Japanese is more squiggly. Chinese is more blocky. Korean has many little circles. Easiest way to tell belgium is a small blue sign under the main one. Dutch north French south.

Yeah, Belgian license plates are very easy to tell apart. All of them are red, except in rare occasions they might be green, but don't worry, you'll likely never see those. Since I am from Belgium, I can instantly recognise the houses before even moving the camera. I have played against you in battle royale btw, my name is OliverP
Another India and Pakistan tip I'd like to add from my personal experience, In Pakistan if you see a board, you'd definitely see Urdu, English will be there too but along with Urdu. In India you'll rarely see Urdu, but even if you see Urdu somehow, it will be along with Hindi, and you will never see Hindi in Pakistan.
I'm a little confused about what you mean by "winter coverage". Is it that in some countries the streetview was done during winter, whereas most other countries it's done in the warmer months? Is that the distinction? So if you see snow you think, oh the streetview images were done during winter here, which only happened in "hungary/bulgaria/whatever" so that must be where we are?? Is that right?
The only time I got Pakistan I recognized it fairly easily because of the arabic writing (Urdu is the most used language and it uses sort of arabic writing system)
Just to add a few more things that you probably know: The best way to instantly recognize switzerland is by the window shutters. they might have them in other countries but not in that abundance. Peru also has flag colored stickers on taxis and buses. The italian style licences plates can also be found in Albania.

I'm Brazilian and that stripy pole on yellow and red is common here too, its doesn't mean that the tip isn't useful most of the time, just don't be 100% sure with just that
I had an odd one today. I looked at the car, and it had a roof rack and the Ghana tape on it. quick guess and it was wrong. moved up a bit and found a .fr domain, and sure enough it was France. All I could wonder is who brought the Ghana Google car to France!

Yup, exactly. :) It's usually Bulgaria & Hungary but it can be a few other countries as well.

It must have been Réunion island. It has a tape on the back bar of the car. Ghana has it on the front bar. :)
