Another great video! Just a note, at 40.50 you mention that the slide should say "pro-coagulative, instead of anti-coagulative" but the slide is correct.. also at end of the paragraph it says that "warfarin necrosis" is treated with FFP... you can also administer Vitamin K to reverse the effects of Warfarin! or maybe give them LMWH?

Just a note to the Vit K comment... It will take a much longer time to reverse the effects because replacing Vit K will allow the enzyme, epoxide reductase, to begin to work. Intuitively, the physiologic effect is down stream and therefor delayed.
You're correct in the statement about warfarin's pro-coagulative effect; to expand on this, it happens because warfarin blocks the action of protein C and protein S before reducing the levels of the clotting factors in the blood. I've heard both ways, depending on the source, of how to fix the issue. The first being to start Heparin or LMW heparin at the same time because it takes three days for the warfarin to "start working". The second being what Dr. Bolin said, start it three days after. I guess, depending on the clinical picture could warrant one over the other.
Thanks for the videos, Dr. Bolin!
