I pray that I didn’t say something that was incorrect or misleading while trying to express my understanding of what the Catholic Church teaches and believes. At the end of the day I am only a fallible human who isn’t trained in theological terms. I stand by the teachings of the Catholic Church and I want to express that nothing that is found in the Divine Mercy revelations or The Book of Heaven is contrary to what the Church believes, because both of them have been declared to be free of heresy. You don’t have to believe them, but are totally free to.
The church teaches that if you die in the state of unrepentant mortal sin, then you are damned. Which is TRUE. What Jesus reveals to these mystics does NOT contradict that but rather reveals that He will go to any length to give the soul a chance to repent, even as they are dying. He is the great high priest, He can give absolution. HOWEVER there is NO GUARANTEE that the soul will repent. Jesus assures us that many DO NOT. THIS is why it is SO IMPORTANT not to harden our hearts to Him by sinning during our life. Ultimately, even souls who don’t open their eyes to God because they have been deceived, are still culpable for their stubbornness, because God HAS been giving them graces to turn to Him and do good but they are deep down going against and hardening their conscience. It’s just that some souls are not as culpable as others, although everyone is still culpable to some extent for going against their internal conscience. Ultimately nobody deserves this great mercy of God at the end of life, but He gives it anyway. None of us deserve His mercy during our own lives either.
This certainly doesn’t mean to say that all religions are equal. It is true that salvation is only found within the Catholic Church, but those graces can flow to any soul who sincerely desires God. (Baptism by desire)
Lastly I want to say that there ARE greater degrees of glory in Heaven. So a soul who truly does strive their entire lives, gives up sin and suffers because of their faith, will have within their soul a greater capacity to contain the glory of God than a soul who repents last minute. So suffering for God is never in vain and you will be eternally grateful! If a soul who loves God on earth reaches Christian perfection before they die, then they will not have to go to purgatory, wheres a soul who was lazy all their life will.

Only Love upholds the law. Love the Heavenly FATHER with all your heart, mind and, soul. Thank him, talk to him, form a connection (prayer) Then Love your neighbor as yourself. Nothing else beyond this matters. The Kingdom of Heaven is within you, you are the Church, you are the Temple. GOD saves, anytime, any place, for there is nothing GOD cannot do. Donating a million dollars, or getting a million followers in a Church, or knowing scripture front to back, means nothing without Love. Love comes from within, Love is the good news, the beginning. You are so sweet and have captured my heart. I Love The way you seek Our FATHER. Love, nothing else matters, for with Love all things came to be, Life, without Love nothing survives. GOD is Life, not death. Kindness, thankfulness, forgiveness, humbleness, these are the way, and nothing else will do. Money, religion, concepts, all these things do not exist in the Kingdom, as a Child will lead them. Children are the Greatest Teachers. Go to GOD for everything, turn to no one in flesh. I Love you very much. GOD will provide. Amen.
I put this together using scripture I was lead to, GOD is so beautiful.
      The GOD of Hope
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.
Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God,
Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,
Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!
For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
      Amen
      Love you. ❤

True repentance is to reconnect with The FATHER, we all are guilty, but we have no hope without Our FATHER. Jesus ate with sinners and the poor, and the broken, even with those who despised him. Without Love nothing grows, nothing would be. When human beings practice Love, they practice Eternity. ❤

      COUNCEL OF TRENT:
If any one saith, that, in the sacrament of Penance, it is not necessary, of divine right, for the remission of sins, to confess all and singular the mortal sins which after due and diligent previous meditation are remembered, even those (mortal sins) which are secret, and those which are opposed to the two last commandments of the Decalogue, as also the circumstances which change the species of a sin; but (saith) that such confession is only useful to instruct and console the penitent, and that it was of old only observed in order to impose a canonical satisfaction; or saith that they, who strive to confess all their sins, wish to leave nothing to the divine mercy to pardon ; or, finally, that it is not lawful to confess venial sins ; let him be anathema.

@@javierbassr1228I don’t this this contradicts anything she or the mystics she quoted has said. It presupposes that one receives the sacrament of penance and basically says to confess all your mortal sins and that it’s also good to confess venial sins. It doesnt touch on the subjects of those who don’t know better or those in situations where the sacrament is unavailable.

I’m grateful to see your video right now. I’ve been worried about my comment yesterday. So much love to you Faustina. Thank you for being willing to die to yourself and being a beacon of light in these dark times. At 41 and with 6 kids, following my husbands 20mo affair, I’m learning God is asking me to do the same.

So much love to you too Nicolette! I am praying for you and your family!
I definitely needed to see your comment because you certainly weren’t the only one thinking it! I’m glad I redid the video. This is a super important and delicate topic and it is very important that it’s handled right.
I’m grateful to YOU for being a beacon of light in these dark times! Because ultimately, suffering in union with Christ and for love of Him is a supernova of grace for the world. More powerful and important than the “glamorous” missions. It might not seem like much because grace is invisible and suffering can sometimes make us feel so weak that our life isn’t doing anything worthwhile. But the complete opposite is true. You are a bright, bright light. Your “YES” to God right now, to carrying this heavy cross, is helping more souls than you could possibly imagine and only in Heaven will you see that many will be so very grateful that your “yes” gave them the strength to give their “yes” too. We are all united in the Body of Christ. But the greatest saints in Heaven will be the ones who suffered the most with resignation and for love of God.
      ...Just you wait :)

Thank you for sharing this, Faustina. A lot to think about. Thank you Jesus for your incomprehensible love.
Also, some of what you mentioned reminded me of the second reading from yesterday, 1 John 2:1-5a
"My children, I am writing this to you
so that you may not commit sin.
But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father,
    Jesus Christ the righteous one.
He is expiation for our sins,
and not for our sins only but for those of the whole world.
The way we may be sure that we know him is to keep
    his commandments.
Those who say, "I know him," but do not keep his commandments
are liars, and the truth is not in them.
    But whoever keeps his word,
the love of God is truly perfected in him."

The Good News is that the entire world died and rose with the unconditonal lover of our Souls which healed all from the inside out and that He fills everything forever without end. Only when we see this can we be our true beloved loving selves. And when we don't see this we will only be religious + maybe experiencing Him at best. All are forever whole. Period. Everything else you're talking about is not going to change that objective reality. "Hell" is a spiritual blindness too. Love keeps no record of wrongs. Tell people the truth of who they are and they will awaken. So simple. ❤

I agree that in a very real way, every soul in the world died and rose with Christ and salvation is theirs if only they claim it... But scripture says that hell is a reality. Not everybody WANTS to claim their salvation, which is truly a mystery and a profound sorrow

""Take your time with this …
Does God honor man’s choice for eternal destruction? Perhaps we aren’t asking the right questions, so let’s reframe this: Does God honor the bondage of our will to the slavemaster of sin (and it’s inability to choose Him)? Or does He pursue us (to the lengths of His own violent death), in order to liberate our will into actually becoming a “freed will”? Maximus the Confessor (with many of the fathers) says the latter, grounding this liberation of our “will/choice/desire” within Christ’s own vicarious bending of humanity’s corporate will back to the Father through the Incarnation and Passion (think Gethsemane). The Spirit now turns the lights on subjectively/personally/individually to each of us by spotlighting Jesus (for to see Him is to be like Him).
Furthermore, putting any salvific weight on our “own” human choice has already been deemed the heresy of Pelagianism (eg. self-salvation), as strongly attested by all the reformers (Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, etc), despite the Arminian impulse to make salvation about “my choice.” A will bound to sin is not free to choose. And a salvation based on human choice is not a salvation based on Christ. It’s good scholars are again translating πίστις Χριστοῦ as “the faith OF Christ” rather than “faith IN Christ” (as the New Testament was rendered for 1,500 years - long before evangelicals thought “my own faith” saves me). We are rescued by the faithfulness of Christ. The Gospel does not require my faith; it supplies it. The Lamb of God takes away the sin of the world, not the sin of the some, the willing, the lucky.
So God does not “override” our will, He breaks its bondage to sin by His own advent: His own self-disclosure in Jesus. Not every person seems liberated, because not every eye sees Him clearly (including our own!). Not to mention, most have only heard a dodgy “gospel” not based on Christ alone, but upon this very kind of religious transactionalism (a so-called “gospel” they rightly should reject!). But "to see the good truly is to desire it insatiably; not to desire it is not to have known it, and so never to have been free to choose it" (David Bentley Hart). From scripture, we do know that every eye will see … which most likely is why scripture says every knee will bow and every tongue will confess. This is not salvation by fiat (eg. Augustinian, Calvinism) … rather it’s because Jesus Christ is the Desire of All Nations. The apocalyptic inbreaking of Christ invades every nook and cranny of existence, including the hearts of all men (of whom He is already the Ground of their very being: in Him all things hold together).
Does this absolve us from passing through fire? … Indeed tremble, because everything will be tested by His all-consuming Flame. As many of the ancients tell us, God Himself is the fire of Hell. But this fire is His very loving Presence that burns away the cancer, cauterizing and healing the disease of sin, purifying humanity from every resistance to love. Who can stand when He appears? What is destroyed is the illusory, false self of our own fabrication that never had it’s origin in God (our own “false incarnation”) … what we receive is a white stone with a new name on it (which only He knows). This should give us the most exhilarating hope mingled with heart-pounding, reverent trepidation. This is true Hellfire preaching: no one escapes it. Not even you who “raised your hand” or “made a decision.” For God’s love is inescapable. "If all the factors that St. Paul listed [Rom. 8:35-39] cannot separate us from God's love, still less shall our free will be able to separate us from God's love” (Origen)." ~ John Crowder

    • @MatthewKnickle
      @MatthewKnickle 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

God doesn't respect a will that isn't truly free.
Many claim that, "God respects our free will in rejecting Him"... as if He allows us to make the final decision for our eternal destiny...
but He does not respect what is broken (in this case our wills) in the sense of "allowing us to eternally condemn ourselves."
Our will is only actually TRULY free when our will is healed and whole to clearly see Jesus as He truly is.
You cannot truly desire and choose something unless you can clearly see the thing you are choosing.
And God being good only respects and considers something as a REAL decision and desire (will) when it is not defiled and mixed up by sin and the devil blinding our ability to see Him.
Therefore, in Jesus, He healed humanities will (which means desire) - by revealing His Joyful Self to us as our true will (desire) - by healing our very beings/design with Himself - which is a being designed by God, to enjoy God.
God also sees the end from the beginning, that His objectively healed design/will of every person on the cross - will finally all subjectively awaken to Jesus (their true desire/will) as all eyes see Him clearly!
Abba, Jesus and Holy Spirit only respect THIS fully awakened humanities will, not a broken and blinded will.
The Good News is that God's Choice/Desire/Will saved (healed) all mankind for all eternity.
Mankinds only true choice, through their true healed design to love Him, through His eternal first choice/love us all - is to choose Him.
Any choice that is not choosing Him is not a true choice!
      ❤🥳🍷🥰🍯🔥❤
"When you are presented with the gospel and you resist it, that is clearly a dysfunction of your will.
If you come to the final judgment, would God be perfectly just and perfectly loving if He condemned you for saying 'No' to Him with a dysfunctional will? That is like blaming a blind person for not being seeing, and that is not right.
In the way that Paul had his eyes opened to Christ on the road to Damascus, at the final judgment every eye will see Him... and when every eye will see Him, the things which cause dysfunction to our will (the world, the flesh and the devil) will be removed from our eyes."
      -Maximus the Confessor

""Hell" is not in the Bible. "Gehenna" is. "Hell" is a mistranslation. "Gehenna" is the right translation. Either you're ignorant of this, or you've read it and yet choose to deliberately go with the mistranslation. Now you know.
The concept of "hell", or eternal torment in the afterlife is literally and exactly nowhere in the Old Testament. "Gehenna" however is in the OT just a few times. It is a literal place, right outside of Jerusalem, where Israel practiced gross idolatry and later became called "the Valley of Slaughter" because of its reputation of idolatry and loathsomeness. Dead bodies were thrown in Gehenna and they were eaten by worms and turned to ashes by fire. This provides the context of Jesus usage of "Gehenna".
Jesus quotes Isaiah when talking about Gehenna when he says "where the worm doesn't die and the fire is not quenched". He's referring back to the valley of Gehenna, directly quoting Isaiah 66:24, which says "...the dead bodies, the worms that eat them up will not die and the fire that consumes them will not be quenched." This literally happened. Dead bodies were eaten up by unquenchable fire and worms fed on the dead bodies until they were consumed to nothing.
Interesting thing is, go to that Valley of Slaughter today and look in it and you will not see the fire still burning nor will you see immortal worms feeding on miraculously preserved dead bodies. The bodies are gone, the worms are gone, the fire is gone. The point is that the fire would not be deterred in burning up the dead bodies to nothing, the worms would not be deterred in eating up the dead bodies to nothing. And keep in mind these are mortal dead bodies in this life, not immortal conscious souls in the afterlife.
To read eternal torment into that is either gross ignorance or deliberate deception.
Even "eternal fire" or "eternal punishment" is a mistranslation, as "eternal" is a mistranslation of the Greek word "aionios", which does not mean "never-ending" or anything of the sort. It means "of the age to come", or to Plato, who may have invented the word, it means something which has its origin in God, or the unseen realm. It has nothing to do with ongoing, never-ending time. "Other-worldly" is a pretty good translation of "aionios". "Eternal" is not.
There is literally no verse in scripture that can prop up the ridiculous, pagan, non-Jewish concept of eternal torment.
Spread the word to try to get rid of the ignorance on this issue.
This is not some new politically correct idea that people are making up because they don't like hard biblical truths. There is a long list of early fathers who rejected eternal torment because they understood these correct meanings of words, they didn't believe in the immortality of the soul (a pagan Greek belief), they had a touch of sanity (a good thing to have for theology), and they recognized that the scriptures either taught conditional immortality and/or final universal reconciliation. Eternal torment was the minority belief in the early church, and amongst those who were less familiar with the original meanings of the text. It did not become the prominent belief until after 500 AD, with the help of the violent organized institutional church under Constantine.
Hell is not a good translation of Gehenna and it never will be. Gehenna was a real place with a real history in the Jewish mind, and it must be read in that context. Once it is read in that context, the idea of eternal torment falls to pieces, as it should.
I predict now that people will come on here quoting mistranslated verses ripped out of their context to try to prop up their beloved tradition of humans being tortured forever for not believing the same things as them. It is an evil and demonic idea which finds no basis in reason, love, justice, the scriptures, or the universe we observe. I have found that most of these people have not studied without confirmation bias nor have seriously considered the existential weight of this issue. They just accept what they are told. Nor have they probably ever had a dearly loved one that died an unbeliever. For them, it is completely fine that a bunch of dumb humans they don't know or have empathy for burn alive forever. Such a thing they wouldn't give a second thought or shed one tear over.
It is normal for us to not want to go through the discomfort of questioning and reconstructing what we believe, because of the fear drilled into us for years, or facing the rebuke of our religious community, so we protect the only thing we’ve known and stay uncontroversially within the bounds of groupthink."
      ~ Jacob M. Wright

@@MatthewKnickle I would agree that He wouldn't allow us to make that decision if we were impaired by our blindness and fallen wills. That's something that alot of people don't understand and was the main point of this video. It has been revealed to these mystics that He allows us to see the whole picture at the end of our lives, unobscured. But we still have our free will and if we are used to choosing our pride then it is unlikely that we will want to accept His mercy when the time comes.

I see there is value in sharing what wisdom Christ is bestowing, and I have been given more than I would ask for. I have been shown that what I know is known by all in Heaven, so anyone can access this knowledge, so I don't think that I can share in a beneficial way. Yet I also feel like I have been given knowledge that could be beneficial. The most important thing is to make Jesus Christ your only teacher and authority. I can't make anyone do this, even God doesn't force us. I will say that it's going to be so easy for Him to fix it all when He arrives. In an hour, world peace. In a week, everything running perfectly.
What can I say? The Truth is going to be what unites us.
The True faith is that God is literally Truth. All who worship Truth shall find Jesus Christ, and The Trinity.

I’m not sure exactly those details because it was gifted to me. The print size is actually not larger, but the pages are thicker. That’s the only difference. I’ve tested them side by side haha its the same size print.
The one I have is a darker shade of blue than the smaller version I’ve seen. That might be a good way to tell. I’m pretty sure this is the one I have.www.amazon.com/Book-Heaven-Creatures-Purpose-Created/dp/B091QFS4XD
I do think it’s a little easier to read than the other one because the pages on the other one are so thin they are almost see-through.

Raised Catholic. I have a harder time with the concept of a loving God than of an all evil Satan (and demons). I was born with a lot stacked up against me, it seems I was indeed carefully made but to lose. I was richly blessed but with deep-seated feelings of inadequacy, inferiority, shyness. Never once, not once in my life did I thank God for allowing me to be conceived and born because I just did not want to do life as myself. I'm equipped for humiliation, rejection, stagnation, shame, adversity etc. So back to a loving God, I can't wrap my head around the idea that God gave me a gift he *knew* I would hate and wished he hadn't given me (life) and that he somehow loves me. Would you give your best friend a gift you *know* they'll hate or which will cause them harm? Being brutally honest here : Satan did not pluck me out of the peace, serenity, quiet of nonexistence for this pathetic life, God did. So, yeah, my fundamental problem, some would say 'beef', is with God.
You don't love someone to whom you give life knowing that, as a boy, they'll feel burdened by it and be crushed by the prospect of having to do decades of it. And at the end of a dreary, hopeless life, hell is a possibility. In truth, I'd have infinitely less of a problem with God if I knew I had annihilation to look forward to. It actually *very* feels good to think God's 'mistake' (I had another term in mind...) will one day be a thing of the past. You know the relief when something that has bothered you for years gets resolved. I like the idea of ceasing to be and returning to where God should have left me in the 1st place. Life can be a grand thing or decades of quiet desperation depending on how well-equipped you are to face it. I am patheticaly equipped to face it. I was wonderfully knit to *suck* .
If you know the pot and potter analogy from the Bible, the pot is not sentient nor needs to live miserable for decades nor faces the possibility of eternal misery. Ultimately, what was the point of bringing into his eternal tyranny another tormented, angry, hopeless loser? AS a kid, I naively figured that God would come through powerfully and undo all the deaths of the past. Financial freedom would have saved me from almost everything God set in motion to plague me, from my family of origin, temperament, mental health, to my looks, to my IQ, to my gifts and talents, to where I was born etc. Objectively, I was engineered for failure. And so how am I willing to seriously resist sin, to be even more miserable than I am to please the one who burdened me with a bad life? No way could God have expected me to be happy with what he gave me. It makes me question his intelligence. So the alternative theory is that God gave me a life he knew full well i'd hate, hate him for snatching me out of nonexistence and end up in hell, but that doesn't bother or faze him. Do you lose sleep if you lose a dime? God is still supremely happy whether there are zero people in hell or 70 billion. God is a very hard sell.

      @konkybones547 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Do you really want an answer or are you just looking to vent or possibly lash out against others who have faith? Serious question.
If you aren't determined to persevere in a self destructive outlook fortified by a grudge and you actually want an answer, first consider eternity. Your short time on earth is like nothing to eternity. So the length of time here suffering, even if for a billion years, is worth dealing with for the sake of eternity.
Second, you can't connect with God because you yourself exposed that you acknowledge a false god who doesn't exist. You address a god based on your judgement of how a potentially existent god must be according to your misery and lack of serious consideration of things like consequences, justice, mercy and merit of sacrifice. Don't believe me? Go read Thomas Aquinas and good luck arguing with him.
Anyone who ever did you wrong did so by choice and it was their sin, not God's. He commands the exact opposite of the evils people have done to you or you have done to others. So why did He allow it? Because,
Like it or not, He didn't want robots without will. He wanted free beings and that means having the choice to even go against Him, though He told us what would happen if we did.
Acknowledge actual God, Who is goodness in itself. Otherwise you're talking to a god who isn't real. Big surprise if that god doesn't answer, though sometimes actual God does answer people like you for reasons that are His own and not for me to comment or speculate on.
If you deny that there is a God you will find your life will not improve. No amount of sin will fulfill you on earth and your fears, anxiety and insecurities will also remain.
When you approach God, do it as an existence empty of self as if you understand that your existence is meant to be filled with His existence since He is your purpose and will be your eternal fulfillment. You can worry about your "beef" later. In your first proper reaching out to Him, forget everything other than that He Is and just seek to welcome Him into your life. Cry out to Him sincerely while scrounging up enough trust to believe He will answer and He will.
Everything pure that you lament not having on earth you will have in heaven, and other things that neither you nor I can currently grasp, according to His own promise in Revelation.
All of your suffering was with Christ in Gethsemane. He suffered your suffering and that which is still yet to come for you. In that one night and into that day, He suffered all of mankind's suffering in addition to paying the price by torture for all of our sins throughout time, only His was worse because He was/is innocent. It wasn't a bargain deal thing. He took on the sin and suffering of each and every individual.
If you aren't willing to suffer and sacrifice for someone you claim to love would you still believe you truly loved them? Love is proven by sacrifice not by desire which seeks pleasure or convenience. Christ gives sacred value to suffering. Consider using your suffering to unite with His so you can bear it with grace and He will convert it to many good things for you or others. Share in His redemptive work as a Child of Light. Enter into the Divine romance and the good fight. It's certainly better than what you are currently doing.
The Saints knew when God put them through hell on earth He was actually elevating them as they would thereafter be in heaven. He was making them mighty pillars of glory by means of inspiring them to be entirely reduced on earth. He who would be the first must make himself the last.
People like you have immense potential for rich sainthood if you apply your suffering to the right cause rather than uselessly drowning in it. You would be able to relate to, understand and uplift so many others who are in a situation just like yours. He wants to work in you for causes like that. We must invite Him in to work in this world through us.
No one reads a book about someone perfectly happy who stays happy with nothing bad ever happening. People know the real value is in great adversity and seeing how the protagonist becomes something greater to overcome the tribulations. That is what inspires us.
I used to have beef of my own with God. I had a despairing outlook and an argument against God a lot like yours but with other details I thought were clever and foolproof at the time. Needless to say, I don't miss those days at all.
You came here and commented for a reason. You're clearly looking for hope and answers even if you think otherwise. Your soul and truest self wants the mercy Jesus Christ demands that you accept from Him for justice's sake, even if your tortured mind and ego are repulsed by the idea of that. He demands you be fulfilled with Him forever.
You're not a mistake and non existence is contrary to the pure being of God. No one will ever cease to exist because they already exist forever since God acknowledged them and therefore are within the infinite comprehension of God.
Take note that humans can get dopamine delight in suffering on earth. When you entertain fantasies about being a special case accident of God and things like that, even in misery, there is a delight in it and it will only help you stay chained.
There are many who can answer you far better than me but I hope I helped in some way. I know the internal hell you are in.

    • @konkybones547
      @konkybones547 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Also there's no peace or serenity in non existence. Consciousness is necessary to comprehend and to experience things. You are romanticizing nothingness when there can be nothing in nothingness. It's just a waste of your time.
If you're so miserable, the best thing you can do is forget yourself.
People who are insecure assume that means they are humble but anyone wrapped up and drowning in their own misery is actually focused way too much on themselves. It's not humility but selfishness and vanity.
Improve your life by living as an entity of good will for yourself and others and you might start to appreciate your existence more.
Try Imagining your internal Saint and then make that saint's emergence into reality your mission.
Or you can just stay totally unhappy and keep working against yourself.
Please don't do that. What do you have to lose by retaliating against the habit of thinking you currently use?

@@konkybones547 None of the things you mention are foreign to me. I'm well-acquainted with how apologists deal with people like me. I happen to think it's legitimate to have a good life, to thrive in it, to be relatively high on Maslow's pyramid. I supremely hate the idea of ''suck it up now, live it up in 7 or 8 decades *if* God finds you worthy''.
It's a fair point that I take some pleasure in my victimhood, or perception thereof, but if I woke up tomorrow to a new me and a new outlook on life, I'd gladly let it all go, along with the grudges, bitterness, anger and despair. That would necessarily entail fiancial freedom to some extent. Money may be the root of all evil, but it is also the root of all freedom and hope. I've never seen in my immediate circle someone deeply transformed by the eucharist, mass, rosary etc. My father once seriously considered becoming a priest. But those tens of thousands of communions did not produce the dramatic result you'd expect it to if Christ was truly present in it. I understand that my soul is perpetual, but I simply wish I could have remained nonexistent rather than live life as a perpectual loser who didn't really have a shot to begin with. Doing life without looks, money, gifts and talents is a painful experience, rich in humiliation and despair.
About free-will, God could give me 1 000 000 000$ tomorrow without infringing on it, i.e. there is a *lot* God could have done to make my life livable. I would have been quite content with 1/1000th of the wives and money that king David had.

@@konkybones547 I have no illusion about being humble. I *know* I'm too wrapped up in myself. I wish I wasn't. Financial freedom would have allowed me to get out of myself knowing I am secure in one thing, one thing that is a *huge deal* in this world. I'm all wrapped up in myself because I trust God taking care of me and keeping me from revisting the deaths/wounds of the past as I trust a dry well to quench my thirst when I'm parched. I think God sorta means me well, but I don't think he is actively *for* me. Ironically, I am the only one who is resolutely for myself. I don't think sinlessness, reliance on God/trust in God, poverty, being asexual and turning the other cheek would improve my existence. Christ,s yoke is an additional layer of misery on top of all my miseries.
And I did not mean that nonexistence is actively a source of peace and serenity. They both come from not having God's eternal tyranny shoved down my throat. Surely, God must have intuited that I ws going to be n ashamed, humiliated loser for all my life, and a likely candidate for eternal separation from the utlimate source of my misery, which I recognize to be a bad thing. But it's hard to love and trust someone who has given you such a poisoned gift. I'd choose nonexistence *right this second*

Catholicism is the way; it has all the tools and the fountains of Grace for one’s personal sanctification. The problem is when one reduces the faith to obeying rules, one can become the modern version of the original Pharisees who were very good at keeping rules, and who thought they were so close to God, yet failed to recognize Him when He was in their midst. Today one has to be careful of Catholics who speak against the pope, the way that is seen on the Internet these days. Here is a video that shows how to be a good Catholic amidst the noise coming from some loud voices presenting themselves as more Catholic than the pope:

Ruling in hell is torture because it is a life of complete and utter inability to love or be loved. People in hell hate themselves and everyone around them and they spend all of eternity wallowing in self-absorption and self-pity. Love is what we were made for, but there is none of it in Hell.
Heaven is the opposite. It is to experience love beyond measure and to pour out love for everyone around. It is total freedom and safety. A place with no more selfishness and people doing mean things to you. Because everyone there loves you perfectly. "Serving" God ultimately means to trust in His Will and surrender to it. But His only Will is to be in loving relationship with you. We aren't going to be slaves in Heaven. And actually, that's why Hell exists. Because God doesn't want us as slaves, that's why He gives us the option.
And the reason why there is no love in Hell is because the people in Hell want to be cut off from God completely rather than to surrender to His loving Will, and it is impossible for love to exist without God because all genuine love comes from Him in the first place.

Jesus suffered in the flesh more than you & I ever will, but it did not phase Him because He was born of God & lived by the Spirit.
