Great video thanks. FYI, you don't want to touch the bulb. The oil from your fingers will shorten the life of the bulb as the oil causes hot spots. Holding the bulb with a paper towel or disposable non powdered glove would be recommended.
That doesn't matter at all here, this instructional has you changing the whole the unit and not even touching the bulb. You're right, technically, but nobody following this video would be touching the bulb...
Great video. My original owner manual recommends taking the car to the dealer for this job. Imagine how much that would cost! Thanks for saving me some big bucks.

Great video. This also works on the Baja. I couldn't seem to find this in the owner's manual. I wished I had watched this video before I removed the adjustment screw! I thought it held the lens in place! DUH!
I’m currently trying to remove the whole fog light but I don’t know what size socket to use to remove the bolts I’ve used multiple different sizes but can’t find the right one or I might just not have the right size socket available
i hv a 98. on owner's manual section 9-7, it says tilt the protector counterclockwise for 10 degrees and it should come off.. hope that's helpful and good luck!

Those are the same clips that held my 1983 Pontiac 6000 fenders on. I was amazed how cheap cars are made.
My 2002 Outback needed a new fog light and I couldn't seem to find a video on how to replace the whole light. Thanks so much!!

Great help on my Baja. The 2005 Baja Turbo has three Philips head screws holding the bulb in; not a twist to remove.

Hi- I have a 99 outback and need to replace the glass and bulb of the fog light. It has that cage over it. How does that come off?

Thanks- i got it off.. I took the unit out of the car- then there were some tabs to lift up- that was about it.
Does this work with Subaru Baja ?
This would apply for a 03 subie outback legacy too right?
