I can’t think of a Fracture Sounds library that I wouldn’t want to own and use. Everything they offer is top notch. Trails is another prime example and such a great value. Gotta dig deep and get this one while it’s $99.
The signature bundle with Petrichor, trails and woodchester piano seems like a super good deal as well, the woodchester piano has become my new go to felt piano! They do create some amazing sample libraries!
Just purchased after watching the launch and will download tomorrow once I’ve freed up space. Top marks for getting a review out so quick…liked your delivery and style so subscribed 👍
Thank you and enjoy, it’s a great library and a good investment, thanks for the comment! I was fortunate enough to have early access from Fracture Sounds, I try and keep on top the latest stuff! 😊
Good review of another impressive library from FS. A very similar UI to Petrichor from FS in collaboration with Dan Keen which works really well for me. If I didn’t already own DK’s Soft String Textures, which I use a lot, I’d be buying this. Not sure I can justify both at this time, though I am very tempted by the intro price, so who knows after a bit more research, I may press the buy button! Thanks for the detailed review.
Just bought Trails a couple of days ago and I agree with you on the default reverb being too much. The first thing I did on my first play through was dial it back. The quality of the samples is so high that imo they didn’t need to gild the lilly so much - they sound BEAUTIFUL dry or semi-dry. I guess the decision was made that swamped-in-reverb sounds “cinematic”. Still a great library as always from FS. Box Factory would be in my top 5 of everything I own.
Great review..of a super library . The crew at FS always seem to roll out wonderful instruments. The sample quality and sonic manipulation features in all the libraries they offer is always superb , amongst the best out there in my opinion. My first impressions are that I can definitely use this instrument, particularly for under and over score and also as part of an ensemble with Petrichlor . The overall value of the library is boosted by the inclusion of the versatile Dulcichord and Granular instrument. 👏👏🙏🏿🙏
Thanks for the comment ☺️ I really do enjoy Fracture Sounds attention to detail, and the quality rivalling that of bigger and longer established companies, I look forward to what they come up with next.
Orchestras and string sections in particular were the first iteration of FM synthsesis? How else can one articulate that sentiment? How many colours are there and how many does one need?
This sounds great, reminds me a bit of the Osterhouse stuff, but aren't these kinds of libraries married to a particular place in time? I can't imagine this kind of soundtrack stuff will remain in vogue for long.
@braunhausmedia: This library is quite universal and with any imagination, can be utilised across many many genres. The only limitation is your imagination. Most people look for the good in these libraries, where as there are those who only look at the negatives. Much like peoples lives I suppose.
Thanks for taking a look!
Great product! Keep up the great work, I look forward to your next library! 😁

Glad you're enjoy it, you can always tell the quality by the dry sound! I've recently got Box factory, a lot of fun! I'll have to do a video on it

As both a programmer and a keyboard player, I am very confused when I read about a new "string library."
Orchestras and string sections in particular were the first iteration
of FM synthsesis? How else can one articulate that sentiment? How many colours are there and how many does one need?
@@HeeBeeGeeBee392 Thr term "String" means something else in computer science. 🙂
@@pikuma I'm more used to the term "character array", I guess.😁
@@HeeBeeGeeBee392 And you're not wrong. 😅 char*.

Hard too tell, stuff goes in and out of fashion but I can see this used in a couple of different ways, in a couple of different genre’s
