Your rhythm is insane. Complete control, transcendental music. Incredible how one hears many voices simultaneously in your playing
I hear the flutter of moth wings and the the throbbing heart of an artist here. You are a frame drum mystic, Yshai!
You are clearly technically proficient but what struck me most about your playing is how soulful & heart pulse voicings you have... you made it sing, very nice
as duke ellington answered when asked how to tell what is good music,
"good music sounds good."
thanks!
@@yafterman thanks for treating us to your contribution. Glad to reacquaint myself after eight years.
I- this is such a wholesome interaction, what the heck??
An epic, epic masterpiece. I cannot believe what I am looking at. It's like you "care" about the sound, the drum, the everything. May the world be filled with people like you!
That was the coolest thing I've seen in a long time I love those 10 finger rolls simply amazing

True bcaz he added legs rhydhm too
Means music and dance both,or in our language it's Shiva n Shakti together which makes it complete and forever soulful ❤
It's 03:50 am in here right now. I was so stressfull and can't sleep. I closed my eyes and and just listened your fingers magic sound. Now I feel satisfite. I can sleep now in a peace...

ohh man, that was magical!! I don't know your background man, but you should definitely play on same shamanic festival. Your music has a natural easiness in taking into another world.

Please post more. I love your style. Great video.
It's the (Universal Drum)! Farsi, Gaelic, Mongolian, Kurdish, Cree, SikSika, etc! All use this basic style of hand drum! Even the Suomi in Scandinavia use one but it's more oval in shape.
Great work Yshai. a fantastic display of skills....
i like the way the composition progresses and develops

çok başarılı! congratulations.. absolutely beautiful and inspiring work.. in a world where the technique is mistreated and used only for show, this approach puts it back in place: technique for the sake of musicality and fine expression.. tebrikler Yshai!

shakmo thank you!
Have you found out any sources?
Amazing technique and soul.
And just for fun: Holy polyrhythms Batman!
(in responce to yannis13:)
If you had the chance to meet this guy, you would probably see he is way too modest.
seems like an honored dude.
by the way dear artist, you have an awsome style . you should be very confident:)
Wow! Great performance and great sound. What was the position of the microphones for this recording? I'm having trouble getting a nice framedrum recording. I've been experimenting with two condenser mics, one in front and one at the bac, both at an angle, aiming insid towards the rim, both a bit more than half a meter away. This gave me the best result, but I'm still not happy. The recoding lacks overtones and the ring and sharpness you hear while playing it. Thanx!
Can you post some of the clips from your IG?? Those short little solo lessons are 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes i will!
@@yafterman Awesome! Thanks, man! 🙌🏼
