  • The Evora full face by Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is a compact CPAP mask that's great with any sleep position for sleep apnea. The mask fitting of this CPAP headgear doesn't obstruct your view, unlike the F&P Vitera model. If you have sleep apnea and sleep with your mouth open, or if you currently use a nasal pillow or nasal mask because of how streamlined they are, then try the F&P Evora full with the Fit Pack options for all sizes of the mask cushion. This is sure to be one of the best masks for CPAP machine users.

    I just picked up this mask today from my Dr's office. It was great to see the handling techniques to get the mask assembled and fitted. Nice to see how to approach the mask and frame !!! A very well organized and presented video !!! Good Job.

    I found this mask to be more comfortable than the F30i hybrid. Mask comfort is subjective to each preferences. I hate the top hose connection but many people like that. I also have less leaks with the evora about 4L compared to about 13L with the F30.

    I'm a bipap user and the only mask I've been able to use so far is the AirTouch F20. I got the Evora today and tested it and I didn't get any leaks at all and it was fantastic but under my nose started hurting quite a lot after 2 hours. I tried 2 sizes and experienced the same issue. I would really appreciate if you could please give me advice. Do you think I'm making the upper straps too tight? I really don't want to have to go back to a full face mask I'm sick of getting redness on the bridge of my nose.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I believe it is the way the mask is being fitted, place the cushion under your nose and mouth and secure it with your hand while the other hand brings over the head strap. Tighten the mask enough so that you can fit 2 fingers under your straps and no more or less. If you are putting on the head strap first and then pulling down the cushion to your nose you are most likely going to be suffering from "miss piggy nose" your nose being pushed up and into your bridge (ouch) See if that helps. Always fit your mask in a well lit room and ensure straps are being tightened at the same time. Hope this helps!

    This seems very similar to the Phillips Amara View, is there a good way to get a comparison between the 2?
    I like the fact that like the Amara View it does not cover the upper face like a full does.
    I have been looking into a similar mask as the straps get easily stretched out, and the plastic place connector where it swivels starts failing and leaking quickly lately (causing me to have to replace 1-2x a month.
    So this intrigues me as a potential resolution for that issue.
    As I live in your area, pickup there has been easy especially with the moved location.

      I would suggest look at the size gauge on our website to see the difference in the face cushion. The headgear is fairly different as well. As one is made of fabric the other plastic. If you have a local supplier, you may want to go in and see if you can look at both items.

    Great mask, but the lack of 360 elbow and the fact that the air blows to much direct from it. I am a side slepper and have hose on wallhanger. Go from left to right and and back during the night, no elbow is a dealbreaker and air is to strong on my arms, when side sleeping and tucking a pillow with arms. Using Resmed F30 instead which does the job but is quite sensible to leaks if you touch hose during night.

      If you have facial hair you may need to shave as masks have a hard time sealing over facial hair. You may also need another size.

    Every single mask I've tried has an issue thus far. The ResMed AirFit P30i, the ResMed AirFit N30i and the Phillips Dreamwear Under the Nose Nasal all leak. I've tried the Bleep Dreamport which doesn't leak but requires adhesives that are one time use which I'd like to avoid. Do you have any recommendations for new masks to try that aren't full face and don't require single use components? What are your favorites?

      N30i is the ONLY mask I can cope with. The strap is useless but I replaced part of it with a Phillips strap and it.s way, way better. Prices in the UK are nuts. Quite frankly, I.m horrified.

    I hate it. The s/m feels like it is digging into the sides of my nose regardless of how tight/loose the straps are. The large leaks like crazy. No in between size. Upper straps rub my ears and hurts. Tightening the top for that pulls the mask upwards. Face sweats like crazy. Rubber is sticky. The smallest shift causes air leaks. In 1 month I have never made it longer than 3hrs before removing it.

    Since there is non heated long tube that connect s to a. Heated hose while using humidity will there be rainout in the smaller tube

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No the rainout is usually caused by a non elevated tube, adding too much water to your water chamber or the humidifier setting set too high. Thank you for watching and If you enjoyed our videos please do not forget to Like, Share, and Subscribe for more CPAP and Sleep related content.

    This mask is dreadful. It tube connected to the mask constantly pops off from the tube connected to the machine. They made it way too flimsy to the point that I couldn’t turn in bed without the tube disconnecting.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  ปีที่แล้ว

      The short tube from the mask popping off from the CPAP tube (6ft tube) is not a mask issue. It may mean that the 6ft tube you have may need to be changed out. If you have had this tube for longer than 6 months, the rubber end where the mask tube fits is stretched out. This is normal ware from use. I suggest trying a new 6ft tube.

      @chuck3835 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RespShop that wasn’t what I was saying, I didn’t explain it the best. At the end of the tube that is connected to the mask, there is a plastic part that inserts into the CPAP 6 foot tube. The plastic piece on the mask tube rotates on the tube itself and also comes off so it is easier to clean the mask daily. However, that plastic piece on the end of the mask tube is EXTREMELY easy to pop off and if you move at all during the night, it is likely to disconnect the mask tube from the CPAP tube thus rendering the person with no connection the machine. So actually it is a mask issue and not a CPAP tube issue. I wouldn’t recommend this mask to anybody.

    Got this one early in the year as a spare used it last night and I sleep on my left side after about 5hrs was digging into my left cheek, other wise is ok but too hot during summer. Would love to wear my P10 without a chin strap, it would be a dream come true. Can be a bit difficult to take apart, harder than the one with magnets that was easy to navigate. Thanks for the information 😊🧑‍🦰
