What's up everyone!
Where should we visit in Indonesia?
Thanks for watching! 😊🧡
Jogjakarta or Bandung! You can take the long distant train from Gambir Station. Ticket can be booked online.
Every single city in java/Indonesia you should to visited all have different unique food, blend with the people also
If you are still in Java, I recommend you to visit Yogyakarta for a very local & traditional food experience.
Go to depok you will find out something you've never seen
@@stephenhawking.for foreigners, Depok is comparable to Ohio, it’s a city where weird things happen.
oh no,you mistake again that is not lontong, that is ketupat. lontong is wrap in banana leaf cylinder shape. ketupat is warp in coconut leaf with diamond shape.
Thank you for respecting our small humble local business, unlike some of our food vloggers here, who loves to roast small businesses for the sake of getting higher views and ad-sense.
Our pleasure! We always love promoting smaller businesses in the hopes that our videos will increase customers, especially when the food is delicious😉😉 thanks for watching!
wow, for last couple of year, i think your the first foreign youtuber visit and taste street food on south Jakarta area, even try the bakso on gandaria and nasi liwet (not single foreign youtuber even know this place), bubur aiyam barito , gultik bulungan 👍👍👏👏❤❤ mostly they visit kota tua, monas , sabang never touch south of jakarta area. You missed the famous Sate Ayam RSPP. FYI if the rice cake wrap with banana leaf we called Lontong but if wrap it with coconut leaf we called Ketupat , on Sate Padang they used coconut leaf on the rice cake called ketupat 😉.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! We like to explore as much as possible and try local foods off the beaten track. Appreciate the clarification of the ketupat 😉
Almost 50 years here, local Indonesian, and still eager to try new indonesian dishes on every travel. Always there new dishes. Why are there so many? 🙂
because there are many islands in Indonesia, there are many different dishes from each island
We agree!! There's so many to try you could spend a lifetime attempting to taste them all😄 thanks a lot for watching and commenting :)
Bubur ayam Barito
Gultik Mahakam
Sate Padang santa
Food signature in Kebayoran Baru district
Enjoy Indonesia.
Bring your feeling
Thank you so much😊
Amazing food tour!! The bakso and bubur ayam made my mouth water 😋
Keep up the great work guys 💪🔥
Thank you so much! Those we loved 😍
Indonesia food will make anybody mouth water, very spicy. My Indonesia friends cook mine with out the pepper.
I usually begin my morning with bubur ayam (chicken pourridge). And bakso is also my favorite dish. For the local dish of Jalarta, I would recommend Soto Betawi.
Mmmm, no better way to start the day than with a nice hot porridge 😊
We actually tried Soto Betawi in our first Indonesia video! Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/jPTyQ_nrbKM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QZ9A8lILdy1JIA_S
Thanks so much for watching and commenting :)
Bakso , ayam penyet, ayam bakar , pecal lele 😋🫠🤤 i love Indonesian food look simple but flavourful 😍 🤝 from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Hello to you in Malaysia! We loved Indonesian food as well, so tasty and flavourful🤤😋 thanks for watching and commenting!
Hello there! 😊
This a very nice episode with local noodle and rice favorites. I couldn't keep up with the names this time though, but they make a list of something to look up for in the future.
This time, I am most interested their rice chicken porridge and find out how same/different it is from Filipino arroz caldo, apart from the toppings.
Well done, you two! See you next meal. ✨️🫰🏻🫶🏻
Hey Cris! The porridge was so good, and quite similar to Filipino arroz caldo. We always love dishes like this. See you next meal! 🧡
Nice exploration and research. So valuable information. If you go to Central Java and Jogjakarta, the food will be on the sweeter side with palm sugar. Enjoy your time in Indonesia!
Thank you so much for watching and for the suggestion! We're loving exploring the food here in Indonesia 😊
Indonesia will always improve, Jakarta is very fun to visit, soon there will be a very magnificent capital of Indonesia, namely IKN on the island of Kalimantan which is very beautiful, elegant and charming. Indonesia is indeed a comfortable place to stop and stay because of its friendliness, culture, pluralism and food rich in spices, wow amazing
We agree, Indonesia is a wonderful place to visit with so much to offer and so many incredible dishes to try. We love exploring the country 😊 thanks so much for watching
I think you guys mistaken the version of nasi liwet in that vid is from west java version not solo version..the rest of the vids was great and hit the spot on..thx for reviewing indonesia delicancies ..keep makein it you guys doing great ..
Oh really? Thank you for the clarification. There are so many versions of different dishes, we always try our best to get it right, but Indonesian food is just so diverse!! It's nice to learn about anything we're unsure of, so thanks for that, and thanks for watching!! 😊
3:20 The rough looking ones are called "bakso urat" (Muscle/Tendon) . But actually, it's not really tendons nor muscle, but meat that attached to the bones.
Usually the meat on that area feels softer but crunchier, therefore Indonesian people like it.😊
Oh that's very interesting, thanks for the info! We really enjoyed it as well, so meaty and flavourful😋🤤 thanks for watching!
Micin obat ganteng diindonesia, bule pun terpesona😂
Welcome to Indonesia !! Don’t forget eat NASI PADANG since you still there !!
Thank you so much! We actually tried Nasi Padang in our first video😉 check it out! th-cam.com/video/jPTyQ_nrbKM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3DFA8dkmAP0Y3Ou1

That's not cheese stick on your bubur ayam. That's garlic stick. Yummy. 😊
In this case it was cheese stick😉
g'day...
thank q for mouthful coverage.
just a little information about solo, this city is at central java province
good luck and keep the coverage up and make many viewers mouth watering and dying to visit Indonesia and more specifically jakarta and taste those food stalls
Thanks so much for watching and commenting, Leonardi! We hope our videos will bring many visitors to the city 😊
I like how you guys research beforehand so you’d know what you’re getting, but unfortunately what you have here at 11:18 is not nasi liwet from Solo in Central Java. You might have noticed that the rice wasn’t cooked in coconut milk.
It can be confusing even for us Indonesians, but there are two nasi liwets:
1.) The first one is rice that is cooked in coconut milk and chayote, called sega liwet ꦱꦼꦒꦭꦶꦮꦼꦠ꧀ in Javanese, it hails from Central Java and it has that creamy and sweet flavor profile. It has that “wet” look to it.
2.) The other one is sangu liwet ᮞᮍᮥᮜᮤᮝᮨᮒ᮪ in Sundanese which is cooked with aromatics but usually without coconut milk, it comes from West Java and that’s the one that you had. It has a “dry” look and is commonly enjoyed with salted fish, fried stuff and fresh veggies on the side.
Unfortunately, both are called “nasi liwet” in Indonesian (our national language), hence the confusion. Hope you’ll be able to try sega liwet next time, it’s very different from sangu liwet.
Cheers!
Thank you for the info, Kilan. That's interesting to know there are two versions, and definitely can make it confusing that they both have the same name. We love learning about the foods that we are trying, so we appreciate the clarification. We hope we can try the other version as well, we'll have to look out for it as we travel around. Thanks a lot for watching and for your comment 😊🧡
@@HungryTwoTravel you’re most welcome! I appreciate your passion when it comes to food. I hope my explanation didn’t make it even more confusing for you. It’s basically two different dishes from two different cultures which happened to be called the same name in another language.
It’s like how there’s jiaozi 餃子 (Chinese dumpling) and there’s knedlíky (Czech dumpling) but they’re both called “dumplings” in English. There’s sega liwet ꦱꦼꦒꦭꦶꦮꦼꦠ꧀ (Javanese coconut milk rice) and there’s sangu liwet ᮞᮍᮥᮜᮤᮝᮨᮒ᮪ (Sundanese aromatic rice) but they’re both called “nasi liwet” in Indonesian.
@KilanEatsandDrinks no that's super understandable and really interesting! You don't think of it that way but you're right. With so many different dialects in Indonesia it's understandable that that happens. Thanks again we love the info!
Vlog yang bagus guys😊
Thanks so much for watching!
Sri Lankan McDonald's video please ❤
😉😉😉
fyi the coarse looking meatball 03:02 is pentol urat (beef tendon meatball) and it's my favorite meatball 😋
Oh awesome thanks for the clarification! It was super delicious😋
Mantabbbb
Thanks for watching!
Kuliner di indonesia paling banyak macam nya dan enak semua❤
We agree!! Thanks for watching and commenting😊
You must visit Borobudur temple, east java, white crater....very beautiful.......
Thanks for the suggestions!
Aduhh itu harus tambah dengan tomate saus. Chili Saus dan kecap baru rasa basonya leker
Good to know!!
oh wow, that chicken porridge. Canadians just don't do savory porridge, I can't think of any but it does remind me of congee!
Yeah it only really exists in Canada as congee or something similar. It's so comforting though we love it😋
Bubur ayam is actually a common breakfast, along with nasi uduk and ketupat sayur. Bakso for breakfast is just weird... ??
Anyway, there are many kinds of bakso variation, try bakso malang (aka bakwan malang) originally from Malang city which contains many kinds inside a bowl, Bakso Aci, bakso Beranak (it's like what you ate but it has "children" inside hence the name beranak/giving birth.
Indonesian street food is something to explore...
Sometimes I eat bakso for breakfast 😂
I enjoyed the warm broth on a particularly colder days, it warms the body 😊
Thanks so much for the suggestions!! Appreciated😊
Tbf bakso as breakfast is not uncommon just that usually it’s homemade bakso rather than from the street vendor
Itu namanya lalapan paling cocok langsung di cocok dengan sambal
👍

Thanks for the suggestions!

Gultik here means gulai itik. Itik means small duck.
In this case gultik means Gulai Tikungan, and is a common kind of curry in the Blok M neighborhood of Jakarta. Thanks for watching!
❤❤❤❤❤ 😂😂🎉
Thanks so much for watching!
Actually, Solo in central java,
👍
If you are eating rice with hand, dont make your rice wet. So, dont mix it with sambal, it will be harder to grab.
😉😉
Solo is in CENTRAL Jawa.
👍
Team bubur ga diaduk melihat ini: 🙂🥲🙂🥲🙂🙂🥲🥲
😂😋
Solo is Central Java not West Java and u eat nasi Liwet Sukabumi style not a Solo style ^^
