Went to a Tony Robbins show about 45 yrs ago in Seattle. They then had 2 large goons by the exit to discourage leaving and as soon as this dog and pony show got rolling I knew this was money scamming bullshit but the goons never left so I sat through this crap and listened to the manipulation of the room and what it boiled down to was group behavior Pavlovs dogs.
He is a snake oil salesman..I never bought into his schtick!! I know many people who worship this nut!!! He is telling people what they already innately know. I agree with this video 100%
He actually has 40 years of training from world leaders, politicians, athletes and very famous people. In motivation, love, finance, business and quality of life. Hes had the most substancial training one can get. He’s helped a lot of people in his 40 year career. Ted talks are amazing and it’s often regular people who have learned incredible things. You don’t have to be a psychologist to be a public speaker.
Tony used to nice and good and everyone loved him. Nowadays he curses a lot, sells a lot of stuff, and has highly priced tickets. He is just after the money.

I used to live in San Diego, where the Robbins organization is located..I noticed he divorced his wife of 16 years and now is running around.with a girl half his age. I remember his big thing was family values.Personal coaching from Tony costs 50,000 dollars. The problem with most people who go for this crap, they will never admit they were made a fool of

I have an acquired brain injury which is not mental, it's physical because one afternoon, some guy didn't watch where he was driving and I was crossing the street. Coma, broken bones, brain bleeding, etc. I find that a lot of his stuff is A LOT better than the multiple therapies I've received aside from the physio I had to do to relearn to walk again. Which, is what lead me to recovering to the point I'm at and continues to help me. I don't mean any hate toward you I'm just saying he's an option and helps people myself included. I'm probably not going to remember commenting but I suggest people put aside their debates toward what he's saying and pick and choose what to internalize. Also, he's never held a gun to someone's head to make them watch or attend his seminars as far as I know. Take care!
I agree, maybe he will not be the solution to all the problems people have, but during some challenging times we need to hear the encouragement and some way out of the current challenging situation. They really help you walk through those hard times. Maybe paying $3000 is overdoing it (depends on your budget though) he also has books, you can even buy second hand. The video is doing a little bit injustice, also degrading people who benefited from his books and less expensive events.

Most people who go to Tony Robbins seminars are fans, and have taken some of his courses before. But this contradicts the narrative to take Tony's course and your life will be changed forever. The reality is this is mostly marketing to keep bringing people to seminars. The reality is also that a lot of Tony's points actually do work, but at the end of the day you don't need more seminars to make Tony richer, but you need to take action to what you have learned over all the years you have been watching. Life is not a cheerleading club to make you feel better for the moment, but figuring out how you can force yourself to take action for real lasting change. JUST DO IT!

Instead of a prayer request in a posted envelope stuffed with banknotes, he has a seminar in a local location like Honolulu at a few thousand dollars per head...I've not been drawn into this scam, but I have heard it happens a lot. Why do preachers, peddlers, and presenters need headsets anyway?
I watched Tony Robbins on TV a few times. Once, he called a couple up to the stage who were prepared to get divorced..., and talked to them for a few minutes. Then they hugged each other and Tony announced that he saved their marriage in a few minutes. Really? If a couple has been married for a number of years, there is some measure of emotional bond, even if they aren't getting along. I'm going to bet that couple still couldn't stand each other in the morning. I doubt he saved anything. Plus, the couple represented were likely actors? who knows? But i do have more common sense than to believe anyone can save a marriage in a few minutes. Tony's ego is bigger than Jupiter.

I don't think, he is a scam. What you are paying him for, are the motivational speaches. That is one of the reasons why he's got coaches in his team. Maybe many people will be able to change by meditating etc., but not all will - they need a "kick in the ***", and they know it. That is why you pay Tony that kind of money. Not because he is a messiah. And yes, he earns a good living, but he also donates to charity. And he does have a heart, even though he is not Mother Theresa.

He has a cult following of seminar addicts. If it worked so well, why do they keep going back. I did one that was paid for by work. It was fun, but also creepy and culty. He's essentially a spiritualist, denying that God is in control and saying life is meaningless unless you 'assign a meaning' to it.

If his methods really worked, people would come out of his seminars feeling informed, transformed, and have the capability to continue on in their life with their newfound knowledge and power…but, they don’t, and they go back, and spend more of their hard earned money…it’s very sad.

I don't think, he is a scam. What you are paying him for, are the motivational speaches. That is one of the reasons why he's got coaches in his team. Maybe many people will be able to change by meditating etc., but not all will - they need a "kick in the ***", and they know it. That is why you pay Tony that kind of money. Not because he is a messiah. And yes, he earns a good living, but he also donates to charity. And he does have a heart, even though he is not Mother Theresa.
