To any new players, I can't stress enough how great the External Item Descriptions mod is. It will make it so you don't need to constantly alt-tab to the wiki to see what items do before you pick them up and it is a godsend. Highly recommend grabbing it after beating mom once, just make sure you beat her before using mods as you can't unlock achievements with mods enabled until you've beaten Mom once.
I'm nearly at 3 full save files (just need to find the last Death Certificate) but looking at this video really makes you reflect on just how much stuff you gotta do in this game. It feels much more doable when you unlock everything as each DLC comes out over the years vs having to do everything in Repentance.
My brother has played the game since wrath of the lamb was brand new. I got it about 6 months ago, well after repentance released. And boy do I have a long way to go 😂😂
Honestly, for starting players i would also recommend that they beat greed mode with Azazel immediately after unlocking him. It's easy and getting lilith early is really good. Some may differ but i genuinely think that lilith has easily the best overall unlocks. Completing marks with her makes devil deals from decent to amazing. The only downside is that is kinda hard to get use to her gameplay, but it's kinda compensated by being a really strong character, early boss killer and just a greed mode instant win.
Small note, and I may be mistaken, but when you were mentioning ways to affect the spawn rate of Devil/Angel rooms, I think blowing up Bums can also affect this.
Dead God life hack: Don't just save up all the hardest possible completion marks for the end and more specifically, don't do all the easy stuff immediately. On paper, this is a reasonable, logical way of handling checkmarks. What it ends up being in reality is a one-way trip to burnout city. The hardest characters to 100% complete, split somewhere between Jacob & Esau, Tainted Jacob, Tainted Lost and potentially Tainted Eden (milage may vary) are legitimately grueling and difficult even for long-term veterans. If you do those last and have nothing to do after the fact, you risk turning the end of your Isaac experience into a horrible grind that will do nothing but sour your feelings for the entire game and turn you off to ever touching it again. It'd be crying shame, given how post-100% is the peak experience with Isaac. Instead, leave some simple and fun things that you don't feel you need the unlock for later while you grind away at the hard completion marks. This will leave you with the ability to take small stress-leaves from doing the hard stuff and let's you relax with something less taxing or frustrating. Second, it relieves you of the pressure that the hardest stuff in the game are the only things standing between you and Dead God, which from my experience helps with fatigue and morale. Then, when you finally nail that last T. Lost checkmark, you can then go back to clean up some of the last achievements as a sort of victory lap. After hours upon hours of learning every way in which the game pisses you off, being able to just kick back and remember why you put up with everything is always important. The true trick to unlocking Dead God is knowing how to pace yourself. How not to stress yourself out more than what the game will already do to you.
Also pro tip for Tainted Eden. You want to do The Beast Completion mark last. Because you really do not want to play Tainted Eden after TM Trainer is unlocked. It pretty much bars you from taking any secret room pool items. If TM Trainer is unlocked and you pick up a secret room item you have a chance to reroll into TM trainer every time you take damage and potentially turn a bunch of your items into glitched items which can't be rerolled and it'll probably end your run right then and there.
@@FirstLast-mn4re That is a fair point, yeah. In a similar way to how you don't wanna do Mega Satan with T.Lost until you've maxed everything out, because while haunted chests have some niche application for other characters, it absolutely does no favors for T.Lost and will act only as a direct hinderance to his gameplan. Repentance really liked that gimmick, putting stuff into character-unlocks that directly screwed with the character used to unlock it.
And sometimes take a break. This game is so strong, that it can color the energies of your surrounding world/time/feels/feelings/colors... I don't know the right term for it, but for me it is quite atmospheric and that carries over to so many other things I do and lasts quite well...
Tainted eden is like one of the easiest characters tho? Having a bad run? Just take half a heart of damage. If you are good at avoiding damage its an op character
We need a part 2, please. And if you do decide to make a second one lose don’t rush it. This one was so nice and I want you to have fun making a second. I wish you the best of luck my friend. Have fun and live on.
Honestly if you are new to the game just start on hard mode, it doesn't really make the game that much harder and if you are going to have to change difficulties anyways better to get used to it from the start.
in repentance hard mode IS significantly harder than normal mode, but honestly i would still recommend people to play it because you wont get used to normal mode's difficulty and it'll be easier to manage it that way. plus your gonna have to change anyway yeah
you can just play normal mode until you defeat mom first time, after that play hard mode cuz there is always chance that you will get to chest/dark room without unlocking polaroid/negative
Another good item to get for the victory lap achievements is Judas' Shadow or anything that turns you into a character that isn't The Lost. It still gives you the achievement and basically removes the challenge the third lap is supposed to have. Plus having a whole run as Dark Judas with Brimstone and Mom's knife was incredibly fun
Why is the third lap challenging at all? Isn’t that 3rd lap after you’ve already beaten the game? If you’re strong enough to do it once, then doing it again with even more items will be a breeze.
Oh because it would turn you into the lost with no mantle. I think they might've changed it so you do get mantle now but it's been awhile since I played@@anti-ethniccleansing465
@@andreasfrostnordstrm-hanse2684 I don’t understand- victory laps automatically turn you into the lost, no matter what character you are? Or victory laps can only be done with the lost?
I came back to this video just to say thanks this video was amazing and I’ve unlocked all normal and tainted characters and genuinely gotten better and it all comes back to this video idk if you’ll even see this but thank you
While having only Jera unlocked helps to make stronger runs, saving a lot of the challenge-locked items for the endgame makes it harder to collect them all for the final achievement. That's something that wasn't touched on -- collecting all items -- but I feel like I'm not alone in having a list of 30 or so items I had to collect after doing every other achievement.
This isn't true in repentance. If you haven't unlocked a rune, it can appear as a rune shard. Rune shards have very weak effects. I think is better to unlock all runes at once in repentance.
Hey man, this vid is great honestly. i have around 150 hours in the game now but im still learning new stuff all the time :) good to see the channel grow!
Been playing Isaac since Rebirth, bought every DLC since, still not super great at, but this vid is AWESOME!! Thank you for helping me on my journey to someday master Repentance and unlock everything it has to offer. I've never used mods or seeds and even beating Mega Satan for the first time was HUGE to me! This helps a lot, New sub and thank you.
i remember being quite good at isaac back in the afterbirth days. when i first booted up repentance i haven't felt this way for a while... not only is my muscle memory gone but the game has become so much harder. more fun, too, but i do not even dare to visit downpour with my skill level...
I've been watching people play for over half a year and still didn't understand half this stuff. Thank you, I'm hoping to get repentance for Christmas. I got it. Died 14 time so far but I made it to floor three! Heyy I've made a ton of progress. Took me 87 deaths to beat mom So much easier from there.
@@hisoka7489 yeah. I got much better. I've beaten hush and delirium in the same run twice now with different characters. Lucky rng. Also I got good at dodging.
@@modestMismagius105and yet you’re the one that criticized the way the video title used the word ultimate. You’re right that people don’t always use the exact dictionary definition of words and believe it or not other people don’t always use words exactly the same way that you do, shocking I know
3:12 "Luck doesn't give better drops though." This surprised me. It does gives better consumable drops, more chests, better room rewards. It just doesn't give you better items, however consumables can be turned into items. 5:23 "There are many exceptions that affect these chances." Does this include just the chance or also teleports to the devil/angel room? I think the latter is more important to the player since u also mention sacrifice rooms and the 33% angel room eventhough it's a direct teleport. Anyway, in that case you missed red chests teleporting you to special rooms. 6:33 It's always an angel room teleport, unless you somehow have already seen the devil room that floor. 7:05 "I would only recommend using them when u have a lot of health." Kind of nitpicky, but this also includes using hearts on the floor. I'm saying this because a lot of players won't realise they can sometimes play a sacrifice room completely for free with just 2 heart containers. 7:30 "The first condition .... needs to be accessible and unobstructed by rocks and fires." This should also include spikes, pits, buttons and enemy spawn locations. Basically anything except for cobweb. 7:34 "The second condition is that secret rooms can't border a boss room." This is good information but should probably be said after explaining super secret rooms, since neither can border it. Also super secret rooms tend to connected to the room the starting room. 10:49 Another tip to fight mom is immediatly drop a bomb and move to the middle left/right side. This bomb is guaranteed to hurt the feet and takes around 15% of mom's health right away.
You don't need a lot of health for sacrifice rooms, you just need a source of more health. This is a fantastic guide BTW! I wish I'd watched when I began
Yo mad appreciation for this as someone who just started and has found most current info to be a bit overwhelming, love that I can come back after I beat a few more bosses ;)
Not really that significant, but something you didn't mention that might be helpful for new players is that you can get to Cathedral or Sheol early (Before defeating Mom's Heart 11 times) by having an Angel or Devil room trigger after the Mom's Heart fight! Alternatively, you can even get to Sheol early by using We Need To Go Deeper or Ehwaz
From an Isaac veteran, this video has a lot of good info but also a lot of misinformation. I’d suggest downloading the binding of Isaac guide app or looking at the wiki both have such great breakdowns for literally everything in the game. I still use it every time i play

sick video! only one thing, in 11:35 you talk about 5 nights at moms achivement, in repentance they changed it to a 3 winstreak with different characters instead of 5!
Oh wow I had no clue. Thank you for the info. If people are on older versions this will still be useful. People on repentance will get it easier than they expect!
I actually just did three runs as Lazarus, Bethany, and Azazel and my streak is 3 now but I still haven't unlocked the achievement. I'm not really sure If its bugged but I'm a little scared to have to run all the way to blue baby twice more man
If you are a new player like me after defeating Mom you can use mods. If you're truly struggling and I mean you can not kill Mom or die before reaching Mom's heart then try the mod Da Rules. Da Rules is a sandbox mod that allows you to test things out by fighting a monster you struggle with having any items and so on. The reason you shouldn't use the mod like this is because it kills the fun of the game. I use it to use items I haven't unlocked and play on a brand-new file. But I tested it out and it works gives you achievements when using the mod.
Hey Priets I wanted to let you know that I love you and appreciate you and I got Deadgod last week :) Thank you for the videos I already knew most of the stuff but there were some things I learned from your videos that proved invaluable. I hope your out there living your life and happy! - Love Kev
even if I already knew most of the info here (and probs skipped some stuff explaining how to get an item when I just got the game) this is a really really really good guide. honestly if anyone would get the binding of isaac they should watch this if they're a new player
as a beginner, my mind can not possibly comprehend how this game actually is. it's like im trying to count every atom in the universe. and i thought it's hard to reach the last floor in level 1...
If you play on console press the plus button on another controller you can play multiplayer which does not take away progression and gives progress and gimmicks for each character such as an afk tainted Isaac will give you two item choices and each player adds another boss item after each floor
Awesome video. I knew most of the things but after not having played the game for a while or unlocked most of the alt characters yet, it was a nice refresher.
16:13 pretty sure you made a mistake here, blank card is actually unlocked by beating Isaac with Eden. That’s fresh in my mind since I just unlocked blank card yesterday lol. Anyways, great video, very helpful!
14:37 yeah like you’re going to have cracked orb at this point lmao (i know it’s just saying that for if you need to do mega satan later but it seemed funny to me) good video, still trying to get dead god just need to get back into playing this game that has given me a lot of pain also with the delirium portals segment, you forgot to add in the detail that the 5% portal after mom can only appear if you either have 20 or more items, or your damage is above 10 (i believe that’s the correct requirements)
I bought Isaac around 9 months ago right after the release of repentance and stopped playing because of other games, I just picked it up again 2 weeks ago after coming across this video and currently have 100+ hours on it in just 2 weeks (no I'm not addicted) and just about an hour ago I beat the beast, everything I did was following this guide and I've watched almost every single eden streak you've been doing for the last 2 weeks, I'm really sad I discovered this game after the final update but what can you do lol
I just started playing the binding of isaac about a week and a half ago. Game is a pain in the ass, but I'm already on the mother boss fight. Been stuck on it for about 5 days. Didn't think I could blow through so much of the game this fast
Some more tips. Install External item descriptions, use it after you beat mom once. If you're worried about it spoiling anything don't worry, some items you'll get once out of 100s of runs, so the odds of you figuring it out are very low. Even with the descriptions on, you'll still forget, there are 700+ items, some with not so obvious effects. Install the goodtrip mod, it lets you teleport after you've completed a room, it gives you fast travel basically. It's very needed as sometimes youll have to walk a very long distance to gather hearts to use on donation machines for example. Another reason is that if you use bluebaby, you can put poops in the room you start in and then teleport back after every room and gather a room full of poops to use right before the boss for the flies. Add the item animations mod, there is no reason not to, it just makes the game look so much cooler. Add several of the "synergy" mods, also a few transformation mods such as bomb boy. These don't change anything but they add some features that should have been in the official release, you might get two really cool items and be excited to see how they synergize only to find out they don't. This will fix that. I have about 5 of these going and it just enhances the vanilla experience. Book of belial added synergies, car battery, dr fetus, epic fetus, monstros lung. Add the pog for good items mod, you just need this ok. Enhanced boss bars. This will add unique boss bars for each boss, and give one to bosses that previously wouldn't have one. This one is a much have imo. USoEI 1.5 - Adds a sound effect when you pick up every item in the game. It's pretty funny and makes finding all the items more rewarding. Theres no rush mod - Removes time limits, you should be able to take your time and go at your own pace. Adding time limits just increases stress for no reason Fancy costumes - More costumes and costume synergies. Encyclopedia - Gives you an ingame wiki that looks like it should be in the base game, it tells you all about it, includes cool little trivia facts, and little known information about the item and potential niche uses. Added Enthusiasm - Gives reactions to isaacs face when you use certain pills or cards Add the extra shopkeepers and the even more shopkeepers mod (I can't remember the exact name). This will add 100s and 100s of shopkeepers that have references to just about everything. Purely cosmetic but so much fun. You can even add chatty shopkeepers and it gives them dialogue when you do things in the shop. Another quality of life mod I use and I would recommend as the game is still very difficult, is the "no more useless items" mod. It takes useless items away from the item pool for some characters. A bad item is one thing, this removes items that literally do nothing for you, such as health upgrades for the lost for example. It seems like cheating, but it doesn't feel like it at all, I highly recommend this one. Then, I would go through and unlock character specific things, like the d6 for isaac, dull razor for eve, etc. These simple mods will enhance your experience without altering the core experience, they won't alter difficulty only reduce frustration and tedium. I would install them all immediately after beating mom the first time, you won't regret it and it will just enhance everything for you. They all work together without bugs, and if you want to use modded characters after you finish everything they will all play nice with them. Have fun! If you have any questions about finding a specific mod feel free to ask.
THANKYOU!! My brother got me into this game (BTW HE IS 9 YEARS OLD PLAYING THIS) anddd I like this game!! I once thought that getting soul hearts will have a higher chance of you getting to an angel room. LOL.
Valuable tip he did not mention: if you're at level 2, that is to say if you have beaten Mom once but not unlocked It Lives yet, you can get to Sheol or Cathedral by getting a Devil of Angel Room after beating Mom's Heart. In said special rooms, rather than finding items, you will find a trapdoor or a beam of light which will bring you to the next floor. It's also possible to go to the next floor if you manage to teleport to the I am Error room or find a soiled Bedroom, which will contain a trapdoor that you can reveal by bombing the carpet. You'll still have to go fight Satan and Isaac again later, when you unlock the Polaroid and Negative, but playing in those floors as a new player to me was challenging and fun, and good practice for later on in the game when you've unlocked the deeper endgames and Everything Is Terrible. Super pro tip if you're feeling spicy, it's possible to beat Satan or Isaac and then use the Sacrifice Room to teleport to the Dark Room floor, which can save you some time on completion marks. If you have enough health, skill and luck to succeed with this strategy, it's possible to get the completion marks for Mom's Heart, Isaac or Satan, The Lamb and Mega Satan (not to mention Boss Rush and Hush) all in one go on a single character without even having unlocked It Lives! Happy grinding
This is useful info! I did not include a lot of the exceptions and more advanced tips and tricks because I wanted to have as little fluff for new players. This is a great tip!
you should clarify that self inflicted red heart damage (beggars, donations, IV bad) as well as curse room doors and sacrifice room spikes don't decrease devil or angel room chance in repentance
Get use to playing on hard mode and learn how to play with the lost if you can, it will make you much better at isaac in general. I’m still on my path to dead God right now, it’s tuff.
great video, enjoyed watching it however there are a few inaccuracies that, considering this is also meant for completely new players, might be confusing or misleading these are just a few that stood out to me 1. mentioning that dark room even exists this early on is kinda spoilery imo, considering that you recommended not watching beyond the level one is currently on as well as the existence of the angels and mega satan, which are only relevant after you've beaten chest or dark room at least once, tho i guess these two are technically possible at this point with the sacrifice rooms so that's fine but i highly doubt that at this level of play you have enough health to use them enough for that 2. you can't even get random void portals until after you've beaten hush at least once 3. i find it a bit irritating that you say to just begin with the greed mode unlocks by doing "normal greed mode" when greedier isn't even available until you've played quite a bit of greed mode also, i am surprised that you didn't even introduce the concept of tinted/marked rocks and how to find them, you only mentioned them once at all because imo the 3 most important stats to becoming good at isaac early on are learning to dodge, finding secret rooms and spotting tinted rocks also also, i wouldv'e appreciated a few more side notes on e.g. how to specifically unlock cracked orb (like yeah sure, completion marks, but a small little text on screen would've sufficed) all in all, yes a lot of these things i mentioned not being in the video save on video length, and more detailed stuff is explained in other videos you point to however i think this needs a bit more polish to be truly called the "ultimate" guide still, awesome video :)
Correction: Regular secret rooms don't have to border at least 2 rooms, and even though it's rare, they can actually spawn next to 1 room (usually in basement I or II) Also, super secret rooms can only border regular rooms and will never border treasure rooms, cursed rooms etc.
wow i have 1600 hours and never knew that Mr. ME could unlock the Mega Satan door. Even though I have 2 Dead God save files vids like these can still teach you something!

here is a AMAZING way to get eve+samson, Step 1: go to greed mode. Step 2: get 20 coins Step 3: make sure the shop has "We need to go deeper" and a battery. Step 4: Buy the We need to go deeper and use it. Then buy a battery Step 5: go in the trapdoor and use we need to go deeper again. then there you go!

I like mattman for entertainment priets for information
We need a part 2, please. And if you do decide to make a second one lose don’t rush it. This one was so nice and I want you to have fun making a second. I wish you the best of luck my friend. Have fun and live on.
Honestly if you are new to the game just start on hard mode, it doesn't really make the game that much harder and if you are going to have to change difficulties anyways better to get used to it from the start.
1
in repentance hard mode IS significantly harder than normal mode, but honestly i would still recommend people to play it because you wont get used to normal mode's difficulty and it'll be easier to manage it that way. plus your gonna have to change anyway yeah
@@triplepain522 Yeah but it's not as significant as greed to greedier for example.
@@KingOfMalevolence Agreed
or should I say... a GREED?
you can just play normal mode until you defeat mom first time, after that play hard mode cuz there is always chance that you will get to chest/dark room without unlocking polaroid/negative
Sick video! Really well done 🙏
Thank you! This means a lot coming from one of the greatest!
@@Priets for real! im trying to make some guides as well
indeed!
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 Items are taken away at random, and shops, and you are the Lost Without holy mantle.
@@andreasfrostnordstrm-hanse2684
I don’t understand- victory laps automatically turn you into the lost, no matter what character you are? Or victory laps can only be done with the lost?
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 yes in the third victory lap you play as the lost. So one hit will kill you
I came back to this video just to say thanks this video was amazing and I’ve unlocked all normal and tainted characters and genuinely gotten better and it all comes back to this video idk if you’ll even see this but thank you
While having only Jera unlocked helps to make stronger runs, saving a lot of the challenge-locked items for the endgame makes it harder to collect them all for the final achievement.
This is the *DEFINITIVE* guide for beginners. Thank you so much!!!
Hey man, this vid is great honestly. i have around 150 hours in the game now but im still learning new stuff all the time :) good to see the channel grow!
Oh, you made a guide to Isaac? Name EVERYTHING in Isaac then
… you’re mom
Already am Deadgod, just watched to see a very good made guide. Good job dude.
Now do the other two saves :)
Now do t-lost greedier run
all the time you grinded for that achievement, someone was giving your "mom" "penetrate tears"
Took me 87 deaths to beat mom
So much easier from there.

Year later and still helped me. Wouldnt know most of these tips without help. Great video by the way. Very informative.
Very well made video, although you might want to mention that the "Five Nights at Mom's" part is changed in Repentance, making it easier. (5 to 3)
the fact you were able to cover everything and in less than 21 minutes is incredible
Thanks Priets, I'm getting back into Isaac after a multi-year break and just tryna unlock everything! Super helpful vid :D
for devil/angel deal chance: you can take red bone heart damage, BUT if your bone heart breaks, that will reduce your deal chance
You don't need a lot of health for sacrifice rooms, you just need a source of more health. This is a fantastic guide BTW! I wish I'd watched when I began
I started playing in October and have been desperately searching for a guide like this. Thank you!!
Yo same, i got the game for the first time in october 8
finally a video that actually helps rather than just some guy bitching about the playerbase.
somebodies upset
Yo mad appreciation for this as someone who just started and has found most current info to be a bit overwhelming, love that I can come back after I beat a few more bosses ;)
thx ive played binding of isaac for a long time and this still helped me keep up the good work
Looked this up 3 hours and got nothing. Searched again and now this. Let’s go dude
a tip i'd like to add is that super secret rooms are usually between the boss room and the shop
imo it's more like they're either in the nearest room to the boss or the furthest one
WTF, this game is insane. Thanks for the video.
When you realize you're in the last phase but still haven't done some challenges from phase 1-
Not really that significant, but something you didn't mention that might be helpful for new players is that you can get to Cathedral or Sheol early (Before defeating Mom's Heart 11 times) by having an Angel or Devil room trigger after the Mom's Heart fight!
Alternatively, you can even get to Sheol early by using We Need To Go Deeper or Ehwaz
Yeah, I always get that to happen lol, always get devil post heart
I’ve been playing Isaac casually for a few years now and half of this stuff I haven’t seen yet 😂 probably the best investment I’ve made in a game
"So these are the basics of the Game"
"Now become god"
Remind me to post a full review of this video later. I have several issues with several points of this video.
From an Isaac veteran, this video has a lot of good info but also a lot of misinformation. I’d suggest downloading the binding of Isaac guide app or looking at the wiki both have such great breakdowns for literally everything in the game. I still use it every time i play
Hey Priets, just wanted you to know that you're my favorite TBoI youtuber, and is probably the most underrated channel I've seen in months. You upload contantly and never disappoints me with your helpful content, all the best for you, hope you get more subs and fame soon ❤️❤️❤️
Awesome video. I just started playing and theres so much stuff going on I needed that I needed this explanation. Much help -Thanks
I watched this 400+ Isaac hours ago then came back now to watch again. Thanks for all the tips. I have unlocked Godhead and need only to unlock T. Jacob for all characters unlocked. Thank you again
sick video! only one thing, in 11:35 you talk about 5 nights at moms achivement, in repentance they changed it to a 3 winstreak with different characters instead of 5!
Oh wow I had no clue. Thank you for the info. If people are on older versions this will still be useful. People on repentance will get it easier than they expect!
Bruh
I actually just did three runs as Lazarus, Bethany, and Azazel and my streak is 3 now but I still haven't unlocked the achievement. I'm not really sure If its bugged but I'm a little scared to have to run all the way to blue baby twice more man
@@vlad_ebat Что брухаешь? Крутой типо?
Damn I'm glad then. I didn't do this achivement yet, and I have tons of completion marks lmao xD
Just as I felt that i was stuck, this video hit my recommendations feed!
Thanks, Priets!
You don't know how much time i spent to find this video!!!,TY SO MUCH
this is very cool i have beaten the beast for the first time this december but i still have alot to do
I've come back to this video like 12 times this week😭
Why is isaac so long😭
I just got Binding of Isaac on my 3ds, and I'm getting tutorials/guides before I play it
I’d like to point out that you picked up an eternal heart. And i immediately lost it.
as a beginner, my mind can not possibly comprehend how this game actually is. it's like im trying to count every atom in the universe. and i thought it's hard to reach the last floor in level 1...
If you play on console press the plus button on another controller you can play multiplayer which does not take away progression and gives progress and gimmicks for each character such as an afk tainted Isaac will give you two item choices and each player adds another boss item after each floor
"stepping on the spikes in a sacrifice room will take away a full heart"
The wafer: imma stop you right there.
wow ur guide was great as a new player i cant get to mom but i think i will beat hear today
just realized how complicated this game is haha. there's so much to complicate - i truly love it
Awesome video.
14:37 yeah like you’re going to have cracked orb at this point lmao (i know it’s just saying that for if you need to do mega satan later but it seemed funny to me)
good video, still trying to get dead god just need to get back into playing this game that has given me a lot of pain
also with the delirium portals segment, you forgot to add in the detail that the 5% portal after mom can only appear if you either have 20 or more items, or your damage is above 10 (i believe that’s the correct requirements)
Thanks Priets, I am now and Isaac master, I will now win every single run.
EDIT: i died.
oof
Adding time limits just increases stress for no reason
Fancy costumes - More costumes and costume synergies.
Encyclopedia - Gives you an ingame wiki that looks like it should be in the base game, it tells you all about it, includes cool little trivia facts, and little known information about the item and potential niche uses.
Added Enthusiasm - Gives reactions to isaacs face when you use certain pills or cards
Add the extra shopkeepers and the even more shopkeepers mod (I can't remember the exact name).

Dude I've been looking for a video that explains the progression like this thanks !
An exclusive!!!! It’s arrived 😮😮😮
you should clarify that self inflicted red heart damage (beggars, donations, IV bad) as well as curse room doors and sacrifice room spikes don't decrease devil or angel room chance in repentance
With 400 hours in the game this video is useless to me but for some reason still damn entertaining
Did you get 1 million %?
@@joaoclaudio1087 no but i got 1001% before repentance i think? i completed one save file :)
Brilliant Video! now I have a plan on the 637 achievements will be watching the other videos too!
Damn, that's a masterpiece, congrats and thanks, needed exactly this kind of information!
This video has literally shown me just how little ive done in the game. Wins in a row is insane to do
Get use to playing on hard mode and learn how to play with the lost if you can, it will make you much better at isaac in general. I’m still on my path to dead God right now, it’s tuff.
I know I a kind of late but I just wanted to say thank you for this guide ^^
And the intro was especially cool, neat idea with that little boon
great video, enjoyed watching it
however there are a few inaccuracies that, considering this is also meant for completely new players, might be confusing or misleading
these are just a few that stood out to me
1. mentioning that dark room even exists this early on is kinda spoilery imo, considering that you recommended not watching beyond the level one is currently on
as well as the existence of the angels and mega satan, which are only relevant after you've beaten chest or dark room at least once, tho i guess these two are technically possible at this point with the sacrifice rooms so that's fine
but i highly doubt that at this level of play you have enough health to use them enough for that
2. you can't even get random void portals until after you've beaten hush at least once
3. i find it a bit irritating that you say to just begin with the greed mode unlocks by doing "normal greed mode" when greedier isn't even available until you've played quite a bit of greed mode
also, i am surprised that you didn't even introduce the concept of tinted/marked rocks and how to find them, you only mentioned them once at all
because imo the 3 most important stats to becoming good at isaac early on are learning to dodge, finding secret rooms and spotting tinted rocks
also also, i wouldv'e appreciated a few more side notes on e.g. how to specifically unlock cracked orb (like yeah sure, completion marks, but a small little text on screen would've sufficed)
all in all, yes a lot of these things i mentioned not being in the video save on video length, and more detailed stuff is explained in other videos you point to
however i think this needs a bit more polish to be truly called the "ultimate" guide
still, awesome video :)
for those wondering how to get the settings unlocked, you need to buy the DLC.
which one
That transition at the start was smooth
Correction: Regular secret rooms don't have to border at least 2 rooms, and even though it's rare, they can actually spawn next to 1 room (usually in basement I or II)
Also, super secret rooms can only border regular rooms and will never border treasure rooms, cursed rooms etc.
I already have dead god, but still watched the vid just because its well made. Good job!
wow i have 1600 hours and never knew that Mr. ME could unlock the Mega Satan door. Even though I have 2 Dead God save files vids like these can still teach you something!

(other than this sentence the video is good, keep up the good work!)
I only used that sentence to transition into talking about external it description mod and the platinum item list. I know it was a very strange blanket statement. Thanks for watching!
the fact that im technically on level 4 and i didnt beat any challenges (i tried i suck at them)
It’s so funny that before this video, I got a promotional ad for the Binding of Isaac card game.
A hard or at least very low intuive is a coop baby unlocked by using a sun card with the blank card
here is a AMAZING way to get eve+samson,
Step 1: go to greed mode.
Step 2: get 20 coins
Step 3: make sure the shop has "We need to go deeper" and a battery.
Step 4: Buy the We need to go deeper and use it. Then buy a battery
Step 5: go in the trapdoor and use we need to go deeper again.
then there you go!
Asking new players to beat challenge 37 is power move
