Oh my god my favorite producer!!! hhhnnnnggg!
...I'm a little bit excited
I love youuuu, Reso
What a London sized room
Love this guy! Reso's atmospheric tracks are my favourite - the day I discovered them was a happy day indeed :).
Thanks for this nice surprise FM!
Holy shit, never thought that making DnB music was that much complex.
I gained a massive amount of respect for all DnB and similar artists all of a sudden. : O
I really enjoyed reading this comment. A lot of people assume that it's easy to make Dance Music & that anyone could do it. It takes a lot of production knowledge & creativity to write/create an amazing track such as this.
numgun you probably havent seen Noisia yet.
Man I could sit and look at this guys project files on day long, great insight to the way he works.
This man is an inspiration to the DnB scene.
Never heard of him
@@dang8249 your loss
Top notch. Thanks for this Reso. Keep on keepin on with the fantastic music and a few more videos like this would be awesome too ;)
I still think this is one of the best In The Studios. Reso is a very talented and generous guy. Excellent stuff.
awesome man, that quote is hilarious too, when i'm rummaging through my samples library "endless samples of rubbish, but theres some good stuff"
In all fairness FMM, U really should put all the social links in the comments for the artists that you make videos of.
While I don't listen to DNB much anymore but loved this interview because he was engaging and very descriptive and as a producer the genre doesn't mean much to us as much as the actual production and process..... and now would like to listen to more from him. #djrtnyc #djroyaltee
might be my favorite reso tune! cant beleive im just now finding this video maaaan what a G!
One of my favourite tracks too.. I love this dude. I don't think there is any comparable music to his. Very very very unique.
right on! thanks for this dude!
Wow that was awesome. Loving the drum nerdness. Banging.
rarely comment, but this video is such a gem. Thank you, Reso and thank you FM guys!
Amazing producer with great advice, and he seems like a solid guy too
Incredible!
really inspiring! thx
This has blown my mind
this man knows what hes saying you can learn soooo much
Sick producer, nice one Reso!
Reso i'm a old D&B Vet ,and i just wanted to say that i think you seem like a really good dude who makes great tracks cheers mate keep on rockin in the electronic world
you are the man and your tunes are banging. I think most of the sound from your bass patch is coming from the circa waveform OSC 3 and not the squelch waveform you have in OSC 2 Just been trying to recreate it and seems like the key is having Circa in Formant mode with the WT position set low. Also using the MOD oscilator for modulating phase and position of OSC 3. Thanks for giving an insight into your studio, sounds absolutely banging
Best In The Studio yet.
Reso is so sick!
the voice of this guy gives me a chill ...
Makes my panties wet
great overview cIip about producing /creating - reaIIy sympatic dude and nice music - inkI, the nerdie (important) parts
i do bea(s)t since 1999 and there are some new good tipps in the vid --- big ups and thanks a miIIion- rave on!!
reso n1 !
Woohoo Reso :D
nice tutorial, thx for going into details & explaining, some other producers always just scratch the surface and don't really give anything away - not this guy though!
also a bit envious of the quick workflow with "bounce in place" in Logic...doing the same in Ableton isn't that fast & always keeps me from using it more (or I haven't found the perfect function yet...?)
ahhhh those drums! you should do a continuation of this Alex just making up a drum pattern, kinda like how Albin Myers did in his FM making up a track on the fly. would be EPIC!
Oh wait he did
watching in 2024
nice guy :D
reso appeared on crackdown 2 cell music
when are you going to post the one with Deniz Koyu.......waiting 4 it since 2 weeks
Anyone knows what audio interface is the red thingie next to his screen? Future Music? The monitor controller seems to be a Mackie Big Knob...
Edirol FA-101
Alexreso Thanks, Alex! Old with crappy drivers, it seems, but maybe he outputs it through high end converters... Top notch quality audio, I reckon.
DRUMGOD
8:55
208 channels...
My computer would catch on fire if I attempted to do that
sounds amazing! 20:36 - david brent.
The Brent eyes.......hahahaha
I never noticed the similarity until now
does anyone know what he is using to open 32 bit plugins
The computer mouse I believe
Classic wow "A Doge favorite" haha awesome :D
all about the chunes bud. chunes
Can anybody tell me how he breaks up his mixer in to sections? If you look closely there are gaps between sections of tracks in his mixer. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this. I feel like it would help tremendously with organization.
+Archaic Method pretty sure this is done in the environment, he mentions it briefly in his FM video on how he processes breaks. In the mixer window on the right shows a few view buttons for channels, auxes etc, have a look there too.
krk rokit 6 or 8?
The only way Reso could ever be any better is if he could give me the stems for Virtua Rhythm
Wow, the doge favorit lol
Alexreso are those krk rokit 8's?
Yes. But they are G2's. G3's are out now. I have a pair of KRK Rokit RP5 G2 along with a pair of KRK Rokit RP8 G3. For around the same price though, the Yamaha HS8's are much more accurate studio monitors.
my pc would've crashed ages ago with all those plugins
go to virtual riot!
He uses Linear phase EQs :O Hadn't noticed.... doesn't that introduce some delays?
theproaudiofiles.com/linear-phase-vs-minimum-phase-eq/ maybe this article helps you :) But Actually the Article is in some regards false. I would check this Wikipedia Article Out >> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_phase. Makes a lot more sense.
actually the opposite. it stops phase problems when doing crazy eqs shapes but it is more cpu intensive
it still introduces latency , and an audible "fade in" when dealing with sounds containing transients, like drums.
But a lot less than with a normal EQ since all digital processors do have latency...
make 'in the studio with flo rida - making of good feeling!' oh... wait...
Reso you should really upgrade to WOW Filter 2 man!
*****
Because step sequencer, wobble generator, 7 different distortion algos and 21 filter types are better.
BlackAera
i still prefer wow 1 tbh
I like 1 much better, sorry to sound cliche but it "sounds better"
skatechatham wow2 has a super annoying attenuation at like 17 k that you cant turn off, so fucking annoying makes most of my shit running through it sound worse.
I should upgrade a whole bunch of things but unfortunately I don't shit £50 notes so I'm stuck with what I have. It's not what you have remember....
208 channels. Jesus.
My takeout from this video is "man, Logic really sucks".
It's pretty much a "choose your weapon" scenario mate. Logic, Cubase, Reaper, Ableton, FL Studio, etc. as long as it works for you that's what matters. There will be pros and cons to each DAW. Personally, I feel Logic is one of the best DAWs for composition out there.
SyllixMusic Don't forget Sonar. :]
SyllixMusic Oh, and BitWig! :D
SyllixMusic And the best one and only one: Studio One!
SyllixMusic
It's all about workflow, all the major DAWs are keeping up with each other feature wise so it all comes down t workflow.
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGMOGOMGMOGOMGOMGOMGMOGMOGMOGMOG
lol
Muhahaha
dude has some mad skills, but unexist is one of the easier tracks he made i guess( not saying its easy , obviously not near that), there are some really crazy tracks hes done
you know you are a master producer when your channels are as much a jungle as your music... I can get pretty lost in both
12:00 harmonic dissonance
Please Laidback Luke Studio Please ;)
200+ tracks, EQ analysiers left on; how the fack does Logic even open?! Ha
Russ Ashley probably by changing the midi to audio
Trust me, he is nerd
OMG !! THIS THE MOST DIRTY PRODUCER AND NOT TAKING CARE ON HEMSELF !!
i learnt Zero from this video.
he repeats the same things over and over, and often seems to actually find it painful to even speak about production
