Vada pav is one of the most popular street foods in Maharashtra, in this recipe video I have shown easy to follow steps for making vada pav. I have also shown the process of making lehsoon or lehsun chutney which is served vada pav. One may make authentic vada pav by following this recipe and lehsoon chutney makes it a complete street style vada pav recipe.
Preparation time - 30 Minutes
Serving - 6
Ingredients:
Pav Bread
Boiled potatoes - 5
Green chilli - 25 gram
Ginger - 3 inch
Garlic - 25 gram
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Peanuts- 1/2 cup
Gram flour (besan)- 1 cup
Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
Rice flour - 1 tbsp (optional)
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds -1 tsp
Hing -1/4 tsp
Cooking oil for frying

A must to eat when you visit Maharashtra. When the train reaches Karjat or Pune stations when you travel from South you'll see "Wada Paw" hawkers calling out "Garam garam Wada paw" and often you will find sellers entering the train and offering you their tasty Wada Paws. That fresh smell of Wada and green chilli is so tempting and irresistible that even if you have had your food there is always some room for a Wada Paw!
