and their whole difference dates back more than a thousand years back.
This is my message to Muslims:
Instead of trying to unite with Christians and Jews, we should first unite with ourselves. This does not mean that we have to be intolerant towards them.
Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Palestine, Afghanistan.. all of these beautiful Islamic countries have been ruined, because we as a Ummah failed to come together when outside forces invaded our homelands.

I would love to see a United Islamic States. We could easily manage this on the example of Malaysian governance. Malaysia has many kingdoms and the kings vote every 5 years who will be the next king of all.
Imagine we divide the Muslim world up into regions and then we make Mecca and Medinah the capital cities. Each head of state within a region can vote for their regional representative. Then the regional representatives can vote for the khalif for the next period of years. Each state would contribute to a unified army, we could have unrestricted trade within the UIS. Imagine how powerful we'd be.
Turkey and Saudi just announced partnership to try to bring the Islamic world together.
I think we're heading towards the time of the Mahdi so in sha Allah we will get something better than my idea soon.

Violence is goofy indoctrination. The only shedding of blood that makes sense of it all is YAHUWSHUWA'S SACRIFICE ON THE CROSS:
The shedding of blood of goats and bulls will not remove sin because the shedding of Christ's blood gives understanding. When you hate Christ and His sacrifice, you hate your Creator and His sacrifice when He took flesh and had His blood spilled. Abel was chosen over Cain because it is Christ's blood sacrifice that will save mankind, which is why YHWH accepted Abel's sacrifice. It was Cain who became like mohamad and decided to spill blood in rage over God. Christ came with the right blood sacrifice that shows Abels sacrifice was prophecy as Abel pleased The Father and was killed for it, just like Christ would eventually do. Same with the passover Lamb sacrifice that protects Ysreal and Abraham sacrificing the lamb for his Son. Christ being the Lamb of ALAHYM, fulfilled these rituals that only served the purpose to prophecy the sacrifice of The Messiah. Every ritual commanded by YHWH to the Ysraalites only served the purpose of prophesying YAHUWSHUWA HAMASHIACH.
Islam and judaism both give no meaning to anything the Ysrealites did. They both remove all significance and those rituals become nothing more than routine religious rituals with the vain purpose of making people seem holy. Islam and Judaism makes The Father's mission totally ambiguous and do not follow through or have connections like The Gospel and Christ does to EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN THE OLD COVENANT.
CHRIST FULFILLS THE OLD COVENANT BY GIVING THE OLD COVENANT A MEANING AND PURPOSE THAT GIVES MEANING AND PURPOSE TO THE NEW COVENANT WHICH IS NOTHING MORE AND NOTHING LESS THEN ACKNOWLEDGING AND UNDERSTANDING THE MOST PERFECT MAN AND DEITY IN THE FLESH, YAHUWSHUWA HAMASIACH AS HIS LIFE IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW TO FOLLOW THE CREATOR OF ALL AND ACHIEVE THE PERFECT LOVE TO YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, NEIGHBOURS AND EVEN THOSE WHO HATE AND PERSECUTE YOU. As a sunni Muslim living in the west and has travelled to many Muslim countries in the east, befriended many shia and sunni Muslims, the tension between both groups has been widely blown out of proportion (no pun intended lol). Have sunnis and shias "beefed"? Yes, of course. There have been wars and conflicts that we all know of, I'm sure, but for the majority of time and in most places they have in fact co-existed peacefully. These events are small specs in the time line . Yes, you'll get your certain areas that are dangerous but I'm sorry i need to call a spade a spade!
-Cheers

You conveniently ignore that you went into Iraq and destroyed the country for over 30 years, killing millions and creating refugees in the millions. You were effectively destroying Iraq.
You are essentially saying, "Muslims need to ignore US sanctions in Afghanistan that have killed tens of thousands of babies in 2022 alone". Let's ignore the 900 foreign US military bases (known as the MIC) causing incredible suffering in the Muslim world. The constant barrage of Palestinian oppression and murder is a glaring example over 70 years."
Further, you paint "Muslims" as a monolith that hates Christians and Jews when that's an inaccurate framing. We are close to 2 billion strong and span the globe. Diversity of thought is part of our fabric. Muslims have traditionally been an advanced and tolerant society responsible for everything from algebra to universities (yes, we started those, not you).
All this means what? You think Muslims should work with people of the book, then stop murdering us.
The left understands Palestinian rights. Muslim rights here in the US (I haven't forgotten Guantanamo). Who speaks out against that injustice, the left or the right? The atrocities are still ongoing in Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and many other countries, costing millions of lives and preventing the progress of historically and rightfully proud people. That's why we are more likely to align ourselves with the left (politically) despite the gaping ideological divide.
If we can overlook differences and make an alliance with the left, then what can we do with the people of the book? Stop killing us.
The US has done this in Africa, South/ centeral America (Monroe doctrine), and southeast Asia. Those societies didn't have a 1500-year lineage, and they mostly gave into the oppression. They still suffer for it. Muslims, our religion, and our way of life will never do the same.

The “Abraham Accords” didn’t lead to any sort of peace whatsoever. Those countries were already at peace with Israel, all they did was officially make their ties public.
In fact, they divided the Muslim world and normalized violence against Palestinians.

It meant that Israelis could (1) travel on their Israeli passports (2) directly from Israel to these countries instead of jumping through hoops on both counts. When you consider that Malaysian passports have printed on the inside 'This passport is valid for all countries except Israel,' this is not nothing.
In fact I would say it's a pretty good start. It helped break the stigma that if you are Mulsim you have to be against Israel's existence. No doubt Trump would have done more if he had more time.

I wonder if JP and you would say the same thing about breaking the stigma and peacemaking with the Axis Powers during ww2.
Israeli occupation is a symbol of hate and murder and no ornate speech is going to change that. Despite current events, Palestinian and Muslim blood is not cheap.

Very interesting and very commendable that you are trying to bring Peace and love through sharing, especially brain work outs, as brothers and sisters together. I sense a little echo of "love God and one another" .
My family is divided by religious divisions which, after decades of hard work, has been a sacrificial Penance for coming up on 40 years - truly!
(Don't get me wrong GOD is God but the disgusting prejudices and one's experience within "the sides" (including my own), is truly exceptional to cope with, especially with the evident "position of men" on top of it to doubly cope with, so to speak - truly!).
    A few points to consider:
After 9/II and being religiously robbed of my house for ecceptional "expected" hard work, I joined "the study" of religion you refer to here, at Glasgow University. By comparison to decades of deep study in the Sacred Scripture, I found that the relious text studied after the fall of the US towers, that I studied at GU, ( to work out what was causing the sudden Hell on earth ) , was not the "Word of God "i.e. this so called new religious text which I was now studying to solve the world's crises, lacked the "Sacredness" which one found while in relationship with God in Holy Scripture - seriously! I just know the difference and recognise that astonishing, Sacred link when the "connection" in relationship, is God - truly! (A bit like knowing the words and source of the Sacred Scripture without the text- truly!). Obviously anything received, I leave for the Magesterium to solve and come back to me on it, regardless of the wait! The latter merely to avoid passing on errors!
Anyway, in that study at GU where the materialism of Capitalism, seemed to unite a diverse group of us, I concluded that the text was not "the Word of God" and I felt that it was somehow more like "magic". How strange yet I am sure that someone may identify with such an unexpected conclusion. I rest my case with no disrespect to anyone, particularly in that community! (Must be some reason for that experience!).
As you infer coming together and basically getting to know each other is constructive and as we have seen in other areas has the obvious capacity for Peace - as seen from other wars, where enemies can be friends.
Finally, I had an overwhelming new experience of the Love of God within me on Saturday night, by way of the Goodness of God, through His Holy Sacrament of Confessions. I was overbowled, yes stunned at such an incredible unbuyable compassionate fullness of His Love in me!
He Loves us all. This is what we should all be working for, agreed? It truly, joyously surpasses anything you know!
    Thank you so much.
Amen Glory to God in the Highest level of Love forever. ❤❤❤💖😘😁🙏

After watching this video and reading the comments I can’t help but feel a little patronised if I’m honest. While the intention of this message may have been innocent and in good faith, It plays into this false narrative that all Muslims have a percentage of hate towards Christian’s and Jews. There is no hate amongst the majority of Muslims and other faiths. Our hate internally is towards the sin and not the sinner with our common enemy being Satan/Shaitaan. Our differences are very few but what Muslims feel is sinful, they will try their best to avoid and to partake in. I live in the UAE a country which follows Sharia law, it has one of the lowest crime rates in the world and there is peaceful coexistence between many faiths.
This message of tolerance and peaceful coexistence is in the teachings of this beautiful religion for 1400+ years but what Islam also teaches us is to have a little backbone and stick to our values and beliefs. Tolerance doesn’t mean you give up your values and traditions to take part in what others do. Tolerance is to accept that others are different and the whole world can take something from this message. As for the Sunni/Shia comments this is down to political/regional understandings of the religion the same way there are many branches of Christianity who don’t agree with one another’s interpretations. The message is one amongst all Muslims and Allah will judge us on how we have understood and followed that message.
Also baffled by the number of Muslims in the comments section who seem to crave validation from a prominent speaker and say they agree with “everything” but then disagree with certain points. We don’t need Dr JP’s validation or validation from anyone else. That’s the beauty of our religion we are not slaves to the “norms” of society. We answer to a higher power than man. The laws we follow internally encompass everything we will face in our lives and push us to be kind to others and be held accountable for every single one of our actions. Our religion has had this message and guidance for 1400 years and our validation will be found within us if we respect and follow the teachings of Allah (swt) and his messenger ﷺ
May peace and guidance reach all who read this comment and watch this video ameen

LIES! That all sounds good but you want find many Christians and Jews moving to Muslims countries in masses but you will found Muslims moving to the West in masses. People are not stupid or blind, we see what happens to Christians or non-Muslims in Nigeria, Egypt, Sudan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran or any Muslim majority country.

I actually think he has a point. You do not at all see Muslims joining hands with other religions to fight against common issues, such as transgenderism. That is his main point. We fight these issues alone and/or within our own Muslim communities. In addition, no....there are issues between Sunnis and Shiates for SURE...rooted in history and differences in the faith itself. HOWEVER, we do, indeed, have an issue with accepting the other completely when again, it comes to common schools of thought, and I think that it's due to a general lack of unity amongst the Muslim ummah. You see a divide among the community now for such topics as the hijab, the Sunnah, dress code, manners, etc. So essentially, I agree with Jordan B. Peterson because we DO have these issues, and people just don't like acknowledging the truth 🤷‍♀️

Sir, that is a very beneficial recommendation for a good sprint towards God, in understanding the concept of God his attributes, necessity and characteristics. However abysmal, it will be very useful academically. I think Ammar Nakshwani, can be a good point of contact for the English language native speakers to relate and map Arabic terminologies to explore and comprehend the God of Muslims from Shia perspective in light of most popular book Nahjul Balagha (Collection of Sermons given by Ali ibn Abi Talib, 1st Imam of Shite Imamate System of Ruling and 4th Caliph of Sunni Capliphate System of governance)
