You know, this kinda funny story to play, because I spend the last couple of months buying all the god of wars games from PlayStation 2, 3, 4 and freaking 5 and I has played three of them on PlayStation 3 and I kinda wish I played them sooner, but an interesting idea for another god of war game is to involve with time travel, because would both young and old Kratos work together in a new game idea…I think it would be a game idea.
Redundant story, GoW 1-3 already had Kratos undergo familial development when he "saved" his wife and daughter from Ares. Having the mechanic of him hugging his wife and daughter and offering hp to heal them is superior to anything that GoW 4 and Ragnarok. His struggle with his past is reasonable but it should already have ended in GoW 4. They're just recycling everything again in Ragnarok. Also, out of topic of the video, I'm tired of people acting like Young Kratos was an immature angry manchild. Almost every single human enemy he faced, he warned them before the fight, heck he didn't even want to fight Hercules. After GoW 1, Kratos didn't go after the rest of the olympian gods. But the gods kept messing with him, from Athena not fullfilling her promise to get rid of Kratos's ptsd, torturing and eventually causing the death of his brother Deimos, to Zeus cursing his mother and turning her into a monster that forced Kratos to also end her life. His interaction with Orkos, Pandora and him pushing away his daughter away is a better character development than GoW 4 and Ragnarok imo. Don't get me wrong, the story was fine in GoW 4 and Ragnarok but it was repetitive and Ragnarok was redundant. I hope they stop making Kratos a self loathing mess again in the next game. Otherwise, just give him Jesus already and be done with that lame arc 😂
I hope this isnt a spoiler for Ragnorak. I just got the game and i saw the thumbnail was a cute picture, ive been trying to avoid spoilers for the past 2 years for this so i thought the video was just a fan made thing and i hope it still is 😅😢
Sometimes to realize what we have become you must look back on who you were. So never stop looking back cause once we can't remember where we've been we loose the reason and the strength to keep moving forward.
tbh I was hoping he would fight his younger self at the end, but this is good too. But imagine Older Kratos fighting the post GW3 younger version of himself and using all the weapons he obtained.
What would have been ideal is to have TC return to say some old lines, but in a different tone and completely recontextualized, so that Kratos could have a proper "conversation" with himself, but the original works fine, too.
This scene is great if your only knowledge of young Kratos comes from the last two games and reviewers looking to maintain their insider access. Just flanderize the character and cherry pick his past to make him look like garbage. Ignore all the gods that tricked, tortured and enslaved him. Every single character that kept wanting to attack the spartan never happened. Pretend no one ever broke a promise to this man.
A raging guy wanting to kill anyone that stands in his way is cool and all but what makes old kratos better is that is that he grew from what he was to become a better person not only for him but for his family
I wish he talked so badly. And was like you got soft, you should've killed everyone and shit. And then old kratos would just counter all his points. Then og kratos would be like fuck all this talking, put them blades up. And then we can see og kratos use the gauntlets, hermes wings, hades hooks, etc

Ik people are saying young kratos takes away from it, but remember these are clips from games that aren’t in the correct tone or context. Imagine if we got the actual actor back, or hell even just the current actor also doing young kratos. There would have been much different lines delivered WAY differently. There would have been much more intent behind those lines than just kratos talking for the sake of talking like is shown in this video (not that that’s a bad thing that’s literally what u made the video for lol)
Y’all keep yapping about young kratos being taller? WELL YA WRONG. As you can see, kratos is wearing his old golden red pants smt from when he is young. If it still fits, then he’s the same size. Old kratos is also stronger but holds back A BUNCH.
in my opinion, we should have fight the Old Kratos just once, in a multi phase boss fight. and unlike Tyr who wants you to accept yourself and walk to future free of the past's chains, this will be the 'Accept your past, and accept your past self' brought to you by Valhalla itself. if i was in development team, i would start with Kratos start smacktalking with his future self, like how he does with many gods of Greek. like 'You old fool dont have strength to even touch me, begone!' or 'if you want to see The God of War, here i am' and starts the fight with the LAST WEAPON he got from Hephasteus, the Nemesis Whip. then add some Nemean Cestus attacks which are heavy and slow, but unblockable and deals huge damage, WHILE having some great area of effect damages. then adds Claws of Hades to his moveset where you fight with not just him, but the summons he calls via the Claws, as each heavy attack summons a minion. final phase shall be Blades of Chaos vs Blades of Chaos. True mirror match that uses your own Blades of Chaos moveset, with some added beginning and end lags. ALL THE WHILE VALHALLA SMACK TALKS OLD KRATOS THROUGH YOUNG KRATOS, with words like "i have seen regular humans hits harder than you, and you are supposed to be me" "is that how i become when i am old, someone who runs away? pathetic." or "Death couldn't reap me, Sisters of Fate couldnt weave my fate, NOT EVEN TARTARUS ITSELF COULD HOLD ME. how do you think you will make me fall. and at the last phase, Valhalla locks you to Blades of chaos, the only weapon that he brought from greece. where young Kratos says things like "Do you remember all the carnages we caused with these blades? all the glorious wars we entered into? all the blood we spilled?", "we carved path of Vengence with these blades, through many gods that wished to stop us." and the most favorute of mine that i can think of: "Kratos, The God of War who carves his blades through the battlefield. Kratos the God of Sacrifice, who sacrifices everyone to reach his goals. Kratos the God of Blood, who took both deserving and undeserving the same." and the fight ends not with blood. it ends with Both Kratos wrapping the Chains of their Blades of Chaos with each other, and then, they both unwrap their chains. they run to each other, Young Kratos intending to punch his older and fooler self, but the old Kratos bearhugs him with the warmth he never felt towards himself before. "we spilled blood of many who are undeserving. it is time for us to accept our sins, and accept our past. after all, who will forgive you, if i can't?" young kratos laughs "you talk like we are different person, my future self." this time, old kratos chuckles. "i thought it was the case as well. you are my past. the symbol of my mistakes. You represented me killing Lysandra and Caliope, and the ashes on my skin make me never forget the attrocities i committed in hands of Ares. but like you said, you are me. and its high time, we forgive ourselves." "heh, Enough said." says young kratos before disappearing, leaving the throne alone with Kratos. Kratos then sits the throne, feeling like a GOD first time ever since he became God of War.

people be like "this ruins the scene" like no shit none of the lines are original to this scene and are entirely out of context and place. not to mention the lines chosen are poor. old kratos just expo dumping everything to himself is also stupid as hell and wouldve benefited greatly if he had to actually defend his good qualities for once, instead of just blatantly accepting them and not showing any actual strength gained from it as hes not contested or confronted. explain how youve changed to an old picture of yourself, you will feel stupid and disingenuous. thats exactly what the orginal scene is. and sorry to the maker of this video, but like 3 or 4 ill chosen lines that obviously wont fit no matter what you do, is DOOMED to feel wrong and off, its out of place because the scene isnt the place for it.
yeah i get why the Creator of god of war hates dad of war Kratos. while it does make sense as character development...even though they skipped a lot of it to have him to the point of loving again. The OG God of war trilogy was made as a Greek tragedy with the kind of character that those involve. Kratoos fatal flaw was that he was so angry he never though his action through or though about he had done...to the point he had access to time travel at one point and instead of saving his family or his people he used it to get back into fighting his enemies.... he was rage. Dad of War is a much more complete character but he simply isn't Greek Kratos, he is a fanfic of what others wanted the series to be.... Not that there wasn't a plan to fight the norse butt itr was one where both Egyptian and Northic pantheons pulled an age of mythology after zeus died ....so Kragtos killed them all ...ALL gods, giving a chance for a mortal God to be born...and he would be one of 3 kings who would see the Mesiah at Belen and he would finally allow himself to die, finaLLY FALLING TO THE GUILT HE FELT yeah Kratos was going to meet baby jesus.... it was dumber than what we got ...even if way more epic and pre DEI and still Kratos would have his fatal flaw... Now Kratos NEW fatal flaw is Guilt

Loving Ones self means forgiveness for one.
The story of two Kratoses.
Old Kratos When Sit in chair
mimir: Heavy Breath
I cried when I saw young kratos.
The voice acting is immaculate🤌🏻
true
I hope this isnt a spoiler for Ragnorak. I just got the game and i saw the thumbnail was a cute picture, ive been trying to avoid spoilers for the past 2 years for this so i thought the video was just a fan made thing and i hope it still is 😅😢
It's free dlc, nothing to do with the main game's story.
@@benjaminmacpherson1336bro it's a continuation of the main story
Damn. The acting in this game is topnotch
Sometimes to realize what we have become you must look back on who you were. So never stop looking back cause once we can't remember where we've been we loose the reason and the strength to keep moving forward.
I love u
Real Kratos would fold old, woke Kratos like an omelette. How did we go from blades of chaos to babysitting?!
tbh I was hoping he would fight his younger self at the end, but this is good too. But imagine Older Kratos fighting the post GW3 younger version of himself and using all the weapons he obtained.
Younger Kratos be like "So"
Kratos: The only thing I miss about that life was the size manipulation. Being a giant was cool…
I swear to God they better make another game. I love old Kratos.
Every. Single. Thing about old kratos is better.
A raging guy wanting to kill anyone that stands in his way is cool and all but what makes old kratos better is that is that he grew from what he was to become a better person not only for him but for his family
@ exactly
@@Goddamn_heisenbergdon't man young kratos had better gameplay to me
I feel like this man did not need redemption. He should stay engaged.
I wish both versions of Keaton spoke to each other
Your thumbnail is inaccurate, young Kratos is over 8’ tall and older Kratos was made shorter due to the change of play style and cinematic direction
We should have had present Kratos fight his old self. Final boss, and there could be none more fitting.
I can't wait for Kratos to return home
I wish he talked so badly. And was like you got soft, you should've killed everyone and shit. And then old kratos would just counter all his points. Then og kratos would be like fuck all this talking, put them blades up. And then we can see og kratos use the gauntlets, hermes wings, hades hooks, etc
A wise king once said:
Dam I REALLY THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA FIGHT HIS OLD SELF Telling Him About The Old Ways And Stuff ;(
Thumbnail is inaccurate old kratos tower's over new kratos in hight

I present the song that man should predict the whole entire story of the whole game series before God of war three through five even came out
This is kratos's story told in song form
And no I am not kidding you this song was made in 2007 and not one lyric was touched of what I post and yet this is still this new story if there was ever a song that you have trails to sing in person it should be this one there should be a theme song of a God of war movie
In this farewell
There's no blood, there's no alibi
'Cause I've drawn regret
From the truth of a thousand lies
So let mercy come and wash away
What I've done
I'll face myself
To cross out what I've become
Erase myself
And let go of what I've done
Put to rest
What you thought of me
While I clean this slate
With the hands of uncertainty
So let mercy come and wash away
What I've done
I'll face myself
To cross out what I've become
Erase myself
And let go of what I've done
For what I've done
I start again
And whatever pain may come
Today this ends
I'm forgiving
What I've done
I'll face myself
To cross out what I've become
Erase myself
And LETTING GO OF WHAT I'VE DONE!!!
(Na-na, na, na, na-na, na, na)
(Na-na, na, na, na-na, na, na)
FORGIVING WHAT I'VE DONE!!!!
(Na-na, na, na, na-na, na, na)
(Na-na, na, na, na-na, na)
Yikes 😳 talking about facing your demons it’s cool but which version is better old or young ❤
i hope that this will place the next game on grece i really hope
I kinda wish we had a boss fight against young Kratos
this would be kinda..... against the whole point of this ending
They should remake original gow games with the modern graphics and camera to show more detail to the world of Greece and Olympus.
Young kratos asked if hes done yapping
@stickbot_master8825 Nah, you're wrong.
@@midnari lol. Does bro know anything about GOW? Bro does not pay attention to details
in my opinion, we should have fight the Old Kratos just once, in a multi phase boss fight. and unlike Tyr who wants you to accept yourself and walk to future free of the past's chains, this will be the 'Accept your past, and accept your past self' brought to you by Valhalla itself.
if i was in development team, i would start with Kratos start smacktalking with his future self, like how he does with many gods of Greek. like 'You old fool dont have strength to even touch me, begone!' or 'if you want to see The God of War, here i am' and starts the fight with the LAST WEAPON he got from Hephasteus, the Nemesis Whip. then add some Nemean Cestus attacks which are heavy and slow, but unblockable and deals huge damage, WHILE having some great area of effect damages. then adds Claws of Hades to his moveset where you fight with not just him, but the summons he calls via the Claws, as each heavy attack summons a minion.
final phase shall be Blades of Chaos vs Blades of Chaos.
Kratos the God of Blood, who took both deserving and undeserving the same."
and the fight ends not with blood. it ends with Both Kratos wrapping the Chains of their Blades of Chaos with each other, and then, they both unwrap their chains. they run to each other, Young Kratos intending to punch his older and fooler self, but the old Kratos bearhugs him with the warmth he never felt towards himself before. Kratos then sits the throne, feeling like a GOD first time ever since he became God of War.
he still left Greece deserted and inhabitable!
Crazy to think the creator of GoW didn't want Kratos to develop at all
This is just AbdBay's video, but without the mouth movements.
Was that thumbnail drawn by cluedog?
This is not wut i imagined when i've said it'd b a different kind of interesting if young Kratos talked back, it would've been stronger than that
Is this in the Valhalla dlc?
when people go bald and grow beards dose theyre head hair just become theyre mouth hair
i gotta say, i like ps2 kratos better
These comments firmly remind me why i don't engage with the fandoms of things i like. 50%+ of yall either need to grow up or are just... Lame. Sad.
This wasnt said to offend. But if you are offended, then clearly you thought this was for you. In which case, you're right. But only by default.
Brooo did Kratos just confirm the next 3 'God of' franchises? Atreus would be the God of Pain.
FUN FACT: Young Kratos is taller than Old Kratos
people be like "this ruins the scene" like no shit none of the lines are original to this scene and are entirely out of context and place.
not to mention the lines chosen are poor. old kratos just expo dumping everything to himself is also stupid as hell and wouldve benefited greatly if he had to actually defend his good qualities for once, instead of just blatantly accepting them and not showing any actual strength gained from it as hes not contested or confronted. explain how youve changed to an old picture of yourself, you will feel stupid and disingenuous. thats exactly what the orginal scene is.
and sorry to the maker of this video, but like 3 or 4 ill chosen lines that obviously wont fit no matter what you do, is DOOMED to feel wrong and off, its out of place because the scene isnt the place for it.
Do you know the strongest word you can say to someone?
Help!
Asking for help
Young kratos would get the red ring
Old Kratos would get the blue ring
I still like young kratos more 😂
very cool
It’s like a neutered rat dog barking trying to intimidate a wild beast
yeah i get why the Creator of god of war hates dad of war Kratos.
while it does make sense as character development...even though they skipped a lot of it to have him to the point of loving again.
Not that there wasn't a plan to fight the norse butt itr was one where both Egyptian and Northic pantheons pulled an age of mythology after zeus died ....so Kragtos killed them all ...ALL gods, giving a chance for a mortal God to be born...and he would be one of 3 kings who would see the Mesiah at Belen and he would finally allow himself to die, finaLLY FALLING TO THE GUILT HE FELT
yeah Kratos was going to meet baby jesus....
it was dumber than what we got ...even if way more epic and pre DEI
and still Kratos would have his fatal flaw...
Now Kratos NEW fatal flaw is Guilt
adding in the additional words took away from the scene
which one is old kratos
The one with the long beard
this was posted MONTHS ago by someone else this is just stealing down to the same dialog choice
Okay why yall keep lieing...the yang one does not even speak...freaking lieing youtubers
