    I absolutely love your content, I literally just ordered Goodbye to Lupus for my mom and I 👏👏👏 I was diagnosed with Lupus antibodies, SLE, and Osteoarthritis about 4 years ago. My mom was diagnosed with Lupus over 30yrs ago, and recently just got diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She didn't elaborate exactly what Pulmonary Fibrosis was, so I was thinking that it was just some respiratory disease that could be healed or sustained with some breathing treatments, or something of that nature. But after doing some research on it for the last couple of days, I was horrified after what I had found out, and haven't stopped crying since. God knows I do not want to lose my mom and every time I think about it, my chest tightens up. I would love to have a consultation with you on ways that I can help my mom live a lot longer with this progressive disease.

    WARNING: Bone broth made me seriously ill. I got a hair mineral analysis (after doctors could find nothing) and found I had tin poisoning and bismuth poisoning. These readings were literally off the chart, and caused other mineral imbalances. Apparently, bones harbor heavy metals, and when you boil up the bones, these toxic metals are released. They are now stuck in my brain. I don't know how to get them out. And I have neurological deficiencies that I will probably always have. Despite being a qualified lawyer, its part of the reason I could not practice again. Without going into detail, there were other severe consequences of drinking bone broth. The price was huge. I haven't watched this video. Just the title is too painful, but I wanted to warn others.

      BOne broth should be made from free grazing animals where not even the land is fumigated. If you drink bone broth from animals from any food store not free grazed, yes, you are driinking toxins, but good quality bone broth from free grazed animals is very good for our health. I have seen people with arthritis, fibromialgia and other autoinmune sickness get much better

    Wow! I love you. Passion for compassion, love of humanity, and the fierceness and clarity of a true healer. But how could everyone in the scientific and medical communities have missed something so simple? What about black seed oil?
    There are so many theories, and contradictions in our beginning knowledge of healing humans. Obviously we are primates, and so raw fruits, and veggies are our natural diet, but I do know people who have healed their cancer, or arthritis with the Keto diet.
    It drives me crazy, as I don’t understand how that is possible. All of my instinct is to follow your advice.

    Thank you so much for doing these videos. Your story is so inspiring! I have several chronic illnesses and whilst I have felt generally much better on an almost vegan, gluten and dairy free diet, I am struggling now with continued post-concussion syndrome. I am being told that I need to eat animals protein and fish omega 3 to give my brain a chance to heal. It's been 1.5 years since my accident. I have persistent headaches that my almost-vegan diet is obviously not addressing. I don't know what to do. Do you have any ideas?

    • @BrookeGoldnerMD
      @BrookeGoldnerMD  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Elka Marushka Skurnik You definitely need to get more nutrition, and there is no nutrition that’s good for the brain that comes from meat or dairy. There’s a great book called the Alzheimer’s Solution written by two neuroscientists who discovered that plant-based diet is optimal for brain health and memory.

    Thanks for a very informative video! I honestly wonder how many Drs. are knowledgable in nutrition and if it's covered the way it should be in medical school. My husband has osteo arthritis and is due for double knee replacement soon. I would think orthopedic doctors should advocate better nutrition when they see all these knee, and hip replacements they need to do. They are becoming so common.....it's almost like taking out tonsils! My husband also has siriosis sp? and I think both he and I should be seriously considering a plant based diet. So should many others! I've been watching and enjoying your videos. Thanks for making this information available through YT!

      Yes the information is spreading far too slowly but at a faster pace than ever before! I am speaking at a conference in Utah soon hosted by Orthopedists who found that when they operate on knees, people who eat plants have healthy tissue in their joint, and people who eat meat and dairy have horrific inflammation in their joint. It sparked them to start researching this issue and now they hold conferences and invite people like me to come teach how to get healthy on plants! Times are changing!

      While omega 6 is an essential fatty acid, we get excess arachidonic acid from overdosing on omea-6 rich foods like meats and eggs and dairy and oils. What we need is to stop increasing the arachidonic acid and instead work on building up omega-3 fatty acids for healthier brains and bodies and immune systems.

    Watch Kiss the Ground on Netflix please. Then revisit this subject with more information on how the agricultural system functions. I don't think you're exactly wrong in the conclusions you're drawing from from advocating a plant based diet. But as a scientist you surely must understand how double blind studies work and the fact that every single variable that is included in a study (even a purely anecdotal observational one) matters. Glyphosate is one of the most ubiquitous chemicals known to mankind and has exploded in use over the past 30 years (along with auto immune conditions). Environmental toxins like Glyphosate/Roundup surely has much more to do with metabolic function than the combination of fats, proteins and sugars we consume. Of course it all matters ultimately. But first things first.. lets start the conversation with what's going on in the soil and agricultural system at large and work our way up. Check out the work of MIT Researcher Dr. Stephanie Seneff or Triple Board Certified MD Dr. Zach Bush and they'll give you a much more technical breakdown than I ever could.

    What about Jordan Peterson and his daughter on beef only diets to heal their autoimmune diseases? Is it the ketogenic diet there that helped them? The absence of the processed carbs?

    • @flattlandermontgomery1524
      @flattlandermontgomery1524 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are videos showing that Miss Peterson contradicts herself and lies about some of her results. Often times the ketogenic diet seems to be helping people because it is an extreme elimination diet eliminating most of the foods that cause immediate symptoms but unfortunately the meat that people are eating is progressing certain disease processes and merely masking symptoms. For example in spite of claims, it does not reverse diabetes. When someone stops eating carbohydrates, their blood sugar does go down because they are not putting sugar in the blood, but this does not address what caused the diabetes, it merely treats the symptoms. The meat and saturated fat continue to progress the disease process while masking the main symptom which is high blood sugar. Lowering blood sugar is a good thing because high blood sugar itself is damaging to the body, however, while suppressing that one part of the disease process, it is allowing other less detectable damage to occur until it progresses to a dangerous level. Dr. Goldner has videos about this. You can search her channel for the keyword "ketogenic diet"

EPA and DHA are essential fatty acids, which are found in animal fats. The conversion rate from ALA (plant fats) into EPA and DHA is less than 5%. This is why most vegans are mentally ill, because they are literally starving their brains, which is primarily made of cholesterol.

      @BrookeGoldnerMD  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It's actually not the case. I have helped many people heal from inflammatory illness using flax and chia seeds. There is no pathway in which they are inflammatory. That said, when people have inflamed guts, any seeds can be irritating, so when people have inflamed guts, for example from bone broth and other inflammatory foods, we work on repairing and resting the gut first so they can tolerate healing foods. Thanks for the comment!

    • @karlmuller1976

      Thanks for the response. No offence but there seems to be a HUGE amount of information from doctors that support bone broth for gut healing, I have never heard anyone say it has caused leaky gut before. I have M.E.and gut issues, I have no problem with broth but I do with Flax and Chia.
      I recently bought your book for my mother in law who has Lupus. I have also been trying to incorporate and try some of your green smoothies etc. I like to be open minded about different diets and try different things that might help. I am quite sceptical when you say that Bone Broth and eggs are more likely to kill you.. Humans have eaten meat since day dot, we are biologically designed to eat meat and though you are right that meat can cause inflammation it seems that you are being selective in your information because lectins and phytic acid found in nuts and seeds can also be extremely inflammatory as can nightshade vegetables.
      I am also a little concerned about the high amounts of kale in the green smoothies... there have been many people suffering thyroid problems because of the recent trends of eating large amounts of kale proccessed in smoothies. Do you not think It is far more natural for us as humans to eat meat than it is to eat large amounts of kale that we would not naturally eat unless it was processed and sweetened with fruit?.
      I think your story is amazing and you seem very sincere and genuine, (hence why I bought your book), however I do feel that the one size fits all approach doesnt work. What worked for you will not always work for other people, and demonising meat and eggs (foods that humans have always eaten) is not productive for people that for instance might not tolerate beans nuts and seeds well and might need eggs and meat for protein etc.
      So happy that for you that your health has improved and that you are so passionate about helping others get their health back. I wish mine would, I have tried everything. There is so much contradictory information. I have been trying the wahls protocol before.. her story is similiar to yours , she was a doctor with MS and she reversed her illness with diet.. her diet is similiar to yours in regards to consuming lots of fresh healthy vegetables, however it contradicts yours in the respect that she emphasises the importance of meats, especially organ meats and bone broths .She has a lot of science to back up her views.
      Thanks again for your reply x

    • @BrookeGoldnerMD
      @BrookeGoldnerMD  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      An inflamed gut will have bizzare reactions to even healthy foods. You may be reacting the the seed itself because of gut inflammation which is being perpetuated by the broth. There is a lot of conflicting information and thinking on this, which is why I teach what actually is healing real people, not just what I read in articles or think might happen. I have seen too many people get deathly ill on the bone broth who immediately recovered when they stopped it and switched to my plant based regimen.

    Doctor, I have a question: Where are all the prospering healthy vegans hiding...?
    No, but seriously though, my science know-how about these metabolic pathways is just too novice to even begin to understand or analyze what you're showing me.
    But what does strikes me as very weird is how you claim that seafood leads to inflammation since almost everyone is agreeing upon the high omega 3 content in high fatty fish sources. Seems very counterintuitive.
    Also, the reasoning behind the carnivorous diet is coming from the fact that ALL plants have evolved defense mechanisms, helping them to stay alive aka not being digested and eaten by animals. These chemical protections make them very hard for us as humans to break down and digest. Pectins, gluten and oxalates etc.
    There's science behind eating less vegetables also doctor. I'm all ears though.

      Idk about the top athletes cause I haven't looked into it but, as far as I know, these "vegan powerlifters" are often on some juice or supplementing with a bunch of stuff. Am I off?
      I'm all for science but, let's be real doc, a lot of the science out there is either financed by people making money on specific results or it's a rather small sample.
      I'm not saying that about all science but a lot.
      I'm open to learn though and I will listen and weigh arguments against each other.

The conversion rate from plant fats (ALA) into EPA and DHA is less than 5%. This is why vegans do not have optimal brain function or development.
    It's alarming that you would propagate such an unhealthy diet. The real issue is with glyphosate, commonly known as Round Up. • @BrookeGoldnerMD
      @BrookeGoldnerMD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's important to understand the history in the right context. Did some tribal human ancestors eat meat? Yes. However when we study the composition of their remains, scientists have determined meat was a tiny fragment of their diet, likely only eaten when the weather limited the supply of plant foods. It was emergency food. Even Paleo remains showed they ate mostly plants. There are no nutrients in meat that are not better found in plants, and any nutrients in the meat people eat came from the animal eating plants. When you do a deep dive into the science AND the cases of people who have had recovery from health, it is shown that the closer people get to a plant based diet, the better and more fulminant the healing. For example, give up dairy, health improves. Give up meat, health improves more. Some stop at improvement without going all the way to the finish line because they are happy with the results, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't have more results going the rest of the way. I work hard to teach the public the truth which comes not just from research but on 1000s of results of disease reversal over the past decade. I hope that helps.

      Real meat and real dairy has many many benefits. Our ancestors would more so eat veggies because good nutrition was hard to come by. Trust me, when and if they could get their hands on some meat it was highly praised and treated their body’s very well. You seem like a very insightful person. I’m not trying to discredit any of your findings but simply adding too it. Much love.
