but also the pain. that's what i remember the most, just how much she hurt me. just recently i realized (during therapy) that every girl i've been with or had a crush on ever since has been a her. the white version, the black version, the asian version, they were all in one way or another her.
it made me realize that not processing such intense pain/trauma continues to do damage if you leave it unresolved. i'm over her biphobic racist circle of friends and the role they played but there's still the stuff that happened independent of the external factors i'm working on. i hope that when i'm done, that first time we FINALLY kissed and those early days we were together are the images that will pop in my head when i think of her. it had felt so right then and everything seemed to have clicked. it was just such a beautiful and magical time.

But I do agree we must stop polluting, since we are poisoning our foodsource.
So instead of symbolic politics that end up putting more, how about starting with banning all use of plastic... We do already have environmentally friendly substitutes!

About a year ago I bought my first hybrid car. It was expensive, but I was determined to reduce my carbon footprint. About 60% of my drivetime is electric. It takes about 3 months to use 1/2 to 3/4 tank of gas.

his perfect smile cast the most beautiful glow from the neon Budweiser sign over the bar. As if he could sense someone looking his way, he scanned the room. His incredible eyes locked onto mine, and he smiled coyly at me. I quickly turned into Beaky the Buzzard from Warner Brothers... "uh huh... no, no, no, no, no... uh, nope"
But as I looked up again, he was on the move my direction.
He confidently walked up to me and in a deep, sexy voice he said, "Hi. I'm Drew."
I opened my mouth and with every bit of 18 year old confidence I could muster, I said, "I got on new socks!"
... the rest was sort of a blur as my knees went weak, my vision blurred, and my ears only heard my best friend's voice, "Smooth one Russ. Real smooth."
To this day in that town they call bombing at a hookup bar "pulling a Russ". 🤭
LOL! You have my sympathies, Russ. I think I had a permanent case of foot-in-mouth until I was 30.
Thanks for bringing back memories that I have not thought about for some time. Wow! My first love was over 30 years ago but I still love to remember. It lasted for a few months. When it ended I too was crushed thinking I would never love again. But love does come again. My love and I have been together for almost 17 years and we even live in different cities. Somehow we work it out. Love your videos, Andrew.

I'm currently going to college for environmental engineering and I get so excited when people talk about being better for the environment! I've started growing my own garden and herbs and started composting and I always bring my own water bottle to fast food restaurants so I dont use plastic, and dont get straws or plastic bags or to go containers (I bring my own containers), ect...but yeah I just love you and your content so to use your platform for something good is amazing!

Two stories here and your environmental concerns are mine as well. I live in Canada and politicians here are much like yours. Everyone talks the talk but no one’s doing anything concrete and there’s more ice melt in the Arctic than is normal. I’m in Newfoundland and we see ice bergs every year. They come down with the Labrador Current and only begin to melt when they meet the Gulf Stream. Quite a sight to see. You should consider taking AndrewGoesPlaces to see our beautiful but rugged province. Had to laugh at your off hand comment about no gays in Arkansas.

Brought back so many sad emotions for me. My first was sixteen and lasted two years. I really thought this was forever until he just stopped talking to me completely. My family moved soon after and I didn’t see him again for twenty years. Feelings are still strong and he is as handsome as ever.
It took several months to feel normal after that.

@@andrewgoesplaces I remember it being the first week of middle school I was about 11/12 it was the first time I ever felt these type of feelings and there he was in my PE Class right away I knew I liked him, any chance I got I try and caught a glimpse of him creating all these fantasy's of me & him together but sadly I don't think he felt the same so I kept my distance right away cuz I was afraid of being outed but one good thing did come from it I never quite understood myself until I meet him things started to make sense

I Was in the band in middle school, and high school. Whoever says being in the band is a dork they are idiots. Being in band was one of my greatest experiences in my life. I loved being in band it has taught me so much about music. Making friends and going on trips.

Yeah I have noticed our weather has changed more so with in the last year I'm in as 2hours from Phoenix az and during monsoons i have seen storms get more intense than normal but yes the hot weather was intense temps over 108 to 110 where I'm at but Phoenix had 118 temps last June it's crazy

Loved the informative intro! Some people still don't know about how our planet is at a point of no return.
My first bf was in 2009. The relationship lasted a month. His name was the same as mine. We would go clubbing every sat. I never got into the drinking thing. After the club we'd go to breakfast with friends. He lived at home with his parents. (still does and is in his 40s) He broke it off with me. I was a little upset. Then he had a relationship with a friend of mine. That went on for 6 years. My friend would come to me. Telling me how the guy pretty much treats him like a door mat. It anger me and i said some harsh things. That eventually got back to him. We no longer speak but as far as I'm concerned. He is a jerk and a waste of space. My friend eventually broke up with him. Now my friend goes on a lot of dates. Yet isn't taking the time to heal. Before dating after having a lengthy relationship. My friend and i dont date bc he doesn't want to ruin the friendship we have.
Ah! So you were a trumpet player...that kind of makes sense. ;)
I was a percussionist, and while I did snare drum a lot earlier in my band days, for my last three years of band in public school, I was an auxiliary percussionist because I was the youngest person in my section my sophomore year and got relegated to things like cowbell and triangle...but then got so good at those that I ended up having to stick with them afterwards, even though I was the "administrator" of the percussion section (and learned that others were better at other things than me, so it would be best for them to play them!).
But one of the advantages of being a percussionist was that in addition to having a lot of time to socialize amongst ourselves since we hardly ever got called on during band class to play on our own (which meant we had tremendous philosophical conversations every day!), we also got to see and hear everything and everyone else in the band, which was good because there were a lot of cuties in band that I then got to look at from behind!
I don't have any stories like yours associated with band...mostly upset and lack of even getting to a point of telling anyone I liked them. Oh well...! ;)
