I think that the only person who was loved by Elvis as intensely as his mother, was Lisa. That kind of love does not end with death for Lisa had once stated that after her father’s passing, she never felt safe. The saddest part of the Elvis Presley story was indeed, the daughter he had left behind and what a daughter! She bared the weight of his legacy as no one could. She glorified his memory but fought for him when needed all while dealing with the loss of him. If Elvis is king than Lisa Marie was a most worthy princess. Thank you Nick. As always poignant and kind.❤️
Lisa said in an interview that she felt her dads presence while recording this song she said she felt his hand come down to help her everyone in the studio was crying as it was so emotional great reaction from you 😊
Beautiful, sad, breathtaking. Never heard the original but this version was probably something he was experiencing. Even though he was surrounded by people he felt alone. He was already short of breath but pushed through to the end. His voice was still great. Lisa also had a unique voice but she chose a more private life. Sad both left us to young. RIP.
Lisa was a female version of her father. He Had a baritone voice and she had an alto voice. So amazing the similarities between them. Beautiful, both of them. May they rest in peace forever.❤❤
Both versions of this song - EP on his own and with Lisa Marie, are beautifully touching for each version's unique reason. Can't help but shed tears....so emotive ❤️⚡💯
Nick, you just earned yourself a new subscriber. I'm Rob from Sweden and I love how you go the extra mile to find more material and make it a double/triple reaction of the same song. Your reactions seems very genuine, keep it up you do it really good.
Oh wow! Thank you so much! Yes, most of the time, even if I might be semi familiar with a song it will be my first time seeing a lot of these. I try to keep it that way so the videos do stay true.
For me, this is the most profound & moving gospel song that Elvis ever sang. Then when Lisa Marie added her vocals, it became so much more emotional. Elvis would have been so very proud of her! Elvis recorded this for his 1967 album "How Great Thou Art". When he sang it live at Montgomery in 1977 the audience were silent, you could have heard a pin drop & what a precious experience it must have been for those in attendance, just spellbinding. The version with Lisa Marie was released in 2018. Thank you Nick, that was a wonderful reaction & extra special tonight 😥❤
Elvis recorded this in studio in 1966, for a Gospel album, I have the CD. Have to admit I never heard the live version! Impressive since it wasn't rehearsed. I normally don't like the re-worked versions of Elvis' songs but this duet with Lisa Marie is great, the Presley Estate produced it I believe.
Tks for doing this song....every time I see this video, the tears just flow....knowing that we don't have Elvis or Lisa with us anymore.....the true Presley's. 😢😢😢😢😢😢. Apparently at the end of recording this song she burst into tears, not only for her father but for her son who had recently passed. Must have taken true courage on her to do it💞💞💞💞😢😢😢😢
I have goosebumps everytime I see this it would have been a blessing had they been able to do this for real. I agree I give her so much admiration for even recording this
Elvis originally recorded this song in 1967; it's on his album "How Great Thou Art." This concert is the only time Elvis performed it live. A beautiful vocal rendition both Elvis singing the song alone and 'dueting' with daughter, Lisa Marie. Lisa Marie said she felt her Dad guiding her as she sang it with him. The two harmonize beautifully together. Lisa Marie sang duets with several of Elvis's other songs including "In The Ghetto."
Yes, a total of four. The other two are Don’t Cry Daddy and If I Ca Dream. All are beautiful done. Elvis normally did not do duets. The only exception I remember is Crawfish with Kitty White. It is the intro to Elvis third movie King Creole. Check it out you will like it.
So the second version was performed by Elvis only 6 months before he died. What a find. The power of the song has been shown in 2 different styles, so emotional for us all, as well as for Lisa Marie and earlier for Elvis, who had no qualms about singing gospel at his concerts. Another great reaction, Nick. Such a well researched and well put together show for us. 👌💕🕺
Wonderful reaction to this heartfelt and beautiful duet. Lisa Marie was indeed the love of his life and I believe that Priscilla taking her away from him led to his downfall. I heard that he wanted custody of her when he knew what kind of mother Priscilla was to her. Poor Lisa was treated terribly and not even allowed to have a photo of her beloved dad in their house, so as not to upset Priscilla's lover du jour. This duet brings tears, knowing how close they were and how much they cherished each other.❤❤❤
i don’t like priscilla but she didn’t take her away from him she still stayed with him during the holidays up until his death and she was literally at graceland when he died the way this is worded makes it seem like he never saw lisa marie after their divorce which isn’t true he saw her a lot there’s a reason why lisa marie has so many memories of him
I just read that this "is a compilation album by American singer Elvis Presley (1935-1977). It was released worldwide on August 10, 2018, by RCA Records and Legacy Recordings, entering at number one on Billboard's Christian Album chart and remaining there for two weeks and in the top ten for an additional two weeks. The album features archival vocal recordings of Elvis mostly from the gospel albums How Great Thou Art (1967) and He Touched Me (1972) accompanied by newly recorded instrumentation and backing vocals. The album's title track, "Where No One Stands Alone", is a newly recorded duet with Lisa Marie Presley." if that's any help for having more info on it.

The producer said” their harmonies were so much alike that he couldn’t always tell where one began with the other. He said he got goosebumps. Lisa Marie stated during an interview that it was a very emotional for her & she had to stop several times. She does several duets like this with dad. The original with just he singing it is on Gospel album. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 It’s beautiful. ❤
There is just no way she could get over his death. He was larger than life, so unique, and he loved her more than anything and anyone. Many of us see our fathers as heroes, although they are "ordinary" people. But there are also many of us who have never known what it feels like to be loved by our fathers the way Lisa was loved by Elvis. I can`t imagine how she felt when she lost her dad. It`s no wonder she had difficulties living her life. Elvis lost many people he loved, just like Lisa Marie and Priscilla. I truly hope they can both finally stand where no one stands alone. Thank you, Nick, for another beautiful Elvis reaction.❤
I hope you got to listen to the '67 album version too, which is also awesome ❤👑 I really appreciate your Elvis Sundays, so keep up the good work! TCB ⚡️⚡️⚡️
i adore this recording, have you tried Stand by me,also Danny Boy,they both reduce me to tears. When I was a teenager I played Danny Boy on repeat,my mother used to tell me off because it was so sad.❤
I’ve never knew he sang it on stage ❤ Pilamaya (Thank You) I have the original on Peace In The Valley The Complete Gospel Recordings and I’m sure I also have it on another album. Have so many of his music hard to keep track. It’s one of my favorite Gospel songs he sang and to have Lisa Marie sing along is beautiful ❤ I’m sure they are singing together in Heaven ❤ Pilamaya Nick ❤
I have heard this but not w-Lisa Marie; his voice so beautiful. I think I detected a very slight crack or raspiness in her voice also. Thanks so much. Elvis sit-down outtake (exhausted he needed to sit) th-cam.com/video/9lm5m0H0LQk/w-d-xo.html -- not the best quality visually but ones that have been enhanced do not include all 4 songs, they were cut out (heaven knows why); this version also has a bit of backstage footage. Have a good week ahead.
I honestly can tell you that it was a really emotionelly recking experiance when I watched it the first time and towards the end cried my heart out thinking about them both being gone way to soon.
The song “Where No One Stands Alone” was recorded by Elvis Presley May 25th, 1966. The song is track six on side two of his album How Great Thou Art which was released February 27th, 1967.
That is for me a very special year to me because it’s the same year that my brother DAVID was born but on 10/11/1968 but he passed away on 11/23/1995 at the age of 27 he is only 1 year older than me so the day I got married was on 10/11/2009 her son was born in the same hospital as me at TAMPA GENERAL HOSPITAL one of ELVIS movies was in TAMPA
Would love to see your reaction to "My Boy" by Elvis if you've not already reacted to it. Recorded version: th-cam.com/video/HOLH63c7SG0/w-d-xo.html Live version: th-cam.com/video/JNFH0_2ghJY/w-d-xo.html
Elvis 31 years old and Lisa Marie 50 years old. Despite the difference in age, their voices blend together beautifully ❤

Just stunning to watch & listen too. Sad to know that Lisa Marie was the last connection to Elvis and now their both gone but never forgotten 💕
Lisa said in an interview that she felt her dads presence while recording this song she said she felt his hand come down to help her everyone in the studio was crying as it was so emotional great reaction from you 😊
Thanks! 🙏
Beautiful, sad, breathtaking. Never heard the original but this version was probably something he was experiencing. Even though he was surrounded by people he felt alone. Lisa said in an interview that she could feel her dad's hand helping everyone during the recording. And strongly felt his presence. Bless her heart.
Lisa was a female version of her father. He Had a baritone voice and she had an alto voice. So amazing the similarities between them. Beautiful, both of them. May they rest in peace forever.❤❤

😢💔 so very beautiful and sad ....missing Elvis and Lisa so much. Thank you Nick for playing both of these versions.
Elvis was and still remains a spiritual connection to God and as an angel he loved all races cultures and backgrounds. Today that no longer exists
Very touching duet considering Lisa and Elvis are now together 😢
Amazing video - love Elvis and Lisa singing - never knew that he sang it live - what a great find 🎶🎤🎵🎧💙
Lisa did a good job blending in and dueting with Elvis. I like this recording. It's my favorite with Lisa .
Elvis recorded this in studio in 1966, for a Gospel album, I have the CD.
Have to admit I never heard the live version! Impressive since it wasn't rehearsed.

Wonderful reaction to this heartfelt and beautiful duet. Lisa Marie was indeed the love of his life and I believe that Priscilla taking her away from him led to his downfall. She recorded her part of this in the studio where he recorded.
Lisa talked about how she felt when she made this. She said she felt connected to her dad. I have seen all of the videos where she sings "with him" she calls them TRIBUTES TO HER FATHER. Shes done more Tributes, it started with "Don’t Cry Daddy". They all deserve a listen.
☦️🛐🙏🏻👍👌 so Pure Divine and Holy, Father and Daughter...awesome, beautiful and so Spiritual. RIP they are together now ❤❤❤❤
This is a gospel song.
We used to sing this in church❤
The producer said” their harmonies were so much alike that he couldn’t always tell where one began with the other. He said he got goosebumps. Lisa Marie stated during an interview that it was a very emotional for her & she had to stop several times. She does several duets like this with dad. The original with just he singing it is on Gospel album. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 It’s beautiful. ❤
Take notice to the date. 16 of feb 1977, on the day 6 months before he died.
😮
I don't understand your reference. What do you mean?
Happy sunday nick
Thank you 🙏 You too!
I hope you got to listen to the '67 album version too, which is also awesome ❤👑
I really appreciate your Elvis Sundays, so keep up the good work! TCB ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Thanks! Yes I have now, so good! 🙏
SO SO VERY SAD... But you do them both with honor my friend! BRAVO...
Thank you! 🙏
i adore this recording, have you tried Stand by me,also Danny Boy,they both reduce me to tears. When I was a teenager I played Danny Boy on repeat,my mother used to tell me off because it was so sad.❤
Those songs always bring tears. They are so beautifully sung and emotional. ❤❤❤
Elvis sang Danny Boy for his father,as it was Vernon’s favourite song. 💕👌🕺
I think I have Danny Boy in my playlist ready to watch at some point. I’ll double check just in case 🙏
Where I Don't Stand Alone is a Christian gospel well known in the US.
I’ve never knew he sang it on stage ❤ Pilamaya (Thank You)
I have the original on Peace In The Valley The Complete Gospel Recordings and I’m sure I also have it on another album. Have so many of his music hard to keep track.
It’s one of my favorite Gospel songs he sang and to have Lisa Marie sing along is beautiful ❤
I’m sure they are singing together in Heaven ❤
Pilamaya Nick ❤
Did he sing it on stage? I don't think so.
I have heard this but not w-Lisa Marie; his voice so beautiful. I think I detected a very slight crack or raspiness in her voice also. Thanks so much.

Thank you Mosie Lister. My favourite Elvis Presley song is “Without Him.” A song that describes my life.
Wasnt there an album titled Where no one stands alone? Think ive heard another recording than the 2 you played here
That was the title of the CD that Lisa Marie released with this duet and included several other gospel favorites of Elvis.❤
Yes, I’ve since been told there’s a 1966 recording which I’ve now listened to, it’s so good 🙏
I enjoyed this so much. Had never heard that live performance before.
Absolutely beautiful…

Would love to see your reaction to "My Boy" by Elvis if you've not already reacted to it. Recorded version: th-cam.com/video/HOLH63c7SG0/w-d-xo.html Live version: th-cam.com/video/JNFH0_2ghJY/w-d-xo.html
