    Never use that kind of product on a motorcycle. The centrifugal force when tires is rotating will find it's way to the edges and when you lean for a turn. You will slip and maybe fall. Speaking from experience.

    • @joemann7971
      @joemann7971 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cmd_76 you could. You just have to be careful not to apply it on it on the tread. You could apply the stuff on a rag and apply it that way. It much safer and more controlled. You could also do a bunch of circle 8s on the parking lot and lean that sucker to the edge in a controlled manner and wear off the compound before you take it on the track. You're far less likely to lose grip as a slow speed. Motojitsu has a video on how to break in an tire at low speeds. You could do the same to get rid of this stuff from the tread, even though you're not breaking in a tire. Its probably just easier and more practical to just use a rag and only apply it to the side walls. Applying it directly is kind of dumb.

      Hi,
      I can totally understand your concern. Thats the reason I went for the tire foam which is not a shiner but a tire cleaner which cleans all the dirt deposits & leaves no slippery residue which might cause any slip.
      Just like you I had the same doubt so I went ahead & enquired with the Armor all detailers. The response I got was Armor all makes 5 products for tire care & detailing. This tire foam sits lowest in their list with just cleaning & protection properties.
      Next we have
      4.Ultra shine foam.
      3.Extreme tire shine spray.
      2. Extreme tire shine aerosol.
      1. Extreme tire shine gel.
      All numbered according to the level of shine & slippery residue they provide.
      I hope I was able to clear this & I should have included this in the video. Thanks for commenting as this will help many other riders 👍

    • @thesportztourer
      @thesportztourer  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi +Ankur,
      The good thing is after foam application cleaning becomes very easy. Most of the mud/slush gets washed away just by directing the water hose on the tires. Silicon content in the foam acts as a anti-stick layer between the tire rubber & dirt. If you see the video when I was cleaning the tires the water & dirt just rolled off, this was after a month or more of foam application.

    • @thesportztourer
      @thesportztourer  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi +Saurabh, one can of foam lasts for about 4 complete application on both the tire or more (depends on how you use).
      Spraying intervals depends on how dirty your tires are. Most of the time a simple water wash takes away the dirt & your tire is back to good so no need to spray the foam every time it has a long lasting effect.

    • @saurabh7868
      @saurabh7868 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Saurabh Tamhankar
      No specific standard or km as this is something extra/special you are doing to make your tires look good & protect it from degradation & cracks.
      The foam leaves behind a thin layer on the tire which will not let any water or dirt to deposit easily. Even if there is any dirt deposit then you can easily clean it away.

      A lot depends upon your riding condition & environment. Assuming you ride on the city roads often, with all the dust & dirt accumulated on the paint surface. Wet wiping your bike every 2-3days & washing 2-3 times a month should be fine.
      Good to see you care so much for your bike 👍
      Ride safe.

    oh ok which variant is best bro carburettor OR fuel injection

    • @thesportztourer
      @thesportztourer  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey +shelden alexander, I have given my opinion on this before & here is it:
      I would still prefer the carburated variant here, specially in the case of RTR 200. The carburetor of Apache 200, which seems to be a perfect match in fuelling with the engine characteristics. For Apache 200 there is negligible difference in performance in between the carb & fi variant. More over I feel the service stations (of most of the manufacturers) in india are not trained enough to handle the Fi engines, hence most of the time the solution to any Fi related problem is just replacement & no repair.
      On my long rides I would definitely pick up a carb Apache 200 on which I can work on or any roadside mechanic can be asked for assistance.
      If this was a question on regular variant & ABS variant, I would have pushed you towards the ABS version as nothing comes above safety but for now carburetor version it is.
      Hopefully it would be helpful to you as well.

      Hi,
      I am using this tire foam from last 2 years & did some searching before getting it. The product here is a tire cleaner which cleans the tire surface & leaves a black look like the new tires. Armor, the company which specialises in tire cleaner & shine product have 5 products in this category i.e Armor all extreme tire shine gel, Armor all extreme tire shine spray, Armor all extreme tire shine aerosol, Armor all ultra shine tire foam & finally Armor all tire foam which I am using, all these products are mentioned in the order of shine & gloss they provide (from high to low as mentioned by company). The foam which we are using is last in the list & still is to be used only on sidewalls of tires & not on center. I wanted to get the extreme shine aerosol but when I contacted the detailing guys they recommended this tire foam as it doesn't leaves any slippery residue on the tire surface after use. You just have the deep black look after an hour of application.
      I hope you are doing fine and not injured.
