I never believed it until my professor, a musicologist, challenged me to find a singer who sang so many different genres as majestically as Elvis, and I couldn't. Meaning I now have come to the conclusion, after going down the Elvis Rabbit Hole, that he is the greatest vocalist we have ever had, & there's a lot of proof out there to back that up. Best of luck with the channel!
@@karenstrong8887I highly doubt that....and I've heard all the so-called challengers to Elvis' talent. There's no-one in the world equal or above Elvis Presley.
Lisa mentioned when she recorded it that it took a long time to record it. Specially since she was hearing him singing along in her headphones. It was very emotional. She said she felt her dad with her as she recorded these songs. Very beautiful song.
Beautiful duet. So glad Lisa made this album, this song before she passed. It is magical and so poignant. Thank you for this wonderful reaction and please do more Elvis, more excellence on your channel.❤❤❤
Elvis was solo in life ...... As it should be al-ways ...... Even with her ...... She hurts the song ..... Sorry ..... I grow up with Elvis ..... That's the way I see it ..... And if you really listen ..... REALLY LISTEN ...... It's true ......
Lisa lost her dad at 9 years old. She adored him and this was a tribute for the 40th year of his passing. Sadly we lost her too, 5 years later. Don’t cry daddy is another of hers which in memory of her dad. Thanks for reacting to this one. Elvis left such a great legacy that many have tried to denigrate. Thankfully, his legions of fans, old and now new are here to keep his memory alive and as successful now as he was over 6 decades ago. Look at songs from his 68 Comeback Special, the anniversary of which was 55 years on the 3rd of December. 🙏👌💕🕺
i grew up across the street from Graceland, (His Home). I met Lisa when she was 11 years old, my brother and i got to hang out up at the house and play football with some of his family and even rode on the golf cart with her. I was struck by how sad her eyes looked even back then. She adored her Daddy
Lisa had three albums come out. The first two charted in the top ten. You should react to her song Lights Out. It references her life with her father. Before hearing that song, I never thought what it might be like as a kid to have family buried in the backyard and knowing your plot would be next to them. Flash forward. She is buried in that same backyard with her son, her father, her grandmother, her grandfather, and her great grandmother. Hundreds of people a day walk by her and her fathers grave to lay flowers and pay their respects.
YES! Please React to Nobody Noticed It, Lights Out, (both great songs about her dad) and Just A Dream ( one of her love songs for the love of her life, Michael Jackson, and my favorite song of hers.)
I wanted to thank you for doing this particular song. Losing Elvis Presley even though it’s been so many decades later still hurts just like it did the day of August 16, 1977 however what was crucially devastating was losing Lisa Marie. She died so young and it was so unnecessary complications due to a weight loss surgery. How tragic how sad it still breaks my heart. I’ve loved Elvis for 60 years and I grew up like she was my little sister and just watching this brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing this and for doing this particular song, Long live the King and long live the memory of his princess. Happy holidays.
This is so beautiful & bittersweet. She had lost her sons as well, so she is now with her Daddy & her son together, never to be alone again. She was talented in her own right & their passing so young is a tragedy. ~ There is a 'duet' with Hank Willaims Sr. & Jr., like this, called 'There's a tear in my beer' & it's cool how they engineered that one too. I mean Sr. died when Jr., nicknamed 'Bocefus' by his daddy was 3 or 4 when his dad died..
Elvis and his beautiful daughter Lisa Marie. Lisa gifted her dad and her fans with several songs together. I still can’t believe it will be a year next month since she passed away.❤
The other thing about Lisa that nobody gives her credit for Alba's had tons of gigs tons of practicing so did Riley Lisa was just thrown on TV in front of millions and she nailed it she is astonishing and her own right not because of her father that girl was blessed she had a talent and a gift not just for song writing but her pipes just blew it out of the saying this that she's a lot like her father but I give her honor and respect for her own individuality It was her that got up at a later agent wife and put the hammer to the nail she did a great job was nervous as hack but she did a great job
When I hear elvis songs I want to cry. I can hear the loneliness in his voice.. that poor man was used and abused by his ex wife and his manager. Because of then he worked himself to death. Not taking care of himself
R.I.P both Elvis and his Lisa Marie, they are both missed. Lisa Marie was 9 years old and saw her dad lying dead on the floor in the bathroom, so she had several tough things happening in her life. When she recorded this duet with her father, her son Benjamin had recently committed suicide and some say he was looking just like Elvis in his youth...
Lisa Marie Presley was married to MJ, and this song was recorded after her father passed away, she done a few of these songs together. with her dad, Watch the video on U- tube called "the echo will never die " , pt 1 & 2.. It will explain a lot about Elvis...
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Not sure how she made it through this with hearing her dad in the background. Such beautiful words!❤P.S. you are a rich man already…your girls are beautiful!
This was the last song Lisa ever recorded. She was 50 years old at the time of this recording. Elvis would have been in his thirties when his vocals were captured. I think it's a beautiful song between father and daughter. I thank you for the reaction video. It saddens me that nobody's reacting to Lisa's music. A few people did a couple of reaction videos right after she died in January but nothing since. She was a brilliant songwriter and a wonderful artist in her own right. I adore her last album 'Storm & Grace'. Many of her songs were about her second husband Michael Jackson.
I just subscribed more Elvis please this duet Lisa sings with her dad brings tears to my eyes she so loved her daddy! She also does another one with her dad “Daddy Don’t Cry” a very emotional tear jerker! Elvis sang all genre of music his Gospel is so beautiful it will take you to church!
Long live the king!!no one will ever come close!and r.i.p to them both had the pleasure of visiting graceland a few times and it's the most beautiful place ever u can feel the soul of elvis there it's special my mum wad the biggest elvis fan and we got to go the 30th anniversary of his death and 8 years ago she passed now I have a son and he is 2 and loves elvis he music will never die
Love this song. Lisa said singing this was so so traumatic for her and she broke down when it was over. Watch her towards the end and you can see she is fighting hers emotions.
I'm just happy that you are checking out Elvis and realizing what an amazing talent he was.. he voice was always spot on.. my favorite collaboration is Don't Cry Daddy.. and also love In the Ghetto..Lisa Marie was 1 yr younger than me almost to the day.. when she passed earlier this yr it hit me hard... I was raised on Elvis from my Mom. just tough
Joel when he was in the recording artist said that everybody was weeping the Holy Spirit presence was there but he never said that because of scrutiny But it's obvious because they had the interview in the chapel that Lisa built and gave it to the foundation put it sitting on the land of graceland
Do you want to listen to a song that makes you feel that this is from my life, then listen to Elvis Presley (Make the world go away), I think that most people can relate to the lyrics...
Sucha beautiful duet. Pretty sure Lisa did this in 1 take. Asked Elvis to help her through it. It's in an interview with her about this song, here on TH-cam. And it's SO sad she passed so young. Cried my eyes out. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for playing this song. I cry every time I hear it. Here in Memphis, we LOVE EP and LMP. Their lives ended way too soon. But we have their music that will live on forever. Her very first duet with her dad was "Don't Cry Daddy" here in Memphis at the 20th anniversary of his passing . A great and wonderful surprise since she always said singing wasn't her thing. Elvis's Christmas songs would be great to hear this time of year.
Elvis was takking to God to take his hand his mansion the cliud of witnesses elvis was encouraged with where he was going. His msnsion in heaven is what matters ✨️ that is why he gave so much
Lisa and Elvis were never materialistic when Lisa had her fourth birthday Elvis was asked about what he was gonna give to her he stated that he didn't want her to grow up Thinking it was all about possessions That all this was gonna burn go to the ground get dusty mold. He said i'd rather have my daughter Value purpose and worth inside that's all that matters in salvation
Lisa Marie never got over her father's death.

Australia has one that sings more genres naturally than Elvis did and I love Elvis. I love ours too and he is known as the best there is.
@@karenstrong8887I highly doubt that....and I've heard all the so-called challengers to Elvis' talent. There's no-one in the world equal or above Elvis Presley.
@@karenstrong8887 so what’s your singers name..
WELL I DIDN'T HEAR THE NAME????.
The Best
Play don’t cry daddy by Elvis and Lisa Marie ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Anything with Elvis is the best and his gospel is amazing. Lisa Marie is wonderful also
she broke down 3 or 4 times trying to get through this song but know thy are together
LIsa was 9 when her dad died, struggled her whole life
Can’t listen without crying.
It's so sad how they both died so young 😢 she had so little time with him and yet her life was dictated by his legacy x RIP to them both
her son passed 2 years before her so she, her son and her father are now together!
This was done so beautifully.
This is my favorite duet of theirs, and one of my favorite songs of both of theirs.
Lisa mentioned when she recorded it that it took a long time to record it. Specially since she was hearing him singing along in her headphones. It was very emotional. She said she felt her dad with her as she recorded these songs. Very beautiful song.
Elvis got 3 Grammys for his Gospel music and 1 lifetime achivement Grammy award at the age of 36 !!!
Beautiful duet. So glad Lisa made this album, this song before she passed. It is magical and so poignant. Thank you for this wonderful reaction and please do more Elvis, more excellence on your channel.❤❤❤
I totally agree! They are so wonderful together!
Elvis was solo in life ...... As it should be al-ways ...... Even with her ...... She hurts the song ..... Sorry ..... I grow up with Elvis ..... That's the way I see it ..... And if you really listen ..... REALLY LISTEN ...... It's true ......
Lisa was a huge talent in her own right. Elvis would have been soo proud of his little girl. RIP you beautiful girl.

The more you learn about Elvis...the more amazed you'll be!
So sad to lose Lisa. She had experienced so much pain in her life.
Because not only is she with her daddy but she's also with her son
I played this at my mom's funeral. She loved Elvis, especially his gospel songs.
so Hearthbroken

Lisa had a beautiful voice and she was unique in all ways. Wrote her own music. You should listen to it really.
YES! Please React to Nobody Noticed It, Lights Out, (both great songs about her dad) and Just A Dream ( one of her love songs for the love of her life, Michael Jackson, and my favorite song of hers.)

A friend and good colleague of Elvis once said: "Elvis really loved people. It was a gift from God that he could make people happy"!
RIP both, god bless their souls

Wow Lisa's got one hell of a voice just like her daddy
This is extremely touching and moving. May EP and LP and their beloveds continue to rest in blessed peace🙏🏼 💯⚡❤
This is in fact a church hymn
She has a strong voice with some of Elvis' qualities. I love the huskiness in her tone. This duet is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
I know this song by him and many others but this is by all my favorite.
I don't like most of the after dead duets, but they sound so good together.
Loved your reaction!
Thank you!💚☀️
She had a beautiful voice too. So sad she has passed away, This gave me goosebumps listening to them both ❤️ I cried
LOVE one of his Duets with his Daughter. She has two others songs she sung with her Dad.
❤❤❤❤❤

As always Elvis is Elvis, and Lisa's voice adds that extra love❤❤!
The King of Rock and Roll. Elvis is also one of the best gospel singers. you realize Elvis has been inducted into 17 Music Halls or Halls of Frame.
