Illinois is WAY underrated! (I’m a die hard KU fan btw) that preseason game we lost @ Illinois was legit (even tho it didn’t count) we got beat in almost every aspect of that game.
To see Illinois make a potential final four run would not be surprising to me at all!

I'm from central Illinois and this Illini team looks exactly like an Illinois team is supposed to. TOUGH. There's a lot of adjectives to throw in there but the mentality is: PLAY HARD, HUSTLE, GO, FIGHT, TAKE IT TO EM, NEVER EVER STOP!!! And then just a relentless effort that will keep comin and comin. No Fear. F**k pretty. THIS IS A WAR!!! Win or lose they're going down fighting. I couldn't be more proud.

Have to figure out how to get consistent production from the 4-5 spots. All the talk of how Illinois' guard play was going to be a problem, I'm thinking their bigs might be their downfall. Hawkins and Dainja can look really good at times, and others they are simply unplayable on both sides of the ball. Guerrier would look a hell of a lot better if any of his shots started falling. Hansberry is a bull but is understandably struggling with the size and athleticism jump. All are capable of being great, none can you for sure say they won't have a terrible game.

Great point! The guards look fantastic, the frontcourt is definitely the liability right now.

Kidd carried them awhile. Ya, definitely a pure guard too. GO ILLINI.

Coleman played really good defensively, Goldin had a good hook shot that’s always tough to guard, especially when the guys taller. He didn’t play that bad

Hawkins has always been prone to turnovers and lackluster decisions but you have to admit 90% of the time he makes a clutch play when we need him most. That three towards the end of the game that led to us pulling away is a prime example. I’m nervous when he’s on the floor but he often proves me wrong time and time again.
