Fantastic review of a great historical garment, Diego. It was very detailed and informative. After watching it and seeing the measurements and fit I decided to get my LVC Type I in size L (180cm, 83kg dude here) and to wash it slightly to get that a little cropped but roomy look and I will see what happens, if needed I can repeat. I also ordered LVC Type II in M and plan on wearing it raw for a certain period and after that to give it the slightest wash possible. My Trucker Type III is from the premium clothing line and it is a great fitting M too. Thanks a lot and keep it up!
Thank you!! Enjoy your new jacket!!!
Love it! The cinch back is just so dang cool. I’ve got the same idea to get all the Levi’s styles of jackets!
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Last 2-3 years in Japan, type I jackets were all the rage. everyone was making one (particularly the stripped down war-years version), now the craze is peaked, I'm guessing now they're pretty hard to find new.
You are right Type I and II are selling like hotcakes, and the quality it is very good (Japan-made). You can find it not easily but with patience (Bears or Hinoya)
Type I was superseded by the Type II in 1952. There should be a number stamped on the back of the closure button/rivet that tells which factory it was manufactured at.
It's alright to adjust the back cinch to keep the wind out from then waist. I have a Type I from 555 Valancia street S.F. and a Type II.
Great jacket.
Thank you for watching!! Great points!!
Looks very nice, dont think you can beat type 1 and 2's. Looking forward to see washed results.
Are coming!!!
I just got one and I get a lot of compliments on it and I feel people are intrigued by it because it’s not a Type II or III.
So there is room for uniqueness
It is a good choice!! When it starts to fade, it looks even better.
@@UrbanLadUK I got a modern medium wash one I am excited to see it age
Yes you need it
😉👍👍👍
Hi there, fellow denim enthusiast here, do you have to pay import taxes when ordering these jackets from Japan?
If you buy from Bears, Hinoya or Denimio, the price tag is final, no surprises when the parcel arrives ;), from the other Japanese stores yes you must pay taxes and duties.
What size did you purchase? Thanks
I bought size 44/XL 👍
Diego, is this RELAXED fit?
Hi! It is boxy fit, can be called relaxed, it is roomy but with the shrinkage is less roomy.
Thanks!@@UrbanLadUK
What website did you go to get it ?
Hinoya! But it was very expensive, Bears Japan has this cheaper 😉
Make u look like Japanese guy I prefer the Wrangler cowboy look.
😉 good point!!
@@georgekiriakosIt is true, but the Japanese bring it back to life that's why some people nowadays associate this jackets with Japanese denim style, but it is an American classic!!
@@georgekiriakos type 1 he wear is made in Japan by a Japanese guy so that’s what I meant.
