After watching many reviews of this game, I must say yours was the best and also the reason I decided to buy it. And after playing it the first time yesterday, I have no regrets about buying it! I really enjoyed it and even though I didn't do that well on my first playthru I can't wait to play it again! So thanks for giving me the needed encouragement to go out and buy it 👍
Getting this to the table for the first time this evening! I’ll be playing solo. It’s been on my shelf for a while now and your excellently delivered review has inspired me to experience it tonight . Thanks again. More reviews please 👍
Excellent. One of the best reviews I have ever seen. So good that I watched it over and over and over again so I could type up a FULL transcript of it. The transcript won't fit as a "comment" but I could link to it if it would help others to both visually and textually grasp this review!
Thank you, Len! This game really struck a deep chord with us at the time and seems all the more relevant (scarily so) in 2022. We'd love for you to share the transcript link, thank you, and thanks too for taking the time to write it up.
Wonderfull and sensitive narrative not of a boardgame but of a human experience. Your description talks more about you than the game and that is a beautiful expierence. Thank you for the art of human being. Gracias
Great video! This is the best review I have seen for this board game. I played the computer game and I really liked it, so I have been researching the board game and this review told me everything I needed to know! Subbed!
A very fine review. It's fair to say that many struggle with the shared leadership, so your comments give some useful thoughts as to why it might be better than we initially feel when denied our own little board and mini. It won't get the most plays in my collection, but it is the one I could never imagine getting rid of.
This was my number one favorite board game--beaten only by Fallout with Atomic Bonds Expansion, but I still love it. The exploration and sandbox openness of TWOM is exciting to me, and this excitement outweighs the dark theming. Great review!
Couldn't agree more. I have the base game and both expansions and am loving it, just like the video game. Hard to find other players for this; solo it's perfect, rounds of two or three are fine, more than that (up to six players) would be difficult I guess. Didn't try myself though. After the new expansion I had to play the video game again. Doing the "Final Cut" version from Nov 19 (?) as a LP on my channel now 😉
One of my players complained that the most strategic minded player sorta makes most the decisions and others feel very left out. do you have any suggestions to sort of give the other players more agency? Maybe granting each player control over a character or voting in secret for decisions?
I found having an un-official DM worked best. When i brought the game to the local club, i expediated things by being the only person to handle the pieces and was a neutral party to the game. It sped the game up, and i dictated who spoke at what time and gave the final decision to the player in the leadership role. I also put a time limit on speaking to getting advice from other players so it put pressure on the person who was in the leadership role. It allowed me to handle people who dominate with enthusiasm subtly and bring those who would be more quiet out of their shells
I'm thinking about getting into boardgames mainly for solo play, and this one got me interested, but i'm not sure if this is the best for me to start at, I would appreciate some advice if possible Great video btw even tho i'm a little late Subbed Love from Portugal
I wouldn't recommend this as a game to start the hobby with... its quite complicated and the instruction book is not clear. Even seasoned gamers have had rough starts with it. I would however recommend you get the computer game. The computer game is very good in its own right and it gives you a good idea of the areas that this board game explores. There are also playthroughs of the game on youtube that would be worth a watch to see if the game style suits you. As for a different solo game to reccomend... it can depend on theme and complexity and what interests you.
@@seanmcnallyactor thanks for the reply, im going to take a look at the computer game. I'm looking at some recommendations online for solo boardgames and people often recommend mage knight and arkham horror, mage knight looks like something I would like, but a little complex for a beginner, so I think i'm gonna keep looking for something. Thanks for the advice
Id rather not had the card areas on the board, they get knocked all the time lol, id prefer just the play area on it, a playmat would have been awesome.

Thanks so much for that, Alpha Omega. Glad to hear it!

Thank you and hope you live to tell the tale after your first experience with the game!

Thank you for such a lovely comment! One of the nicest things ever said to us! Really appreciate that, thanks Enrique!
I’ve rarely seen a boardgame review as thoughtful as this. Great job! liked, subscribed and ordered the game.
Thank you, do enjoy the game and best wishes to you and yours during the current pandemic. Stay safe
Thanks a mil, Gaston!

Thank you and welcome! We love this game, despite how tough and challenging it can be psychologically sometimes...

Thank you, Chris! We're rather big fans of Fallout Atomic Bonds on this channel too!
How much table space do you need for this?
Its a table hog.
There are no player boards as such as everything is communal and played on the board itself, but what is there is pretty substantive
The most beautiful review I've ever seen
Thanks KevB. Genuinely lovely to hear that!
man, this review as pure awesomeness and the game looks awesome as well. will have to buy this one, sounds like a game for me. cheers
Thank you! Enjoy the game! Awesome!
Outstanding review. Thanks
Cheers! Thanks for watching!

Fantastic review. I have ordered the game and can't wait to play solo.

Thanks too for subbing! Greetings from Ireland!
@@GMartinsfcp for "introductory" solo board gaming I'd recommend Friday, Elder Sign, Dead Angel and Pandemic.

Very 'human' revue ! Thanks for that...
Thank you, for watching
This video would of been epic if you were hit by sniper fire at the very end :)
lol...JK....this is my favorite board game of all time!
