It always amazed me how the yanks got an extra letter K in front of the Z for 76 onwards, but still only offered a single disc brake setup on the front. Unlike ours that got the twin disc set-up as standard, they were still offering it as an option. They did the same with their 77 & 78 KZ1000 A1 & A2's as well. So two different build specs. KZ & Z. So you can quite often spot a U.S. import that way 😉
