In this video i explain and show in detail how to setup your Transmitter with Phoenix Rc Simulator. I show you how to connect your Tx to your laptop using the USB Dongle interface, how to calibrate the tx, how to reverse controls and setup your switches to function in game.

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm just getting started, have purchased the Phoenix simulator and a DX9 as I was told it would grow with me as I learn. It's a bit overwhelming going through the manual cold, and this video was VERY helpful!

Would have been nice to have covered actually setting up the transmitter. The stuff you cover is adequately and very clearly indicated in the software, but there is no mention of the actual settings to be put into the transmitter used.

Thanks for the great video! I have a couple of questions. I have version 5.0 on order and will be using it with a DX6i. I noticed that in the transmitter select mode, both Dx6i and DX6i (airplane) were choices. Can I assume that the airplane selection is for flying fixed wing aircraft and the other is for rotary wing aircraft. Also, let's assume that one of the models you fly is in the database - for example, the HobbyZone Super Cub S (or LP). Do actually set up your transmitter with the exact settings that you would if you were flying the actual model, or does the setup you just went through take care of all that? If it does, I presume you can simply turn on the transmitter and fly with whatever model is shown in the display window of the transmitter. By the way, I have 15,200 hours of heavy jet time and 12 hours and 33 minutes flying my body in freefall during my 657 skydives. I'm an aeronautical engineer by schooling but methinks none of that is going to help me fly models! :)

How did you disable the CCPM in the transmitter? And why did you setup to Airplane instead of Helicopter as stated in the instruction?

I have a Phantom 2 and the Phoenix 5, I don't have the cables or usb interface though. My question is, if I buy the 12 in 1 all in one ebay dongle usb interface will I be able to connect my DJI Phantom Radio so I could use the Phoenix and fly the phantom? Thank you
Hey, thanks. I'm not too sure about the Dji transmitters, im not aware of any ports it has to connect. What ports is on the tx?
I am new with these stuffs. Recently bought FS-CT6B, was searching for a simulator and came across ur video. The point you mentioned about the 3.5 mm jack, well 3.5 mm jack port is not there in my tx. Does that mean I won't be able to use the phoenix rc simulator? Can you please suggest me with some other simulator that will be suitable for my Tx

I bought SpektrumWS2000 dongle thinking I could use it with Phoenix 5.5 simulator that I downloaded. Now you're telling me I need a USB interface cable? Where do I find that?
How many channels does the simulator support? 6 ch or more then 6ch? Thanks

Looking at the "Phoenix R/C Pro Simulator V5.5 with DX6i Transmitter" Is this compatible with all R/C aircraft transmitter/ systems or just "blade" products? It works for the simulator and the actual models as well...correct?
RemoWest Yes the transmitter will work with both the simulator and real models providing you use compatible receivers etc.. it’s not just limited to one brand
how do you like the dx9?? you recommend it?
Yeah I love It, full of features yet easy to get used to :) can't beat the spektrum quality, highly recommend mate

Hey! I have a Avionic RCB7X. Will this controller with Phoenix? It comes with the function for using it as a wireless simulator also.
Hey Nipun! Yeah the RCB7X does work with Phoenix R/C Sim, If you know how to setup the wireless simulator, then Phoenix should pick it up easily using that :)

I have a Phoenix R/C4 with Spektrum DX5e. It has been unused for quite a while due to illnes but would like to try again. When I turn it on it does not recognize my controler. The program will turn on but will not recognize the control. Any sugestion?v

I did the steps as you outlined, but the PC does not recognize the transmitter. When I move the stick, Yours shows bar lighting up and mine show nothing. Any thoughts?
Must be a problem with the connection, What dongle are you using ? Has it ever worked before? Try a different USB port and make sure you're putting the 3.5mm cable into the correct jack on the tx as a few transmitters come with a few :)

It’s asking to change to ppm on my Dx9 spektrum ???
When you calibrate the sticks I noticed that the orange bars move/twitch up&down, my radio is doing this as well, did you fix this issue? Radio problem?
Hi, no I never could fix this, to be honest I think it's just a program bug however once flying they never twitch so don't worry about it :)
+FlyingMaddLadd man you got lucky, mine is going it in the sim and on the real models, it twitches when flying, i just got the radio a day ago :(

+Cubeholic I brought one of them really cheap flight sims from China about seven years ago,the one i got was off of ebay and it had about five or six of the well known flight sims at that time,of course the Phoenix sim was on there too,my point is it came with a cable that worked with my old DX6i TX (Radio) and it still works on my DX8 now,if you can't find them on ebay try one of these from banggood.com,there are a few on this link that i will leave you and you can see the ones that will work for your TX because it will say Phoenix on it,so therefore it will work on the Spektrum TX's as it did mine,if you see how cheap the sims are which give you all the cables you will need for most TX's it works out cheaper to buy the flight sim with the cable rather than buying a cable on it's own IMHO,sorry i rambled on a bit lol.

Is this working with Phoenix v5? I have it working up to the latest v4 but v5 always gives me the USB not connected error
Yeah it does. Works with all versions. Try different USB port's or check your 3.5mm connection to the Tx, if you still cant fix it, reinstalling would be the best.
Hm, I'm currently hooked into the mic port with a 3.5mm connection. It worked up until v4. I guess I'll need a Walkera adapter to work with v5.

Anyone have an idea on how to setup an Aurora 9X with Phoenix 4? I put up my throttle and at the same time my cyclic yankes to the top-left. Seems like it is all croocked, but i went through the setup repeatedly and everything seemed fine... Please help me! :-)

If you have the old version of the simulator you should be able to update it to this version. Check the downloads section on the phoenix website for the updates or update it from the simulator

Hi, I am not familiar with that transmitter, but I do believe there is a trainer port at the back above the battery cover, It should work fine with that :)

I messaged the seller for that 12 in 1 dongle and he was implying the support was only for the earlier versions of Phoenix. So I don't know if he just isn't sure or maybe it will work regardless. Not sure what to do.
