Destiny has a habit of making the wrong decisions, taking almost every wrong turn to destroy what little it has beyond good gun play but damn, they nailed that scene. The ice breaks and the music swells as the guardian for once decides to speak. What does he have to say? A game with dialogue that usually boils down to "It was [X] until it wasn't" goes the extra mile to deliver a proper, badass line. "The only thing we have to break here - is you." Damn, i never thought i'd see the day that Destiny managed to give me chills. I never thought anything would manage to surpass the taken king but maybe, just maybe, this is a sign that Bungie is relearning the art of good story telling. Fingers crossed!

Even the vault of glass got re released and it was the first raid I ever did in destiny 2 (never did a raid before d2 vog) and 30 new weapons this season WITH STORY!??? The only thing now is crucible, gambit, and some of the places like Nessus or edz need more content but other than that it is slowly becoming better.
I like how our guardian is getting slightly more talkative with each new expansion, with 2 lines worth of Dialogue in Forsaken, 8 (possibly, I don’t remember) in ShadowKeep, and with like 11 in Beyond Light
Hopefully will get more dialogue from our Guardian in the future, and not just in cutscenes, but as responses to other characters dialogue during missions and activities. I get the point is for players to see themselves as a blank slate to their character. But Destiny 2’s story would feel more impactful and engaging imo, if our Guardian had some input instead of being a mostly silent witness.

What's funny about the Destiny community is that our guardian has spoken before in Destiny 1 but yet we all choose to remember him/her as quiet up to a point where our guardian speaking is the #1 most shocking thing to happen like lol our guardians aren't our online GTA characters they're still characters affecting a cannon storyline, they're going to have to talk at some point. Like the time we first meet the Exo Stranger and when she left we call our ghost "Little Light." And when we meet the Awoken we tell the guards that we come from Earth in hopes to speak with the council and ask Uldren Sov why he wants the head of a Vex Gatelord.
Can do you do a video with all the moments where the guardian talks, but with each voice from the different species you can choose from the character selection It would start from human, to awoken, and then to exo on the same cutscene (You can remove the awoken from the video if you want to, they sound the same as human, but its your choice, yes? (Insect like chattering)
I believe bungie made it to where all males have the same voice actor and all female have the same one, aside from exos having a tech filter overlapping their voice, I was going to but sadly they changed it.
i feel that, i genuinely think when are guardian talks it allows the story to feel more involving in a way. One of the biggest issues for me right now even with all the great writing, it feels like we are being told a story rather than being a part of it.

Too much money, for the amount of languages and voices they'd have to hire. We have 3 races, with 2 genders for each. So 6 voice actors alone they'd have to hire just for the English version. Now think about hiring even more voice actors with all the other languages that Destiny has localized. It's why the Guardian didn't talk much in D2 up until the expansions. Considering Bungie is now independent, and doesn't have the money that Activision were able to supply them, they need to be smarter about all this. So if they want to add more dialog, they need to limit the voice actors. It sucks, but hey, if it means that our Guardians can talk more, I'm fine by that.

Cause Bungie can’t keep getting SIX voice actors together to do lines. It’s easier and better to just have one per gender and not per race.
