Instead of using a silencer core with consistent perforations and constant diameter, drill out about 2/3 of the holes to a bit larger diameter, in a random pattern. Then, put large dents in the core with a ball peen hammer. People love straight lines, but power loves some randomness. The power should not be affected, much, but it should be significantly quieter. Back in the 1980’s, a magazine dynoed a 2-stroke bike while adding more and more dents in the pipe to see how badly dented a pipe can be without losing power. To their surprise, adding dents added power. The pipe had to be severely mangled before the power dropped off.
So few question What fuel is this bike running? Could a customer send his cylinder head and carb and purchase this package? Would you have to dyno every bike to dial in the timing With a new cdi?
My business is all mail order cylinders and motors. This customer likes c12. We do not have to dyno every package, but if a client want's it tuned as best we can then the extra expense of doing so can find that last little bit
Yet again I learn something new watching HP videos thanks man I appreciate it! Is the short silencer just bad for 85s? would u run a short one on a 250 2 stroke or go for mid or long silencer?
@@adamhollins yes. although long or short with same sizes also changes back pressure. my guess is the long silencer top end comments historically come from the fact longer silencers would be a tad more air restrictive than short so more back pressure
Hola ..esta muy bien lo que haces y me gusta ..pero vas a enfermar de los pulmones ...yo estuve asi un tiempo ..y al final es muy barato y facil poner extracion de humos con un tubo flexible de aluminio y un extractor de cocina antiguo tipo caracol ...hazlo por favor te lo digo por experiencia, asi no puedes seguir ..no se te ve casi en el video de tantos ensayos y tragando ese humo ...muy buenos videos si señor ;)

In order to get the advantage of the GET CDI you have to dyno each bike? Our 105 cylinder has a little bit of porting.

both silencers were same length

So if this bike had tps would programming the CDI be much more complicated? I imagine it would.
