    Hi Peter. Fantastic work as always! I second some of the people’s comments/request to have the ability to have:
    (1) multiple saveable profiles (music, gaming, movies etc) but also;
    (2) ability to also adjust the centre, left and right audio. I feel that my left and right speakers do not have a great dynamic range and I usually can’t tell things moving left to right (too much, only a little bit) despite having a wide front room.
    Hit thumbs up if you guys agree too!

    Question for you Peter: Do you still recommend adjusting the physical angle of the Sonos ARC based on ceiling hight and the distance to the primary listening position? Would it be better for overall sound quality to keep the Sonos ARC level and increase the height channel volume? Adjusting the angle of the Sonos ARC has improved the Atmos effect but I’m concerned it also may be having a negative impact on the center channel due to the center speakers being slightly angled towards the ground. I would also like to thank you for the work that you do putting these videos together. You have helped me get the most out of my Sonos system!

      Sonos just needs to listen to the consumers...A lot of people have good ideas. The problem is that A- it cost the company for more sound formats or B they lack the technical programing to carry out the task. Think about it some people use a sonos sequencer in order to pair certain speakers....surely they would know how to do that if it was Sonos listening to the consumers.

    It would be great if they gave users more control over wifi too, eg leave enabled for dependent devices (eg arc and sub) but disable Sonosnet. Not everyone wants to add another 2.4ghz channel to their house. My only option is to disconnect Ethernet from arc which doesn’t make much sense.

    Can you tell us an actually Movie ( maybe Netflix) when it sounds like the helicopter or jet is actually flying over head so we can test a height channels. Or maybe someone else can comment on this with a movie. Just curious then the ceiling height , the distance the couch is away from the arc ( listening position) , the height off the floor the arc is. I think it is all science because of the dependency of the bounce. Thanks Also it is way easier for me to pull speaker wires for height channels than it is to get an electrician in to wire the heights above. May as well switch back to a receiver if I go that route. Also I would not ever be limited then to sound formats as I am with Sonos. Lastely they should allow the center channel to be adjusted. Most people that have home theaters also spend more on teh center channel since that is where dialogue comes from. It's funny sonos in the matric list the arc as LF ( not arc) and no C. Lastly lets not forget many people have this in a living room and not a dedicated room. Sonos theater should never be in a dedicated room if you want awesome sound period without sound format limits. No offence people. Don't misinterrupt what I am saying as I enjoy my Sonos gear.

    Frankly, I'd rather see Sonos implement Atmos in the rears before implementing discreet for the fronts - a Sonos One with an upward firing speaker shouldn't be that great an ask... mind you, then I'd have to replace my 5's as rears with a pair of 1's, which would hurt me as I love the 5's.

    by increasing the height audio, does that make angling the back of the sonos arc not necessary now?

    • @PeterPee
      @PeterPee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Volume and direction are different. You’ll still angle it but if it’s too soft you then increase the heights volume. I don’t like increasing the heights channel too much as it will distort the sound imaging.

      It really depends on what your preference is, and your environment. If you want a little more pronounced heights effect, increase it to your liking.

    Hi are 2 sidewalls absolutely essential for the soundbar to work?

    • @PeterPee
      @PeterPee  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it helps to bounce the surround sound around. But because the side drivers on the arc are mounted 90 degrees off to the sides already you will get a wide stage already. So good to go!

      @@justinbrowns1945 umm all I'm asking for is 2 side speakers don't need and electrician to run to power cords on sides of room. All my houses have power on all 4 walls.

    Peter are you on payroll with Sonos. One additional comment when Sonos came out with the ARC back in June 2020 Sonos laid off 150 plus employees. Move on from Sonos over rated product.
