Camino de Santiago: Days 4 and 5 of Camino Portugués (rest time at Viana do Castelo)

Day 4 didn't go as planned, because of an unexpected food poisoning right after a long day of walking. Our bodies gave up and demanded rest. We took a Bolt ride to Viana do Castelo where we originally planned to use as a rest day and we slept for almost 12 hours.
Day 5: Once we felt better, we ended up exploring Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo and Museu de Artes Decorativas. And of course, hiked up to see the Santuário de Santa Luzia, which is a must if you're visiting Viana do Castelo.
Great news is that we are both feeling better and we are ready for the 26+km day tomorrow! 😊

Santa Luzia was such a great respite for us after a brutal, rainy, cold day. The showers were exquisite and we were able to do laundry and get everything (except my wife’s shoes) dry. Sorry to hear you got food poisoning. Yikes.
