Last 10 words of the video = best thing I've heard lately. Sage advice.

Nice job on the boots, Jimmy. I will look for that brand and try it on my boots. Thanks for sharing.

Love my Georgia logger boots with 400g Thinsulate, Gor-Tex liners, and composite safety toe. My feet have never been cold in the winter, that includes goofing around with my daughter wading through shallow streams in the winter. My feet feel bullet proof in these boots.

Hi Jimmy Happy Sunday. Did it warm up there? That was very interesting about the gophers. Those boots are just broke in! He he he! Beer break, nice. Those boots look almost new. Great job. Very interesting video. Have a great safe week!

      Thank you, Nancy 😊
It did warm up a bit. Most of the snow should be melted by the end of the week. Yeah, those pocket gophers are something else. Lol. Have a great Sunday evening 🍺👍😀

Hey Jimmy. Good to see some snow. Exactly how I protect my hunting boots and my Red Wing logging boots! Clean em up and then warm em up in front of the wood stove before application. I've used Sno Seal for decades with good results. Cheers!

Thanks, my friend. Good info. i'm going to look for some of that stuff. It's a good excuse to get a fire going, too 👍🍺. Have a great Sunday

How often do you do this process?

    • @JimmyMeatwhistle

It really depends on how nasty the conditions my boots are working in.

I use Obemauf's. Best stuff I've ever used.
Anytime is a good time for a hydraulic sandwich 🥪 😋

Haha, yes, on the hydraulic sandwich 🤣🍻. Obenaufs has had some issues with delaminating boots for some

@JimmyMeatwhistle Good to know. I always enjoy your videos and "Shorts". We must be close in years ('68 for me). Can't wait to see the wood stove roaring in -30°.

I just got a pair of these but my old pair are so well molded to my feet it feels weird wearing anything new.

Nicely done. On my Corcoran 10' insulated I use Danner boot dressing. After application, I hit it with a hair dryer to melt the grease and distribute it better. Thank you.

Thanks for the vid Jimmy. I still watch your cabin videos. Any plan for more ?
Love nikwax but I have recently been using mink oil and it last a lot longer than the nikwax…

      Hi David, and thanks 😊
Might try to bring back the cabin videos, but it got kind of weird when that one video went viral. Or viral for me anyway l o l. I had a couple of weirdos trying hard to find it and coming close. 😒.
      Re Mink Oil.
I've had crappy results with it. See below.
"If you use mink oil on leather, over time bacteria and mold will build up on the item. At first, the mink oil will seemingly condition your leather. However, eventually the mink oil will oxidize and have the reverse desired effect: It will harden your leather. This is also true of Neatsfoot oil, another commonly recommended animal product for leather that does more damage than good."

Thanks for the info regarding mink oil. I will keep this in mind when my boots need another application.
I will probably still use mink oil on my work boots for now.
But will use nikwax for my nicer boots.. 🤠

A good pair of boots that are built to last.
