Why are they even trying this? A vehicle full of lithium batteries is heavier than a regular gas vehicle. That's why it has more addierence with the floor... this seems good, but it's not. This means that we have to change tiers very often, and the tires have to be thicker, which means more pollution to produce them... additional to the lithium pollution... 😉
theres no such thing as lithium pollution. also the tires most likely will be recycled if disposed of properly and yes its expensive but if your buying a 60-100k truck i doubt its much of a problem to change your tires when daily driving them.
A Ford 450 would have been a better comparison. A F-450 Supercab weighs about the same. It costs much less than the Tesla though, but it weighs about the same and that is what is important.
