RGT 85 picked it up on release day in Australia. Wouldn’t call it a budget title though as it costs $80...anyway I really enjoyed the hot mess that is Assassins Creed 3 also, thanks to your video. Got about 80 hours out of it!
I bought the switch and didn't play for 4 month straight because I couldn't find any games.. the Nintendo eshop sucks!! Then I found these TH-cam videos which recommend good games
One of the reasons why this game and Assassins creed III are my fave games. III because the American revolutionary period is one of my favorite eras of history and IV because I hoped that they would do pirates after letting us play pirate in III by allowing us to control a ship.
I gotta say, this package is great. I got it for $12 digital for my Switch Lite. I absolutely love it. So nice to be able to play these games anywhere. The only issue I've seen is sometimes when it's night time on Black Flag it's incredibly hard to see what's going on, even with the brightness up. But it's not a big deal.
Yea I just needed to make sure it was the same as in ps4 game play, that's why I'm here lol and for $14.79 can't go wrong with this game. So yes definitely a COP
An interesting thing happened to me related to this game. I went to purchase a preowned copy of this from a local Pawn Brokers here in Australia. I had asked the proprietors to hold it for me a couple of days ago. When I picked it up, I paid $20AU for the game. Then when they were checking it’s contents, I discovered that there were two Switch cards inside. One for this game, and another of Skyrim! The staff of the Pawn Brokers let me have Skyrim for no extra charge. So I ended up getting two great games for a lower than usual price. Lucky!
I've never played any assassin's Creed game a day in my life but this game is so much fun and I'll get involved in the story I feel like I should have started with assassin's Creed one but man this game is cool
Assassin's Creed III was my first game in the series. I loved it so much that I now have the entire series on various consoles. The only thing that nearly threw me off when I first got A.C. III was the super boring Desmond/Abstergo parts. I've always hated those parts in every game, and always will. Fortunately they become much shorter and more tolerable in later games (Origins and Odyssey).
The Ezio trilogy is overrated in my opinion. I enjoyed every game more than that (except Liberation, which was the worst). Though there were certain aspects of gameplay from those games that I miss.
recently got this & so far i'm loving it...feels like a game version of "Black Sails" down to the historical aspects and even the whole shark harpooning sequence - this pack is indeed a MUST BUY
My favourites are: 1) Ac Brotherhood 2) Ac Origins 3) Ac Black Flag 4) Ac Revelations 6) Ac Unity 5) Ac Odyssey 6) Ac Syndicate 7) Ac 3 although the story was good I didn't like connor at all All in all, each game has it's individual charm and feel. I love each one as it's own game, although killing Desmond was the worst thing they possibly could have done. Now it feels like the story is going nowhere. But Origins really blew me away in terms of story and character, really wasn't expecting it at all. Gave me hope in the games to come.
the acs I like are basically AC2 AC ACBF ACR ACL AC3 (connor was a great videogame character but an ok ac character) the others either I haven't played or seen it yet
If you liked black flag then you'll like rogue and having them both in a combo like this is a great buy. You get to see both sides of the story. You get to see the assassin's from kenway in AC4 and you see the templar side in rogue. Rogue takes place in similar timeline as 4 so it's not like other game's in the series.
I'd urge you to buy the book series, you'll never know what happens to edward kenway after the ending of the game unless you read the book. Not to mention as the AC games went on, the writing got worse.

I've never read the books so might give them a read. I didnt even know Assasins Creed had it's own set of books. After playing Rogues story from what I learned Assasins used to be the good guys but then eventually they became bad and corrupted with power. Not only that but I remember John making an accurate statement in Black Flag. "Hey did you know that Abstergo was run by Templars". He completely foreshadows the ending of Rogue which is sorta neat.
Now you've got your wish! I actually bought the Switch because of the Ezio collection release. Of course, there are other great games that I'll be picking up in the future.

The first AC was the first game I played on my PS3. Black Flag was the first game I played on my PS5. Hopefully, Ubisoft will announce one for next year so it can be the first I play on PS5 or Scarlett. This franchise is special to me, bc it's the one that got me back into gaming after a hiatus of about a decade.
Got it recently and have been loving it! One thing go into settings and play without tutorial pop ups, weapon indicator, and mini map. Makes it a lot more immersive in handheld and marking the map more important!
this is the first time I played any of the assassins creed games, but I have to admit this game on my switch lite looks stunning.. Incredible that the switch lite can pump out such great graphics.. Overall great game and highly recommended..
It has nothing to do with cost cutting. It has everything to do with boosting "new" game sales, and limiting the amount of "used" game sales at retailers like Gamestop, as it seriously affects their profit margins. They could easily fit both games on a single cartridge. Just like how even smaller game bundles, like the Mega Man Legacy collections, were packaged this very same way. They did the same thing with Bayonetta 1+2. They've done it numerous times, and will continue to do so. And I guarantee you that it's to boost profits, and undercut resale purchases, by enticing new game purchases. Gamestop has warning stickers all over the used copies of games like this, telling customers it only includes the ONE game, even though it says BOTH on the case. I was planning on buying a used copy of Bayonetta 2, until I realized this.
I’ve already played Black Flag numerous times over. Definitely a highlight of the series for me as a pirate fan. Rogue I’ve only played once, it’s relatively short by comparison, but still a great game. If you’ve already played these games to death though it’s a hard sell.
One of my favorite things to do was sailing out to the point where I couldn't see land, and sit and wait for the sun to rise, at which time I instructed my men to sing a shanty, "Way hay and up she rises, Way hay and up she rises, Way hay and up she rises, Ear-ly in the morning."

Played both these titles on PlayStation 3 when they released. Very interesting to see how the Switch-versions turned out. Might still get them at some point. :)
I bought the switch version yesterday for €25 euros. Dude I'm having so much fun from this game again. I played it on Xbox 360, Xbox one, pc and now on the switch.

You might not see this comment since it's old but I enjoyed playing through both of these games in handheld mode using my custom Binbok joycons. :). 2 of my favourite Assasins Creed games. Especially with Black Flag. I loved the pirate arc.
I did download the Rogue onto my Switch, after the Rebel Collection arrived, but I haven't played it yet. Since I wanted to know more about the schematics for Assassin's Creed I did buy the first one for our 360. I did play a bit (up until the 2nd sync location), and that little bit, did actually help me, to start playing the 3rd game on Switch. Haven't played Black Flag since before entering the red circle, but I do plan to. Personally, I think it would be nice if they put the first game on Switch format, I would definitely buy it, because portable *is* key when you have kids.
AC 4 Black flag is one of the best game ever created . just leave that assassins creed crap . this game is a master piece . really interesting characters , pirates amazing side quests . fantastic sound track and this game is crazy

Rogue is pretty much more Black Flag set in the North Atlantic, New York, Albany. It's shorter than BF but it has all the same naval combat with the addition of using icebergs to cause massive waves to damage enemies. The ship's ram also can be used to tear through ice. You aren't a pirate in Rogue but you can do all the pirating stuff pretty much.
Rogue is FANTASTIC if you can make time to play it alongside black flag. Almost identical gameplay, with some small differences, but playing as a templar and hunting assassins, and sailing the icy northern waters was just something else. I'm hoping the Rebel Collection crushes it in sales numbers so maybe we can get more AC games down the road. I want the Ezio Collection to get a switch port. It would be cool if Syndicate and Unity made it to switch as well.
I'm always skeptical of big games like this porting onto the switch, but I am incredibly impressed. It's an even bigger steal today with it being only $25 cnd ($20 usd) at the moment. Downloading this now!
@Dirt_on_Diamonds would 100% recommend. You're not gonna get a high graphics as playstation or Xbox, but I'm really impressed how well this port works on the switch. I got it on a discount one-time on the nintendo eshop but I'd even say it's worth it at its regular price.

This game is a top 5 port on the Switch, both games are actually worth it, in particular Black Flag, which is probably the third best Assassin's Creed game ever made.
I had played Assassin's Creed 4 on the PlayStation 3 years ago. I recently picked up this collection to try it out and honestly can say I'm pretty satisfied with it. I'm not that far in the game yet, but it's fun to play as are most of the Assassin's Creed games that I've played
Rogue is basically a smaller version of black flag, and obviously, its not as good as it, but it is still a pretty good game and it does introduce a really cool concept. I personally love these 2 games, and to see them put onto the switch is just oh so amazing to me
@@Aaron4thw I agree it's unlikely but most people on Switch accept graphical downgrades I think Syndicate is possible at maybe 540p and reduced textures similar to the Witcher 3. Origins and Odyssey maybe on Switch Pro.
You are completely right. Well I told you I'm going on April 5th to set up for surgery but now we are facing the sad possibility that in 2 days are probably going to have to have our dog euthanized and she would ride with my mom to come pick me up from the hospital after having surgery and staying overnight. I'm getting ready for my 56th surgery and when our dog was only a puppy she rode with my mom to pick me up from the hospital the day after surgery so this is very hard on me.
Of course RGT would leave out the best part about Black Flag. THE SEA SHANTIES! Those songs will be in your head for weeks, but you'll have no regrets.
From my short time playing this game on the switch so far I find that the controls will need some getting used to when free running on the switch but overall this game is amazing that I can play it on the go
6:31 They changed the loading screen, it used to be white in Assassins Crees 3 and that was really annoying when you were playing it at night, I like that tiny detail.

the story of rogue is incredible. and they FINALLY made it where guards weren't red on your map; distinguishing guards from actual enemies was always a huge complaint of mine.
I quite like the present day in Black Flag. It’s a complete switch up from Desmond, as instead of someone training to become an Assassin you’re simply a nameless first person camera with no background working within Abstergo and no stake in the conflict between the Order and the Brotherhood. Any other game you’d be an NCP the Assassin protagonist might rescue. It also presents the game as very new to the franchise friendly, lacking the Prevously On the entries have have had since 2. The Player Character reflects Edward in that he too has no background in the conflict, although he’s more of a rogue element who ends up benefitting the Assassins more. Having a Sage character in both time periods is a good parallel two, the physical identity of a modern day character being concealed until the twist is played (although his actions have already given away he’s nuttier than a box full of squirrels). The hacking side content gives access to some fascinating tidbits about characters known and yet to be introduced. What other game includes an excerpt of its novelisation as a reward for chasing down side content?
Kinda lost interest in the series after the third one, I'm still hoping for the Ezio Collection (AC 2, Brotherhood & Revelations) to get ported over to Switch
Another aspect no-one talks about when you talk about switch is cart Vs Blu-ray.to get an assassins creed game that will last alot longer than Blu-ray versions is awesome and you don't have to worry about it getting scratched
You can’t do a review on a two pack and only review one of the games just because you’re too lazy to download the other... that does a disservice to your viewers who want a review on the full package.
Rogue is the same as black flag but in the northeast and is a very good game. It's great that both are in one package because black flag is assassin's point of view, while rogue is the templars side of things. So this combo shows both sides of the fight we hear about in the games.
I am thinking of getting part 3 as well as these since I haven't played any Assassin Creed games (incarceration). I like pirates and it looks really fun to sail around, Rogue looks interesting in being on the opposite side. Yep looking forward to getting this
Michael Rojelio black flag is one of the best games in the series so that would be a good place for you to start. I personally really loved 3 as well just because it’s set during the American revolution and has a lot of historical figures like George Washington directly involved in the story but overall it’s the most divisive game in the series, some people hate it but imo it’s worth playing. I don’t really have an opinion on rogue though I’ve never played that one myself all I can tell you is that is the only game in the series where you play on the opposite side of the conflict as a Templar rather than an assassin. Also if you are a fan of games with Rpg elements you should also try origins and odyssey. Those are the 2 most recent games in the series and have some of the best most diverse open worlds I’ve ever seen in any game

Play ac ezio collection and blackflag. They re the best in the collection of ac games till now

Rogue is A LOT like Black Flag, except the setting is different.
Im a pc gamer as i really love strategy games. But when travelling i jst love my rpgs on my switch lite.

I did download the Rogue onto my Switch, after the Rebel Collection arrived, but I haven't played it yet.
Since I wanted to know more about the schematics for Assassin's Creed I did buy the first one for our 360. I did play a bit (up until the 2nd sync location), and that little bit, did actually help me, to start playing the 3rd game on Switch. Haven't played Black Flag since before entering the red circle, but I do plan to.
Personally, I think it would be nice if they put the first game on Switch format, I would definitely buy it, because portable *is* key when you have kids.
AC 4 Black flag is one of the best game ever created . just leave that assassins creed crap . this game is a master piece . really interesting characters , pirates amazing side quests . fantastic sound track and this game is crazy

Rogue is pretty much more Black Flag set in the North Atlantic, New York, Albany. It's shorter than BF but it has all the same naval combat with the addition of using icebergs to cause massive waves to damage enemies. The ship's ram also can be used to tear through ice. You aren't a pirate in Rogue but you can do all the pirating stuff pretty much.

Runs in native 1080p and stable 30fps. Abig step up from the wii u version which was native 720p and 20 - 30fps.

Rogue is FANTASTIC if you can make time to play it alongside black flag. Almost identical gameplay, with some small differences, but playing as a templar and hunting assassins, and sailing the icy northern waters was just something else.
I'm hoping the Rebel Collection crushes it in sales numbers so maybe we can get more AC games down the road. I want the Ezio Collection to get a switch port. It would be cool if Syndicate and Unity made it to switch as well.

@Dirt_on_Diamonds would 100% recommend. You're not gonna get a high graphics as playstation or Xbox, but I'm really impressed how well this port works on the switch. I got it on a discount one-time on the nintendo eshop but I'd even say it's worth it at its regular price.

Amazing man, I reccomend you get it. Despite the 30 fps the graphics are amazing the story is SO good man its a have to get... And thats just portable mode

I had played Assassin's Creed 4 on the PlayStation 3 years ago. I recently picked up this collection to try it out and honestly can say I'm pretty satisfied with it. I'm not that far in the game yet, but it's fun to play as are most of the Assassin's Creed games that I've played

Rogue is basically a smaller version of black flag, and obviously, its not as good as it, but it is still a pretty good game and it does introduce a really cool concept.
I personally love these 2 games, and to see them put onto the switch is just oh so amazing to me

Nah Syndicate, origins and Odyssey are way better and more in depth. Hope to see them ported also.

@@Aaron4thw I agree it's unlikely but most people on Switch accept graphical downgrades I think Syndicate is possible at maybe 540p and reduced textures similar to the Witcher 3. Origins and Odyssey maybe on Switch Pro.
You are completely right. Well I told you I'm going on April 5th to set up for surgery but now we are facing the sad possibility that in 2 days are probably going to have to have our dog euthanized and she would ride with my mom to come pick me up from the hospital after having surgery and staying overnight. I'm getting ready for my 56th surgery and when our dog was only a puppy she rode with my mom to pick me up from the hospital the day after surgery so this is very hard on me.

Of course RGT would leave out the best part about Black Flag. THE SEA SHANTIES! Those songs will be in your head for weeks, but you'll have no regrets.
From my short time playing this game on the switch so far I find that the controls will need some getting used to when free running on the switch but overall this game is amazing that I can play it on the go
6:31 They changed the loading screen, it used to be white in Assassins Crees 3 and that was really annoying when you were playing it at night, I like that tiny detail.

@@homeslicehomeslice, it clearly says it at the top of the box art, Assassin's Creed Rogue digital download, It just doesn't stand out like dogs balls lol, like it does on Starlink, Battle For Atlas, so people may just miss it, at least the boxart isn't ruined, thankyou to Ubisoft for that.

the story of rogue is incredible. and they FINALLY made it where guards weren't red on your map; distinguishing guards from actual enemies was always a huge complaint of mine.

I quite like the present day in Black Flag. It’s a complete switch up from Desmond, as instead of someone training to become an Assassin you’re simply a nameless first person camera with no background working within Abstergo and no stake in the conflict between the Order and the Brotherhood. Any other game you’d be an NCP the Assassin protagonist might rescue. It also presents the game as very new to the franchise friendly, lacking the Prevously On the entries have have had since 2. The Player Character reflects Edward in that he too has no background in the conflict, although he’s more of a rogue element who ends up benefitting the Assassins more. Having a Sage character in both time periods is a good parallel two, the physical identity of a modern day character being concealed until the twist is played (although his actions have already given away he’s nuttier than a box full of squirrels). The hacking side content gives access to some fascinating tidbits about characters known and yet to be introduced. What other game includes an excerpt of its novelisation as a reward for chasing down side content?
Kinda lost interest in the series after the third one, I'm still hoping for the Ezio Collection (AC 2, Brotherhood & Revelations) to get ported over to Switch

Agreed... great port... way way better than the Wii-U version from memory, of which I was incredibly disappointed in performance and looks wise

Another aspect no-one talks about when you talk about switch is cart Vs Blu-ray.to get an assassins creed game that will last alot longer than Blu-ray versions is awesome and you don't have to worry about it getting scratched
You can’t do a review on a two pack and only review one of the games just because you’re too lazy to download the other... that does a disservice to your viewers who want a review on the full package.
Rogue is the same as black flag but in the northeast and is a very good game. It's great that both are in one package because black flag is assassin's point of view, while rogue is the templars side of things. So this combo shows both sides of the fight we hear about in the games.

I am thinking of getting part 3 as well as these since I haven't played any Assassin Creed games (incarceration). I like pirates and it looks really fun to sail around, Rogue looks interesting in being on the opposite side. Yep looking forward to getting this
Michael Rojelio black flag is one of the best games in the series so that would be a good place for you to start. I personally really loved 3 as well just because it’s set during the American revolution and has a lot of historical figures like George Washington directly involved in the story but overall it’s the most divisive game in the series, some people hate it but imo it’s worth playing. I don’t really have an opinion on rogue though I’ve never played that one myself all I can tell you is that is the only game in the series where you play on the opposite side of the conflict as a Templar rather than an assassin. Also if you are a fan of games with Rpg elements you should also try origins and odyssey. Those are the 2 most recent games in the series and have some of the best most diverse open worlds I’ve ever seen in any game
