As an Illinois fan I think it's extremely impressive how much improvement Nebraska has made to its basketball program in just a few years. ILL
I am a Nebraska fan and I thank you for saying this. As you know this is exciting for, we Cornhusker fans, as Nebraska does not have a very good basketball tradition. Fortunately, Nebraska did not really hurt themselves today in terms of seeding by losing to the Big Ten No. 2 seed. Illionois played very well in the second half.

As a Nebraska fan I’m gutted from the loss but we played a great game can hold our heads high. Kudos to Illinois they got a really good team and played a great 2nd half! Good game boys.

T.s. was an NBA player last year truthfully
Shannon is great at running OSU players over and never getting called for a foul. Definite lottery pick.

History will tell you a team that doesn’t play good defense doesn’t make it past the first weekend. One cold shooting game and it’s over.

@@Guevon_PajaroIllinois. Offensive efficiency is 4th best in all of D1. Defense is 81st. The term "defense travels" applies especially well in the NCAA tournament.
Keisei Tominaga and Cornhuskers gave Illinois a really hard time despite losing. I never thought Nebraska would have a winning season in the basketball. I couldn't believe my eyes and they really developed a lot this year. I'm glad that Illinois survived another upset scare, but definitely needs to bolster the defense in case offense doesn't go as planned.
I'm a North Carolina fan and IMHO, no team can outscore the Illini. Unless Illini get jobbed by the refs (like they were in the 2005 UNC National Championship game), the Championship is theirs.
Ohio state pretty much outscored them but they had 19 more free throws and

Nebraska’s interior Defense is impressive, Illinois couldn’t penetrate the paint the 1st half. Illinois found this out the 1st half and the Illini were lucky they were hitting the 3’s and short range shots. That was the difference. Nebraska will win some games in the NCAA Tournament.

Man, the Huskers are a dangerous team. Glad we got that win and don’t have to play them again. They’ve got 3+ shooters that can get hot from 3, and that’s always a dagger in March. Looking forward to seeing them upset some teams in the coming week(s)!
Nebraska done came a long way
illinois is up to a #3 seed in Bracketology. With one more win Illini hits the #2 line.
UConn, Houston,North Caroline, Arizona, Iowa St.and Purdue, Tennessee, Marquette who they lost too are your 1 and 2 seeds
Real slim chance we'll be a 2 but a 3 is good too imo. Avoid the 4-5 and that's accomplished 4sure.
My Badgers are gonna be up there too. They were great against Purdue today. Hepburn and Storr had fire today, 22 and 20 points, respectively.
