    I think the mnemonic below is a little easier to remember, but both are good

    Arthritis
    Malar rash
    Neurologic symptoms
    Immunologic symptoms
    Mouth/mucous ulcers
    Senovitis
    Hematologic symptoms

    Question for you what if ANA negative but anti-smooth muscle and anti mitochondrial may be responsible? What would be next test and or if any? PT anemia, rash on back and when becomes ill slight molar rash starts to form on face. Chronic UTI's Ana negative? Rash on back has been confirmed by biopsy as LE. PT went to RA MD he said it was not lupus you don't get it there. Recently had to switch MD. If its been biopsied and confirmed I think the MD is wrong. also chronic fatigue. Just trying to figure out what is going on. Its hard to find anyone who cares and wants to figure it out. Thanks for any advice. Great crash coarse!!! Learned quite a bit.

      I am being worked up for SLE as well and interestingly I had a proximal row carpectomy 2 years ago because of having Kienbocks Disease !!! How are the 2 possibly connected? Do you know?

    Thank you for your videos, they are very helpful. One question: at 16:37 do you say "hyperalbuminemic"? Why is Prednizone connected with albumin?

    • @miltono7523
      @miltono7523 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      decreased albumin levels means there will be increased free unbound prednisone in the body leading to increased prednisone side effects

    • @xDomglmao
      @xDomglmao 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not only related to prednisone but to many drugs in general (albumin can act as a drug carrier)

    It's called lupus because the lesions without treatment became so severe that they were thought to be caused by a wolf's bite.
